Summary:

This film tells the story of Queen Lingyun of the Daughter Kingdom, who fell in love with the innocent Jiang Yunxuan after being possessed by the nine-tailed fox demon Hua Yuan, and saved each other. This film explores the desires of human nature. By telling the story of a fox demon who uses various means to seduce and succeed, it shows the greedy desires of most people. Jiang Yunxuan in the play shows an innocent image of a man who remains unmoved despite all kinds of temptations. Jiang Yunxuan's soul was not bewitched by the fox demon, but fell in love with the true and kind-hearted Lingyun, showing the beautiful emotions between people without greed and desire.

At the end, Jiang Yunxuan did not hesitate to sacrifice his life in order to save Lingyun. This fearless spirit of sacrifice is worthy of our praise, and it is a reflection of the beautiful side of human nature. In the film, Jiang Yunxuan's spiritual state of being free of distracting thoughts, pure and simple, and free of evil desires is the result of spiritual practice that many of us pursue throughout our lives. But in fact, this is our nature, but most people fail to resist the temptation and lose their purest nature.

Maharani Durgavati

Durgavati was the daughter of King of Bundelkhand, married to Raja dalpad of Gondwana, in Madhaya Pradesh.

Soon, tragically Raja died and Queen Durgavati with her 5 year old toddler stepped up to the throne. She managed the whole kingdom exceptionally well, as recorded by Akbar’s historian. The kingdom did not suffer any major setback even after their king died.

Gondwana was a rich kingdom, with a beautiful queen which became the target of the Mughals. They didn't wanted to simply take the kingdom under their control, the commander Asaf Khan also “wanted to touch the beauty of Gondwana”.

In 1564, Asaf Khan marched with 10,000 cavalries towards Gondwana, Rani Durgavati marched with 5,000 men to the battlefield.

She led the army well and killed about 500 enemies, she came out victorious by the end of the day, later she purposed to “surprise attack” the enemies or “Gorilla Attack” but none of the council members agreed to that.

By the next morning, Asaf Khan’s army was in a much better place and the fighting continued for 3 exhausting days. By that time only 200 of her men were left but the thought of giving up never once crossed her mind. Her bravery and courage never wavered.

During the battle, one arrow pierced her temple and another pierced her neck, causing her to lose consciousness. When she opened her eyes, the inevitable defeat was clear.

Instead of falling in the hands of men that had nothing but lust for her and would eventually throw her in Harem with other women, that previously were queens of conquered kingdoms that Mughals kept as sex slaves, she took our her dagger and killed herself to save her honor and prevent invaders from doing heinous things to her body, her martyrdom day (24 June 1564) is commemorated as “Balidan Diwas”.

The Mughal army then marched to the fort to loot it's treasure. They found staggering amount of gold pots full of gold, jewels, expensive stones etc.

When they opened a room, it was full of burnt bodies of women that commited Jauhar upon hearing the news of Rani’s defeat. These women committed Jauhar to save their honor and to prevent the Mughals from taking them as sex slaves, unfortunately 2 women were still alive, stuck behind a large wooden block that saved their lives. These two women were then taken to Akbar's court and predictably put into Harem.

Summary:

Sun Wukong (Aaron Kwok), Tang Sanzang (Feng Shaofeng), Zhu Bajie (Xiaoshenyang) and Sha Wujing (Him Law) – inadvertently enter the Womanland of Western Liang because they angered the river god, they accidentally entered the female realm of Xiliang, a nation populated by women raised to believe that men are fatally deceptive in matters of the heart. After breaking into it, everyone discovered that there were only women in this country, and there had been no men here since the founding of the country. Moreover, the country has an ancestral motto that regards men as natural enemies. Love nevertheless blossoms between Tang Sanzang and the Womanland's young queen (Zhao Liying), even though her royal preceptor (Gigi Leung) is hell-bent on sentencing the men to death. There is also a prophecy in the classics, indicating that one day, a monk from the East will break into it with a monkey, a pig, and a little blue man and the day they arrive is when the Daughter Kingdom will be destroyed.

Miss International United Kingdom 2022 National Costume

My national costume is dedicated to the women who took the first steps to allow us to take our stance in todays society. The colours of my national costume represent that of the colours used in the campaign to gain the right to vote for women. Purple for Loyalty and Dignity, White for Purity and Green for Hope. In addition to the colours, I had decided to include the crest of our late Queen, Elizabeth II, as she had helped normalise women in power through her reign over the last 7 decades. In 1918, women over the ages of 30 had won the right to vote for the first time in the United Kingdom and a decade later this had changed to women over the ages of 21. The right to vote was not an easy journey, one of Britain’s most iconic Suffragette, Emmeline Pankhurst dedicated 40 years to the cause and lost her life in the process. Women have played a significant role in todays society, though the journey continues to achieve equality in all aspects of life. To be a part of Miss International alongside 68 other sister queens from around the world; I am proud to say we are change makers that are making a difference in our respected countries.
