So about that post about Mac being down bad for wukong...

So I noticed one of my most popular posts is hating on the half fried KFC so here we go again!

I do agree that a lot of the time, peeps underestimate just how down bad Mac is for the king, glad to see the bird brain is good for something and calling him out on it

So here's a little something for those who enjoy Macadoodle simping caring for once

Also I learned how to use gaussian blurs! Nice!

I made fanart/redrew some screenshots, I worked on this all day pls notice it

But yeah, when you mentioned Bai He as Cardamon and Macaque as Violet I instantly got brainrot for this scene.

The hair was A LOT of fun to draw and with a reference, it was also fun to do the background. I tried to add some LMK specific stuff in the background here and there.

(The ears aren't shown in the main panels because lets just say that Mac's hair was too long and totally not that I forgot to add it haha)

It might be different to what you originally planned seeing that if the coma = mac's death and mac isn't dead anymore whereas- I mean- um... you get the picture, I just did my own creative interpretation.

The medical equipment as well... Idk if they're supposed to be there or not but eh

I'd have Mei be Deckard bc MK is Bee, and Bee and Deckard are good friends so Mei and MK can retain best friend status in this au

Monkey King is Puppycat because they're both self righteous and chaotic in silly funky ways and have a dramatic backstory

Macaque is Violet because he has a past with Monkey King who is Puppycat, Puppycat used to be the Space Outlaw who was friends with/worked with Violet, and I like the parallel between Macaque's time spent dead and Violet's medically induced coma

Bai He (lbd vessel) is Cardamon bc Dad Macaque and also Bai He will steal your money

Red Son is Crispin for the mechanic parallel and because spicynoodles!!! I also think Crispin's clown obsession could translate to Bulls, bc he wants to appease his dad the Demon Bull King

MK is Bee bc protag obv, but also because the whole robot thing could be MK's monkey form, and his training from Monkey King could be Temp Space and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Yeaaaaaaa so to all the moots who saw my Nezha in a dress post, here's the follow up!

I've been working on this for a while now and quite happy with how it came out.

Oh and y'know how @dragzo has that lmk x vocaloid au? Y'know how Wukong is basically hatsune miku? Yeaaaa soooooo....

BTW, if you were wondering that is the Hatsune Miku 15th aniversary statue dress (>u')

I know the OG theme was strawberries so I rizzed it up just a wee bit lol

I do still appreciate @emerialyncodevenice's Peng cause that's honestly one of the only times I've liked their character: as a tired dad

And fun update ig: I just went to a lego convention yesterday!

I saw lego friends, city, ninjago, lego movie

But no monkie kid.

And under normal circumstances I would've gone and went feral there but sadly my pikachu was leaking strawberry jam and it thunderbolted my tummy so I spent most of the convention clutching my stomach in agony

I know he tries his best for MK. He tries even if he's f*cked up a lot but he does care for the boy and his subjects.

But I mean like more content of him having fluffy moments with Mk in fandom PLEASE.

I love me some sunburst duo!!! I would eat it up

And praise the lord for artists and writers who do use sunburst duo!

Listen, I love my spicynoodles, shadowpeaches and freenoodles as much as the next person

But coming from an SBI fan who used to consume so much found family daily I kinda got hungover-

I kinda wish there was more platonic or gen stuff here...

Freenoodles + Mk fam and jackfruit duo are a godsend but do tend to get overshadowed a lot.

So I decided to yeet some to the pile with this adorable duo (hopefully you can actually see them through the dark, I swear it wasn't this dim when I drew it...)

Oh and yes this was inspired by that other sunburst duo comic I will try to link if I can but give that artist some love and I hope you can enjoy this too!

figured its about time I posted SOMETHING

Other than being a professional freeloader storyteller,

I imagine Tang to be someone like a university teacher (at least in his younger days)

On occasions where Pigsy is far to busy to look after Xiaotian AND run the restaurant AND most likely do deliveries himself (if he had any-)

I imagine that Tang would take Mk to his university and I think it'd be funny if one day, he loses Mk who wanders to the lecture room waiting for Mr Tang

Mah boi has seen first handed what this job's all about!

He's studied his papa Mr Tang's methods, carefully dedicating his attention to his every word (until the next butterfly pops by)

He's bored and he shan't let these poor tall people wither away in boredom and shall only share the highest form education he was bestowed with....

...he started singing the ABCs

And bemused, the rest of the students follow him as the young professor taught with such vigor

...until Tang finally found the child, scooped a fussed Xiaotian up, apologized and started the lecture

Also bonus:

10 years old tommy debating whether or not to dye his hair or not and if so, what color to go with: brown like wil's hair or pink like techno's hair. his solution? dying some hair streaks brown, others pink and leaves some blonde to resemble phil.

phil has a mini heart attack when he sees tommy's hair, wilbur awws because now his hair looks like a bowl of neapolitan ice cream and techno just goes "...wait did you use my hair dye-"

phil: why did you do that!?

tommy: 'cuz i wanted to be like techno...! but also like wilbur. but i like to look like you already :( and since i couldn't choose which one, i decided to go for all three at once! :D

imagine wilbur gives tommy a red beanie that resembles a cherry (it has a little stem and a leaf on the top) to play into the whole 'tommy is a neapolitan ice cream' joke.

everyone gets the reference except for tommy, who is oblivious to this.

