Cocktails I would make for class 1A (with Shinsou, minus Mineta bc I simply wouldn't, and with Monoma because I love him)

Sorry that's a particularly deranged concept, I mean this later in their teens/adulthood in that 8 year gap where they're putting up w Bakugou's begging them for money to make Deku a hero. Not when they're the baby age of like. 15. Don't drink kids. Idc really but like it's apparently not good for u. Then again what they went thru would drive me to drink even more. I was originally going to make all the cocktails in this post but I do not have all that liquor on hand and I don't love you guys enough to buy allat. (also psst I hate some of the cocktails on this list)

Iida: You may think the answer is nothing but I beg to fucking differ. He is a distinguished gentleman of society (cough cough rich bitch) and therefore I would make him a very classy Negroni. I personally do not care for vermouth and therefore am not super fond of them, but I feel like this is the level of distinguished cocktail suitable for Mr. President.

Yaoyorozu: No cocktail, a glass of dry white wine yes though. Probably a nice Sauv Blanc (my wine of choice). Classy, crisp, and wonderful. I originally had her as a red wine gal but I think a dry white suits better.

Todoroki: Dark n Stormy. This is one of my personal old standbys, and Todoroki seems like he'd be a rum guy. Ginger beer has the nice kick to it, and the layered effect jives with him. I think this is a great cocktail.

Midoriya: Tokyo Tea. Come on. Had to use Midori for his. It's only right. I actually don't really like this cocktail, it's too sweet for my tastes, but it's an incredibly sweet cocktail that packs one hell of a punch in bright green– tell me I'm wrong about this. I dare you.

Kirishima: I love him too much to give him a Bloody Mary. He'd have a Cosmo. Because much like that cocktail he was unfairly forgotten about by Horikoshi HORIKOSHI WHERE IS MY SON Infinitely fun to drink, fun to make, and always looks wonderful. Peak.

Kaminari: Carbonation is the name of the game. Kaminari seems like he'd enjoy something a little fizzy a little bubbly. And I thought about a Moscow Mule for him, but a limoncello spritz is the far better option. It's bright yellow, very summery, and very fun to drink (allegedly. Idk. I don't like sweet cocktails, as established. But I'm a good host and I think he'd like em.)

Mina: CLOVER CLUB BECAUSE IT'S PINK AND DELIGHTFUL (seriously if you make any cocktail in this list. It's a fucking delight. And it is pink and has a nice foam and a great touch of acidity. Perfect for Mina).

Sero: A Penicillin. Idk why. The vibe came to me and I think it's correct I just don't know why. It's smoky and gingery and is a great vibe for a rainy day. I like this for him.

Jirou: Espresso martini. I literally hate making these but it really suits her. They're also, much as it pains me to admit, a wonderful cocktail. But I made them once for my friends and now it's the request 24/7 and uh. Bestie they're not exactly a quick and easy drink to make. Anyway. She'd like one. I promise.

Satou: He's a sugar guy, so a piña colada would be right up his alley. Not a super quick drink to make if you're just making one, but a super easy drink to prep if you're making a batch of em, and rum is THE sugar liquor. Not a super fancy and sophisticated cocktail, but that's hardly a bad thing. It's friendly and accessible and always welcome (like his baking).

Shinsou: THE Corpse Reviver No. 2. I was saving this one for Aizawa but objectively this is correct. Absinthe rinse MANDATORY. I like using Cocci Americano Blanco instead of Lillet Blanc for this, but really both are great, I just balance out the Lillet's added sweetness with more lemon. But yes.

Monoma: Cocaine.

Tsuyu: Queens Park Swizzle. It's like a more whimsical mojito, it's light, refreshing, and literally impossible to dislike. Got a touch more depth than a mojito as well (which is fitting for Tsuyu, she's best girl, I love her dearly).

Ojirou: I am not gonna lie the extras are hard to nail down. He seems like I would give him a vodka cran and forget about him. (Even as an adult. Idk man I really don't care about him) (Sorry to the like. 2 Ojirou fans out there. I just. Do not get him very much)

Aoyama: I am NOT giving him a French 75. 1 because that's too easy and 2 because this boy is a Mai Tai if I ever saw one. Fruity and camp. And also because I made a sparkly Mai Tai (with a rim I set on fire) for my friend's birthday and I think that was the most Aoyama drink ever.

Koda: Okay so I think Koda would not be a big drinker but I would share my edibles with him. A weed gummy or two. We could make it work.

