Hey! I wanna talk for a sec about the Live Music Archive. If you're a tMG fan who's on here you probably already at least know about it, but for anyone unfamiliar I want to do a quick post talking about what it is and how you can listen!

The Live Music Archive is a collection hosted by the Internet Archive for audio recordings of concerts. Specifically, the LMA hosts, with permission from the band, user-contributed recordings of concerts. Some fans will go to concerts with recording gear to take a full audio recording of the show and then upload it to the archive under the band's collection. As of writing this post there are almost 450 live tapes uploaded to the tMG LMA collection!

There's a few ways that you can listen to recordings on the Live Music Archive. The webpage works pretty well both on desktop and mobile browsers, and that's what I typically use. You can also listen on web without having to make an account on the Internet Archive, which is convenient for browsing. I also use the webpage to download mp3s of favorite tapes to my phone, so that I can listen to them in my local music player.

However, if you don't mind making a free account and prefer the convenience of something more like Spotify, you can also listen to anything on the LMA via the Taper's Section app for Android or the Live Music Archive app for iOS! (Obligatory disclaimer that I use an Android and can't personally vouch for the iOS app, but afaik they have similar features.) The apps have the same functionality as the webpage in a more streamlined mobile-friendly interface, plus things like notifications when there's a new tape added to a collection you follow and downloading in-app for offline listening. The Android app also has a tab for tapes from today's date, there's often at least one (there are FOUR for today!) and that's a really fun way to find tapes to listen to.

If you're looking at this going, wow, that sounds really cool but there's so many tapes that it's a little overwhelming to get into this, don't worry! I'll leave you with a couple recommendations. As mentioned above, I like to listen to shows from the current date. Another fun way to find shows is looking for a specific song - you can go on the wiki and it'll list every show at which the song has been played live, and then just search until you find one of them that has a tape on the archive. Lastly, a few specific favorite tapes of mine:

- 2014-06-15 has the entirety of Taboo VI: The Homecoming played live + one of my absolute favorite performances of both Woke Up New and The Best Ever Death Metal Band In Denton.

- 2015-06-01 is the only time Straight Six has ever been played live and it's interestingly pretty different from the EP version, plus a phenomenal back to back Spent Gladiator 1 & 2.

- 2021-08-06 was the first show after the band started playing concerts again post 2020, and it has a really incredible energy and a phenomenal setlist.

- 2024-03-01 is from the recent run of solo shows, this one was at Grace Cathedral and the ambience is truly truly incredible, it feels so ethereal.

Wow, that was fast! You had entered an online competition to become one of the beta-testers for the first model of their Home-Android line, and luck must have been on your side, because you actually won!

Putting your phone down, you scrambled through your room, hurriedly pulling on something more presentable than pajamas and hastily combing your hair into place.

Frantically running through your apartment, you tried to clear away stray clothes and dishes. You were so caught up in tidying that you almost tripped as the doorbell rang.

Sure, the Android was technically designed to help with housekeeping, but the delivery person didn’t need to know just how much you actually needed it.

Opening the door, you were greeted by a large cardboard box perched on a trolley, nearly obscuring the man in a green Weyland uniform and matching cap as he peeked out from behind it, checking his clipboard.

"Y/N L/N. Is that correct?"

You nodded, stepping aside to let him wheel the massive package into your living room. Once it was set down, he handed you an impressively thick manual and tapped on its cover.

"Here’s the QR code for the app. Please use it to send feedback or report any issues you encounter."

With a grunt of effort, he hefted the package off the trolley, left it in the middle of your living room, and exited your apartment without another word.

What.

Blinking, you stood frozen for a moment before heading to the kitchen to grab a pair of scissors. With a decisive stab into the parcel tape, you sliced through the middle of the box.

Inside was a beautiful man- wait, no. Android. Oh. A very beautiful Android.

You flicked through the manual, scanning for activation instructions. Ah, here it was. To activate, press a small sensor located behind his right ear for five seconds.

Taking a breath, you reached out and pressed the spot. Moments later, his eyes opened, and after a brief pause, his gaze locked onto yours.

Now he was the one blinking, his brows furrowing slightly as he began testing his limbs. With deliberate movements, he stepped out of the box.

“Good day, Ma’am,” he said in a voice that was smooth, polite, and just a touch mechanical. “My name is David 1. I will serve as your assistant and companion, ready to assist you with whatever you may require.”

He extended a hand, stiff but purposeful. “May I ask what I should call you?”

And that's how daily life with David began.

It was really weird to configure your timezone for something that looked so human, and to enter a PIN code for him via an app??

