"I vote for pajama day." 

With raised eyebrows the white haired Witcher grunted, "We aren't going monster hunting in pajamas." 

"I don't see why not, it's much more comfortable and has room for fighting in." She gave her best serious face attempting to reason with him.

He sighed, "I'd have to disagree armor is more protection, also you're less likely to get stabbed in it. 

“And after, your nightgowns are ruined in monster guts, what will you wear at night?" 

"I could wear nothing," A sum smirk creeped at the corners of her lips. 

They reached the bard ahead. "Why is she pouting?" He inquired as the pair joined for breakfast. 

"I wouldn't let her wear pajamas to a monster fight." The Witcher grunted.

The bard snorted and patted the girl on the back as the trio made their way into the tavern.

Traveling upon a long forgotten road, appeared, suddenly an archway covered in by a thicket with overgrown vines stretching across, the women in front ducked under beckoning her companies. Jaskier sent Geralt a curious glance looking up to see a towering gate that had been hidden behind. Jaisker watched as she waved her arms, the gates opened and they entered the vast property. 

Side by side on stone, sat muscular creatures almost dog-like with massive build statures. As Jaisker approached he jumped, skeptical, almost as if he felt the creature's warm breath. He hurried to catch up. The girl looked back with a knowing smirk.

They stopped at the steps of the fairytale-like castle, and the woman flourished her arm. “Without further ado my humble home.”

Jaisker stared in disbelief, head tilted. 

“Ah,” The man closed his mouth quickly, glancing at Geralt for confirmation. 

“But, this is a castle!” He waved his arms. “This whole thing is yours?!” 

She nodded her head. “Just you?” His eyebrows furred. 

Suddenly the ground rumbled violently, Jaisker looked up in panic, tripping just barely getting by as a large beast plowed past him. 

The girl animatedly rubbed his tummy as the creature rolled over and tumbled, knocking her about. The creature passed the girl's height.

“Were you good boys? Aaaw, of course you were perfect, always doing a good job protecting your home. Who’s a good boy!” 

Jaisker double takes for the second time, looking back at the blank stone petit stole. “That is definitely not a dog!” 

The girl’s lips pursed, “Their Hellhounds, they’re pretty much just big dogs.” 

 She scratched them behind the ear. “You’re just a big sweetie, aren’t you? Yes, you are!”

“I’m sure dogs aren’t the same size as a horse and have glowing eyes!”

 He turned to Geralt, “I see now, why she likes you.” The Witcher gave him his classic pointed look. 

"where did they even come from? How do you get them to stay?" 

"You forget that I can control monsters?"

it seems like melinoe is being trained for the task of recusing her father hades from cronos. there might be some push back from nemesis, school rival, about melinoe being picked for this, maybe we get to fight against her in-game?

Things are so alive :D

To the other witches of tumblr, and especially Persephone devotees; holy crap do you ALWAYS feel like this???? Y'all spring has me SO EMOTIONAL this year. I love the world so much. Things are so alive, they're blooming and the weather can't decide if it wants to be sunny or pour rain and I'm not even upset about it because it's all so pretty. I wanna sit under an overhang and listen to the rain. I wanna sit and feel the sun warm my back.

During winter, I had a personal event that essentially snapped me into awareness. I'm so much more in-tune than I was even last year, I've grown a lifetime in the past few months. I felt winter. I felt quiet, introspective, honestly a little sad like everything around me was dying a little because it was. But spring has hit and I felt it. I'm wanting to move, take action, I'm feeling alive and everything around me is ALIVE again???

Like, holy shit I just love everything right now and it's all thriving and for once so am I. I feel like part of the cycles of the earth and it's so... fun. I'm so full of love and sentiment right now it's honestly so nice.

i recently remembered DickTim Week 2024 is happening very soon and i looked at the prompts again to see if i could get anything out for it and. the Hades & Persephone AU prompt for day 1 has got me really thinking so here's a vague concept i plan to write.

i've been pretty burnt out on modern Hades & Persephone retellings because of how they always seem to fall into the same generic "innocent wide-eyed girl runs from her evil mean mother into the arms of a dark mysterious man because actually she went willingly and chose to marry him" which has gotten repetitive for my tastes. (for clarity i don't care if this retelling is your cup of tea personally, so long as you're not actively trying to rewrite the original myth and claim untrue things about it, if this is your favorite flavor i sincerely hope you enjoy the buffet i just have little interest in it since it feels overdone for me and exhausted of it's supposed commentary atp)

but? but. biblically accurate Hades & Persephone AU has me all kinds of interested. because wait listen so hear me out right. Hades!Dick and Persephone!Tim, obviously. i feel it'd be more loosely inspired by with themes and imagery (though playing with death and nature powers could be interesting, i haven't decided) rather than explicitly making them gods and all. but. something dark and fucked up where Dick and Bruce are especially estranged. maybe to do with Jason's return, maybe to do with them just clashing and having their usual explosive arguments. and Bruce knows the peace needs to be kept, if he and Dick are at odds then everyone starts to pick sides and things just fracture so he needs a peace offering.

and the peace offering is Tim.

