Tangle Tower hyperfixation go brrrr, have some headcanons about my favourite character (Fitz)
Born at the tower. His mum left soon after he was born and his dad, alongside other ambassadors, left when he was still a kid (can't decide on a specific age, but before he was teenaged)
Was a talkative and high energy kid, and if given the chance he would talk about plants for hours. Eventually realised that none of the adults in the tower were actually listening to him, or really cared about what he was talking about, so he withdrew in on himself
After Flint (his dad) left Fitz was given his room. Ya know how in game it says that the ambassadors took or destroyed everything before they left? Yeah that's why Fitz's room is so bare, can't bring himself to decorate it much
Did not know about Poppy's crush on him. He was just happy that someone had the same interest as him
Autistic 👍
That's all I have right now, may return if I think of more. Also if anyone in the fandom is still alive, please I beg of you drop the discord link. I need to consume more content of this game

*Board meeting between the railway owners of Sodor in dead silence.*
Sir Topham Hatt: *Silently pulls out a comically large brief case with a tiny ass laser pointer and activates an old projecter to throw a display of three gauges of engine on the wall.* Gentlemen, I am here to open your eyes. We aren't owners of engines, We own several large metal dogs.
Mr Percival: *Spits out his tea*
Thin controller: Did you forget to take your pills again sir?
Sir Topham: No guys seriously, I'm not insane! Look here! *Rapidly flipping through slides and swinging the laser pointer* Really useful engine = Goodboy! Confusion and delay = Bad dog! Special Specials = Treats! Shunting = Play time! Pulling trains = Walks. We are literally operating the worlds largest dog parks!
Lady Hatt: He's outta line, but he's right.
Sir Topham Hatt: Besides, all of the accidents that the engines make are literally things that dogs do all the time!!!!
Sir Topham Hatt: I mean, just look at Thomas, James and Percy!!!!! These three definitely radiate yappy dog energy!!!!
*Thomas, James and Percy crash into various things in the background*

PJM Headcanons Y'all Didn't Ask For (But I'm Giving You Anyways)
Armadylan is the tallest on the team while Gekko and An Yu tie for the shortest (Gekko swears he's taller, he's not).
Bastet is still taking racing lessons (sometime the Speedy Twins give her pointers when they're feeling nice).
Lilyfay sometimes doodles when she's not on missions, but she mostly draws things she's seen on other planets.
When Romeo and Night Ninja hang out, the Ninjalinos and Flybots play together.
The Ninjalinos are Night Ninja's little siblings and he would kill you if you laid a finger on them.
Newton and Lilyfay like to race across galaxies sometimes, but 90% of the time, Lilyfay ends up distracted.
Pharaoh Boy and Bastet are both fluent in Arabic, while An Yu is fluent in Chinese.
Luna Girl and Owlette have sleepovers often, sometimes on the moon and sometimes at Owlette's house.
Connor is the fastest in his class but still manages to lose to Amaya in soccer.
Pharaoh Boy has multiple walk-in closets. He also has at least 3 outfit changes on him at all times.
Bastet and An Yu both had a hard time adjusting to technology, Newton Star and PJ Robot taught them how to use some tech though.
An Yu has claustrophobia from being stuck in the gong for too long but the heroes have tried to help her work through it.
Lilyfay has ADHD.
Robot helps Romeo with his hair in the morning.
Ice Cub is a comic fanatic he has ever issue of every comic you could possibly think of.
Octobella practices some of her spells on Percival (but lately she's been trying some new spells out on the heroes).
Bastet, Pharaoh Boy, and An Yu refuse to go to therapy (they need it tho).

there's something about penny that I feel fairly qualified to say. that I would get nervous seeing from anyone I don't know. so I'm going to say it and hope everyone trusts that I know what I'm talking about here because it's been eating at me
Massive spoilers for Tangle Tower under the cut + long post
Penny, Penelope, Hawkshaw - Whatever identity she's taking, it all feels indicative of a dissociative disorder, to me. I say this as a bug with a dissociative disorder. Clarifying this now because I know how easy it can be to slip into the "evil alter" trope and that is NOT what I am trying to say here. Okay are we all cool? I'm continuing.
We don't know exactly when Penny's parents left. But I did crunch some numbers. Based on what Felix has to say about her - How she was raised by her uncle Percival, but was overlooked for Poppy - as well as her own admissions in the end of the game establishing that the study was still in use while she was young, the absolute earliest her parents likely left is when she was eight. Eight years old, and practically abandoned. Now, in all likelihood, they didn't leave as soon as possible. There was probably a bit longer of a gap between Poppy's birth and Penny's parents leaving Tangle Tower. But if she was a legal adult - At least eighteen - by the time her parents left, I doubt they would have described her as being raised by her uncle.