And the ads. You weren’t safe from ads, either. Sometimes, when he didn’t have anything to do, he would just stand around or sit on the couch and start citing commercials.

The first time it happened, you almost spat out the tea he had made for you beforehand.

“Would you like to renew your Audible subscription? The first three months are only $0.99.”

As you choked on your beverage, David stared at you apologetically before quickly getting up and patting your back to help.

“Sorry, (Y/N), I didn’t mean to surprise you. You can turn it off with the Premium Subscription for $19.99 per month.”

Putting your cup down, still coughing, you turned to him.

“I have to pay for that? Seriously?”

He just shrugged, his face imitating an :I emoji.

After a while, you noticed that even David got annoyed by the interruptions, disliking how your conversations were suddenly stopped by yet another commercial for shaving cream.

The two of you made it your mission to bypass ads with free trials he found online. He even read your books to you instead of you paying for another damn subscription.

HelloFresh? He grew vegetables on your windowsill. Man, he was amazing at making fresh pasta.

“FOR FUCK'S SAKE, I DON’T WANT YOUTUBE PREMIUM! THIS APP SHOULD BE ABLE TO PLAY VIDEOS IN THE BACKGROUND WITHOUT ME PAYING FOR IT!”

You shouted in frustration. The ads were SO annoying, and you couldn’t turn them off!

David blinked, and for a moment you thought he had lagged as he processed your words. Then he answered.

“If you give me permission via verbal verification, I could enter the darknet and download an adblock mod. It’s a bit risky, but my firewall should be sufficient to withstand any viruses.”

You hesitated, not wanting to risk his functionality. But when he one day started quoting a Viagra advertisement like those on Tumblr, you caved.

“Please enter the darknet and find that mod. I can’t take this anymore.”

So he did. And you got really fucking scared for a moment, because one of his eyes twitched and stayed half-open, like your old dolls when you tilted them sideways. Oh shit, did you break him? Please, please, please no- oh. Oh God.

He needed a second to install and initialize. His expression reminded you of your Furby with dying batteries that suddenly came to life in the middle of the night, croaking its last words. But after another minute, he was fine.

This action had some side effects, though.

He still worked perfectly - cleaning the dishes, doing the laundry, watering the plants, until he suddenly called you a donkey while you were cooking. With an awfully familiar voice.

You stared at him. “Excuse me?”

“That wasn’t me,” he replied in his normal voice, furrowing his brows.

Nodding slowly, you turned back to add meat to your sauce, only to be interrupted by:

“Why did the chicken cross the road? Because you didn’t fucking cook it!”

Instead of getting annoyed, you broke down laughing, and even David couldn’t hide a grin as he watched you sink to the kitchen floor.

“I seem to have caught a serious case of Gordon Ramsay.”

That was it. you were officially cackling like a hen. On the ground. Crying.

It wasn’t so bad, really. He functioned just fine, even though he occasionally squawked like a bird at random. But you just squawked right back. Just normal ADHD things, to be honest.

At the end of the day, he became your illegally modded roommate, sitting with you on the couch, your legs sprawled over his lap as you both munched on popcorn.

You still weren’t entirely sure where the food he sometimes ate with you went, but you decided not to question it.

Weyland never got their Android back, you hid him in your closet that one time they tried to collect him after the testing period was over.

“I have the power of God and anime on my side,” your favorite person declared.

“Yes, David, you do,” you replied with a smile.

What In “Hell” Is Bad - Limited L-Grade Banner “Guide”

Okay… not sure where to start with this one other than it’ll be nice and short. However, this is the first guide I’ve made that I hope I get to change quickly.

To start though; new L-Grade Devils to pull, and pretty, blood-covered versions of Leviathan and Beelzebub. I currently do not have them, however, so I will be unable to show their skill/ultimates at all. I’m not willing to pay for it, though, despite that I do spend money on this game… but yeah.

What’s this all about?

PrettyBusy has given us a brand new temporary banner to showcase their new devils and artifacts, basically. (With some added drama, but we’ll get to that.)

Get Leviathan (Bloodshed) or Beelzebub (Bloodshed) guaranteed within 220 pulls.

What? What’s Solomon’s Seal?

This is the unfortunate part— and it wasn’t properly communicated from PrettyBusy. We knew the new currency was coming, but not the means to get it.

This is only purchasable with real money.

There is four purchasing options, and none of them seem overly well priced? Let’s go over that though. We get 50 Seals for the update (1 Pull).

Just looking at them, it’s like… okay? But thinking about the pity, and the 0.63% chance to draw an L-Grade from the temporary banner, it’s not great.

Assuming you don’t get lucky, and you go all the way to 220?

