Hi!
So apparently GMMTV will be announcing their 2024 line up in October!
Which actors do you think will be paired together this time? I feel like Mix and Pond have hinted they will be studying more so maybe not their pairings…. GeminiFourth said they will have a series so definitely them…
I would love to see ThorFluke plus Pawin with anyone and Drake with anyone!
What are your predictions?
Ooooo, GMMTV 2024 Pure Speculation
(remember if it's not data driven I'm historically pretty bad at this, but sure, let's shoot the shizz)
Tumblr media
Most Likely
EarthMix - they're reading v burned out (in addition to Mix + school) but they are currently GMMTV's cash cow so I can't imagine GMMTV won't try to put them in something, no matter what Mix said... but it's possible they'll be let rest for most of 2024.
First & Khao - naturally, if GMMTV can find a script the boys like, these two are likely their the biggest pair earners (if EarthMix really are out).
GeminiFourth - of course, the new princes
ForceBook - honestly they are steady, reliable workhorses who visually suit many BL scripts, they seem easy to work with, fun, and game. Not the most charismatic pair and I'm shaky on their range and versatility, but GMMTV clearly doesn't feel that way. I think it's pretty likely they will get something... I just hope it is something interesting. Are they bankable enough for a historical? That's the real question.
Tumblr media
Not Sure
JoongDunk - I really don't know, I think they are slightly more likely than not but they keep getting lackluster scripts. GMMTV is more likely to blame the pair than the show. And it is possible they are just a lackluster pair... too.
JimmySea - what happen to (or will happen with) Last Twilight?
I'd like to see Jimmy paired with someone else. He's too charismatic for Sea. To really break us they should pair him with Gun and just burn down the world. GMMTV would never do this, tho.
Tumblr media
Least Likely
It's unlikely PondPhuwin will lead out a show. Pond def said something about going back to school. (Which is code for a long break, if nothing else). They're good but less $ than EarthMix so I think GMMTV will back off from them.
OffGun - I'm not saying it won't happen anymore, but...
TayNew - see above
Bright with... anyone but Win.
A queer can dream, tho.
Tumblr media
Some noodling
I do think First & Khao were successful enough, and Only Friends will be enough of a sensation, for GMMTV to consider more First Khao style stuff. AKA instead of just dropping a whole pair, GMMTV will try rearranging pairs. Especially for couples that had previously been mostly just sides.
So we can expect Neo, Mark, Marc, Puwin, Aou, possibly even the twins or the Flukes show up paired "experimentally" with different other actors. Some that may genuinely surprise us.
That said, I'd like some more role swapping too.
For example, with Pond away, and him getting older and being SO established in the genre, I would love to see Phuwin play a seme roll. Not sure he has the personality for it in terms of how he's bonded with some of the newer GMMTV talent since I don't watch any of the variety/BTS anymore, but he has the screen presence.
Remember originally Neo & Phuwin had a pairing... I wonder if that would ever happen again.
I would love love LOVE to see Tay paired with someone else. I thought he was a revelation in 3 Will Be Free showing range I'd no idea he had and he's such a big puppy and friendly with everyone. I bet he could get many partners to trust and relax.
Similarly New needs to play a seme. I think he once said he'd rather not do BL with anyone but Tay, but I still think he'd be fun to see.
So New is less likely, but I think we can safely assume Tay would be game. With TayNew it's whether their shipper/stalker fans would "allow" this.
Tumblr media
What GMMTV Wants/Needs
I said in the past they needed to onboard new talent and they went for free agents (Joong, Perth). I thought they'd go for whole pairs, and I still think they'd be wise to consider this.
Given they're likely shifting focus on expansion into darker, higher heat, and more gritty arenas (which I think they need to do given the paucity of scripts within their preferred BL style, the tenor of the market, and the aging of their existing stable) what they want is Zee++. Now they can't wrestle him/his pair free of Dormundi, so...
For solos they are looking for:
actors who have lost their pair, have range into dark territory, will do high heat, and can play harsher seme roles (tall a bonus.)
If they're smart they make a play for Bible, but I wouldn't rule out Lee Long Shi. Both actors have a style that fills a niche in the GMMTV stable and are pro enough to work well in a new pair that GMMTV sets for them.
You KNOW they want Bible. How could they not? Can you imagine?
If they go after a pair?
