The first thing that came to mind, naturally speaking ,The Sword in The Stone. There are so many legends that I grew up reading ,listening where swords play a main role in different cultures around the world. Some I have already forgotten but some stuck with me ,don’t ask me why,so in one of my journeys I asked my guides, about this. Well ,the reply came unexpectedly ,I was told that it was connected to one of my past lives as a swordsmith the story is not a fancy one but rather mundane. In mankind’s symbology of weapons swords have been created to fulfill but one purpose and that is kill. But the one forgotten fact is that swords were originally made to be just trophies with magical powers. Not to take someone’s life. But to point the way of the clan during calamities and to be kept wrapped in leathers ,pelts and a box of metal or wood. Now in times of war the sword was hidden to avoid being destroyed or taken by the enemy. Well, the use of swords as weapons was indeed later considered but in earlier times not every tribe could make iron tools or weapons ,they required a civilization with sedentary lives to smelt ore ,and create alloys strong enough to withstand the use without breaking .It took hundreds of year to arrive at the use of medieval weapons and to be produced in such large quantities. We often forget and by ignorance the time that it took for a civilization to advance in metallurgy. This is the reason why our species had to be intervened by alien races to move forward in inventions that have been attributed to humans while in truth this wasn’t so. But the keepers of this planet were indeed a more sophisticated species that left us with little knowledge at first but kept an eye on us for millennia and yes ,they still do.More about weapons that were not created by us but given in order to survive .The hidden prehistory and history ,of weapons do have a very powerful influence on us but to kill our own species is one that was not originally intended .You don’t give a weapon to an immature species that has not yet evolved enough to understand its power. What more proof do you want look at us now ,we are still warmongers ,barbarians ,beasts that value very little life, yes , and the worse record is possess by men with disgusting religious dogma. Hoarders of knowledge capable to produce a nuclear weapon and a nuclear winter. Words by Sergio GuymanProust.

Jeffrey Sachs: The US is leading us closer to nuclear war | The InnerView
Jan 13, 2025   World-renowned economist Jeffrey Sachs tells Imran Garda he doesn’t trust the US — its intentions, foreign policy, or direction — no matter the administration. He says that the United States is steering the world toward disaster. As he castigates America, the Columbia University professor denies that this has made him an apologist for countries like China and Russia. Rather than Israel being an extension of US policy in the region, Sachs provocatively declares that Benjamin Netanyahu is steering American policy with Israel’s wars in Gaza, Lebanon and even had a hand in earlier wars such as Iraq. He also argues that western countries, led by the US, and not Vladimir Putin, are ultimately to blame for starting Russia’s war in Ukraine. An advisor to UN Secretaries General and governments around the world, Sachs gives us some personal insights into his own experience of what he says was a CIA orchestrated coup in Haiti, and how he decodes the intentions of those he is certain are taking us ever closer to global nuclear catastrophe.

Pressure on resources will mount, new diseases will evolve, nuclear weapons will proliferate, and – most insidious of all – global weirding will shift the calculus in unpredictable ways.

This efficient delivery of HP to SMCs, together with its sustainable release from LDH-HP nanohybrids (figure 25.18), enhances the prohibition effect of HP on SMC migration and proliferation, which is actively pursued in search of effective anti-restenosis treatment.

Almost Righteous Fire
Almost Righteous Fire - This morning I talk about my Ignite Warpath Forge Guard in Last Epoch and how it feels very Righteous Fire while burninating everything.
Hey Folks! I’ve been down a rabbit trail for the last few days in Last Epoch where I started a brand new character. Initially, it started out as a “I lapped my friends, so I should start something new so I can play with them” which led me to start a Forge Guard character. Forge Guard is in the same Sentinel class that Void Knight is but in theory, its tree is all about minions and catching things…

Bridging the gap between cloud vs on-premise security - Help Net Security
With the proliferation of SaaS applications, remote work and shadow IT, organizations feel obliged to embrace cloud-based cybersecurity. And rightly so, because the corporate resources, traffic, and threats are no longer confined within the office premises. Cloud-based security initiatives, such as Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and Security Service Edge (SSE), comprising Secure Web Gateway…

tbh. there is a lot of upheaval in feedist spaces here on tumblr, but we will still exist after everything. in 2018, tumblr banned porn and “mature themes” straight out—despite that, you can still find posts from the feedist community from before AND after that point.
even if tumblr decides to censor the community, we will still exist here 🤷‍♀️ i don’t plan on abandoning this blog!

[ID: A drawing of the three player characters from Drawfee's Drawtectives series, posing in front of one of their pride flags. The drawings are black line art filled in with white, and the characters have their season 1 designs. York, a tall half-orc, is in front of an asexual flag. Rosé, a human, is in front of a sapphic flag. Grendan, a dwarf, is in front of a genderfluid flag. End ID.]
The new drawfee video had me in a drawtectives mood. Happy pride!

Okay so! I noticed in your recent reblog chain a Tweet saying that Vance converted to the "American Protestant idea of Roman Catholicism" and as a catholic-sensibilities Episcopalian teaching in the Bible Belt, I would be fascinated to know what you understand/perceive this to be (feel free to answer privately if you like of course.) The ideas many my students have of Catholicism are... well... they're Something.
So I think there are many different views that could fall under that descriptive umbrella (not necessarily all of which are aligned) but as far as the version of Roman Catholicism conceptualized by American Protestants who Convert As Adults, I do agree with the op of that tweet (technically on bluesky but idk the terminology so I’ll call it a tweet anyway) who wrote a more expanded thread (posted below) (i.e that they think it’s an authoritarian ultraconservative movement where everyone thinks in lockstep based on the word of the pope) + that it’s seen as less of a religion and more of a sociopolitical organization (so as to excuse the actual practicing of a faith aligned with the gospels and the catechism, which is arguably inconsistent with the cruelty of ultraconservative authoritarian politics).

cannot stop rotating wl!gem in my head after that episode. encouraging pearl and impulse to go after her enemies and then gossiping with scott about them afterwards. insane behaviour. the discussion about impulse. missing secret life. fucking helllll. i'm obsessed with how dedicated she is to the anti pearl and impulse campaign. how dedicated she is to painting them as aggressors, antagonizers, going into her base and looking through her fields, when she's undeniably the one starting shit with them. that one stream clip of her saying she's going to channel breakup coldness dialogue from subnautica against pearl. iconic behaviour. i love divorce

I'm somewhat sympathetic to the whole "how can there be two spider-men at once" thing, because while I do think there are a lot of people screwing that argument as a a silencer over their real animus against the general concept of a black Spider-Man, the actual answer to the question, both in the comics and in the movie, is that there weren't two of them operating at the same time. Miles was able to adopt the title because the last guy died badly, with all the complicated emotional and interpersonal fallout that that entails. It's a major part of the original conceptual thrust. I don't think that continuities where the two co-exist are bad, to be clear, but I do feel that they're somewhat visibly motivated by a desire for marketing synergy, which is something I'll always have mixed feelings on.
