the reveal that Vanessa actually asked Pointdexter to kill Foggy, but also that she did it while he was drugged up, promising him a way out and masking empathy when she was just using him. Every time Dex is clearly at one of the lowest points of his life, a Fisk comes in, manipulates him into doing a hit for them, and tosses him aside. Plz just get my man some mental health services and some friends who actually gaf about him

After episode 1 of ddba, I did NOT have Dex becoming a hyper fixation blorbo of mine, but damn if these last two episodes didn't catapult me into that mindset.

I enjoyed his story in s3, but now, idk, there's just something so profoundly sad and broken about this man the Fisks will not allow to live his own life, a monster of their creation.

I hope s2 can really pick apart the 'born that way' theme that daredevil and Fisk seem to be falling into. People aren't born evil, nor is it always a clear and conscious choice. You ARE affected by everything around you and depending, you might have way more or way less agency in your choices (like with Leroy).

It's not that Fisk 'can't help' but be the kingpin. Echo gave him the choice, the ability to change, but he didn't take it. Dex TRIED to take the opportunity to heal and change (let's also talk about our shit health system and how he was clearly just being over medicated to keep him submissive rather than having a doctor really work with him so he could truly get a handle on his mental issues) but with how shit the system had treated Dex, it was so easy for Vanessa to come in and manipulate the decisions she wanted right out of him.

Give us more nuanced Dex and a real critique of the systems - not just a 'fundamental good against fundamental evil' and call it a day

Just wondering but why does Don Oriolo want to still own the rights to Pointdexter even tho he gave the rest of Felix The Cat Characters to Dreamworks? Who and what else does he still own?