If they're smart as I think they are? They want NetJames. And they might be able to get them, depending on contracts. NetJames has been awful quiet recently, they either are actually finally filming Love Upon a Time or that's fallen through and they're in contract negotiations. YinWar and JaFirst are also tempting prospects, I would imagine. Especially Ja.
It's this "new pair to GMMTV" announcement I'm most interested in, come October.
I think I'm leaving a key high heat pair on the table, but GMMTV also has a specific appearance and acting style they tend to cast for, and not all of the current indy heat pairs have that. Plus their are high value pairs that clearly do not want to sign with or work with GMMTV (OhmFluke for example) so that's a factor.
Finally, you KNOW they want to recreate the magic of GeminiFourth with young talent so I would bet they are actively recruiting high school grade pink milk via auditions, so we can expect one set of totally fresh faces.
Also tumblr ate half this post so I might have missed a few pairs worth discussing, because I had them but it deleted them. Don't blame me, blame tumblr, and leave a comment.
Tumblr media
FYI my predictions for 2023 were as follows:
10 GMMTV THAI BL 2023 Predictions (and how I did)
(these are the ones I made last year before their announcements)
EarthMix (yes, 2x)
something with Joong but not paired with Dunk (nope, they tried the same thing again)
dito Jimmy (not sure what's going on there)
what the hell: Lee does a BL (still no, last man standing)
probably a new attempt at ForceBook (yep)
2 set in high school and fewer set in uni (yep/nope)
at least 1 set in an office of some kind and at least 2 set in the countryside (yep/sorta but mostly nope)
one experimental paranormal/alt reality/time slip (yep)
something Friend Zone messy featuring several LBGTQ+ characters and couples and higher heat (yep)
an attempt to resurrect big guns like TayNew (yep - if cherry magic happens) or even BrightWin (nope, they went for OffGun instead, who I had thought were out)
Tumblr media
So here's my...
10 GMMTV THAI BL 2024 Predictions
First & Khao lead out something non-school and complex (GMMTV BL grows up)
ForceBook & GeminiFourth get new shows
Phuwin paired with someone else
GMMTV starts experimenting more with busting up and rearranging pairs
What the hell, Tay does a BL with not New.
We see Joong and Perth star in something GMMTV but not BL
GMMTV pulls in at least one established outside talent who plays harsh seme roles and has a more aggressive tone
GMMTV recruits/onboards an established pair who can and is willing to do higher heat
They option something v complex: crime thriller, mystery, suspense, historical even, I wonder if they might be interested in adapting say... Trapped.
JoJo gets to helm another "off brand" show
What I want them to do?
Finally admit that they can take an established script and "make it gay" and just LEAN in. Descendants of the Sun, but gay. Business Proposal, but gay. Home Town Cha Cha Cha... but gay. Thailand has the latent pool and the screen time but they don't have the scripts/stories.
Time to look to Korea and just fill in the gap that Korea is already leaving on the table (by only doing short form BLs).
Korea has the romances. Hundreds of them. MANY of which are not gender dependent.
Can you fucking imagine if Boss & Babe had been that exact cast but GMMTV doing a gay Dali and the Cocky Prince instead? It would have been amazing.

Predictive vs. Adaptive Development: Which Way to Go?
Predictive development, also known as traditional or waterfall development, is a linear and sequential approach to software development. In this method, the entire project is planned and defined in advance, with a detailed project roadmap outlining all the tasks, milestones, and deadlines. This methodology assumes that the project requirements can be clearly defined from the beginning and do not change significantly during the development process.

Beyond Technical Skills
Baru-baru ini, World Economic Forum (WEF) merilis Future of Jobs Report 2030.
Tapi munculnya generative AI (gen AI) bikin saya was-was.
Stay curious, stay hungry!

1 & 2 for the general asks, and 11 & 13 for Skuld?
(For this)
General:
How did you get into the series?
So back in Ye Olden Days (2005), my mom bought a PS2 off eBay that came with three games--including Kingdom Hearts 1. Ironically, I had like--no interest in the game at the time, haha, so my brother the first to play it. I kind of just hung out in the living room to see what it was about, and uh. Got hooked pretty quickly with the opening movie and Dive to the Heart sequence. (Very much a case of, "Wait, hang on, this actually looks cool." Not what I was expecting at all.) And then from there I kind of just fell in love with the characters and story of the original game, and eventually had to play it myself.
