In the first image they are accompanied by someone else but we will see that later

For the kids

Hello folks, after a loooooooooge break, here’s some news. First, I want to thanks every single one of you for all the hype, the love, the interest you give to the Kids Fortress comic. It goes right into my heart. You was my first big fanbase and it give me strength to go further in my life, so thanks you so much. 

I've decided to take a break in 2018 to finally never continu the comic, unfortunately. I know a lot of you love it, and just for that, I would like to continu. The thing is they is only 24 hours in a day, 7 days per weeks. I had to make a choice. A really hard choice. In 2018, I sign a contract for my very first original comic book with an European editor, Casterman Editions. (that’s a big deal for a first book!!!) I create and right the story, the univers. But guess what, it’s still with kids. And it’s about my French Canadian culture and legends. Also, I’m working on an other original comic book totally different about a yellow human gecko girl, and this one is so far my favourite thing I ever create. 

When you have the chance to publish your own story you created, you take it. So that’s what I did. And I have to mention that I still work in the animation industry has a freelance, so it’s not a lot of time for many projets in the same time. So now, if you guys want to draw about Kids Fortress, continu de comic, put your twist into it, GO FOR IT! I would love to see it! Just mention my name and the link of the Tumblr page. 

I will be really honest with you all, Kids Fortress miss me too. But the characters and universe you create all by your own bring you so much more joy. And, I’m somewhere else in my life has well. I hope you will understand. I've decided to follow my dream to be a comic book auteur, and I’m finally one my way to publish my first one. Hope you will like those new stories.

Why Aliens feels off in Tales of Arcadia

Don't get me wrong, I really like Aja, Krel and Varvatos. I even think that 3Below was quite good, even if i'm not a sci-fi fan at all (i even managed to fall asleep in front of every Star Wars ever, and not with any other movie). But good doesn't mean good in terms of storytelling. Because after all 3Below is set in the Tales of Arcadia franchise, and let's just say they don't 100% fit in it.

So why is that ?

1. Trollhunters is based on a book, and the book doesn't contain any aliens.

Well from what I have researched the book doesn't contain any trace of wizards too. I will also add that I haven't read the original book, I just made some researches about its content on the internet.

For those who don't know, Trollhunters : Tales of Arcadia is a loose adaptation of a book written by Guillermo Del Toro and Daniel Kraus, called Trollhunters. It's an adaptation similar to How to Train Your Dragon : The characters are present, the surnatural/fantasy aspect of the book is also present but everything else is changed. I even saw that Steve dies in the book, so glad they didn't take that route.

And i'm not part of the people who screams and cry everytime there is any changes from a book to a movie, To be deeply honest with you all I studied Cinema and English litterature in highschool and my final projet for those two subjects was to talk about how some changes in book adaptations are a good idea.

But it just shows that writer did not have any basic material for it. They had to create it all from scraps, and I feel like the first season of Trollhunters was already out when they thought of aliens, so they decided to connect it howerver they could. Which leads us to our second point.

2. Aliens don't really have any deep connections with humans, trolls or wizards.

Wizards and trolls fought against Gumm gumms, wizards have created many magical relics that Trolls uses, and as we saw with Hisirdoux wizards have an habit of dealing with trolls species. The interactions are already present, they have a deep history between them, shares problems and common knowledge.

Aliens apparently shook hands long time ago on Earth and were gone for the rest of the time, so except an old memory forgotten by almost everyone, they don't really have a pre existing history tying them to the different races in the story.

Trolls and wizards are based on things we already know off. I mean we have countless myths and legends about them already, but there is a bit more to that.

Horseshoe are items to uncover if someone is a changeling, trolls love to eat socks, which ties into the forever myth of "why am I always missing a sock", you think that racoons made your trashcan fall but it could have been gobelins, is that a black cat or just a small dragon etc. You really have the aspect that you interact with the "underworld" on a day to day basis without being actually aware of, and that goes deeper than just "oh this random person is just a troll in disguise".

Aliens don't really have that, like no one except the army used alien technology before 3Below, and still it was in secret so we can't really copy that to our everyday life as easily as the previous examples that I made.

Earth is about Trolls, humans, demi-gods and wizards. And it also happened to have aliens once in a while, but nothing much about it. And that leads us to our last point.

