◟ ㅤᡣ𐭩ㅤㅤ ݁.﹒ finally wrote sum icky stepbro!rafe . !!! lmk what y'all think. 🧸♡ྀི
Tumblr media
"what?" rafe asks with a curious tilt of his head, keeping his voice soft and gentle, trying not to spook you away, wanting to keep you close, as close as he's able.
you glance down, playing with a loose string off of the hem of your babydoll pink sundress, cheeks hot and throat feeling like you were feeling suffocated, your doe-like eyes fluttering and blinking tears away.
"you love me, don't you?" he continues to press, hiding away his growing rage and lust, at least, he thinks he is—highly emotional, his blue eyed gaze is piercing into you, making you squirm on your bed, blood rushing into your ears, making your head feel cloudy, dreamlike.
"y-yeah," you mumble after another minute, shyly and bashful, nodding gently and finally looking up at him, catching him already staring down at you, his steel blue eyes undressing you, his lips slightly parted as he imagines your nude form, and it's like he couldn't believe you were in front of him, sitting so prettily, so angelic and perfect and his.
"then... yea, a'ight," rafe nods once to reassure himself, licking his lips and scratching the underneath of his sharp jaw, his heart feeling like it was in his throat, and at any moment he'd suffocate to death—but he couldn't help it, you made him feel these feelings, these feelings that are so new and powerful and so utterly precious, like you, his little stepsister.
"yeah, yea... you're my girl," he confirms casually, moving to walk over and kneel down before you, placing both of his large, calloused hands on your smooth, silky bare knees, feeling your soft, sun-kissed skin, and he can smell the coconut lotion you'd applied after your shower earlier, making his loins feel like they were aching for release—he wanted you, desperately.
then, rafe gives you a small, knowing smile, as if knowing some secret you don't, before he leans down and presses a soft, open-mouthed kiss to each of your pillowy thighs, wanting to trail up further, but now wasn't the time.
"when you're finished getting all dolled up for me, come downstairs," he orders you suddenly, already standing and moving to exit your bedroom.
"are we going somewhere?" you ask innocently, voice shy and sweet, a happy, demure smile on your glossy lips, making rafe want nothing more than to fuck your throat, to make you choke on his cock, to make you beg him for it, for him.
and oh, you sweet girl, so trusting of your big stepbrother, your naïveté was something so precious to him, so special, something he would need to protect from being ruined by everyone else in this cruel, rotten world.
"yea... yea, kid," he comments offhandedly, pulling out his phone and typing out a quick text, canceling his meeting with barry. "don't worry your pretty little head about it," he drawls teasingly, giving you a small, lazy smirk over his shoulder as he continues walking out, "you're gonna love it, i promise."

I believe that the discussions around Cinderella (both the fairytale and various adaptions like the Disney film) needs some nuance. Yes, the interpretation of Cinderella as a young girl trapped in an abusive environment who is saved by her own kindness, and that sometimes it's OK to get help from other people. And 1955 Disney's versions of Cindy does exercise some agency despite being a more passive character, like saving the mice who end up helping her.
But there are real problematic aspects of the Cinderella tale: the evil stepsisters (especially in the Disney movie) fulfill sexist stereotypes like being vain, materialistic, spoiled and "bitchy" and being the only other female characters that the story focuses on, it creates a "madonna whore" complex/"not like other girls" thing. And unlike Cindy who is perfectly conventionally attractive the stepsisters are "ugly" with big noses and feet which enforces the idea that "beauty equals goodness".
On top of that, society expects women to be humble, docile and do things without complaints, and if they fall outside these expectations they're seen as "bitchy".
I think that a feminist adaption of Cinderella should explore how the "evil stepsisters" are victims as well, because despite being spoiled rotten they are still women trapped in a sexist system where they're forced to marry and fulfill impossible standards to survive in society.
