Final Scene Friday!

I cherish our traditions, but while I was looking for a fidget, I was idly playing with alliteration in my head and it occurred to me that this could be a fun new game.

I’m calling it “Final Scene Friday” as opposed to my initial inclination, “Final Shot Friday“, because there is plenty in each final scene to choose from, but we’d all wind up posting the same two or three photos if I limited it to only final shots.

Anyway, I selected a couple of unexpected ones to choose between, but ultimately, I just had to go with my emotions.

Tried to fix my existential crisis by framing some nice pictures and putting them up on the wall, but both frames fell down and tne glass on one of them chipped and I'm here now on the verge of tears

I hate this place I'm renting now, I'm unable to feel at home here. Everything that Tony says, speaks out into the silence between them - occasionally interrupted by that tennis ball colliding with the opposite wall with a dull thud - hits so very much home that Stephen can basically taste it at the back of his tongue; He swallows, takes a soft inhale of air, bright gaze watching that ball bounce back and forth as it is being thrown and then caught by a metal hand that hasn't been there before.

The whole battle against Thanos was trauma-inducing, definitely so, and all of them are tired. Exhausted. Just want to sit down and not have anyone talk about it for forever, really. A sentiment that Strange understands oh so well.

"---It has taken a lot of us. Perhaps more than we were really able to give.", are the soft-spoken words that leave the sorcerer then, thoughtful, accompanied by a bright gaze continuing to take in the sight of the other.

"And yet we had to give. We had to give and, in return, take from others. Make sacrifices against our will." Many have died, others have gotten badly injured. Stephen is still carrying the weight of having seen so, so many futures on his shoulders, the sensation of having watched everyone die so many times... It's hard to carry sometimes. A burden a sorcerer like him has to take with him wherever he goes.

He saw Tony die thousands of times, for example. Lived through so many alternate futures and realities that, sometimes, he wonders if this is truly the real one where he belongs...

"We did it, yes, but... at what cost? ---I get it. I understand. I do ask myself the same, and... I do think the same. Wished for things to be different. For... people to be quiet. To stop talking about it."

Lips purse and Strange blinks, gaze trailing away as he inhales, exhales, folds his hands onto the small of his back.

"I am glad that... you're here, though. Alive. And despite having been afraid - just like me, I've been oh-so-afraid - you made it. You were very brave."

THEYRE NOT!!! ITS SO IMPORTANT THAT YOU GUYS KNOW THAT SPARROWTUFT AND RAVENSTAR ARE IN NO WAY RELATED!!

I made an admittedly bad choice on my end when selecting two mainly grey cats when starting this and also when I started this I hadn't really designed many warrior cats before so their character shapes kind of look similar. Which I've tried to combat all this as much as I could with changing the designs in subtle ways as I go. The thought of people thinking they're related has crossed my mind tho, bc their shades of dark grey are extremely similar (grabbed the colors directly from their sprites).

I have to tell you guys, so many of the cats that are going to be in Featherclan end up being monochrome with their base being dark grey ish and I just got bad luck on that. I will try and make it so clear when anyone is related, but SPARROWTUFT AND RAVENSTAR ARE NOT!!!!!!!!!!