3. The plot has no space for Aliens.

Since the whole story is about earth and the fate of earth, we don't really have space for Aliens in the plot (no puns intended). We can literally see that with the 3Below plot : gumm gumms are something completly unrelated to the plot, it just happens in the back while the main plot is happening. 3Below is more of a spin-off or a "What If?" kind of show than a continuation of the main plot.

3Below is an interlude, an easter egg for the fans. You barely see the main cast, the main cast barely acknowledge the presence of the trio in their own show.

See I wouldn't be criticizing it if it was considered as such in the franchise. A side-story that doesn't impact the plot, but for fan service it will appear in the final movie so that everyone has their conclusion.

But it's not the case, it is seen as an important part of the story by the studio. It has never been advertised as something else than an active part of Tales of Arcadia.

If they truly wanted something about aliens, it should have been as a side story, a spin off.

But as a major part of the franchise, it doesn't deserve its spot and you can feel it.

Idée forum :

Calydria, un monde en proie à un conflit séculaire entre deux continents hostiles, Erydor et Solastria. Au cœur de cette lutte incessante, le continent d'Erydor abrite trois prestigieuses académies, chacune formant une élite de combattants et de savants destinés à servir dans l'armée de défense contre les forces ennemies de Solastria.

Académie des Chevaucheurs : Cette académie forme les Chevaucheurs, des guerriers spécialement entraînés pour être les cavaliers des Éthéria (des dragons, des griffons, des wyverns, des aigles etc).

Académie des Élémentaires : Ici, les étudiants apprennent à maîtriser les éléments primordiaux : l'air, le feu, la terre, l'eau, la lumière et l'ombre. Les Élémentaires seront des guerriers capables de manipuler leur élément de prédilection pour des usages offensifs et défensifs.

Académie des Alchimistes : Les Alchimistes étudient les mystères de la science et de la magie pour créer des potions, des poisons et des artefacts magiques.

L'admission à ces académies est ouverte à tous ceux qui ont atteint la majorité et qui sont prêts à s'engager à servir dans l'armée d'Erydor. Contrairement à d'autres institutions, les candidats ne sont pas sélectionnés en fonction de leur origine sociale ou de leur statut familial, mais plutôt de leur volonté de défendre leur patrie. Ceux qui préfèrent ne pas suivre la voie des combattants peuvent opter pour des parcours administratifs, contribuant ainsi à la gestion et à l'organisation de la société et de l'armée d'Erydor.

Dans les profondeurs d'Auroria, le royaume des Éthéria, une alliance de créatures mythiques s'est effectués quelques centaines auparavant face à la menace grandissante des Dévoreurs d'Ombre, des abominations nées des expériences désastreuses des humains de Solastria, émergent des ténèbres pour semer la destruction sur leur passage. Les Éthéria ont décidés de s'allier avec les humains d'Erydor et de se liés à seulement certains d'entre eux qu'ils considèrent comme méritant.

Sur les continents en guerre d'Erydor et de Solastria, les tensions séculaires alimentent un conflit sans fin. Les deux factions se disputent le contrôle de Calydria, tandis que les champs de bataille sont le théâtre de combats acharnés pour la suprématie.

Ainsi, sur fond de conflit entre continents et de lutte pour la survie des peuples magiques, Calydria est plongée dans une bataille épique entre l'équilibre et le chaos. Le destin de chacun repose sur l'issue incertaine de cette guerre sans merci, où se joue l'avenir même de leur monde.

J'aimerais, peut-être, me lancer dans ce projet. Toutefois, je ne veux plus faire de projet seule alors si certains d'entre vous sont inspirées par ce début de contexte n'hésitez pas à me contacter par mp ! Repartage très fortement apprécié ♥

Au fait, hum, euh, depuis le temps....

J'ai lancé un projet Ulule de Calendrier 2024 !

J'ai à ce point peur de lancer mon projet sans avoir assez de visibilité que je vais même le poster sur ce compte de WIPs totalement laissé à l'abandon depuis deux ans, ahah ^^

(oui parce que sinon, en fait, je n'ai quasiment plus fait de tradi depuis, et comme ici c'était un peu la ligne éditoriale.... j'ai tout déménagé sur mon compte insta, @tsukopatheoftarismul !)