You would need to buy the $99.90 package around 5 times. Which is ~$500. Being real, you’ll usually get them before pity, but there’s four things to get through this banner if you want everything. That’s a lot of chance.

Why is this not good, though?

Because there is no free-to-play alternative.

These seals are only obtainable in the shop, as I said before. It’s not the first game to do this, and won’t be the last. It’s not the end of the world, either. But it’s not great or motivating to the ftp players or community. I’m not going to keep ragging on this, though.

Summary: (Up to end of movie)

Hope didn't have the best childhood growing up. She ended up running away from home because of it, joining the Foot after finding a (badly drawn) recruitment poster. She didn't like the girl who had also been recently recruited, Cassandra Jones, at first, but the fact that they matched each other's energy helped in becoming best friends. Despite being recruited at a younger age then most, Hope rose to a Captain role quickly. At thirteen, she, the Foot Brute, and Foot Lieutenant go in search of paper for more soldiers. There they meet the turtles, and, after having used her ninpo and lost the paper to them, goes home at the cost of Leo telling Splinter about her, therefore Leo learned about all the Hamato stuff early. Hope declined every time Leo pursued her to ask her to join her true family's side. Eventually though, she couldn't deny how she felt and started doing insider work. After the Shredder is beaten the first time and Big Mama sends him back into his dimension, Leo and Hope confess how they feel about the other and start dating. All of this leads to a heated confrontation in the Always Be Brownies episode. Then after the Shredder is defeated the second time for real, Hope moves into Draxum's apartment with bribery and begging. About four months after the end of the show and the start of the movie, Hope gets kidnapped by Big Mama, mutated into a cat, and forced to fight under the name 'Death Blow'. Five months after she gets rescued from that, she is ambushed by a group of four men that ended with a mutilation, necessary amputation of her left leg, and a Genius Built™ prosthetic. Three months after THAT, Hope and Leo take a camping trip that totally wasn't interrupted by Mikey. There, her prosthetic malfunctions, causing her to fall from a (low-ish) tree branch, which is how she met Inari for the first time. Three months after that (gosh so many months lol), she gets unhappily reunited with Dove and their ma. Five months after that (listen a lot can happen in 23 months and 4 weeks alright?), Hope and Leo drag Donnie into a new restaurant in the Hidden City where the softshell meets and soon enough starts a relationship with the only son of the owners, Ace Yarrow. During the movie, Hope remains with April and Splinter the majority of the time before needing to check on how her ma is doing. But also because seeing a future version of yourself is way too weird, man.

Good Future Summary:

Hope avoided Leo during his entire recovery as well to punish him for doing what he did and also because she didn't want to know how badly the Krang had beaten him. She eventually visited him after convincing from Sterling, but it took a while for her to get over what he had done (Good thing she had Ace as a friend to help). A year passes as NYC repairs itself. Draxum (kindly) tells her to leave his apartment and get her own when she turns nineteen. She ends up moving back into the lair in the spare room they have now while landing two part-time jobs as a sub at the high school where Draxum works and as a server in Ace's restaurant he had paid for a year earlier to pay for her own house (after about two years she's able to afford a mortgage). Leo asks her a year later if she would marry him (dated for about six years at this point; everyone couldn't be more proud of them, Sterling, Splinter, and Draxum especially). While they agreed to disagree on not having kids, they considered Inari their kid in a way. The day Splinter passed was hard on the whole family, some more than others. They all took three days off work if they had one to mourn. Couple weeks later, Inari disappears and returns with four kits, evenly split between girls and boys. Hope names the girls Finch and Flicker while Leo named the boys Falcon and Flint. It wasn't easy raising those four, but they managed.

Bad Future Summary:

While Hope was devastated at the destruction the Krang caused, she pushed through and fought with all she had. When Casey came into the family about five years into the apocalypse after his dad died, she couldn't have been happier. Especially when Cass adopted him. A year later Raph died and Hope put in upon herself to pick up the slack in leadership while Leo mourned through mourning too. It was worse when Donnie died eleven years after that, but Hope was nothing if not good at keeping her emotions in check in tough situations (she only broke down when no one else was watching). She took over caring for Casey with Leo when Cass died a year after Raph did. During the few years nearing year eighteen of the apocalypse, she and Leo came up with the plan to send Casey into the past to prevent everything that happened in their timeline, also deciding he couldn't go back alone and that Hope would go back as well to which she agreed. Leaving everyone behind wasn't going to be easy, she knew, but it would all be worth it in the end.