Fun fact: neither of us knew it was going to be a series at the time. Like--Chain of Memories was already out at this point, and KH2 was coming out soon, but we were both oblivious for a long time, haha.
2. What's your favorite KH game?
Probably predictably, Union X. I adore the UX crew so much, and there are so many interesting plot points and lore that just make the story super interesting to dig into. (Everything with Ven, man.) Plus, the ending is just...it's gut-wrenching, but in a way that feels right for the story, even if I wish the crew could've stayed together. Got to love a good tragedy, man.
Skuld:
11. Do you have any headcanons for them?
She loves stories! Both reading them and hearing them from others, haha. It's one of the reasons she and Ephemer hit it off so fast; he had a lot of very out-there rumors and conspiracy theories to share, and Skuld had a pretty large collection of tales to give him in return.
I also imagine she can be a bit competitive; generally very good-natured, but if you're playing games with her, Be Prepared. She and Ephemer probably had an on-going competition for who could defeat the most Heartless on a mission.
13. Favorite fic focusing on this character?
I will GLADLY plug ANAMNESIS by izabellwit (@izabellwit) and skullclamp again, haha. It's genuinely one of my favorite fics ever, with such a fun group of characters. (Skuld, Strelitzia, and Xehanort as roommates in Quadratum? Perfect for drama and shenanigans.) It does such a good job at characterizing this crew and getting into their heads; I love it so much.
For fics where the focus in just Skuld, though, I also really love If Found, Please Return (also by skullclamp). It's a Subject X-Skuld fic, and focuses primarily on what her time as Subject X might've been like. Highly recommend it!

Note
character ask game...you had said Larxene was one of your fav KH characters so im picking her :o)
2. Favorite canon thing about this character?
20. Which other character is the ideal best friend for this character, the amount of screentime they share doesn't matter?
23. Favorite picture of this character? [could be fanart or could be a screenshot/official art of them or one of each or anything you want forever]
(meme)
Favorite canon thing about this character?
Really basic answer but I like that she's mean and not sorry about it, its really fun and gives her character a really good entertaining presence IMO. AND her voice actress kills the performance, too, knows the assignment etc etc yaay yippieee. Overall she's fun to watch and I like her.
Logically I know that if she appears again that (I assume) not being on hostile terms with the main cast anymore - and having a heart again - will probably tone this down a little bit but I hope she keeps some bite at least.
Tumblr media
^^^ I hope she's like this, basically. I know it to be true in my heart, if not.
Which other character is the ideal best friend for this character, the amount of screentime they share doesn't matter?
Hmmm... idk if they'dve been friends like at all (depending on how it'd go it could just be a full on disaster) but it could've at least been really funny to see her interact with, like, Vanitas or Youngnort in 3, maybe. Hater to Hater Communication. Hater to Hater Conversation.
Actually Friends, though? Hm...my boring/"probably canon or at least compliant all things considered" answer of Marluxia is like I said kind of boring/predictable so I'll ignore him for a minute and instead consider maybe Megara? They could have fun shooting the shit together, I think. This isn't very thought out tho (and neither is the first block for this tbh LOL) but I'm considering...
IDK she doesn't strike me as someone who has many friends (seemingly also true of her original self too, if Elrena's chirithy is to be believed? and also if I'm even remembering that right? I havent gotten back around to UX yet 😭) so this was hard to think of. Any she does/would have are probably ride or die besties though? Much to think about...
Favorite picture of this character?
This fanart is really good, the outfits and expressions/posing are excellent. Good work all around!
Canon images uhhh.... cheating on this one and just linking this "All Cutscenes" video, partly bcs I'm lazy and don't want to pick an instance or individual image but like i said, character presence/actress performance really good generally.

Digital Marketing Skills to Learn in 2025
Key Digital Marketing Skills to Learn in 2025 to Stay Ahead of Competition The digital marketing landscape in 2025 is rapidly changing, driven by the technological advancements, shifting consumer behavior, and the growing power of artificial intelligence. Competition and career resilience require acquiring expertise in the following digital marketing skills.
Data Analysis and Interpretation
Data is the backbone of modern marketing strategies. The ability to collect, analyze, and make informed decisions based on large sets of data sets great marketers apart. Proficiency in analytical software like Google Analytics and AI-driven tools is critical in measuring campaign performance, optimizing strategies, and making data-driven decisions. Predictive analytics and customer journey mapping are also becoming more critical for trend spotting and personalization of user experience.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM)

Top UI/UX Design Trends in 2025
What’s Shaping the Future?