But even then, she was traumatized well before her parents left. That's just the final nail in the coffin.
While the study was in use... They were making use of the furnace. The one she admits made her room hot. That convinced her she was haunted.
That would do horrible things to the psyche of a child.
That, along with her parents leaving at a young age? That could absolutely be the inciting incident for a dissociative disorder of some kind.
And I haven't even factored in how she was likely treated as not Really a member of the family by her uncle but that's something for another post. Because it's another layer of analysis that would take way longer for me to establish my theorizing for.
Anyway. Penny went through a lot, is my point here.
And it shows. She can slip between her facets as easily as sliding into a pool with barely any bleedthrough between them. She can be whatever she has to be. Craft a new identity like it's nothing.
And the way she talks about it, too - Even in the end, she talks about Hawkshaw as if she's someone else entirely. Talks about Penny as if Penny isn't her. Insists on being called Penelope, though Sally and Grimoire keep calling her Penny regardless.
I think, in some way, it's true. She's not Penny. Not really. Not in her head. Penny is someone else - Someone who adapted to life in the Pointer family. Always second best. As she says herself, Penny pales in comparison to those who came before and after her. And this is no accident. It would probably help her cope, or at least make her treatment make sense. If Penny was something developed when she was young, it would make sense.
And Penelope... Is another coping mechanism. Born from her need to fill the shoes of her parents, to belong with them.
But both are formed through a need to belong. To fill a spot in the lives of others. Neither of them, and both at the same time, are truly her. And it would explain why leaving Tangle Tower never helped her... Her identity was formed entirely around her life there. Molded to be the perfect addition to the Pointer family.
Where does that put Hawkshaw, then? If I'm being fully honest I don't know. Hawkshaw is definitely something different, or at least a more recent facet of her identity that's fractured off. Not fully fleshed out beyond the role she needed to serve. And Penelope very intentionally invented Hawkshaw. So I think really she's little more than a costume, especially in the time we see her. Maybe she'd develop into something more, given time. Maybe not. I have no clue.
All this to say. I think Penny has something going on in her mind. I think maybe there's something dissociative happening that's caused her to split herself in two just to cope with everything that's happened to her, and I don't even think she knows that's what's going on. Who's going to tell her

(prev) Trismegistus sighed. They also doubted that Bishop Percival would help them. Especially since they had an inkling that he hated them. (Although not nearly to the same extent as Reverend Miriam.) Then Tris returned Cas’ mischievous grin when he brought up the experiment they previously discussed in varying levels of seriousness. “Kukuku..,” they sinisterly chuckled as they held their hand in front of their mouth. “Surely it’d be easy to pick off some lonesome losers…” They laughed a little longer before sighing and glancing up at Cas. “Perhaps we should skip asking Bishop Percival… He may just shut our project down to keep us dependent on his power, or to screw with us or whatever,” they said with dismissive wave. “Like how he was cross with Doctor Walters because he outfitted the Glornch with fireproof robes.” A single rant had gotten a month’s worth of words out of him. It was a shame that it was hard to find the small cracks in his otherwise cool demeanor. Tris pulled the spec sheet for their latest portal out while pondering how they would store enough power. Would they have to keep a tank of ghosts to drain? There had to be an easier way, right? Maybe they crystalize their essence? “We should ask Reverend Mike instead.” Tris put their hand on their chin. “I wouldn’t count on him for souls either… Yet his knowledge of artifacts may be directly applicable to our fusion of magic and technology.”
Cas raised a reprimanding pointer finger, about to scold Professor Trismegistus on their total lack of faith in Bishop Percival. Sure, Cas would agree the bishop liked to bullshit around and maintain a certain level of control on things, but he never once impeded Cas' research (save for not wanting to participate in it.) He was unaware of any animosity Percival may have had for Tris.
But before Cas could get a word out, his mind got caught on the fact that the Glornists now had it easy with fireproof robes, and he was further distracted by the spec sheet Tris brought out.
He tapped his cheek as he thought about Reverend Mike. “We could ask him… And because we’re buds I think he’d help; as long as we don’t mention this is specifically for an afterlife portal. I think he’d be too worried about us catching the attention of an angry god.” He then sighed as he sunk down into the table. “Plus, I’m not sure how much longer he has on his mission before he’ll be back. I lose track of days easily.”
