Good Morning CD anon! I LOVE YURI RANCHERS. They make me feel so many things and all of them are good. I feel like ranchers angst hits better when its yuri, I cannot tell you why.

TANGO'S PHONE? Girl (gender nuetral)--Let me put my author hat on cause there have been Tango phone head cannons since MOE started.

Tango Tek used a flip phone until 2 years ago.

The only reason he doesn't have flip phone anymore is because someone (Etho) accidentally left (deliberately put) it under a metal press.

He now uses a second hand, old as fuck android phone because he just calls people, he doesn't text.

this quickly changes because Bdubs doesn't call people. he's a texter and it annoyed him to no end how long it took tango to reply to texts on his silly flip phone.

All of ties took a collective sigh when Tango was like "I got a new phone that can take pictures!"

He proceeds to take pictures of weird things like vin numbers on parts, Etho's ugly couch naps, a receipt from a waffle house? (the closest one is a ten hour drive???) it's giving dad who has never used a camera in his life.

His case is a simple red leather fold over with a horse shoe on it. it was a gift from Impulse for chrismas because he didn't have a case on it before hand (he didnt know it was required. again, so stupid for a genious) There is a card holder thingy in the front of the flap, but he dislikes it. He says its "chunky" and prefers to carry around a oldest wallet known to man. (it was a gift from his dad and he's a softy.)

When he suddenly starts texting a bunch, Skizz is the first to notice. Hes all "hey Top, whacha doing there?" "Texting Jimmy." "oh! What...what about?" "wouldn't you like to know, printer boy."

"since when do you text?" Etho asks, placing a finger on the edge of Tango's phone and tipping the screen so he can see it. Tango snatches it away, pressing it to his chest, "It's just a group porject for class." "you always email for those..." "That makes me sound so old." Tango frowns, "because you are?" "I'm younger than you!"

Even still, the new phone is TINY and Tango has big thumbs... "What the hell does this mean?" Jimmy turns his phone towards Gem. She squints at it, "tango typo. you'll get used to them." "a...what?" "his thumbs are too big for his phone. just use context clues."

Jimmy does get used to it, eventually. Where he, the english major, will always proof read his texts before he sends them. Tango, a ball of concentrated caffine, just clicks buttons and hits send before he forgets what he was trying to say.

Tango's camera roll slowly fills with selfies from Jimmy, on days they can't meet in person.

sometimes he scrolls through them all and smiles like a massive goof, late at night when he can't sleep.

okay well the pjsk au (Project Sekai Alternate Universe) is based off the mobile rhythm game Colorful Stage (Project Sekai)!! I'll try to simplify the game lore/whatever u call it..

this is gonna be abit long im sorry

PJSK CONTEXT:

Hastune Miku and the other original vocaloids (MEIKO, KAITO, Megurine Luka, Kagamine Len & Rin) are all established vocaloids in the real world, where the 20 in game 'ocs' are established.

There is this concept of Sekais; i describe it as a pocket dimension based on everyone's individual's soul/feelings. Pretty sure everyone has one of their own where it conceptualises a character's.. character.

But that isnt the main focus! The main focus of the game is the collective Sekais made by a group of characters! For example, Mafuyu, has created an 'empty sekai'; a pocket dimension -accessible through technology (mainly phones)- that is an empty ground sprinkled with a few boring abstract structures, etc. It is a sekai created by her strong feelings of emptiness specifically, but moreso that fits with the rest of the group she is in. The sekai can change some aspects during Mafuyu's self discovery with the help of her friends :3

Every group in the game consists of 4 members, all connected through music. Groups are: Leo/Need (School Sekai), More More Jump! (Stage Sekai), WonderlandsxShowtime (Wonderland Sekai), Vivid BAD Squad (Street Sekai) and Nightcord at 25:00 (Empty Sekai)

Anyway, every conjoined?? group sekai is greeted by a MIKUUU we love miku ily miku- Every Miku is different!! In the Empty Sekai, we see a very mellow, confused, empty Miku with a design that fits within the theme. This is also brought upon the other vocaloids! They all have different designs and personalities that are definitely supposed to mirror a different character in the group, however they may enter the sekai when events are made for a certain vocaloid to come and help a character/s :)

I guess you could say that each virtual singer has a main focus on a specific sekai? Luka is with Leo/Need, Rin is with MMJ, Len and MEIKO with VBSquad (fuck them for giving two vs and none to N25 grrrrrrrrrr) and yeah you could say Miku leads empty sekai but she kinda does the same with the other sekais