Tumblr media
The world of UI/UX design is constantly evolving, and 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year with groundbreaking innovations. As technology advances, user expectations rise, making it crucial for designers to stay ahead of the curve. In this blog, we explore the top UI/UX trends of 2025 that are redefining digital experiences.
For more articles please visit: https://pixelizes.com
AI-Powered Personalization
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is playing a crucial role in UX design, offering hyper-personalized experiences. AI-driven interfaces adapt to user behavior, preferences, and past interactions, delivering content, product recommendations, and layouts that feel tailor-made. Predictive UX — where AI anticipates user needs before they even take action — is expected to become mainstream.
Voice and Conversational UI
Voice interfaces and AI-driven chatbots are revolutionizing digital interactions. With the rise of smart assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant, more brands are incorporating voice UX to create seamless, hands-free experiences. Voice search optimization and conversational UI will be critical for improving accessibility and user engagement.
Augmented Reality (AR) & Virtual Reality (VR) Integration
AR and VR are no longer limited to gaming; they are making a strong impact on e-commerce, education, and healthcare. Immersive UI experiences, such as virtual try-ons and AR-based navigation, will become standard features, enhancing customer engagement.
Minimalistic & Functional Design (Less is More)
Minimalism is evolving into functional minimalism, where every design element serves a clear purpose. Flat design, ample white space, and bold typography are becoming more prominent, ensuring faster loading times and better accessibility.
Dark Mode 2.0
Dark mode remains popular, but in 2025, it’s getting smarter. Adaptive dark mode will adjust based on the time of day or ambient light conditions, reducing eye strain. More applications and websites will adopt dynamic theming that shifts between light and dark modes seamlessly.
3D & Immersive Elements
With advanced rendering technologies, 3D elements are becoming a key trend in UI design. Interactive 3D visuals, animated icons, and depth effects will add realism to digital products, making them more engaging and visually appealing.
Gesture-Based Interactions
As touchscreen devices become more advanced, gesture-based controls will replace traditional buttons and menus. Swipes, pinches, and taps will make navigation more intuitive, especially in mobile applications and wearable devices.
Biometrics for Seamless Authentication
Passwords are becoming a thing of the past. Biometric authentication — such as facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, and even behavioral authentication — will enhance security while making logins frictionless.
Ethical and Inclusive Design
Inclusivity and accessibility are now top priorities in UI/UX design. Designers are focusing on color contrast, text readability, and voice-assisted features to ensure that digital experiences are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. Ethical design also means reducing addictive UX patterns that manipulate user behavior.
Sustainability and Eco-Friendly UI
Sustainable design is taking center stage in 2025. Digital products are adopting energy-efficient UI designs, dark mode for power savings, and eco-conscious design principles to reduce the carbon footprint of websites and apps.
Final Thoughts
As we move into 2025, UI/UX designers must stay ahead by embracing AI, immersive experiences, and ethical design principles. The future of design is not just about aesthetics—it’s about creating meaningful, accessible, and sustainable experiences for users.

Tangling the web: an upcoming post series (?)
Hey all! Amari here. I'll be starting a post series about web design traits and trends that have become inescapable across the internet, and whether we can internet without them—as users, developers, and designers.
Tumblr media
Petri Dish - a weird web experience thing I made.
So, I'm a web developer who's had brief stints in graphic design, and my current PhD research orbits around the theme of virtual spaces and places. I've made websites, I've taught people how to make websites, and I'm something of an avid user of websites myself.
And…well…I'm bored! I'm bored of SEO-driven design. I'm bored of single-flow webpages that start with a giant hero image and end in a shiny call to action button—all designed to channel you as quickly as possible to the part where you subscribe or enter your card details.
(Even this post is formatted like one of them! It wasn't even intentional! It's become ingrained in the way I structure and present my ideas, and that's just a little disturbing.)
These templates are sweeping the landscape like invasive trees. And at the heart of this scourge is the vaunted axiom of "Predictability," which gets peddled in every UI/UX class that is "future-oriented" enough to use that acronym. Predictability lets users learn a new site quickly so they spend money sooner, fosters comfort and familiarity with the idea of spending money, and allows for the development of usage patterns where money is spent.