But then Cas perked up with an idea. “Hey, I know who we could also try asking! Specs! Er, Autumn. Mike put them in charge of the crypt while he’s away. Not only that, but after I died, they took on my late night shadow creature hunting. So she might have some ideas.”

(Previous) Cas drifted out of the glass when the professor started ranting, still invisible. Tch… What a rude-ass! Though… They were a bit right. But still, being called boring wounded Cas’ pride. If they wanted something exciting, then he’d deliver. He took a few moments to brainstorm something. Then, Cas appeared before them. His head was pitifully sunken, and he was sheepishly tapping his pointer fingers together. “Oh. Forgive me. I was reborn as a ghost into the mortal realm only a couple of hours ago. I’m still getting used to things and practicing my scares. Sprinklers..,” he cracked a wicked grin, “What a fantastic idea.” Cas flew up into one sprinkler. It wasn’t even the one above Tris; it was one that was a bit closer to the stairwell. It briefly rattled before bursting alive with water. And it just so happened that a certain exhausted priestess had given a quick goodbye to Reverend Mike and was eagerly getting back to her room to sleep. In the main floor’s hallway, she was just within earshot to hear the telltale sound of a sprinkler below, just as Cas had hoped. Miriam came rushing down the stairs, praying she was just hearing things. But she saw that she wasn’t. And past the cascade of slightly stinky water, she also saw the professor, making them an immediate suspect. “TRISMEGISTUS!” she roared. Though she didn’t dare get any closer to the water to go after them.
Tris crossed their arms and rolled their eye while flatly saying, “Oh please. You can't scare me with my own idea-”
When Reverend Miriam roared Tris’ eye shrunk to a pinprick. “It, it wasn’t me!” They frantically pointed the at the last place they saw the ghost. “The ghost did it! Honest!"

Light Consorting with Shadows
Chapter 6: Home
[previous]
For several months now Lancelot continued to train the princess, eventually the King was even willing to give her some pointers on some hand-to-hand combat. Lancelot might have been great with the sword, but Sonic was much faster than the Knight. From time to time, the King and his knight would spar, occasionally providing Aurora some important advice during their demonstration. Throughout the summer months, Aurora definitely improved. So much so, that she had the upper hand against the Knight in some of the sessions they held together. Now that Aurora had more training, Lancelot even allowed her to go on patrol with him. The princess enjoyed these patrols with the knight, but did they have to be before the sun even came up?
King Alastair, his son Baron came to pay a visit. To Aurora's disappointment it concerned her courtship with Baron. They started to become acquainted while he stayed for a couple weeks in Camelot. Aurora quickly learned that he was a boring jerk who was too proud of his role as the next heir to his father's throne. He gave him a chance, however, the princess made it perfectly clear that any romantic advances towards her wasn't accepted. She overheard her parents speaking about their courtship, stating that they didn't approve of arranged marriages - like Alastair had. To her surprise, he handled it better than she would have thought. They still would allow Baron to get to know their daughter a little more, though. Unbeknownst to her parents, whenever she knew Baron was planning to meet with her, she climbed out of her balcony and disappeared from sight for several hours.
The following day Alastair packed up their belongings, and departed. Aurora exhaled in relief. For the next several weeks after she did her studies, she continued with her training. When she came across the training grounds, she discovered that Sir Lancelot wasn't present. She could have sworn they had planned to meet tonight. Instead, she saw Sir Percival getting ready. The cat glanced over, and bowed politely. "Evening, princess. Are you ready for your training?"
The princess hoped the disappointment didn't show on her face, "Uh, ok!" Aurora reminded herself that Sir Percival was just as much as skilled 'trainer' as Lancelot would be. This could be good for her to learn her own fighting methods. Aurora gathered her own armor, and wielded her sword at ready. Underneath the cat's mask, she smiled before charging at the princess.
--
The night before...
Lancelot received a letter from a messenger that mounted on a horse, leaving seconds later to make his next delivery. Noting that it was from his former home Glastonbury he quickly opened the letter. He hadn't received a letter in almost a year, now. But, he's guilty of not writing back, so he couldn't blame her for the lack of communication. Some of the ink had been smeared, so he couldn't make out half of it. He only saw what he needed to:
"....They may force us out of our homes... They're capable of anything, I fear. If this finds you in time, dear. We need you're help.
Love,
Maria."