Street Sekai (ninjago ver) is where Lloyd, Brad, Kai and Nya are grouped together as a team of vocals/dancers! in porject sekai, there are two pairs of characters that join up as one to beat an old street group as their main motivation. Lloyd and Brad, Kai and Nya are the pairs that join up as the current group ^w^

As for the virtual singers residing in the sekais, im thinking of just making some subcharacters in ninjago the vocaloids! Skylor is the placeholder for MEIKO :) i think they fit perfectly.. MEIKO in the street sekai has a coffee shop and Skylor would have a ramen shop... like cmon.. GRRR scrunches them all up..

as for the other groups.. idk but i def wanna make sally either an idol or in a school band.. but ugh.. darkleys school band.. but i want lloyd and brad to be in a street group.. the agony..

um.. i think.. thats alll................. sweats

A Nameless Ghoul Special!! 

Did you ever hear how the way to a ghoul’s heart is through his stomach? Well, your cookies were famous among the siblings in the clergy and they attracted a certain elusive ghoul! Special, whether it’s well known or not, has an infamous sweet tooth. When he sampled some of your baking and saw what a sweet and shy person you were, he fell head over heels for you!! Special has a soft spot for gentle and kind people, to him they are precious- you being the most precious gem of all. Special always admires how genuine and sweet you are to everyone around you. 

One of his favorite aspects about you is that while you are very soft you have no problem putting your foot down. Special is the type to stand behind you and nod encouragingly while you tear into someone who is harassing or bullying your friends. It makes him feel good that even if you are sweet you still have no problems defending yourself or others. But, should you ever be overwhelmed and ask for help, Special will be happy to step in and absolutely destroy anyone who tries to hurt your or your shared love ones. 

Special adores anyone creative- it’s why he was put in charge of helping the Ghost porject after all! One of his favorite things is to just sit and listen to you play your guitar for him. Special is an odd one, so don’t be surprised if he wants to bond over more music! He has a whole Abba collection and he knew you were the one when you offered to play some on your guitar! Special is also the one that LOVES to take you out to do couples art classes (he has that privilege to go outside, after all!) His favorite was when you both got to do side by side painting and then hung up your work in your bed room! Special loves getting to be himself around you!

My year of freelancing and being self supportive (A summary)

I haven’t really deadicated a full blog post to my life as a freelancer and being self supportive, so that’s is exactly what this post is going to do!

Freelancing has been one of the hardest, but most rewarding things I’ve done during university. Although before this placement year, I had done the odd few jobs on a freelance basis, I never really considered trying to make a career out of it, but I’ve so glad that I’ve challenged myself to do it this year. 

The first thing I had to do before even starting my freelance venture was to create a business plan and time schedule. Now, this sounds simple, but let me tell you, IT. WAS. NOT. I tried to be as realistic as possible when it came to how much time I would spend freelancing, I planned on attaining at least one freelance job a week (4 a month) but due to the unpredictable nature of being self employed, this didn’t happen. Some months I would only have 1 freelance job, other occasions I’ve had 3 jobs in a week - this meant I needed to work out my cashflow - to try and ensure I had enough money to tie me over each week. Whilst I’m (VERY) far into my overdraft, I think that I’ve been lucky enough to do my freelance year whilst I still have the comfort blanket of my student loan and university, I would have been royally screwed if I SFE didn’t give me a bit of money each term (even if it is only about a third of what I would usually get whilst studying). This has made me more careful with my money and time, ensuring I have a good work/life balance. 

The one downfall about being a freelance photographer, is that people will often want to pay you in exposure, compared to actual money. Whilst it’s good to build on your experience and develop your portfolio, you can’t buy food or pay rent through exposure. This meant I’ve had to learn to keep a good ratio of paid and unpaid work, even if the paid work is just working part time at a cinema (which is what I’ve had to do). Being in a position so that I can actually accept the unpaid work within the boundaries of university has allowed me to significantly develop my portfolio and CV without having to worry too much about going into my overdraft.

 you also do have a LOT of freetime - which can lead to getting bored, and sometimes alone. I’ve had to deal with a lot of issues of isolation and not being motivated to do anything, something that I’ve detailed in a previous blog post. That being said, one advantage is that I’ve got ownership to decide where, when and who I work with, I’ve been lucky enough to work with some truly amazing people and organisations through my year. As well as this, due to having a fair amount of freetime, so I’ve been lucky to have visited a couple of different countries around Europe, visiting friends who are currently studying abroad and exploring the different cities and cultures.