Shoji: Mezcal Paloma. Packs a punch but it's got more depth and nuance upon the second sip. Mezcal in general is a very Shoji spirit icl. Got that slightly intimidating front to it but has a lot of texture and depth beneath the surface. We love you Shoji <3

Tokoyami: I wanted to give him a Jungle Bird just because. Funny. But let's be real he's a Death in the Afternoon type of guy. And pssst here's a secret I fucking love that cocktail. Absinthe, champagne, and that's about it. The other option is the Necromancer, which is my actual favorite cocktail ever, but it's a touch too floral.

Hagakure: Capirinha. A mostly clear cocktail that genuinely is nearly impossible to screw up. Tastes lovely, is surprisingly distinct for a lime + liquor cocktail, and is an all around vibe on a hot summer day. Felt right for Hagakure, she's one of the lighter characters.

Uraraka: Tbh I'd just share a beer with her, she seems like the type to be down to chill with a beer and some bar snacks, but if ANYONE deserves the honor of getting a French 75, it's her. Friendly and bubbly, but packs one HELL of a punch. I love you Ochako. You deserved SO MUCH BETTER (I'm still so fucken distraught at what happened with her and Toga man. Her as a quirk counselor was the only good bit in the epilogue.)

All Might: is probably getting a glass of warm milk at the bar lbr but he seems like a Long Island Iced Tea type of guy (and that fits with Midoriya's in a very cute way now that I think about it. Damn. Didn't even do that on purpose but I'm happy abt it now).

Aizawa: Sazerac! The licorice notes are really strong in the ones I make, and an absinthe cocktail fits for him.

Bakugou: Is getting water. He would simply never do any drug and would probably freak at the concept of caffeine (I do not care about canon if it contradicts me) (He went to bed at 8pm as a teen that boy is probably never setting foot in a bar much less getting drunk bless him) (He has important things to do) (And money to save to finance his sugar baby I mean rival)

Queen’s Park Swizzle !

2 oz. aged rum

0.75 oz. lime juice

0.75 oz. demerara syrup

8-10 mint leaves

Add mint leaves to a tall glass. Add simple syrup and gently muddle mint into the syrup. Add crushed ice two-thirds or so full and agitate (either swizzle back and forth with a swizzle stick or a bar spoon, or else just stir) until the glass begins to frost. Add crushed ice to fill and decorate the top with two to three dashes of Angostura Bitters. Garnish with a mint sprig and serve with a straw.

Rum and Honey Prawn and Avocado Skewers

Jules is home at the moment, so I reckon the three of us watching Death in Paradise together is reason enough to throw a little Caribbean Feast, especially when Sergeant Naomi Thomas is returning on her home island of St. Barnabas for her best friend’s wedding! And these Rum and Honey Prawn and Avocado Skewers are a delicious way to start the celebrations!

Ingredients (serves 3):

half-a-thumb piece fresh ginger

1/2 lime

1 heaped teaspoon honey

1 tablespoon Ginger and Lime Rum

15 beautiful prawns, steamed and cooled

1 ripe avocado

Peel ginger. Finely grate ginger, and spoon into a bowl. Grate in the zest of the lime halve, and thoroughly squeeze in its juice. Add honey and Ginger and Lime Rum.

Peel prawns and add them to the bowl. Toss well, with clean hands, to coat in ginger, lime, honey and Rum.

Place the bowl in the refrigerator, and allow prawns to marinate, at least a couple of hours (the longer, the better!), tossing them every now and then.

Peel and halve avocado. Cut its flesh into large enough dices.

Arrange a Rum and honey prawn and an avocado dice onto each of fifteen skewers, and place them onto serving tray. Chill until serving time.

Serve Rum and Honey Prawn and Avocado Skewers alongside Féroce d'Avocat, Fried Plantain, and Accras de Morue, and chilled Planters Punch or Queens Park Swizzles!

“He said he was building something.” El told everyone when she had calmed down enough. “That it was all for me.”

“Building something? Is he talking about the flayed?” Max wondered.

“He must be. He said something similar after the crash.” Y/N said as she rested her head in her hands.

“So, he’s building an army, just like we thought.” Lucas started pacing back and forth behind the sofa.

“Yeah, but he’s not building this army to spread.” Mike said.

“He’s building it to stop Eleven.” Will added.

Mike nodded. “Last year, El closed the gate on him. I have a feeling that really pissed him off.”

“Like, royally.” Lucas agreed as he stopped pacing.

“And the mind flayer now knows that she’s the only thing that can stop him.” Mike said. “But if she’s out of the way…”

“Game over.” Lucas finished.

“He also said, that he was… going to kill all of you.” El’s gaze drifted across everyone in the room, remembering everything they had all done to help her over the last couple of years.

“Yeah, well, that’s nice.” Max said as everyone else shared worried looks.