he can't use his bionics at full power anymore without draining/overloading his battery and "passing out", since his new charging station isn't as powerful, so he almost has to decide between functioning normally or using his bionics at full power (he can still use them, but, for example, speed, he can run faster than an average human, but still at about half his old top speed. the only one that's unaffected is his "intelligence", since it takes less power for an android to access the internet than to use superspeed or superstrength)

marcus will now live way longer than he was supposed to before, since sigourney fixed the issues that would make him burn out too quickly

he's the same height and size, with all his old memories, and appearance (from seasons 1-2), and sigourney has enough of his old infrastructure and point of reference with frankie to give him a "stomach" like he had before. he's even waterproof again, but that's due to the material of his synthetic skin, which sigourney analyzed and made more of (she had enough to replicate his old appearance, but he has new skin bc most of the old skin was torn to pieces when the old lair collapsed). frankie doesn't get that upgrade, since she already has her own synthetic skin which has been working well enough (one of those "well what you have now works just fine", like when some people want a new phone when their old one is fully functional)

marcus is a little shorter than frankie (he's not that short, she's just tall) and he's technically older than frankie, but he was built to look 15, and frankie is technically younger, but she was built to look about 16. jenny is technically older than both of them combined, but she's 10 and looks the part

I just..."came back wrong" but not really? came back improved? altered? changed? he comes back changed physically, and through having a "normal" family and home and opportunity to be "normal" without following any orders or programmed to do anything, he changes on the inside as well

Korean audiences are very warm. Surprised many people use Android phones and have cameras ready.

Favorite scene: the bus-stop-to-wedding scene—though he said such behavior isn't acceptable in real life 😂

For the headphone-tapping scene, it was supposed to be spoken, but because of the distance, Akaso suggested acting it out instead.

Fans asked for a "Brad Pitt pose"—he joked in Korean “That’s a lie!” 😂

WHAT IS CHATPLOTS?

chatplots is a simulation game where you can enter into various situations with specific characters and 'message' them. each chat has multiple choices for the player to choose and at least two endings. your choices and behaviour throughout the chat will influence how the character reacts and responds to you, and will ultimately determine which ending you get! it is essentially like a playable oneshot! chatplots IS NOT AI. it is a game that was written by me and developed by my boyfriend. each conversation was painstakingly crafted by me; it is all my writing, and it will always be completely and entirely written by me.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

chatplots can be downloaded as a web app on your home screen if you'd prefer to have it on your phone! (this is the option i personally recommend hehe) but chatplots can also be played on any device in any mobile or desktop browser, accessible through this link: https://chatplots.inkyclari.com.

how to download it on ios:

here's how it'll all go down once the chat is open:

touya-nii will send a message (or several messages)

the response button (the button with the little paper airplane) will begin pulsing when you can respond back to him

pressing the button will open up all of your available response options. you can then choose which one to send back to him.

this will continue until you reach the end of the game. the response button will begin pulsing with your ending, which is a piece of prose 700-900 words long. the chat takes about 10-15 minutes to play though once.

notes:

touya-nii will refer to you by name. the name you input at the start of the game will be the name he uses, though this name can be changed at any time in the settings (the little gear in the bottom left corner!). also! check out the settings while he's still typing for a cute lil surprise ehehe c:

touya-nii will behave like a real human throughout the duration of the chat. he takes a moment to read your message before he responds, and the time it takes him to type out a response is akin to that of a real person—meaning if his response is longer, he will take longer to type it than a response that is only a word or two.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:

this is a beta, which means it is not the finished product.

the chat you are playing is technically only half of what the full chat would be; you are only playing one route with a few different branches and two variations of the same single ending. (in other words, there are several different ways to reach the same ending, and each branch has slight variations).

a full chat would have at least two separate routes within the same scenario/setting, and at least two different endings.

we encourage you to play through the chat several times to discover which choices yield which results, and to explore all touya-nii has to say!

WHAT IS THIS SHORT KEIGO CHAT?

the short keigo chat is a sfw test chat i made specifically for my best friend. it only takes 1-3 minutes to play through and has options that are specifically tailored to my best friend's personality and tastes. you are welcome to play through it as well if you'd like! just bear these things in mind hehe

WILL OTHER CHARACTERS BE ADDED IN THE FUTURE?

yes, of course! any of my iterations of ANY character has the potential to be added to the game in the future. i am also open to taking suggests and prompts from you all for future chat scenarios!

chats would either be sold on an individual basis, where you can buy each chat separately for $4-$6 USD depending on the length, complexity, number of endings, etc OR through a monthly subscription of $7 USD, enabling you to have continual access to the entire catalogue of chats as it grows, with the minimum number chats being released at least two per month. please let us know which option appeals to you more right here! <3