I’ve worked with a huge number or people since starting my freelance year. In my first ‘term’ of freelancing I worked with companies like Beat, RISING Global Peace Forum and Kenilworth Arts Festival. I’ve always be interested in music photography, so this year also allowed me to pursue my passion of combining Indie music and photography by working with Indie Midlands, Future Sounds Porject and Native Magazines which led me to work and collab with a number of bands and musicians from around the globe. One highlight that’s worth mentioning is that I got about a metre away from Mike Skinner, from The Streets, who I have loved since I was about 14 years old.

 I photographed The Streets and The Manor at the O2 Academy in Birmingham, the biggest venue I’ve ever photographed, which was significantly bigger than the tiny downstairs venue of The Sunflower Lounge. I photographed The Streets on behalf of Native Magazine, it was such an amazing experience and I loved every minute of it, see my images here: https://destinationnative.com/gallery-mike-skinner-returns-with-the-streets-supported-by-the-manor-at-the-02-birmingham/. I’ve also been commissioned by Native to do a number of different articles, including sections that revolves around photographing students of Coventry University and asking their opinions of the city (https://destinationnative.com/i-am-native-returns-to-the-streets-of-coventry-and-asks-what-inspires-you-about-where-youre-from/), and writing an ‘interview’ (on the loosest of terms) about my pals from the band FEET during a party after they finished recording their debut album in London earlier this year. https://destinationnative.com/we-spend-an-evening-with-the-recently-named-essential-artists-of-2019-feet/ 

Another experience that’s worth noting is my time spent with photographer and filmmaker Jonny Bark. I initially I worked with Jonny on the RISING Global Peace Forum, we created a rather lovely friendship which then led to me assisting him on his commission from The Herbert to respond to the Anselm Kiefer exhibition in the gallery. Jonny’s exhibition ‘The Learned Protocols of Truth - A response to ARTIST ROOMS: Anselm Kiefer’ ran from November - January in the Herbert. This experience was incredibly valuable for me, as I initially began looking for jobs in galleries when I started looking for a placement, it gave me a taste of what it would be like, but condensed into just over a week. For the exhibition Jonny ran a 3 day workshop with 11 students from the Blue Coats Church of England School, and involved students taking photographs and deconstructing them in response to Anselm Kiefer and The Learned Protocols of Truth. Myself, Jonny and Brian (who works at The Herbert) were tasked with turning the images created by the students into an exhibition that documented the workshops and the outcomes produced. I learned a lot from working alongside Jonny, and working within The Herbert was very rewarding, it was a great way to network and get my name in the gallery. It made me realise that I love working alongside fellow creatives, rather than being confided to the boundaries of being just a freelance photographer. 

All of these experience have be incredibly rewarding, and I have learnt SO much about myself personally and professionally this year. The biggest thing that I’ve learnt is that after this year, I don’t in fact want to be a freelance photographer when I graduate. Whilst I have loved the experiences I’ve had and met some wonderful people, I don’t think freelancing is for me. I’ve had a lot of time to think about this, and I feel like I’d like to work more with young people from all  creative platforms to help them find their feet in the mess that is the creative industry. I’m currently working on a collective down in my home county, Devon, that gives young creatives a platform for them to share their work, find collaborations and eventually find a job within their desired industry without having to move out of Devon to do so.

Young.K's birthday is on December 19th, and so I'm collecting messages and funds for the message book. 190409 Workflow comparison

wMost of the design process or workflow are related with each other. 

At the start of the design process, strategy and planning are pretty important, which lead the way of the whole result. This part is more like what kind of product I’m going to design, or what will this design be. For example it’s a shopping site or online newspaper website? It’s like I’m going to build a house or museum or hospital. Different kind of design has it’s own unique feature that makes it that way.

Then is the user research part. I think this part will be replaced or in another way in the future. It’s a great and clear data based way to find evidence to support your thoughts, but it’s too subjective and the data collected may have some personal tendency. There are also some excellent sample success due to user research like Apple’s earpods, the XBOX controller, they did user research by collecting huge amount of data and get the right sollution of that. However it not always happened. I think user research is one way to find design basis. In architecture, the design can be based on environment, culture and function. 

For the contect, information architecture part, that’s clear and full of logic. By listing the functions and elements that the design need to have and then orginaze them in a properate way. It’s great that all the designer work together and have a full acknowledge about the project. There’s not actrual part to compare with in architecture. I think this part might related to the design list, like strucuture, ventilation, drain. circuit and even interior decoration. Different people with their major have their own thoughts, so it usually become a mass working together. Now designer have BIM and can work a little better than before. 