A faint noise in the distance caught Nancy’s attention and she stood up and walked over to the window. It sounded again, like faint screeching, but was difficult to distinguish from the fireworks they were letting off at the fair. “Do you guys hear that?”  

The others sat up straighter and strained their ears to see of they could hear what Nancy was hearing in amongst the fireworks.

“It’s just the fireworks.” Jonathan said after a moment of listening.

Nancy didn’t seem convinced as she spun back around to face them. “Billy… When he told you this, it was here, in this room?”

“Yeah.” Y/N said as El nodded, and then it clicked in Y/N’s mind. “He knows where we are.” She shot to her feet as fear started to spread through the room.

“Yeah, he knows we’re here.” Will’s hand drifted to the back of his neck.

“We’ve got to go.” Y/N said, as she pulled her keys out of her pocket.

Nancy grabbed her keys and then followed Y/N to the door. They walked straight out with Jonathan and the kids hot on their heels. They made it down to where the cars were parked, the fireworks periodically illuminating everything around them in various colours, when they noticed movement at the top of the road. It looked exactly like Will’s drawing from last year; towering with huge legs, like a spider. It was ripping up trees as it came towards them and was moving very fast.

“Back inside!” Y/N grabbed Nancy and ushered the kids and Jonathan back towards the cabin. “El, I don’t suppose Hopper keeps any guns here?”

“In the shed.” EL pointed over to it.

Jonathan ushered the kids inside as Nancy went to grab the shotgun from the shed and Y/N grabbed the wood cutting axe. Y/N walked back inside to see the kids were blocking the windows with tables and chairs, moving bookcases and shelves in front of doors, and trying to make the cabin as secure as they could. When Nancy had come back in, Y/N and Jonathan pushed the sofa up on its edge and barricaded the door.

“Hey, get away from the windows!” Nancy called to Mike as they all formed a circle in the centre of the room, waiting and wondering where the first attack would come from.

The lights started flickering as the cabin started to shake. It was soft at first, just the lamp shades rocking, but then it started to get harder, things started falling off shelves and everything started to rattle.

“It’s close.” Will said, as the trees directly outside of the cabin started creaking.  

A mug fell off the rack on the wall and shattered in the floor, causing them all to jump. They could tell it was getting nearer but with all the windows boarded up, they had no idea where it actually was and that was setting them even more on edge.

Then, all of a sudden, everything stopped and it went quiet.

“Where’d it go?” Max asked, voicing everyone’s concern as they all looked at each other.

Suddenly, one of the creature’s arms came through the wall in the corner near the bookcase. They all cried out in surprise and jumped away from it as it moved further into the room. The end of the arm looked like one of those claw grabbers they have in amusement parks. It went to grab at Max, Eleven and Mike but Y/N swung the axe and connected with it. She pulled it out and slammed it down again and again until the arm moved back. Before she could swing the axe again, the arm swung, knocking her and Jonathan back into one of the cabinets. The axe went flying as they both fell to the floor. Jonathan grabbed Y/N’s arm and pulled her back as it started coming at them again.

Nancy fired the shot gun, drawing it away from Y/N and Jonathan and towards her. She reloaded as it came towards her and kept shooting it, ripping off chunks of flesh as she did. But then the gun jammed. She tried to unjam it as she moved backwards but it wouldn’t budge. Her back hit the wall and she closed her eyes, preparing for impact, but it never came. She slowly opened her eyes to see Eleven using her powers to pull it back.

The creature was shrieking but Eleven didn’t let up and with a flick of her wrist she severed the end from the rest of the arm. The creature pulled its arm back through the hole in the wall.

“Holy shit.” Max said.

They didn’t get to take a breath though, because another one shot through the wall, straight at El. She held her arm up and stopped it as it tried to grab her as another shot through the opposite wall. She stopped that one too as the others looked on, feeling helpless. The creature was shrieking as it fought against her. El looked around at her friends and yanked her arms back into her body. Both of the creature’s arms severed just as the first had, and they both retreated.

El was panting hard but before she could react, a much larger arm came through the ceiling and grabbed her ankle. It pulled back and El hit the floor before it started to lift her towards the hole in the ceiling and, to everyone’s horror, the creature’s mouth. Mike raced forward and grabbed both of her hands before she got too far off the ground. El started screaming from the strain and the claws ripping into the skin of her ankle as Y/N, Jonathan, Max and Will all ran forward to help Mike. Nancy started reloading the shotgun as Mike screamed at everyone to pull harder.

“Nancy shoot it!” Jonathan called out; his voice strained from the effort.

Nancy finished loading and started shooting. It seemed to anger the creature more than anything else.

