Penny stardewvalley makes me so sad because she's SO sensitive to, like, basically everything you tell her (telling her that you can't stand children while two children are nearby is a pretty lousy move but -1500 friendship?? being a jerk to other characters' faces typically loses you about 50 points, and if you choose the option labeled "creepy" and ask Leah for a kiss in her 2 heart event she physically hits you and kicks you out of her house but that's only -100 friendship…) and so if you want to befriend her it's a whole lot of lying and tiptoeing around her feelings (2 hearts: George was right but saying that makes her feel bad. 6 hearts: her food sucks but even if you try to be polite about it she feels like a failure; only a bald-faced lie pleases her. 8 hearts: saying you don't want to be tied down with a family loses you a little bit of friendship and she's only happy if you say you want kids) and I can't help but think she's a product of her environment. She lives in a trailer with only her mother, who gets drunk every night and has something of a temper. Penny's like a skittish rescue animal who won’t even come out from hiding under something unless you leave her lots of treats

Knitting a freehand bag and started wondering how often people even use patterns, anyway. So--how often do you use a pattern when you make things ? This include knitting/crochet/sewing/weaving/nalbinding/bobbin lace/tatting/etc but also things like woodworking, cooking, and baking. If you want to just pick the thing you do most often that's fine.

I personally do not use patterns as I find them far more confusing than just figuring out the construction of an item and simply making it. I do very occasionally browse ravelry for inspiration but have downloaded maybe 2. In the 5 or so years since I joined. And have followed exactly 1, which I modified every single aspect of. In my defense, dyslexia.

When people are designing the human versions of the eggs, I really have a preference for them not looking seriously physically similar (minus dapper). I like it when the eggs look adopted, that they aren’t biologically related but they are still family. I really enjoy when people make it less their physical appearance and more how they present themselves, with clothes, hairstyles, or even how they stand. Once I saw an egg line up that had Dapper and Pomme’s hair styled the same way, as to denote them being siblings. Things like Chay and Missa not looking similar but Chay wearing a mini version of his mask, and styling his hair the same way as Phil is really neat to me. I just like it when the kids look adopted, and adopt features of the parents they meet in the way actual kids do. Obviously there is some exceptions since kids are sometimes just going to look similar regardless of adoption or not, but I just love when people include how they’re all adopted.

Would like to say that I appreciated Richarlyson mentioning earlier that he views Bad as his crazy cool uncle and that just because he doesn't see him as a father - doesn't mean that he loves Bad any less < 3 !!! Other family members then the parents should be more appreciated !! Uncles and Aunts can give just as much love to their nephew and nieces as their parents can. Same with vice versa, nephew and nieces can give as much love to their Uncles and Aunts. There doesn't have to be a specific level of love that stops at a bar just because an Uncle is an uncle and not the parent of said child.