I get the merits of that axiom; I get that it has a time and place. But when game and webcomic sites look and feel and interact like that, I think we have to ask: Can we imagine something different? Can we slow the takeover of the smooth corpo aesthetic? Can we avert a future where the effective geography of the web, with all its varied terrain and endemic textures, is bulldozed into featureless oblivion?
I think it would be presumptuous to suggest that they're some mythic species of the past that slowly died out, too. A lot of the web experiences we loved well as kids are still right there, or have successors that are! They've just gotten so crowded out, by the combination of corporate sites and corporate-driven search algorithms, that one wonders if they will someday become impossible to stumble upon.
Anyway, the intended post series is born out of these provocations. I'd like to tackle elements of the current schema of "good web design" and contemplate a web without them (hopefully with examples if I can find them):
Predictable layouts, the "F" scan pattern, and calls to action
Discoverability / SEO
Well-formed HTML and well-maintained linkage
Responsive web design
Identity and device tracking
Socially engineering higher engagement through design
Statefulness and timelines
Visually communicating functionality
And I know, all of these things sound like good traits for a site to have. And yes, in most contexts, they are! But I think imagining the web without them is a highly worthwhile exercise anyway.
Anyway, stay tuned if that interests you—I will be posting them to this blog and tagging them with #tangling the web. Alas, my Call to Action reflex could not be denied, and I had to give you an easily actionable instruction at the end of the post.

10 Essential Digital Marketing Tips to Boost Your Business in 2024
In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, businesses of all sizes must stay up-to-date with the latest marketing strategies. The internet has changed the way consumers interact with brands, and as we approach 2024, mastering digital marketing will be more critical than ever. To help you stay competitive and drive meaningful results, here are 10 essential digital marketing tips that will elevate your business in the coming year.
1. Optimise for Voice Search
With the growing popularity of voice-activated devices like Amazon’s Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple’s Siri, voice search has become a key component of how people find information online. In fact, it's expected that over 50% of all searches will be voice-driven. Unlike traditional text-based searches, voice searches tend to be more conversational and long-tail.
To optimise your website for voice search, start by incorporating natural language into your SEO strategy. This means using question-based keywords that reflect how people speak, such as “Where can I find the best digital marketing tips?” Additionally, focus on featured snippets and providing concise, relevant answers, as these are often used by voice assistants to respond to queries.
Tumblr media
2. Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Your Campaigns
Artificial Intelligence is transforming the way businesses approach digital marketing. From chatbots to data analytics, AI enables companies to better understand customer behavior, predict trends, and create highly personalized marketing experiences. AI-driven tools can automate tasks like email segmentation, content recommendations, and customer service interactions, allowing businesses to save time while improving engagement.
For example, AI-powered chatbots can enhance customer experiences by providing instant responses to common inquiries, even outside of business hours.  AI can also help businesses optimise their ad campaigns by analysing large amounts of data and suggesting improvements based on performance.
Tumblr media
3. Prioritise Video Marketing
Video content is now an indispensable part of any digital marketing strategy. By 2024, it’s estimated that video will account for 82% of all online traffic. This makes video marketing one of the most effective ways to capture your audience’s attention. Whether it’s through YouTube, Instagram Stories, TikTok, or live streaming, video allows you to engage customers in ways that text or images simply can’t.
To maximise the impact of your video content, focus on creating short, engaging videos that are informative and entertaining. Live video is also becoming more popular, with platforms like Instagram and Facebook offering live streaming capabilities that allow you to interact with your audience in real-time. Demonstrating your products or services, hosting Q&A sessions, or sharing behind-the-scenes content can help build a more personal connection with your audience.
Tumblr media
4. Collaborate with Social Media Influencers
Influencer marketing is no longer just a trend—it’s a powerful tool for businesses to increase brand awareness and drive conversions. By partnering with influencers who have a loyal following, you can leverage their credibility and reach new audiences. In 2024, micro-influencers (influencers with smaller, highly engaged audiences) are expected to play a more significant role, as they often have more authentic interactions with their followers compared to larger influencers.
When selecting influencers to collaborate with, ensure they align with your brand’s values and target demographic. Authenticity is key—today’s consumers can easily spot a partnership that feels forced or inauthentic. Focus on building long-term relationships with influencers rather than one-off promotions for more meaningful engagement.
Tumblr media
5. Enhance User Experience (UX) on Your Website
User experience is central to the success of any digital marketing strategy. A poorly designed website can drive away potential customers and negatively impact your search engine rankings. Google places a strong emphasis on Core Web Vitals, which measure aspects like page load speed, interactivity, and visual stability.