His heartbeat pounded in fear. The knight did not waste anymore time. Lancelot packed some of his belongings and made haste out the door, he received a confused look by the King when he rushed by, Sonic quickly veered infont of the knight, causing him to come to a stop. "Lance, you look like you've seen a ghost. Is everything ok?" Honestly, the king looked worried for his knight. He had never seen such fear in his eyes before.
"Sire, I can't... explain right now. I apologize." He responded, struggling to catch his breath. Lancelot made it pass the blue hedgehog and out the door of the palace, leaving Sonic behind. He was relieved to know that he wasn't followed. He would have to explain more when he returned.
--
The journey could have taken a day to reach, but at the speed he was traveling the knight reached the village he made it by sunset. When he could see a dark cloud of smoke, his pace quickened even more. Oh, Chaos. Was he too late? Homes were burned to ashes, there were some that was savable but... what about the residents? Were they burned alive? His heart immediately sunk when he noticed his old home were burned to the ground. Lancelot picked through any remains of what was in the house. He froze when he heard hooves rushing in his direction. "You!" The dark individual shouted. Lancelot quickly withdrew his weapon. The stranger dismounted his horse and charged towards the Knight. His smaller sword meeting Lancelot's. They sparred momentarily, until another hooded individual came from behind Lancelot, catching him off guard. The knight felt like he was off his game right now, he was letting his emotions getting the best of him.
Lancelot's breath was knocked out of him when he hit the ground. The stranger forced Lancelot's helmet off, and aimed his dagger at his head. Lancelot felt for his weapon - he must have lost it when he had fallen. The end of the blade grazed his temple, and then all of sudden an arrow was shot through the hooded man's chest. Lancelot quickly got to his feet, and focused on his other attacker. Killing him within seconds. Lancelot searched around them, wondering if there were more men around here. When he looked to his left, he saw his savior. She was a tall human, with dirty blonde hair tied up in a messy pony-tail. When she removed her hood, Lancelot was flooded with relief. Maria looked more concerned that she actually killed someone, once their eyes met though, he could have sworn he had saw tears in her soft blue eyes. "You came!" The pair embraced, Maria squeezing him so tight that he feared that she'd shatter his armor. "Shadow... - wait what are you wearing?" Her blue eyes searching his form.
The knight rubbed the back of his head, in his former letters to Maria in the past he had told her that he worked for the royal family, but didn't exactly go into much details. "I'm the head knight of Camelot." The dark hedgehog explained.
"Here I was hoping you were doing something less dangerous..." Maria shook her head, pushing away her bangs. Lancelot snorted, the pair walked off to a nearby lake. "I was afraid I wouldn't see you again."
"Who did this?" Lancelot wondered if Maria was the only one that made it.
"I'm not exactly sure who they are, Shadow." The knight's ear twitched, still not use to hearing that name. "They demanded our food supply, medical supplies, and our money, and said their King would force out of the village. Something about claiming territory, I think." That didn't set well with the hedgehog. Maria lead the knight a few yards away, discovering an underground passageway. "We heard them coming, and hid down here. Some of the men defended our home, but unfortunately it was too late..." Maria whispered to her friend. The knight vowed to everyone that he will make sure they pay for they've done. He knew it wasn't practical to stay in here anymore, surely they would be welcomed in Camelot. Until they could get justice for their loss. He wasn't sure how many townspeople would feel about humankind, but honestly he did not care. He announced to the villagers about the plan, they would leave before daybreak. He helped some of the people repair their weapons (for the time being at least, they weren't very sturdy like the weapons back at Camelot). They settled in for bed, while the dark knight kept watch. Only the sounds of random critters could be heard throughout the night while millions of thoughts ran through his head. His body was filled with so much rage right now. Yet, the knight knew better to react in anger, because he had Maria's safety and the rest of this community's safety to think about.
On the journey back to Camelot, Lancelot took the lead, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched. He even swore he saw piercing red eyes staring back at him, when he looked over his shoulder. A shiver ran up his spine, and he quickened his pace with the villagers. Shaking it off as if it was nothing.
--
Aurora was starting to really enjoy training with Sir Percival, the princess learned a lot of new fighting methods that Lancelot had never demonstrated. Aurora also discovered that she was more agile than Lancelot, which kinda threw her off during the training, but she eventually got the upper hand. The lavender cat was very impressed. After the training sessions, the two started to learn more about another. Sir Percival actual name was in fact Blaze, Aurora witnessed her using pyrokinesis; making her able to create and control fire. She admitted that she rarely likes to use it, because it could get dangerously out of hand. Aurora gained a lot of respect for this knight during their time together.