YESSSSSS ^^^
honestly now im just thinking of disney's cinderella 2 and 3; we all talk about how 3 was a masterpiece of film but the anastasia short in 2 was like. really impactful in the lil details. how the stepsisters straighten up immediately when their mother enters, how cinderella flinches when tremaine raises her voice, that really adds up to how powerful it is when anastasia bonds with cinderella for the first time and finds the courage to stand up to her mom. and the lingering shot of drizella at the end, just staring in shock at ana? like cinderella 2 was a cashgrab made for babies but that short had some serious work put into it and with 3 expanding that and giving anastasia agency and working with her bond with cindy like ahhhhhhhh
what were we talking about. right nuance. ok so yeah you're correct

Review: Lisa Frankenstein (2024)
Lisa Frankenstein (2024)
Rated PG-13 for violent content, bloody images, sexual material, language, sexual assault, teen drinking and drug content
Tumblr media
<Originally posted at https://kevinsreviewcatalogue.blogspot.com/2024/02/review-lisa-frankenstein-2024.html>
Score: 3 out of 5
Lisa Frankenstein is a vibes movie. Despite having been heavily marketed on the fact that it was written by Diablo Cody, the writer of Jennifer's Body (who has said that the two films take place in the same universe), her screenplay is actually one of the film's weak links, falling apart in the third act as the plot starts to get weird and disjointed in a way that left me wondering just how many scenes got rewritten or left on the cutting room floor. No, it's the cast and director Zelda Williams (daughter of Robin) who put this movie over the top, crafting a film that feels like if a young Tim Burton directed Weird Science in the best possible way. (In the interview with Cody that the Alamo Drafthouse showed before the film, she cited both Weird Science and Edward Scissorhands as inspirations, alongside Bride of Frankenstein and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, and I'm not surprised.) It's at its best as a pure comedy, one that sends up its nostalgic '80s setting to the point of farce and pushes the PG-13 rating as far as it can go. I'm not surprised that, much like Jennifer's Body did in its initial run, this movie failed to find its audience in theaters (though releasing it on Super Bowl weekend probably didn't help), but while I don't think it'll be treated as an outright classic in ten years' time, I do believe it'll follow a very similar trajectory of being rediscovered on home video and streaming.
Set in suburban Illinois in 1989, our protagonist is Lisa Swallows, a teenage girl who's been moody and morose ever since her mom was killed by an axe murderer two years ago, followed by her father Dale remarrying the obnoxious jackass Janet and thus gaining a stepsister in the cheerleader Taffy. She likes to hang out at the old cemetery, where, one night after going to a party where she accidentally takes hallucinogens and subsequently gets sexually harassed, she runs off and tells one of the men buried there that she wishes she was "with him" (i.e. dead). Something must've been miscommunicated, because that night, that grave is struck by lightning and its occupant rises from the dead, trying to find Lisa and be with her. Lisa is initially horrified, but soon realizes that, beneath this creature's rotten exterior, there's actually a romantic soul who longs to be human again. And after tragedy strikes, Lisa decides to find a way to make her new boyfriend's dream a reality... no matter who gets in her way.
The first two acts of this film felt like they were building to something very interesting. The thing about the best takes on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, not least of all the 1931 Universal classic, is that they recognize that the real "monster" is in fact Dr. Frankenstein himself, the creature's creator, and this film leans heavily in that direction with its depiction of Lisa. She eagerly starts killing people in order to build the perfect boyfriend, getting sucked into darkness as she's blinded by love, and Kathryn Newton completely steals the show playing her, starting the film as a dowdy, depressed dweeb but eventually developing a gothic fashion sense and, with it, a catty diva-like attitude while channeling a young Winona Ryder in both Beetlejuice and Heathers. There were many places that this film could've gone, most of them involving Lisa becoming a full-bore villain while Taffy suddenly finds herself in her stepsister's path, with the creature either serving as Lisa's partner in crime from start to finish or perhaps slowly gaining a sense of morality as he becomes more "human" and realizing that Lisa is evil. All the while, the Frankenstein metaphor becomes one about somebody who'd do anything for love, including that, and loses herself in the process. And at times, it seemed to be going in that direction, especially as Taffy grows increasingly traumatized over the course of the film.
