Magic isn't just a candle flickering to life, or some fancy firework-like sparks. It isn't just an object moving on its own from one side of the room to the other, or a book suddenly flipping to the exact right page.

Magic is also a splitting migraine that starts at the base of the skull and then spreads like wildfire, seeping into every crevice and wrinkle of the brain. It's lethargy that deadens limbs and makes even the eyelids too heavy to lift, crushed under the weight of the world only a few hours ago.

It's hot. Literally - it burns as it travels through the veins, right down to the tips of the finger, emanating across every nerve and muscle until the entire body is consumed with the heat of something indescribable and unknowable. It's metallic, like the blood that drips down into the mouth.

But none of that is enough to stop the enchantment of something so bitter; so unpredictably and deliciously dangerous. Those drawn in by the flicker of light in the darkness accept the risk of getting lost in it, consumed momentarily by an irrepressible desire.

Bonnie knows she is on the verge of being lost as she stares back into the dark eyes peering up at her from behind her own arm, fangs lost in her soft flesh. The white-hot flames beneath her skin push and pulse until she is sure she is actually going to catch fire. Magic is oxygen, it is the thing that fills her lungs and is stolen from them almost immediately, and it is the indescribable sensation that ripples through her when Katherine's resolve breaks, becoming too lost in the moment to keep it up any longer. Her eyelids flicker and she laces their fingers together with a soft moan.

Maybe lost is what they both are. Lost to a world that lost interest in them. Maybe magic is finding each other when the world has long-since stopped looking.

How do you think Donna coped with the breakup in the s4 premiere? Asking for a fic since in the canon ep, we only saw Eric’s pov. And you are the self proclaimed Donna defense attorney after all haha!

Ooh, this was an interesting question! Thanks for the ask.

Yes, in the beginning of S4 we see Eric dealing with the break-up. He's utterly devastated, can barely get out of bed, and is reminded of Donna everywhere he turns. This seems to last until Red forces him out of his funk, by ordering him outside to do some chores (and later, bringing him to a bar and empathizing with him).

Donna's feelings at this time, we know less about. But we do know a little.

First, she was becoming more and more upset throughout she and Eric's conversation about the promise ring, and she was clearly crying when she set down the ring and ran off. This is the first time (I think) Donna has cried on the show thus far, so it's a pretty significant indicator of how extreme her grief was in that moment.

We also know that just like Red sent Eric out to do yard chores, Bob sent Donna out to do the same at the end of S4xE2. Donna and Bob have this exchange,

Bob: Well I see sunshine outside but I don't see sunshine inside. Wanna talk about the break-up, baby? Donna: No, Dad. I don't want to talk about it. (He starts to walk away) You know, we were happy. But he had to push me. He had to define everything and get his little ring on me. And by the time it was over, we weren't even together anymore! (Angrily) I'm fine.

Donna was initially really, really sad after the break-up, but that was quickly replaced with anger/bitterness (directed at Eric, for the next several episodes at least)

Bob was worried about Donna just like Red was worried about Eric. She must've also seemed incredibly sad, perhaps was moping around the house for a few days, just like Eric was.

We also know that Jackie was there for her in solidarity/taking her side right away, so she had that support to lean on.

i hate my voice so i can't do a podcast. i do not know how to make fan videos. i can barely gif, its so complicated so i do edits/artsy and sometimes i do that. play with my strengths (lack there of) i think i have a good idea.

with boycott the caf gone basically (humourous but true insight/peek into the past), broomheads is mostly about fashion aspects (which i like!) and trends of the 2000s and the djh/high persuasion too. maybe people can suggest topics to share opinions. i gotta do something/contribute to fandom bc the show has ended and there's so much to talk about. just an idea. just wanted to see if anyone was interested or it's something i could pursue.

i do make art, write stories. when i feel like it i do post a lot off opinion pieces, prose, the occasional lovefest but i can have neutral viewpoints, universal comparing contrasting, breaking down things, etc. but i never did like the whole review thing, combined with all this. i think it'd be cool. I'll tag people who are frequently in the degrassi tag in the tags or people who post a lot of degrassi even if we all don't have the same opinions, i think we can all have a bit of fun in our investment the franchise that arguably brought a lot of people together. having different opinions open up debates and such, or looking at things from different povs and perspectives. it could be a good thing with connections to be made. who knows? who is interested? if it flops this is dead. i don't want it to be but oh well.

