If I dropped you in a big golden clawfoot bathtub in a huge fancy bathroom and I pointed out that this special tub had a ornate gold flush handle just a little bit above the spout, how long would it take before you'd beg to be sent swirling down the drain???
I personally prefer my tubs with plugs, actually! Handles are very nice for toilets*, but when it comes to the bath, there's few things that can get me more squirmy than pulling at the chain... Teasing to yank that plug out and let me and the bathwater swirl down... pulling it taut and letting me fret and whimper as it slowly... gives... way......
*(and if you had a big ornate toilet that you insisted was a bathtub and made sure that I used while you got to use the proper tub... oh huff.... @w@)