Que dire.... euhm... vous avez fait quoi de neuf, vous depuis deux ans ? c'est quoi votre post dont vous êtes le plus fier ?

Synopsis: Alfy, a young inventor, develops her latest invention, a conscious robot using an alien mineral housed in her skull. The experiment gets out of control and Alfy loses control of his creation which causes mayhem in town.

Synopsis :

Alfy, une jeune inventrice met au point sa dernière invention, un robot conscient à l'aide d'un minerai extraterrestre logé dans son crâne. L'expérience s'emballe et Alfy perd le contrôle de sa création qui cause la pagaille en ville.

En tant que spectatrice random, le QSMP a réellement été une expérience unique. Personnellement, je suis le projet depuis l'arrivée des fr, et je me doutais pas que cette invitation allait être le début de quelque chose de grand.

Au début c'était intriguant. Et à mesure qu'on découvrait les autres streamers invités, le potentiel du projet se révélait ! Je vous dis pas le choc que j'ai eu quand j'ai appris que Jaiden était dans le serveur ><

À côté des rencontres et interactions funs, le fait de voir des personnes du monde entier parler de nos streamers fr et les apprécier était si satisfaisant ! D'ailleurs c'était marrant de voir des inter devenir fans des streamers qu'on connaissait et suivait déjà avant xD

Bref, même si j'ai profité du contenu de mon côté, et que j'ai aussi été agacée par le traitement des fr, j'ai quand même passé un très bon moment à suivre les lives des fr (principalement ceux d'Étoiles). C'était drôle et rafraîchissant ! Surtout pour une personne comme moi, qui a découvert Minecraft par la même occasion.

Malheureusement, et comme dit dans mon poste précédent, les trop nombreuses négligences commençaient à sérieusement s'accumuler, jusqu'à tout récemment, où tout a fini par éclater avec la révélation des conditions abusives et ingrates des employés (bénévoles inclus).

C'était une trahison complète. Surtout venant d'un projet qui promouvait le partage de culture et la communication. L'ironie...

Quackity a failli à sa tâche de "patron" et les dégâts causés par ses erreurs sont irréversibles. Il a tué son propre projet. C'est triste.

Depuis les démissions successives des admins, dont celle de Pomme qui est la plus récente, le projet n'a désormais plus aucun intérêt à mes yeux. Autant d'un point de vue éthique que récréatif. Du potentiel complètement gâché.

J'imagine que l'aventure française est terminée également, et c'est pas plus mal finalement.

Ce fut un arc original et très surprenant qui a permis d'élargir les horizons pour tous, mais qui ne peut plus durer (sainement) à présent. Et admettons que les tous les problèmes soient réglés, ça ne sera plus la même chose.

Pour mon cas, tout ce qui me rester à faire, à présent, c'est d'imaginer à quoi aurait ressemblé le projet si tout avait bien été géré. Voir la tournure que l'histoire aurait prise, les possibles routes que les personnages auraient empruntés, les interactions qu'on aurait pu avoir, etc. Tout ceci n'est qu'une affaire d'imagination :)

Ça laisse quand même un goût amer d'inachevé, mais qui disparaîtra.

Pour les 1 ou 2 personnes à qui ça intéresse, dans la mesure où le QSMP s'arrête définitivement côté fr (ce qui est très probable), ce compte deviendra un compte fantôme, puisque qu'il a été créé uniquement pour le QSMP (pareil pour mon compte twitter). Toutefois, si l'inspiration me revient (ce qui m'étonnerait franchement xD), je posterai encore des petits trucs par-ci par-là, puisque j'estime que les personnages appartiennent aux streamers avant tout.

Pour conclure, merci à tous les admins du projet, qui ont donné vie au serveur, et aux streamers pour le contenu proposé.

Merci à Pomme, qui nous a accompagné le long de cet arc et qui a vécu l'enfer pendant des mois. Tu mérites un bon repos.

September 16th, 1789: 234 years ago, Jean-Paul Marat published the first issue of L'Ami Du Peuple

L'Ami du Peuple, or, as it was called at the time it was founded, L'Ami Du Peuple ou Le Publiciste Parisien, was an active revolutionary newspaper and also one of the most absolutely fascinating and interesting pieces of the entire French Revolution, created and edited by Marat from September 1789.