Bruce (the stand-in for Zeus) offers up Tim. agrees to have Tim move to Bludhaven and be Dick's... whatever Dick wants him to be. knowing that with the implication comes the likelihood of Dick grooming Tim. and Tim has no real say and is hesitant to put up a real fight. he doesn't want this, he knows what this is going to imply Dick will do to him, but he also knows if he says no things have the possibility to just... fall apart. so he's the unwilling bride, dragged off to the metaphorical underworld (Bludhaven) with Dick, away from his family, his friends, the life he built.

and on the flip side, i think weirdly enough, your best pick for the Demeter stand-in is *Jason*. just, hear me out on that. not necessarily on the side of it being motherly, but on Jason being just estranged enough from the Batfamily to be the one willing to call it out for being bad and wrong and raising bloody hell to get Tim back. maybe it's because Jason wants Tim for himself, maybe it's truly out of a concern for Tim to have autonomy, i'm toying with the idea of it primarily being Tim's POV and him genuinely not knowing which of these is true. (and the truth possibly ends up being a complicated middle ground) and because i like Helena, i think you can use her as the Hekate stand in, the one who strikes a tentative alliance with Jason and tries to go find Tim and bring him back. Tim stuck with Dick, getting groomed and hyperaware of it, possibly even getting fucked the whole time as well, knowing he can't go back without causing massive issues for Dick and Bruce because well, Bruce did promise him to Dick. so he has to adjust his whole life, try to figure out being a vigilante in this new city with Dick breathing down his neck the whole time.

and then much like the ending of the myth, a sort of compromise is struck that's a shaky deal for everyone involved. Tim is put on an essential timeshare, going back and forth between Gotham, where he has friends and family and a support system, then getting dragged right back to Bludhaven with Dick in this brutal cycle that he slowly gets used to and stockholm'd into even liking it. Dick isn't so bad, once he gets used to the quirks of their unbalanced 'relationship'. the sex is even something he can adjust to as well. not quite a happy ending but one that sits in this realistic grey area that becomes Tim's life.

i will write this, eventually, but i don't know if i'll get to it before DickTim Week ends so by posting the idea i'm essentially putting it out into the world so the peer pressure holds me accountable. i just. really like the potential of making Hades/Persephone AUs as fucked up as they can be simply by adhering to the source material and making it a raw story of being stolen away and forced to like this new home you didn't ask for.

also a less fleshed-out aspect of this idea i have ties into Persephone becoming the Queen of the Underworld when she's taken and how the transition from Kore to Persephone could be reflected in Tim. how he makes the best of the worst situation and becomes something far more dangerous and dark when he's in Bludhaven, possibly takes on a new vigilante name/identity and leans into the worst quirks of his personality he tries to tamper because there's no point in not going full tilt Obsessively Weird if he has no choice anyway and it being one small way he takes back his autonomy, and that inevitably making Dick *more* into him, because he gets to see Tim finally just. let loose.

What about drawing different Greek gods and goddesses like Apollo and Venus, etc. in a split view with one side being them in their traditional environment and depiction and on the other a modern take on them like how they’d dress and look like in todays day and age. Obviously you can draw whatever or whomever but I think it would be so cool to see especially with your art style which is a 12/10!

Even though I don't like Greek Mythology that much, this intrigued me enough to wanna do it cause it's also something I wouldn't have done normally. So here it is!

They're not as detailed, but I had fun doing them, esp. whimsigoth Persephone! They always do her cottagecore or something, but are we forgetting she's half queen of Hell? I think she'd like some edge.

I also just did four Gods cause these are the ones I like the most and I genuinely already struggled through Aphrodite's drawing, so I decided not to push my luck.

Magic isn't just a candle flickering to life, or some fancy firework-like sparks. It isn't just an object moving on its own from one side of the room to the other, or a book suddenly flipping to the exact right page.

Magic is also a splitting migraine that starts at the base of the skull and then spreads like wildfire, seeping into every crevice and wrinkle of the brain. It's lethargy that deadens limbs and makes even the eyelids too heavy to lift, crushed under the weight of the world only a few hours ago.

It's hot. Literally - it burns as it travels through the veins, right down to the tips of the finger, emanating across every nerve and muscle until the entire body is consumed with the heat of something indescribable and unknowable. It's metallic, like the blood that drips down into the mouth.

But none of that is enough to stop the enchantment of something so bitter; so unpredictably and deliciously dangerous. Those drawn in by the flicker of light in the darkness accept the risk of getting lost in it, consumed momentarily by an irrepressible desire.

Bonnie knows she is on the verge of being lost as she stares back into the dark eyes peering up at her from behind her own arm, fangs lost in her soft flesh. The white-hot flames beneath her skin push and pulse until she is sure she is actually going to catch fire. Magic is oxygen, it is the thing that fills her lungs and is stolen from them almost immediately, and it is the indescribable sensation that ripples through her when Katherine's resolve breaks, becoming too lost in the moment to keep it up any longer. Her eyelids flicker and she laces their fingers together with a soft moan.

Maybe lost is what they both are. Lost to a world that lost interest in them. Maybe magic is finding each other when the world has long-since stopped looking.