Unfortunately, whether it was the PG-13 rating or a desire to make Lisa more sympathetic (and Taffy less so), the film won't commit to the bit. Lisa's characterization does a near-total 180 in the third act as the film asks us to side with her as, at the very least, a sympathetic anti-villain with good intentions. Lisa should've been the bad guy that the film was building her up as, no ifs, ands, or buts -- a sympathetic and compelling one like Jennifer Check, but still somebody who crossed the line miles ago and never looked back. It would've given Liza Soberano, who plays Taffy and will probably be the breakout star of this film, more to do instead of making her a supporting player in Lisa's story who plays only a minor role in the third act. Instead, it felt like I was watching a whole new character entirely that just so happened to share Lisa's name and face. I highly suspect that there's a lot of alternate material here, either in earlier drafts of the screenplay or deleted scenes, because the sudden tonal shift in the third act feels like a product of a completely different movie.
What saved this film in the end were the style and the humor. Much like Karyn Kusama on Jennifer's Body, Zelda Williams imbues this film with a ton of gothic flair, Lisa's outfits being just the start of it, inspired by Tim Burton and, by extension, the German expressionism that he in turn drew from. The bright pink suburban house that Lisa and her family live in is almost cartoonish, and draws a sharp contrast to the world around it. The moment we're introduced to Carla Gugino as Lisa's stepmother, a hilariously over-the-top parody of an '80s suburban mom who needlessly antagonizes Lisa every chance she gets, and Joe Chrest as her spectacularly inattentive father who looks the part of a wholesome suburban dad but otherwise can't be bothered to look up from his newspaper, we see exactly the kind of people who'd happily live in a house like that. There are multiple animated sequences that liven up the film throughout, most notably the prologue/opening credits showing us the creature's backstory in life. The soundtrack is filled with great retro '80s needle drops, especially once the creature regains the use of his hands and can play the piano again. Cole Sprouse as the creature had no dialogue barring grunts, moans, and screams, but he still made for a compelling presence on screen as the other half of the film's central romance, proving that seven years on Riverdale was a waste of a lot of young actors' talents. This was Williams' first feature film, and if this is indicative of her skill behind the camera, I can see her going far. And most importantly, this movie is hysterical. The entire theater was laughing throughout, and I was right there with them. There are jokes about everything from "back massagers" to the creature's physical decay, and more broadly, its campy gothic tone is played far more for laughs than frights, most notably in one death scene that would be the most brutal in the film on the face of it but is instead one of the most hilarious scenes in it as the film shows us just enough to let us know exactly what happened and wince while still remaining PG-13. Cody's grasp of storytelling may have been shaky here, but her knack for getting me to laugh my ass off remains fully intact.
The Bottom Line
Lisa Frankenstein should've had more care put into its screenplay, especially once act three comes around, but it's still a very funny and watchable movie that, much like Jennifer's Body, I can see enduring as a cult classic. If you're not into the Big Game, check it out.

Curious of what a modern au with the kids would look like…
Oh Anon don’t make me go there
(I am going there)
Not making designs for them (at the moment >:)) but I will give you some headcanons
Liana
Home girl is on her way to take over the fucking world
Comes from an extremely confusing home life, with her dads splitting up and getting together over and over again, both of them having had other partners during the breakup periods that never really last
In the present she has two dads and an additional step dad. She doesn’t like him that much, but her dads relationship seem more stable with him so she bears with it
Liana lost her leg just as she did in canon, due to frostbite. She got lost in the woods during winter for almost a week, and lost one of her shoes in a hole. She likes to dramatize the story though, to seem cooler
Started her own company at eighteen, and it grew into a multimillion corporation after only two years
She dabbles in a lot of things with her company, everything from movie production to train travel, tech to food items, theme parks to merch, and everything in between. Liana doesn’t calm down until she has control over every major industry in the world
Evil capitalist? Yes but consider this: Sexy evil capitalist lesbian. It makes up for it
She does own a lot of charities too, the majority of which being somewhat bird related, like the preservation of endangered birds, or rehabilitation of birds that have been abused by their owners. She likes birds
Still married to Jassy, her childhood best friend. She spoils her wife absolutely rotten (mostly with anime merch and manga’s), and would give up her entire company for her
Buuuuuut, Jassy hasn’t asked that of her yet, so Double Co. will keep on growing
Wes
Even without the imp genes, he’s still a big fricking boy
I mentioned multiple times that BDubs and Impulse were a bit like beauty pageant moms with Wes. Well…yeah
BDubs and Impulse wasn’t full beauty pageant moms (like those fuckers who like, perform surgeries on their four year olds so they will have fuller lips and shit), but beauty pageants was a huge part of my boy’s childhood, which wasn’t the best thing since he hates the spotlight and when people have their eyes on him. His dads would have stopped signing him up for them if he asked, but he was too nervous to do so, so yeah
But hey, at least my man can play the cello like a champ as an adult, since that was his talent.