The year 1789 was a relatively turbulent period for both Marat's career and the history of the Revolution. This can be seen simply by the number of projects that Marat began in a short space of time. In February, just two months after publishing his Offrande à la Patrie (1788), he published the Supplément à l'Offrande (1789). In March, he began to attend the sessions of the electoral assembly of his district, Carmes-Déchaussés, with great assiduity and was soon elected to the electoral committee. In August, he began publishing Le Moniteur Patriote and also published the Projet de déclaration des droits de l'homme et du citoyen suivi d'un Plan de constitution juste, sage et libre. Finally, in September, he published No. 1 of Le Publiciste Parisien, and consequently No. 5 of the then L'Ami Du Peuple ou Le Publiciste Parisien, which marked the birth of the famous Friend of the People, a character Marat would identify with until the last day of his life. It can be said that this newspaper came about when Marat found himself in a situation where he would have to produce and publish newspapers and pamphlets independently and without the approval of his colleagues. He proposed to the committee that it should have a press, which was apparently not accepted by the district.

More than just one of the many periodicals that existed during the course of the revolution, L'Ami du Peuple is a precious historical source of information and there is no doubt that it was important for the unfolding of revolutionary events. Not even Delisle de Sales, in his Essai sur le journalisme depuis 1735 jusqu'à l'an 1800 (1811), a work that expressed the author's deep aversion to the revolutionary process and especially to Marat, denies that L'Ami Du Peuple left a mark on the philosophical memory of the history of French journalism.

Albert Mathiez, in a summary of Gottschalk's Marat in the 1927 AHRF (pp. 599-602), makes an interesting comment on Marat's analysis in the context of revolutionary journalism:

"In my opinion, what makes Marat original among the journalists and statesmen of the Revolution has not been sufficiently appreciated by M. Gottschalk. (...) He was never naïve about the revolution that was taking place. From the first moment, he proclaimed that the proletarians - an expression he had already used in its current sense - would gain nothing. (...) No other revolutionary had the same degree of feeling that the proletariat was a class distinct from the bourgeoisie. (...) What always distinguished Marat, presented as an enlightened man, was the correctness of his vision, the total absence of candor, the profound and even pessimistic realism. Marat was not only one of the most determined and precocious republicans. He also did not conceive of the Republic except in the form of direct rule."

In addition to the abundant and impressive number of issues that were written (L'Ami du Peuple had almost 700 issues in total, not counting the pamphlets and later works), it is even more astonishing when we stop to consider that a large part of all the work produced by Marat during the five years of revolution was almost entirely uninterrupted, but mainly clandestine. He managed not to be prevented even by laws (such as the decree of March 9, 1793, which obliged members of the Convention who were newspaper editors to choose between legislation and journalism) from continuing to produce and publish his writings.

Today's date is important and significant for history - the history of journalism and the revolution, but especially and undoubtedly the history of Marat. L'Ami du Peuple was, above all, a character. He is a truly dedicated patriot, brave and fearless, who cares about his fellow citizens and the people. He is an important character for Marat because the two, at a certain point, become one. L'Ami du Peuple, who initially appears as the construction of a publicity strategy, quickly becomes a kind of romantic hero of the revolution, with whom Marat identifies and whom he also uses to continue ceaselessly defending what was right for him, what fit in with his very well-founded and observed political and social principles. The previous Marat, the Marat Man of the Enlightenment, physicist, doctor and experimenter, had a passion that managed to outshine all his other interests: politics, and of that there is no doubt. Marat found himself moved by this political passion a few times before the Revolution - Chains Of Slavery (1774), for example, which was written incessantly over just three months, with mainly political aims, is living proof of Marat's burning passion in this area - but none of the times he expressed his interest was as strong and as significant for him as the creation of L'Ami du Peuple, which signified Marat's definitive entry into the revolution. L'Ami du Peuple was important to Marat because it was through it that he was able to express and make his politics heard; because L'Ami du Peuple made Marat so passionately committed to a revolution that it gave him, definitively, a homeland: the France.
