I'm convinced that the mating bond makes Elain FERAL. Now hear me out... the only person she treats completely different is Lucien. All the night court members were there when she was turned Fae, including Azriel, so the whole "Lucien was there during her most traumatic moment" doesn't make sense to me. I think Elain is used to being prim and proper and totally in control, and the mating bond, as we've seen with Nesta and Feyre, makes them feel the total opposite of that. It was clear to me that this was the case when Elain was pleading with Graysen ("love of her life") to take her back but still managed to say "his name is Lucien" when Graysen said he was "some Fae male". Dira keeps him around bc it seems she likes his company. And like Cin said, Dira wanted this Yorkie. If he went to go get it, it seems he knows Dira well on a personal level to get it and was happy she was happy. Guilliman strikes me as someone who probably uses a lot more vulgar language in private.
