I've talked a little before about how I think Daedric princes can take on any shape and human appearances are a consideration toward mortal supplicants who couldn't comprehend interacting with a vague miasma of pure distilled Concept.

After Tanis defeats Jyggalag he has trouble maintaining any form at all, and retreats into the Root System where he spends some time trying and mostly failing to have a body. The first sketch is how Haskill finds him some weeks later.

He so readily abandons his humanity (elfanity...whatever) that the second form is the one he takes on after Haskill convinces him to stop being a gross pile of mycelium, and he reverts to that occasionally when pissed.

The first few times he's summoned by mortals, he appears as the third form. This based on his vague memory of this ritual mask, which only serves to create a renewed interest in Dunmer beliefs around trial through the House of Troubles. Eventually he realizes that an offputting appearance isn't going to discourage worship, and appears more or less like himself. Except when it's time to be Skooma Cat....he loves to be kittycat