Hey! What would the Mikaelsons think of Klonnie as a couple?

Hi! So, I answered this question here but no one asked about Marcel or Hayley. I'll discuss them here.

Marcel: I think he'd find Klonnie interesting with the knowledge that Bonnie has bravery fought the Mikaelsons countless times. That she doesn't view them as victims, she calls it out. Marcel would find the irony in Klaus losing to a young witch. They'd have problems with each other over how Marcel treated witches at first. Bonnie would both Marcel/Klaus to work on their relationship other than that they'd be cool. Bonnie would have to lower that arrogance once with a good fight.

Hayley: She wouldn't like them initially; she'd think Bonnie was a threat to Hope or their family the same way Freya/Elijah would. Hayley would be very guarded and loud about not wanting Bonnie around the family and certainly not Hope. Bonnie wouldn't just accept Hayley treating her any kind of way, neither is Bonnie a liability to the family. Bonnie would remind Hayley of what she's done in the past too. Hayley would use Bonnie to protect Hope though as she saw fit. They'd still take a while to warm up to each other. It can be done.

If everyone can accept Cami, idk what would make Bonnie so vastly different here tbh.

Just curious, but in the wiki it says that Joanne broke up with Bob for an unknown reason. Do you have any theories?

Short answer: bad, lazy writing is the reason Joanne broke up with Bob. 🙃

Real-world reason: dhe broke up with him for the stunt casting of Brooke Shields as Jackie's mom and to give her a storyline with Bob (Brooke was great in the role, though. Just sucks what the writers had her do with it).

In-universe, no explanation is given. The T7S writers did what they often did when they wanted the plot to move from one place to another quickly: give either no grounding in characterization for the change or force a character to act totally OOC to serve the plot.

This may sound like a weird ask, so feel free to ignore. But what do you think Bonnie’s love language is?

this is fun! I think she has 3 major ones. The third is debatable though. Of course, all of the love languages are important!

alright so boom:

Acts of service: Bonnie is usually doing the heavy lifting in her friend group. You can say pretty words about wanting to help her but I think it would be equally important to her if someone showed her they can carry the weight too. She’s independent, but someone being there with her does lessen the load on things. It’ll shock her receiving help but she’d appreciate it. It shows someone actually heard and saw her.

Quality Time: Remembering Bonnie’s abandonment issues and creating depth for that. Neither parent took time to spend with her…We don’t see that if it’s “implied…” anyways. Bonnie would want to learn someone, what they like/dislike and as much as they learned her. If they’re going to be around longterm it’s best to understand that. She’d want to believe that it isn’t just the magic of being in confined areas is why someone liked her. As much as I do like Stefonnie, I think of that s4 scene where Stefan asked to be let in, hugged Bonnie as she cried but after that she asked did he come over because he needed a spell…which is why he was there in the first place. Hugging her first just kinda happened. What else backs my thoughts up here is the constant “you’re not used to someone….” comments that were usually from Damon/Enzo in the final seasons. Granted those were writing shots at Bonnie but point remains

Physical touch & Words of affirmation: Bonnie seems into touching her partner a lot. That’s what we see through Jeremy/Enzo. Bonnie looks more into them than they are with her but she does seem to heavily enjoy kissing and having that extra touch. Bonnie’s lack thereof with her sexuality compared to the other girls is for the obvious reason. Lastly, I do think she’d enjoy those positive remarks at her. It shows someone noticed the work she put in or just thought nicely about her period! She wants to be valued. Bonnie wouldn’t mind saying great things about another person too especially if they're appreciating her.

Curious but what are your thoughts on Eric/Jackie as a ship?

I guess I'm neutral on it? I think they'd look good together and enjoyed the friendship moments they'd have from time to time, but mostly I've never thought much about the possibility. I'm too big of a fan of Jackie's relationship with Hyde and think Eric works best with Donna. I do think he would have been a better boyfriend for her than Kelso or Fez, though.

Just curious but what are your feelings on Zaya as a ship?

I love them! I think they’re super cute and compelling lol. When I watched it the first time around I didn’t really care but on my first rewatch when it got to their first encounter I was already crying. I just love them both and especially Maya and if she’s happy then I’m happy ♥️♥️♥️