As we move into 2024, it’s essential to ensure that your website is optimised for both speed and mobile friendliness. More than 50% of web traffic now comes from mobile devices, so if your site isn’t mobile-friendly, you could be losing a significant portion of your audience. Focus on providing a seamless, intuitive experience with easy navigation and fast load times to keep visitors engaged.
Tumblr media
 6. Master SEO: Focus on High-Quality Content
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is a long-standing digital marketing technique that continues to evolve. As Google’s algorithms become more sophisticated, the emphasis has shifted from keyword stuffing to creating high-quality, informative content. In 2024, businesses should focus on producing valuable, long-form content that addresses the needs and pain points of their audience.
To improve your SEO, conduct thorough keyword research and create content that provides in-depth answers to commonly asked questions in your industry. Use internal linking to guide visitors to other relevant pages on your website and ensure that your content is updated regularly to remain fresh and relevant.
Tumblr media
7. Invest in Paid Advertising
While organic reach is still valuable, the rise of paid advertising offers a more direct way to target specific audiences. Platforms like Google Ads, Facebook, and Instagram allow businesses to use highly targeted advertising to reach potential customers based on demographics, interests, and online behaviour.
In 2024, consider experimenting with a mix of search ads, social media ads, and display ads to diversify your strategy. Retargeting campaigns, which focus on users who have already visited your site, are particularly effective at converting potential customers who didn’t purchase their first visit.
Tumblr media
8. Use Email Marketing to Nurture Leads
Email marketing remains one of the most effective ways to nurture leads and maintain customer relationships. In 2024, personalisation will be key to running successful email campaigns. Use behavioural data to send personalised emails based on your audience’s past interactions with your brand. Whether it's a product recommendation, an abandoned cart reminder, or a birthday discount, personalising your emails can significantly improve open and conversion rates.
Additionally, focus on building your email list organically and create   engaging, mobile-friendly templates that grab attention. Incorporate   dynamic content that adapts to the recipient’s preferences to make your emails more relevant and engaging.
Tumblr media
 9. Incorporate User-Generated Content (UGC)
User-generated content (UGC) is a powerful form of social proof that can influence purchase decisions. Customers are more likely to trust the opinions of their peers than traditional advertising. Encourage your customers to share their experiences with your products or services on social media, and showcase UGC on your website and marketing channels.
UGC can take the form of reviews, testimonials, photos, and videos   from customers. By featuring authentic content from real users, you can build trust with potential customers and foster a sense of community around your brand.
Tumblr media
10. Utilise Data Analytics to Drive Decisions
Data analytics is the foundation of a successful digital marketing strategy. By tracking the performance of your campaigns, you can make   data-driven decisions that improve your ROI. Tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and marketing automation platforms can provide valuable information on how your audience interacts with your content, website, and ads.
In 2024, focus on real-time analytics to track user behaviour and adjust your marketing strategies on the fly. Use data to identify trends, test new ideas, and continuously refine your approach to maximise results.
Tumblr media
    Conclusion
Digital marketing is an ever-changing field, and staying ahead of the trends is essential for business growth. By incorporating these 10 essential digital marketing tips, you’ll be well-prepared to navigate the challenges of 2024 and beyond. From optimising for voice search and embracing AI to mastering video marketing and enhancing your SEO efforts, each of these strategies will help you boost your business and stay ahead of the competition. Start implementing these tips today and watch your business soar to new heights in the digital world!

sorry for a linkedin esque post but i have design industry "predictions". ai will do away with the convenient and very lucrative lie designers have been selling for years which is that you need a design team and design thinking and ux spcialists and all kinds of people with degrees in the made up discipline that is dsign and the field will have a minor collapse in a few years. designers will move over to more strategic product service or project focused roles and junior / semi sr workloads will increase and diversify. the whole "one role does all my social media content" thing was not really truly feasible (and imho all the complaining about it pre 2020 was fair and reasonable bc asking one person to do that at industry standards was not gonna work out) until now. atp theres no reason why a junior cant come out of uni knowing basics of photo, video, vector and even basic 3d editing when ai can help do half the work at standards satisfactory enough for the avg workplace to accept it and request it. the extremes (small design studios or freelancers with a fairly limited and select account list doing truly groundbreaking creative work) are still the extremes though they might just move a little faster now
