1976 townhouse condo unit for sale in Warren, VT. Located on Dimetro Rd., the building is named "Dimetrodon" like a big ol' dinosaur. 3bds, 1ba, $350k + $325mo. HOA.
Quite the interesting condo layout.
It certainly gets lots of natural light.
What is that equipment under the sink? It looks like some kind of a radio.
Have you ever seen cabinetry like this in a kitchen?
Such an interesting kitchen. This end cabinet looks like it was made from an air duct.
The whole kitchen looks like it was cobbled together DIY style.
The built-in bench runs clear into the kitchen for plenty seating. The table can be as big or as small as you need.
This must be the Dimetrodon.
Some stairs going up to the next level.
A desk fits nicely in this corner on the landing.
Very interesting architectural features going every which way.
Can't make out what this says, but the floor is oak.
There are many levels to this home. Look at the stick wall- that's an interesting feature, and the drape going thru the railing on the stairs.
I counted 4 staircases in this area, alone.
Here we have a bed that looks like it's on a boat.
Smallish primary bedroom features a platform bed, sliders to a terrace, and an artzy stick wall of built-in clothing storage.
Down some stairs there's a small office.
The single bath includes the washer/dryer.
The 3rd bedroom has a full-sized elevated bed with lots of built-in shelving.
Look at that, it's in the tower and has a door to the rooftop deck.
The deck overlooks the garden.
Interesting. There's also a garden shed. The lot that the building is on is 15 acres.
The rear of the home- the deck could belong to one of the other condos.
Back door to this condo, Unit #5.

Lisa Frankenstein Filming Locations
“It is true, we shall be monsters, cut off from all the world; but on that account we shall be more attached to one another.” ― Mary Shelley, Frankenstein
As promised, here are some of the filming locations for Lisa Frankenstein. As I just saw Kathryn Newton at Spooky Empire in Orlando this past weekend, I decided to stalk filming locations for some of her cooler movies. Or you can just watch the video I made, which covers all the locations but it goes into much less detail:
youtube
I found most of the locations on my own, but then received a location list from a person on the film's production team which confirmed the ones I'd already found and gave me the ones I was missing. Big thank you to that person!

***Spoilers below***
We'll start with Lisa's home which is located at 2552 Cypress Lawn Dr, Marrero, LA 70072. The shed in the back yard for the tanning booth is really part of the property, & can just be seen from the street (circled in red in second image).

Now, if you go there, remember, THIS IS PRIVATE PROPERTY. Perfectly fine to admire it from the street, but do not trespass, do not knock on the door, do not ask for a tour, & do not ask if Lisa is home. Please. Now, if the folks living there say 'Hey' & invite you in when they see you in the street taking selfies with the house, that's another thing entirely - but otherwise, low profile it.
Although they filmed a little bit inside the real house, at least for the scenes where Creature first arrives, most of the house interiors were filmed on a sound stage which I know thanks to Zelda Williams posting this photo:

And that sound stage is The University of New Orleans Nims Center Studio located at 800 - 824 Distributors Row in New Orleans. I know this because of this picture from a behind the scenes video showing the entire cast & crew taking a group photo with two distinct architectural features circled. The next image is a Google street view of the same location with those features also circled.

Per the locations list, the party house Lisa & Taffy go to early in the film is located at 12565 Patterson Rd, New Orleans, LA 70131, which I've confirmed via location detail on Google maps:

And the high school is Belle Chase high school at 8346 LA-23, Belle Chase, LA 70037, which I've also confirmed via architectural detail:

The exteriors for Bachelor's Grove Cemetery & the woods around it, the wooded paths, & the bench scenes all take place in Brechtel Park, which is located in the Algiers neighborhood of New Orleans.
The park offers roads for driving scenes as well as thick woodland with vines & dense ground cover for the cemetery set - which, sadly, was entirely fake. Below is the exact location of Bachelor's Grove.

Bachelor's Grove is located at GPS coordinates 29.9100534 -90.0124431. The easiest way to get there is to take an asphalt sidewalk that you'll find about 100 feet to the right of the entrance. That sidewalk will take you around the north edge of the park and then turn left (south) where you will look for the 2nd marked trail. Follow that trailfor about 50 feet and you'll find a second marked tree, which I call the Twisted Tree, and you're in Bachelor's Grove.

Moving along, the scene at 1:17:37 in the film where Creature goes to retrieve Janet's (Lisa's step-mom's) car and kills the mean old man who is harassing the kid who can't start a lawn mower, was filmed at the south dead end of Dede Street in Marrero, LA at GPS 29.855776, -90.093451.