He’s studying geology because rocks are cool :)
As an adult is relationship with his dads is…a bit strained, but he’s working through it in therapy
Engaged to his fiancé Jekiv, and has been so for many years now. Both of them are still studying, and even though his best friend (and stepsister’s) rich af wife has offered to handle the budget for the wedding, they want to wait until they can afford it themselves
Still has OCD and a lot of Anxiety, but now there’s at least medicine!
Gertrude
Golden retriever personified
She works out everyday just so she can lift and hug every dog she meets
One of her dads cheated on her other dad when she was little, so she grew up in separate homes. It was alright though, Big B would always bake with her and take her to the dog park, while Ren would tell fantastical stories and play as much dress up as she wanted
So yeah, Gertrude is actually pretty aight in this universe
I imagine Renchanting is some shop her dad owns, maybe either like a bisexual crystal shop or like a costume place, but she probably works part time there
Volunteers at a lot of dog rescue shelters, and has adopted many of them
Is studying to become a vet, but is also practicing writing on the side. She wants to write children’s fantasy novels, about princesses and magic
Is dating Novo, and has been waiting for him to propose for almost six years. She gonna keep on waiting
Johnny
Man is half British half Arizonan, still somehow speaks with a country accent. Only god knows where he got it from, and I don’t even think he does
Apart from more humane features, nothing about Johnny changes. Still an Aromantic icon, still a sweetie, still a rancher at heart, and he can still absolutely shred it on the Banjo
Suffers from mild anemia and asthma. He sometimes struggles to keep up with his friends, especially when they were children, but he always found ways to keep their pace, even if that means he sometimes had to be carried
He absolutely has one of those trucks that he treats as his baby. He’s worked on it for years, he has a name for it (It’s Butternut), he will cry if it’s even slightly scratched, it’s his child and he loves it very much.
Gertrude probably taught him some mechanics to take care of Butternut
Dreams of one day owning a ranch, but that’s a bit away
He probably volunteers and helps out at a lot of stables and riding schools, wrangling horses and whatnot. He’s got a natural talent, what can I say?
Jassy
She still styles her hair in all of those ridiculous anime styles, but now it takes a considerable amount of more hairspray and time
The way she bonded with her dads as a kid was through their favorite medias, so with Etho they would always talk Naruto and anime while with Joel she would always talk Shrek and Harry Potter
Has taken Ninjitsu and parkour classes since she learned how to walk
The only dyed part of her hair is the green streak. She has incredibly pale blonde hair
Married to one of the most successful entrepreneurs ever, and she pulled that bitch by being a fucking weeb
Is extremely into Cosplay, and has a Naruto OC that is Kakashi’s super cool powerful daughter
Has a job in a book store, mostly because she enjoys having something to do during the days. Is a bad employe tho, spends most of the time reading manga or mystery novels
Collects knives and daggers as a hobby because she’s just that bitch
Jekiv
Imagining Jekiv as not a Zombie is actually very difficult
In canon Martyn just kinda dipped, but imma say he stuck around here, so yeah Jekiv grew up with both of his parents. Separated of course, but they were both present
Still, he’s got a lot better relationship with his mom than his dad. They’re more alike
Suffers from Hyperthyroidism, which is the reason behind his skinny figure, his patchy hair, his weak muscles, and his bulging eyes. He’s had it since he was a tween, and he tries to not let it bother him
He gets sunburnt really easily so he rarely goes outside when the sun is shining. He’s pale af
Is studying forensic pathology, and works part time at a morgue. He’s always had a weird fascination with dead bodies, but hey at least he isn’t a serial killer
Would absolutely be a serial killer if he had the skills and strength to do so