Then turns to the prototype part. It’s like orginaze components and do the sketching with wireframss. Wireframes seems same as buble diagram that used in traditional function based architecture design, to make a basic knowledge about the function space and circulation about the porject.

Finally it’s time to visual design. Visual design decide how the webpage looks like, it’s welcome or not. The selection of color and fonts are the same as material that used in both interior and exterior facade. They all depend how the product looks like and also the first view to others.

In conclusion, the workflow of webpage design is more like traditional architecture design, from find desgin base to elements collection, then do function orginazation and finally turn to decoration.

Although I havnt explored the subject of hair prior to this or any concepts similar, I believe I will start off this project in a similar way to my previous porject ‘legs’. This process initially starts off with light historical and contextual research. In order to find out the cultural importance of hair I will find information by looking at books on the history of hair inidivual to different cultures, and books on the use of hair, I will also conduct interviews with people of different ages, gender and different cultural ubringing/ backgrounds in order to get first hand insight with people and their relation with hair which may be different to mine. I am comfortable with talking to strangers and interviewing as for my ‘neighbour’ project I interviewed and organised a meet with a stranger to understand this individual, and then and went and interviewed people on the street to gain better insight on this individual’s interest. I will also visit the V&A which will definitly have hair related artifacts such as old hairbrushes, and hats to see how we treat hair as an accessory has changed over time. I will then materially investigate hair, and physically explore its structural integrity by breaking it down, making with hair, collecting different versions of hair (people loose hair, photos of hair, photos of body hair). I will also like to use 3D in my work in some way, I don’t know how this may be relevant in my tests at the moment, but I could make hair sculptures, or play with scale with hair and wigs in order to explore hierarchy and how people will view me and base their opinion on me based on my hair, to see how important my hair is to others perception of me, and see how their opinion changes.

Yesterday, April 18 2017, while averting and distracting myself from work, my father sent me a link where one of our favorite Hot Rod go to man, David Freiburger, was showing a picture of a 1969 Mach1 Mustang as their next Roadkill project car. MY DREAM CAR. For the very few people who have seen my earlier posts here, you would know that I’m obsessed with the 1969 Mustang. (Doesn’t matter if it’s a Mach 1, a Boss 302, a Boss 429, a GT etc.) So having our favorite youtube car show do a project car that is actually my dream car is like watching God come down from the sky! Roadkill is one of Motor Trend’s programs on Youtube. It is hosted by David Freiburger (Former Editor in Chief and now Hot Rod Magazine’s SVP Content Strategist) and Mike Finnegan – Hot Rod Magazine’s Staff Editor. This show is basically, a more raw and fun version of all the current car shows you’ll see on T.V. They repair cars with zip ties, and run nitrous bottles on stock engines -and consequently blow them up. They do road trips and junk yard builds. All the things they do is like a dream job for me. That and playing music and doing art and our podcast. I’d known all about Hot Rod magazine (and Car Craft and all the american magazines) mostly because of my father. He’d been collecting these since the magazine reached the Philippines. So we’ve known Freiburger and Finnegan a long long time. Because we read their articles on the magazine. Magazines that showed me what a 1969 Mustang is when I was in 4th grade. So when they started making videos on YouTube and then made the show (there are also other shows on Motor Trend that are really fun) me and my Dad were really stoked! And now, our favorite show will be building a Junk yard Mustang. A 69’ Mustang. This. Will. Be. EPIC. I will continue to blog about the Mustang they’re going to build. (now named “Disgustang” because of the apparent amount of poop it’s got lol)

My project is about the steps that i take once i am inspired to make a song. And how i go about making it.

WHERE

Recording and most of the filming will take place either at home if it is quiet enough i usually have to record at night. School if i can book time in one of the sweets but the school is a 1 ½ drive from where i live. The lost authentics house is also another place ive gottten some recording done at. Its a house where a group friends live together and make music.

WHAT

The focus of my doc is Artell(Me) a artist from stockton california and the things the come up whenever he tries to create.

WHEN

Most filming will take place before during and directly after making a song.

AUDIENCE

This will be a doc for hip hop fans. A doc for people that want to see the steps someone takes just to try and achive their dreams.

HOW

I plan to have some of my music sprikled in the doc and let them hear the song that was made at the end. I want to do voice over for most of the dialogue while im writing the lyrics. In attempt to explain my motives for that track.  

WHY

Just to show people thats is not always about what you have but its about making due woith what you have.
