If you're a pilot and you want to show your kids around the cockpit why the fuck would you do so when you are 10,000+ FEET IN THE AIR??? Take them to a flight training simulator or something, don't take them on a flight with OVER SEVENTY PEOPLE ON THE FUCKING PLANE???

What the actual fuck is going on??? Last year in America, there we 30 aircraft crashes reported and it was referred as the deadliest year for air travel with over 400 fatalities. LAST MONTH there were 15 ALREADY. I haven't counted beyond the 70 I know of in terms of fatalities, but what the actual fuck is happening in America???

President Donald Trump held a press conference on Thursday to address the late-night crash between a commercial airplane and an Army Black Hawk helicopter.  Unsurprisingly, Trump used the tragedy to play a blame game that included everything from President Barack Obama and Pete Buttigieg, to the helicopter pilot and “dwarfism.”  After telling reporters that there will be an investigation, Trump launched into a—frequently contradictory—litany of reasons that he and his new, unqualified Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy would not take any responsibility.   “The FAA is actively recruiting workers who suffer severe intellectual disabilities, psychiatric problems,” Trump claimed, before generating an incorrect retelling of the Federal Aviation Administration’s hiring policies.

“Obama-Biden and the Democrats put policy first, and they put politics at a level that nobody's ever seen because this was the lowest level,” he blathered.  Trump also mentioned a mythical “Obama policy” that he claims to have changed at least four times.  “Biden came in, and he changed it,” Trump added as a reason why the FAA is no longer up to his standards.  Trump went on to blame the crash on the 2020 election results, which he refuses to accept to this day. [...] “The FAA's website states they include hearing vision, missing extremities, partial paralysis, complete paralysis, epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability, and dwarfism,” he said. But the FAA's inclusion of disabled people has actually been an active policy since 2013. Trump didn’t just work under that policy during his first term, but he even launched his own FAA disability outreach initiative in 2019.

So another fucking plane crashed. No one died, plenty of folks injured. Came in for landing, touched the ground, and an entire wing just fully snapped off. Whole plane rolled over. Lucky as hell no one died.

And I know all my blue collar mutuals know this shit. But I need to tell those of you who don't work in the trades, we know what this shit is. We know why it's happening. I've been calling it "Maintenance Debt".

Every single technological advancement of the last half century has made some amount of it's money by drastically underestimating it's maintenance costs. Every single buisness has spend the last half century slashing maintenance budgets, refusing to train new folks, refusing to even hire people in at market rate. Crews are small and in a lot of places you either get the work done or you loose your job. A lot of people take their time and do it right and work overtime and crush themselves to do it. A lot of guys go out and just do the bare minimum, knowing that the thing will keep running for another 10-15 years till the problems pile up.

And that money that companies and corporations and oligarchs are making off cutting these costs is a loan. It's a debt against the maintenance that needs done to keep these things running. And all of these plane crashes are that debt coming due.

You are gonna see more of them, and the planes are just the biggest and loudest version of this. Maintenance Debt is an issue across every industry. Planes, road infrastructure, power generation, power and water systems, sewage systems, internet lines and cell towers, hell even just maintenance on things like buildings and facilities.

Expect this to keep getting worse. They won't suddenly start investing in maintenance. And even if they did it would take years to train people and years more to get everything back to working order.

Then the IOF late last week stormed Kamal Adwan hospital, forced all the patients even the critically ill & injured & ones on life support to vacate the hospital & they were advised they would be forcibly transported by ambulance to another hospital — without oxygen masks, nebulizers, ventilators etc. which patients were not allowed to bring with them so many of the critically ill patients forced to evacuate Kamal Adwan hospital will not survive the trip to the next hospital.

Just like Al Shifa hospital a few months ago, the doctors at Kamal Adwan were then rounded up & forced to march out of the hospital with their hands in the air. 

There is no confirmation yet on their fate however with Al Shifa hospital, the doctors were detained, arrested, beaten, abused, tortured then some were killed & the rest were released. 

A similar fate tragically & terrifyingly awaits the brave & courageous Kamal Adwan doctors who refused to abandon their patients.

The director of Kamal Adwan hospital, Dr. Safieh, was arrested by the IOF. Very recently, when Dr. Safieh refused to leave the hospital & abandon his patients, the IOF murdered his son — also a doctor — in front of Dr. Safieh at the entrance of the hospital. Dr. Safieh was brought to Sde Teiman detention center which is an infamous hellhole known for literally raping Palestinian civilians to death, brutally torturing them, beating them & humiliating them. Reports from inside the prison confirm that Dr. Safieh has already been stripped naked, humiliated & brutally whipped.

A collision on Wednesday between an American Airlines jet and a US military helicopter near Washington DC has killed all 67 people onboard both aircraft, in the United States’ worst aviation disaster in years. The incident occurred at about 9pm as the passenger plane was on approach to land at Reagan National airport from Wichita, Kansas. Operated by the regional carrier PSA Airlines as American Eagle flight 5342, the jet was carrying 60 passengers and four crew members, and collided with a US army helicopter with three soldiers onboard, sending both into the Potomac River. “This was a dark and excruciating night in our nation’s capital and in our nation’s history, and a tragedy of terrible proportions,” Donald Trump told reporters at the White House on Thursday. “As one nation, we grieve for every precious soul that has been taken from us so suddenly.” It was the first fatal commercial airline crash in the US since 2009, according to Sean Duffy, the newly confirmed transportation secretary who was sworn into office the day before the crash. He added that he believed the incident was “preventable”. The defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, said the helicopter involved carried “a fairly experienced crew” based at Fort Belvoir in Virginia that was conducting a “required annual night evaluation”. “They did have night vision goggles,” Hegseth said, adding that an investigative team had already been deployed to the crash site and that it would determine whether the aircraft was in the corridor and at the right altitude at the time of the incident. “It’s a tragedy, a horrible loss of life,” he said. Trump, who was sworn into the presidency last week, alternated between consoling the nation and seeking to use the crash for political gain. Sad sight all around, as no survivors are expected in Wednesday night’s mid-air collision in the Potomac River in DC.
