can I say something is this a safe space. it's kind of fascinating that ford is meant to read as a deeply repressed character and a capital s Scientist no less but he leads this other half of his life entirely dedicated to the occult. in the 70's-80's. like the historical connotations of the occult and what they represented in the united states at least seems kind of interesting in this context. for no reason in particular I find the dual aspects of "extremely dedicated to presenting as a logical, steadfast researcher trying to earn respect and social acceptance to the point of hinging all of his self worth on this vision for the future working out" and "deeply tied to the paranormal and "unsavory black magic" and everything Weird/freakish but feels like he needs to hide this aspect of himself from even the people closest to him" Very interesting. hiding six-fingered hands compulsively behind his back even if it's the emblem he puts on his journals. "what are you attracted to?" and "maybe you're simply attracted to things that hurt you" from two different points in the book. sweet dreams (are made of this) on the record player. hey does anyone know what that tarot card with a snake on it is meant to represent

I imagined corrupted Schwalbe as neutral enemies who will show aggression after attacking other enemies or themselves. They will periodically spreading bioresonance and glitching, but not that harming as Kolibri's.

Schwalbes are blind and not mobile, but bioresonance can provide them to feel livings for aiming. As they use anti-panzer rifle, it's better to think faster while turning radio and getting right frequency, or leave the room. Radio will only distract them from aiming, not killing.

Their legs are totally ruined. There's remaining only crawling on single normal arm, while other is accrued to weapon(where they find ammo and how, the question is open)

Their mind... Is still here. Maybe you can try to talk with them, even you hear painful growling and wheezes. They still sense warmth of others. Probably they won't stop "experiencing" their punishment... But if you want to, there's chance to once comfort them.

A (lengthy) oc info rundown post because maybe the best way to showcase my pride and joys is not by vague posting about their lore in the tags of unrelated drawings

✨the gods that make their lives miserable (mostly Aegis)✨

Info about them: they all will have demigods, but Aegis is the only one who mimics their appearance. Aegis changes the most because uhhh nature is always changing? And I get bored. Philomena is the leader. Aegis and Achlys have a rivalry going on because something something domain disputes. They are all kind of siblings? And they all have more abstract forms sort of like how I drew Aegis here, but idk man I can’t figure them out.

And basic info about what I mean when I call either Liam or Emmeline a “keeper” because I use it interchangeably with “demigod” even though “keeper” is what it is in the lore lol

And I don’t have a nice drawing for this because idk how but here’s the deal with Finn and why I sometimes say he’s “cursed” or “doomed to repeat a cycle.” So like just like how there’s a new demigod every 100 years, every 100 years someone comes along who holds the same spirit (like a parallel or something idk). This person always meets the keeper and they become inseparable, either platonically or romantically, doesn’t matter. And every time that person is destined to die as the final like shebang for the demigod transfer (like cutting the last tie to humanity or something). Finn is the first to break this cycle but he wasn’t supposed to. AND he’s cursed because the person with the spirit before him, Heidi, was such a little FREAK that she got the whole spirit cursed and now everyone who gets it after her and Finn will be cursed. Idk what this curse is exactly but I’ll figure that out eventually. It’s just fun to point at them and be like “CURSED 🫵”

cant find the post and dont feel like looking for it so i'm just starting a new one

i had my first final exam earlier this morning and i think it went pretty well?? fingers crossed. that class is now completely done, so i can put it on the shelf in my head next to technical english labeled "never have to think about this again probably"

i have sequestered myself on one of the top floors of the library (quiet, big tables) to force myself to work on the last lab report for physics, and i'm going to try to get that done, written and turned in today. so if you see me on here reblogging a bunch of posts in a row for like, half an hour straight, feel free to (gently) bully me back to work so i can also be done with that class and put it on the "never have to think about this again probably" shelf

i'll be trying to keep an eye on the time, but -points at the ADHD time blindness- that sometimes gets away from me