Owns over twenty breeds of frog, two of which is poisonous
Has a resting bitch face, but he also is just a straight up bitch sometimes
Novo
Mans still a lil freak
Has Stahl’s ear syndrome and thinks it’s cool as fuck. Usually has his hair tied up to show it off
Bleaches and dyes his hair a new color every month. His hair is permanently damaged because of it, but he’s mostly fine with it
While his parents are on non speaking terms, they’re a lot more healthy than in canon. Novo is well raised and loved, he’s just Like That
Has a freakish resistance to the cold, like, Canadian level resistance, so mans will just lay in in a t-shirt and skirt in the snow while taking a nap
Picks up a new instrument every few weeks. He can’t play any of them, but he likes to find ways to annoy his friends with them
Is studying law, actually. He may not look or act it, but he’s freakishly smart, and he wants to become a prosecutor
Is dating Gertrude, and has been waiting for her to propose for almost six years. He’s gonna keep on waiting

Princess & Bunny, Chapter 2
Word Count: 1.8k
Warnings:  taboo relationships, manipulation.
Tumblr media
“What the fuck are they doing here?”
“Language young lady,” Linda Thrombey frowned.  Bunny took a deep breath as her stepbrother stood awkwardly on the front porch while they pulled up the driveway, “and if you must know, I told Ransom and a few of his friends to come get you and your sister.”
“Oh, is that Hughie?” Princess asked excitedly, already sitting forward in her seat until she’d had a view of her stepbrother.  Bunny frowned, crossing her arms, “Come on, Bunny, cheer up.  Hughie never did anything to you and you always treat him so rotten.”
“You’re really excited to see him?” she scowled, “especially after we just dropped Kingston off at grandpa Harlans?”
“About Kingston…Ransom’s friends don’t know anything about…that incident…and I’d prefer that neither one of you bring it up!”
“Oh…” Princess frowned, “o-okay.”
“I just think it’s for the best,” Linda said quickly, “I mean, we know that Ransom is the boy’s father, but we don’t want to put him in that kind of awkward situation with his friends, now do we?  You’re his stepsister, Bunny…mate or not, the rest of the world won’t see it as a good thing.”
“N-no…I guess not,” she frowned, sitting back in her seat, “a-am I allowed to talk about Kingston at all?”
“You shouldn’t!” Bunny said firmly, shooting her sister a look over her shoulder, “for all of spring break we are just two high school seniors forced to hang out with her stepbrother and his weird frat brothers.”
“I think they’re nice!”
“You think everyone is nice!  You are far too trusting, my little Princess,” Linda sighed, putting the car into park, “come on…let’s just get this show on the road.”
But Princess was already halfway out of the car; the 18-year-old panther quickly making her way towards Ransom, “Hughie!”
“Cece!” the normally stoic and sarcastic man smiled, catching her as she launched herself into his arms, “god I missed you.”
He buried his face in her neck, inhaling her scent deeply.  She began purring wildly as she nuzzled her face against his.  A few of his friends looked at one another, taken back by the fact that he just scented his stepsister.
“And you think this is a good idea?” Bunny scoffed, shooting her stepmother a look, “we’ll be lucky if by the end of this, she doesn’t end up with another cub.”
“And what about you?” Linda asked, raising her brow at the young woman, “I saw the way that you were eyeing up that panther in the back.  The boy with the dark hair and those steely eyes.”
Bunny blushed, her scent tinging ever so slightly from being called out by Linda, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Oh, no?” she asked, “then what about the blonde lion who stood near him?  Or the bulky looking wolf in the corner?  Thinking of going from a big cat to a dog?”
Bunny shifted in her spot, “I-I’ve never so much as kissed anyone, mother…wh-why are you asking me these things?”
“Be careful is all I’m saying,” she shrugged, “I ended up with Ransom’s father so quickly…I was young.  Inexperienced.  I thought I knew the world, much like you.  But I didn’t know anything.  I don’t want you making the same mistakes that I did.”