“Come on! Lucas!” Max screamed as he looked on from the corner.

That seemed to snap him out of his daze. He grabbed the axe Y/N had dropped as Nancy kept shooting. He jumped up onto a side table and swung the axe at the arm. It connected and the creature shrieked so, he pulled it back out and swung again, and again, and again. At the same time Nancy kept shooting, El was still screaming, and the others were still pulling her back towards the ground. Lucas swung the axe one last time, severing the arm, and El and the others fell to the floor.

“El, El? You okay?” Mike asked. EL just nodded, too tired to talk.

“Holy shit.” Y/N breathed out as she noticed the end of the arm was not only still attached to El’s leg but was also still moving. She sat up and reached for it as Mike followed her lead. They looked at each other before they both grabbed it and yanked it off. El screamed as it tore a hole in her leg. Y/N threw the arm away from them and watched as it crawled back outside.

The creature shrieked again and started to push its head through the hole in the ceiling; it’s rows and rows of razor-sharp teeth on full display. Nancy went to reload the shotgun, but El shakily got to her feet with determination written clearly across her face. She screamed as she shot out both of her hands and started tearing the monsters head apart. The monster was shrieking and fighting but with one final push, El ripped its head in half.

“Go, go, go.” Y/N ushered the boys out as her and Max grabbed El.

“C’mon, c’mon, go!” Jonathan ripped the sofa off the door before opening it and making sure everyone got out.

Nancy and Jonathan got the boys in the station wagon as Y/N and Max got El into the Mustang. The creature was still shrieking and stumbling as both of the cars tore out of the driveway.

Her name is "Sugar" Batida Paloma. She's an heiress, but finds it amusing, playing the game and vying for the throne can be so much fun if you know what you're doing. That being said she doesn't gaf off her duties, but does enjoy running her couple of high class club.

One of Her nicknames is 'butterfly daiquri' though people tend to just call her Sugar. she tends to use this nick name so she can create side funds and stuff for the bars and clubs she runs.

Personality wise she knows she's a queen but isn't the type to rub it in anyone's face. However she has standards.if you want something from her you better damn well impress her.

Her fancy club that is more of a high class place is called : Kir Royale

Queen's Park Swizzle Cocktail Recipe !

INGREDIENTS

2 oz rum

1 oz lime juice

.5 oz Demerara Simple Syrup

8 mint leaves

6 – 8 dashes Angostura Aromatic Bitters

INSTRUCTIONS

Muddle mint leaves in lime juice and simple syrup, then fill glass with crushed ice.

Pour rum over crushed ice and swizzle well until glass is ice-cold and frosted.

Pack glass with more crushed ice and top with Angostura aromatic bitters.

Garnish with mint.

Queens Park Swizzle

My landlady in Toronto, Linda, is from Trinidad. And as I’ve been away from my adoptive city for far too long, I miss her and her daughter Racheal heaps. I miss our conversations when we’re both in the kitchen, cooking our meals. Or enjoying a bottle of sparkling wine on a sunny day. Or watching Home Alone or old variety programmes on telly on cold ones... I’ve only ever been to two Caribbean islands, but these were such wonderful trips, I’ve always wanted to return; Jamaica has always been a dream, my Dad having worked with so many reggae singers who call it home, and after meeting Linda, Trinidad is on my wish list too! Until I get there, and because the hotel where this cocktail was invented closed decades ago, I’m sipping a Queens Park Swizzle now, in the sunshine, thinking of dear friends and future trips... Happy Saturday!

Ingredients (serves 1):

a dozen to 15 large ice cubes

8 to 10 leaves fresh mint + a sprig for garnish

22.5 millilitres/3/4 fluid ounce (1 1/2 tablespoon) Simple Syrup

1 small, ripe lime

60 millilitres/2 fluid ounces (4 tablespoons) good quality Caribbean Rum (I used Ginger and Lime Rum)

4 dashes Angostura bitters

Crush the ice (if you’re doing this by hand with an ice crusher, it may take some time, so keep crushed ice cool in the freezer whilst you go through the dozen or so ice cubes!)

Tear the mint leaves into a Collins or other tall glass. Add Simple Syrup, and muddle thoroughly with a muddler.

Thoroughly squeeze the juice of the whole lime, and pour into the glass, along with the Rum. Muddle again to mix.

Spoon in crushed ice until it half fills the glass, and swizzle with a bar spoon until frost forms on the outside of the glass. Fill the glass with remaining crushed ice, until it comes slightly over the top of the rim.

Top with 4 dashes Angostura bitters. Garnish with mint sprig.

Enjoy Queen’s Park Swizzle immediately, preferably lounging in a deck chair in the sun...