Near daybreak, she heard a commotion just outside of her quarters. Pulling her silk sheets off of her, curiosity getting the better of her. Feeling groggy, and dazed, she poked her head out. Faintly, hearing her father's voice echo through the hallway. There was an unfamiliar female voice that followed suit. She strained to listen.
"Sire, my friend Shadow tells me that you could provide us some food and shelter." The female voice spoke again. Sonic was confused, who the heck is this Shadow guy?
"I don't really recall meeting this friend of yours... uh.. " His head knight cleared his throat, awkwardly stepping forward, causing Sonic to go quiet.
"It is I, sire."
Aurora was fully awake now, and too invested in this conversation. She tiptoed in the direction where the voices was coming from, on the other side of the wall. Over the years, she became pretty skilled in eavesdropping on some of her parents conversations. She peeked down the hallway where they were standing. It was just her father, a human girl with long dirty blonde hair, and the dark knight beside her.
The blonde-haired girl awkwardly responded next, "I mean Lancelot... my apologizes I wasn't aware that you didn't know him by that name." Aurora saw her father nod in acknowledgement.
The King wasn't fazed, "I'm always willing to help. You're welcome to stay here, and then tomorrow we can talk about what happened back at Glastonbury." Aurora saw her father gesture towards some guards in the hallway. They started to make their way towards the exit of the palace. Near the entrance of the city, there were some empty two story buildings that were mainly for visitors, and for those in desperate need. Sonic had people assigned to bring food, and different necessities that they may need. Right now, the homes were fully stocked for any visitor. If they needed medical attention, Sonic guided them to his most reliable physician. Aurora watched from her balcony, catching a glimpse of her father and Lancelot returning to the castle. They stopped at the top of the stairs, before her father went onward leaving the Knight alone. His eyes locked with hers, in response she looked away, whistling innocently.
"Spying can get you in trouble, princess."
"How dare you! I'm just enjoying this beautiful sunrise." She teased. If anyone would have caught her spying, it would be him. Or her own father on rare occasions. "So... uh, who were those people? And that lady with you?" The princess had so many questions, but from the knight's rough appearance, perhaps she shouldn't pry too much.
He gave a sigh, "we can talk about it tomorrow. For now, try to get some more rest." It was clear that Lancelot didn't want to get too personal right now. Aurora respected his wishes, and the pair said goodnight to one another.
The hours that went by were dragging slowly, or at least that's how it felt, as the princess couldn't rest very well. After tossing and turning for an hour longer, Aurora finally gave in and fell asleep as the sun pierced through her room. She was grateful to her lady-in-waiting for leaving her alone, and allowing her to rest as much as she needed.
By lunch hour, she was woken up by her mother's lady-in-waiting instead. Reluctantly, Aurora started to get ready for the day ahead of her. When she joined the dining hall, she just saw her mother sitting there. Which was rare to see. Before she could even ask about her father, he came through the double doors behind them and joined the pair at the table, then the servers immediately laid out a spread of food before them. "Did they get settled in alright?" Amy looked at Sonic, concern written all over her face. In response, Sonic just nodded with a mouthful of food.
"I'm gonna discuss everything at the roundtable later today. We don't even know who ambushed them. There's rumors of the Royal court trying to claim that piece of land as their own. That's all we know." Sonic shrugged. The royal family fell quiet, Aurora wanted to chime in on the conversation but that would give away that she was in fact eavesdropping last night, therefore, she kept silent. Their lunch was interrupted by a guard bursting in the door, addressing the king that the townspeople were not too thrilled about their visitors. Sonic looked disappointed. The family removed themselves from the dining table.
Ahead of them, a crowd of townspeople were surrounding the palace. They were yelling, shouting out insults towards these strangers. In Camelot the citizens weren't use to humankind being their neighbors, and they were wondering why their King had allowed them in the comforts of their home. Some of the knights were trying to calm them down, while other guards were blocking them from getting closer to the entrance of the palace. Sonic addressed the townspeople once the hateful outbursts finally settled down. "Everyone knows I am a fair leader, if anyone comes to us for help. I will not hesitate to offer aid." His voice stern, as he addressed his people. "I know you have your concerns, however, they currently have no home of their own. Camelot is fortunate to have shelter, and anything they may need at this moment. For now, I ask you to treat them as your own kind." He overheard some townspeople mumbling in disgust, but they didn't cause a big scene. He encouraged them to carry on with their day, and give the strangers some space. After his speech, Sonic seemed very frustrated, but found a way to shrug it off, as his knights gathered around him. All of them walking off in a different direction, leaving Aurora and her mother alone.
