“WHATCHU DOIN’ TODAY, MA?” Your boyfriend asked you as he rummaged through his closet for something. You gave him a light shrug, eyes not looking up from your Instagram feed, “Probably finna take a nap and order food. I don’t feel good.”

You watch Miles pick out a pair of cargos, holding them up for you to see, “Yes or no?”

“They’re cute,” you reply somberly, “Where you goin’, anyway?”

Miles doesn’t respond to your question immediately. Instead, he just continues to search for a top and a pair of shoes to wear with his pants. You get irritated, “Miles. I know you hear me.”

“When’s the last time you washed yo hair?” He questioned as you felt oil dabble against your scalp. He’s giving you two braids, just like him, but you’ll probably end up taking the ends out and doing something else to it.

When you arrived, you walked closely next to Miles as Starboy by The Weeknd blasted through the speakers. People were scattered everywhere, girls on couches laid up next to men who wore sunglasses inside. You shook the anxiety out of your limbs as you watched your boyfriend greet people you’ve never laid eyes on. The two of you settled on a couch, isolated from most of the crowd. Miles laid concerned eyes on you, “You good? You been actin’ weird ever since we got here.”

He wants to, but he also wants to give you a little space.

The circle eventually breaks up and you feel a pair of hands on your waist, hands you immediately recognize. You giggle as you hear him whisper close to you, “Wanna bounce?”

You hum questionably, “And go where?”

Miles’ hands trace against your waist, ghosting your figure until he gets to the curve of your bum. He buries his head in your neck and you can practically feel him smirk against your warm skin, “My place.”