Rather pleased with myself for finding that one - not easy.
Creature then returns to just outside Bachelor's Grove, which again was filmed in Brechtel Park, with precise location circled in the third image.

Lisa & Taffy arrive there & Lisa psychs herself up to go into the cemetery to kill Creature at GPS 29.906104, -90.009096

This is still in Brechtel Park, they just moved the cars about 30 feet to the west & spun the camera around - the dead giveaways are those posts along the road & the two small hills in the background.
Lisa then runs down a wide, woodland path.

This photo of one of Brechtel Park's wide, wooded paths is the same path, located at GPS 29.908912, -90.011958.

And here's that spot circled below:

When Dale, Lisa's dad (played by Joe Chrest, who also plays the Wheeler's dad on Stranger Things), & Taffy visit Lisa's grave at the end, they are standing in the southern section of Carrollton Cemetery in New Orleans, at GPS 29.947097, -90.121813.
The reason they used this location is because Carrollton is one of the few New Orleans cemeteries that has a large section where all the graves are below ground, as this movie is supposed to be taking place near Chicago.
As for how I know they used this specific location, I have a wine bottle shaped tombstone to thank for that. In the below image, we see that odd tombstone from the front.

And here we see it from the back, as I wasn't able to get a clear image of it from the same perspective of the above image:
Also rather proud of that find.
And the final scene on the bench is also in Brechtel Park at the location circled on the map, GPS 29.909290, -90.010784.

So the only significant filming location I can't find is Michael's red brick colonial, but whatever. Found Michael's house, too!

Anyway, here's to hoping we all find that special someone who was reanimated just for us. 🦇🖤🦇

MY VERY BIG DRAGONS PROJECT. @vellatra asked for an AU in which everything worked out better for the Goldoans and they live a happy life, so I jumped at the chance to draw some of my favourite characters. I realised that the Goldoans clothing are very loosely inspired by manchurian clothes, with a mix of the POR/RD Euro-fantasy style, and a lot of capes. And as it turns out, Soren's magewear already looks very similar to that ;D (KITA SENRI DID YOU PLAN THIS. I'M READY TO BELIEVE THAT YOU DID) so I just added gold trimming and a more obvious side collar. Ena and Rajaion's baby's clothes are inspired by manchu baby photos. I kept parts of Almedha's original design, but gave her the cape that all Goldoan royals have, and eliminated the veil that gave her the whole WEEPING WIDOW look. Architecture based loosely on the meeting ground we see in POR, because we don't get to see anything of Goldoa otherwise. WHICH IS A CRYING SHAME I TELL YOU................!!

Death Valley Junction - March 2021. I stopped off at the legendary Amargosa Opera House & Hotel and grabbed some photos on my way to Death Valley National Park.
1) Blue door at the Amargosa Opera House & Hotel
2) My car parked off of CA-127 (aka Death Valley Rd.) near Tecopa, California
3) View from my side mirror of the hills in the background with dappled light
4) Death Valley Junction Historic District sign
History: The Amargosa theater was part of a company town designed by architect Alexander Hamilton McCulloch and constructed in 1923–25 by the Pacific Coast Borax Company. The U-shaped complex of Spanish Colonial Revival architecture style adobe buildings included company offices, employees' headquarters, a dormitory, and a 23-room hotel with a dining room, lobby, and store. At the northeast end of the complex was a recreation hall used as a community center for dances, church services, movies, funerals, and town meetings.

Converted 1830 former General Store in Palisades, NY. 3bds, 2ba, 2,705sqft, $849k. (Recently reduced $50k)
They repainted it, this is the color, now.
It has a nice lantern out front.
And, stained glass windows.
Cute potbelly stove.
Nice, they left the display piece. And, there's another cabinet next to the stove.
I can't tell if this door is original, but it's great either way.
Look at the original cook stove in the kitchen. Wow, it looks like it's actually in the wall. Why didn't they make the kitchen up here?
It's downstairs and very modern.
Two architectural salvage stained glass windows.
This looks like a family room with access to the yard. It has a nice newer heat stove.
New shower room with laundry.
Bd. #1. Nicely finished original flooring.
Bd. #2 looks like it has a walk-in closet or small office.
Bathroom door.
New 3pc. bath.
This might be the primary bedroom.
Side hall entrance with a closet.
This is cute- a brick path and an arbor.
Patios in the back of the house. There are a lot of paned doors.
Pond in the side yard.
5,663sqft lot.