---
The Next Evening...
Aurora had settled on a stump near the lake just outside of the walls of Camelot. It was a still evening, and she found it to be soothing. She heard some footsteps behind her, making her bristle slightly. Glancing over her shoulder stood Lancelot, his brow raised slightly, but he didn't say a word. No lecture about being outside of the city. Instead, he sat down beside her. She smiled towards him, warmth traveling to her cheeks when his shoulder brushed against her own. "Percival said your training sessions has been going well." His eyes darted towards her own.
"Blaze," Aurora corrected him.
"Who...? Oh." He brought his knees to his chest, and stared off to the horizon. "Anyway, you apparently impressed her. Which isn't easy to come by." He snorted.
"I wasn't really expecting to be abandoned by my mentor," she teased. "I think I learned a lot training with her, though." Aurora admitted, her eyes gleaming in confidence.
"Tch, I didn't abandon you. I had... something to take care of."
"Dad seemed concerned when you left like that. He mentioned that you looked afraid. I have never known the 'great Lancelot' to be afraid." She elbowed him slightly. The knight hardly reacted to her. "What happened, exactly?" Aurora studied his expression after she started to encourage him to open up.
"I thought I would be too late, and she ..." Lancelot stood up suddenly, feeling uncomfortable about this conversation; the memory of that day was still fresh on his mind. "It doesn't matter what happened, Maria is safe now, as well as the others." He knew that Aurora would want to explain who this Maria person was, and why she was so important to him. "Her and I were raised up together." Lancelot sighed in defeat, suddenly his past becoming more clear. The knight refused to meet her gaze, he felt so vulnerable. "Back at home, I was known as Shadow the Hedgehog.." He admitted, "when I came to Camelot, I wanted to just be addressed as Lancelot."
"I think Shadow suits you better..." But honestly, after so many years of knowing him as Sir Lancelot, it would be hard to get use to calling him by another name. "What are ya'll gonna do?" Aurora was concerned, and it was clear to see in her eyes. The princess wanted to reach for his hand, she knew he was under a lot of stress right now. Unaware to her, just her presence right now was enough to keep this weary knight at ease.
Shadow blinked at her, a little taken back by the response. "Keep that between us, for now." He cleared his throat. The knight ran his hands through his quills, "your father and I have been talking about our next move. It'll be tricky with such vague details we have on who attacked them. We'll plan to head out to Glastonbury in a couple of days.." Shadow gave a long sigh, "can you promise me something, Rory?" His hand brushed against her own, instead of moving away from the royal hedgehog, in response, he grasped her hand. He felt a jolt of electricity shoot up his hand when they touched. "I trust you can hold your own. If I allow you to go with me." He swallowed a lump in his throat, "I want you to go with me." Awkwardly, the knight looked away, squeezing her hand. "Please remember everything Percival and I taught you. For, it could surely be a life or death situation." He paused, their gaze finally meeting once more. Aurora opened her mouth to speak, but the knight wasn't done. "This will not be another training session. These people desire to kill their opponent. I will not allow that to happen. I wouldn't ask if I didn't think you could handle it." Lancelot finally released her hand, but he honestly wished he hadn't let go; her hand fit so nicely in his own. "Percival is gonna help you fit into some proper armor in the morning."
Flabbergasted couldn't even express how she felt right now. Her heart was pounding in her chest ever since Shadow held it in his own. Perhaps she was dreaming all of this and in reality her maiden was trying to wake her. Aurora felt so flustered, and she knew it was visible on her face because Shadow's cheeks started to redden as well. "Uh...right! I promise to be careful, Lancelot!" But, she had a concern. Her father could be an obstacle. He would never allow her to go on a deadly mission like this. "My dad isn't gonna like your idea, though."
"Suddenly your obeying your father's wishes?"
"Hey, shut up!" She punched him in the arm. "I'm serious."
Shadow rubbed his arm, wincing, "after the improvement you have made with your training, I think your father... isn't as worried." He had mentioned that Sonic will indeed be traveling with them, so he could keep a closer eye on his daughter instead of pacing the floor back at the castle during their absence.
Aurora felt somewhat relieved that maybe her father was starting to see her as a young adult, now. But, she knew no matter how mature she was becoming she will always remain her dad's baby girl.