I was quite conflicted if I should colour in Wukong and Mac like in the bapc pic or just go with the simpler shadowplay aesthetic

And honestly? Quite pleased with how it came out

But I still wonder what it'd look like in a different style so you MIGHT see another version sooon!

I will admit, the trees look much better this time. Less like big broccolis and more like trees

And that's cause I used a reference this time, I based them off of peach trees and used the peach/memory flower I designed in my earlier designs for the space outlaw gang only in the shadowplay style

And praise the Lord for copy paste!

It would've taken FOREVER to draw all those itty bitty flowers, although keeping track of the copies in the layers and merging them was a nightmare.

Planets are the same as the first pic, no big deal

I gave mihou white fur cause its a popular headcanon and it looked pretty, I would assume in intimate moments like this, he'd be able to let down the glamor

Also sadly couldn't do the same for wukong cause I couldn't find a shade that looked good (I'm so sorry, wukong (T^T))

The purple clouds are inspired by the swirly purple clouds Mac uses in his shadow play.

Man I am on a roll these days!

I love this doll base for the lmk characters, I actually drew some designs for the other lmk characters in this base in a notebook and as much as I would like to post them, Idk if that'll be any time soon.

I know in the show, Mk's headband is his signature. Even since childhood, I get that but I also saw a design of kid MK with him without the headband and fell in love.

Also he has light up sketchers. Cause why not.

It was a lot of fun doing the crayon drawings and seems like red and yellow are our lil prince's favorite colors, though it was a bit difficult to do them on such a small scale and at a slanted angle.

why does Mk have random building blocks?....

Looking back, I do wish I made the toys a little more scuffed up cause while I do believe Pigsy would buy some toys and new clothes for his son the kid but I do love the idea that many of MK's old toys were hand me downs or at least second handed from Pigsy's past or even any cousins giving old toys or heck. Maybe some of Tang's university students found out their teacher has a new kid and give some old stuff to help out since Mk is a sweet kid and his appearance was quite spontaneous.

Perhaps that doll is a clone Wukong placed to keep an extra eye on the boy

BTW that love heart is NOT romantic in any way you creeps. Like how a child loves a toy, there is nothing weird happening here.

WUKONG IS HIS GODDAMN DAD/FATHER FIGURE AND IF YOU GENUINELY SHIP PEACHYNOODLES, GET OUT

I try to respect different ships and opinions. I try my best.

But we see in the show, their father-son dynamic. I know there is a ship format of mentor x student but there is a clear parental relationship here!

It just feels icky, especially when you consider the inbalance of both power and experience in any 'romantic' context

gosh, first lmk post in a while. And spicynoodles too! Blast from the past amiright?

Um so brief summary of what I've been up to:

Tests ,test, mock tests

Basically I have a sh!t tone of important tests lined up in like the following couple of months. And these are pretty important tests too

(I'm not gonna say what cause that would give away my age...sorry)

but um, don't expect any frequent updates pls. Maybe some stuff during the summer but I'll mostly be on vaccation.

But um yea, judging from my last art post, been a bit burnt out from lmk lately...

idk just some irl stuff mixed with getting really picky with what fan-content I was seeing

(No one's fault, I'm just a picky b!tch)

and less stuff I enjoyed (met with a lot of Wukong bashing as usual, mostly on tiktok this time actually, got tired of it)

so I needed to take a break. I'm dipping my toes back in, but tentatively. This is certainly far from the only lmk art I'll post but again, don't expect anything frequent

Um, WIP from like months ago.

inspired after a historical C-drama where the main leads are already engaged, girl got drunk and guy had to pick her up.

He carries her on his back and her family are taken aback by such intimacy but then the dude reveals that it was actually her who clung on even when he lets go.

Also, interesting jacket you got there Red Son, nothing interesting happened you say?

And I mean damn, like what a leap? Amirite?

Ok so well this be quite the turnabout from the last sketch um:

I included the shadows on the floor, it is called shadowalkers for a reason, and added the wee faces in them like I did for the first piece

The background was a pain in the ass and I tried a lil something something with the lighting/lens flares. Something similar to the lighting in the piece I did where they're cuddling

Now everyone might say multiply on the layers does miracles but can I just saw 'add glow' and 'glow Dodge' are my new best friends? Srsly they give that damn good zest that it needs

I had so much trouble just doing Mac's face in particular. Like the contrast between the dark scalera and light irises was too much even though I did it before and it worked then-

And like his proportions were way off even though they matched the f*cking sketch which looked fine and they didn't match up with Wukong's at all-

Then his hair looked too big and clunky like a large chunk rather than hair and cause Mk's head was blocking it, I couldn't shade correctly-

AND I WAS STARTING TO BLOODY LOOSE IT I WANTED TO PUNCH THIS LIL BI-

But then I made his head bigger and it all worked out 'u'

I will admit though, I am quite happy with how my art style has progressed over time and this just might be one of my best pieces.

Ok so I will admit I did use @maplesleep's format for this again but I wanted to compile these cakes into one drawing and what better way than one of those cute, fancy cake stands?

And the background was too cut to use, I hope you don't mind...heh

Anyways, I know the prices seem outrageous but my main justification is that you're also getting extra sugar cookies, decorations, cut fruits, sometimes kebabs/tanghulu, sometimes rock candy and extraw sweets on the side. Heck, Wukong's even has a mini stack of pancakes on top so I basically doubled the price and honestly if it was this detailed, I'd hope the price isn't too unreasonable

So what do y'all think? Would you buy a slice?