Guardian Angel Cathedral. Las Vegas Strip, 1963.
Kodachrome, Vintage Las Vegas Collection
The church was built on land deeded by United Resort Hotels, the holding company of Moe Dalitz and partners, owners of Desert Inn and Stardust. Seven other Strip hotels donated the construction funds. Architect Paul R. Williams and associate architect Claude H. Coyne attended the groundbreaking ceremony on Nov. 17, '62. The church opened October 2, 1963.
The plans for the cathedral, then called St. Viator’s Guardian Angel Shrine, were first publicized in Fall ‘60 with different rendering of the cathedral (below). The final design closely resembles architect Felix Candela’s Medalla de la Virgen Milagrosa Church, Mexico City, ‘54.
The cathedral's exterior and interior mosaics, murals, and stained glass windows, were created by Edith and Isabel Piczek from ‘65 to ‘77, at which time the shrine was rechristened Guardian Angel Cathedral. The pylon and cross were added circa '70s or later. New material was added to the rooftop circa '80s.
In the 90s the cathedral survived a major widening and re-routing of Desert Inn Rd. At that time, the original section of Desert Inn Rd was turned into the cathedral's driveway. In the early 00s the cathedral survived an effort by Steve Wynn to buy the property.
“Wynn has confirmed ... He not only offered to buy the Guardian Angel Cathedral across the Desert Inn arterial but the deal included building a new one. During the design process for the $2.6 billion Wynn Las Vegas, Wynn envisioned a solution to a parking lot problem. He coveted the church site, which includes office for the Diocese of Las Vegas, for employee parking. ‘I sent someone to Rome. I had Sig Rogich help me on it,’ Wynn said. The Vatican abstained … Wynn ended up building a parking garage next to the first of his hotels.” - Norm Clarke. Vegas Confidential. Las Vegas Review-Journal, 11/30/2008.

First published rendering of Guardian Angel, 10/2/60.

The architecture of today being finally sleeping after 43 hours waking up feeling so amazing addison rae shower and hair tone watching broad city with the randoms who were at my house this morning didi to the airpoor which was actually chill cos was vaguely tipsy from a premix margarita I found in my bed? and ket. So I was like having the most beautiful fucking didi ever and the guy was a king tbh not that he did anything to justify that I was just euphoric. Saw in daylight the redevelopment of footscray rd/m2 area. That drive to the airport tho. Kinda invalidates the airport train unless it takes the same route it's really pretty actually. K so get to the airport and it's on instantly because idk it's hard to explain how bleak melbourne airport is tbh... Terminal 4 chile. I just chilled in the smoking spot for a bit until I rendered enough of my mind to go inside and I didn't have check in bags so went thru security and that's when the aforementioned went down. And after it I was like wait I'm fine and went for a walk and had an iced long black from mcdonalds. Then went to the boarding gate and was like in the last 10 people which I luv 💞 because it relationally makes everyone else on the flight more perceptive of you. Ego here... But I sat down and idk what was kicking in maybe the residual nerve gas they duct into the cabin. Idk I just feel like since I've lost weight and just my general appearance people are just clocking me constantly and it's not to say I'm like good looking it's actually that I look weird and they don't understand what's been conveyed. So after I get stared down by a plane full of derros I'm sat down in an aisle seat. Man comes and is my middle seat neighbour and I seriously considered chatting but I did a good deed for him involving his bag. The converse of homophobic microaggression vibes is slipping under the radar with how messily my belongings were that I left under the seat of the person in front of me cos the guy flight attendants either avoid looking at me or pretend to be doing something or whatever or like. I'll be waiting to piss and they won't shut the fuck up making conversation so what is the truth. * Vapes in the bathroom *. But I fell asleep after 5 mins and woke up to order a beer for in flight narrative and to diffuse the queer aura. Then fell asleep clenching a beer and woke up and we landed. Then my mum came got me and drove me home and forgot how annoying she was but I'm trying to be nice cos idek why. Because I'm here and I'm around her tbh! So got home my brother and his kids and my sister were there everyone kinda getting on my whole nerve so I just hung out with my niece and nephew so cute they like love sitting on my lap and they are really affectionate which is super disarming cos I'm like. Reconsidering my reproduction/parenting aversion. And then my brother and mum had a huge screaming match about idk what and I was like. I'm protecting the children. But even the kids are becoming aware of like how fucked our family is I can't it's depressing. I made loom band bracelets for an hour lol. Then walked around the garden at night frosty asf with my mum and it actually gagged me how things I'd planted in like november as small like. You'll get this if you know horticulture but like $12.99-$14.99 level shrubs and vines and stuff have gone apeshit (will post pics) and just generally forget mid to late autumn is the prettiest season for flowers not even contrarian just fr. And I guess late winter too. Then went to a lookout and saw aurora and I was like hating life because there were yuck tourists everywhere. French tourists even ewwww. Went home continued to feel like dying now having a tea while my mind body and soul scream at me to render some weed