“Ransom…”
“I love my son…but I know what he is,” she said sadly, “had I not been so trusting of the world, I would not have had him…I just want you to be prepared, Bunny.  I’m protecting you.”
“Is that what this is?” she asked, “You’re not just testing my boundaries?”
“Do you think that you need to be tested?”
“What happens if I do?”
“I think that you and your sister are in need of being tested before you go to college,” she admitted with a firm look, “and I think now is a good start to that.  You are a smart girl, Bunny…I don’t think that you’ll make the same mistakes that I did.”
Tumblr media
“This is it!”
Bunny frowned as she looked around the large living room that she’d been in only weeks before.  And while her sister was excitedly following her stepbrother into the house, she stood in the same room, not wanting to go further into it.
“You know…you can’t just stand there for the whole two weeks you’re going to be here…people might start to confuse you with a coat rack if you do.”
Bunny nearly jumped out of her skin when she turned around.  The confidence was practically rolling off the lithe man in droves.  She’d recognized him from the first time she was in the house, but she didn’t know his name.
He leaned forward ever so slightly, his nostrils flaring while he took in her scent, and a low rumble started in his chest, “you smell phenomenal, pretty kitty…do you have claws or are you just looking for a reason to purr?”
Despite the way his voice was affecting her, making her want to do nothing but scent him back, she hissed.  The man smirked, taking a step back.
“Johnny, leave her the hell alone!”
He held up his hands, as though he was innocent, “I’m not doing anything…just seeing if the kitty has claws.”
“She does…and she’ll fuck you up,” Ransom warned.  He shot his stepsister a look and she gave him an appreciative nod, “Come on, Bunny…let me show you the third floor where you and Princess will be staying.”
She nodded, quickly following behind Ransom.  He’d gone up the first set of stairs, and from her spot on the landing, Bunny could see Princess impatiently waiting on the third floor, “come on, guys.”
“We’re coming,” Ransom chuckled, making his way towards Princess, “god, Cece, you’re impatient as ever.”
She giggled, attaching herself back to Ransom’s side as he joined her, “or I just want you to show me every bit of this place.  I’m so excited Hughie.  Linda never let us see you.  She alw-“
“You know exactly why that is, Princess!” Bunny scowled, cutting her excitable sister off, “now stop being stupid.”
“Hey,” Ransom growled, glaring at Bunny, “stop being mean to her…you know, not everyone has a stick up their ass about everything all the time like you do, Bunny!”
“I’m just excited…Linda never lets us go anywhere!” Princess said sadly, “It-it’s always home, or the publishing company…or her real estate business…or Harlans…I just-“
“Hey…hey…” Ransom said quickly, cutting her off, “it’s okay, Princess.  Bunny’s just being a pain.  You  know how she is sometimes…it’s nothing new.  And we’ve always dealt with it before…and we have each other again, now.”
“Yeah…” she agreed, sniffling at Ransom.  He was quick to wipe away the tears before they fell down her cheeks, “she’s not sweet to me like you are, Hughie…”
Bunny rolled her eyes, “Whatever…where are we sleeping?  I want to put my stuff down somewhere!”
“I want to stay in Hughie’s room!” Princess said quickly, turning all of her attention back to the alpha, “please, say I can stay in your room with you, Hughie.  Pretty please.  Please!  Ple-“
“If that’s what you want!” he said quickly, already caving in to her doe eyes, “I-we were going to have you girls stay in one of the spare rooms on the top floor so the guys don’t bug you as much.  But if you want to stay with me, Princess…”
“Of course I do, Hughie!” she giggled, pressing herself tightly against Ransom and wrapping her arms around his neck, “oh this is going to be the best two weeks ever.  It’ll be just like when you lived at home…”&
“Does anyone else think that Ransom’s stepsisters are a little…”
“Odd?” Jake Jensen voiced.  His eyes trailed towards the stairs.  He knew that a while ago, Ransom had taken them upstairs to show them the room they’d be staying in.
A few of the guys chattered around the coffee table as they sipped on their beers and watched the game that was going on.  Some nodded along, agreeing on how they noticed Ransom was acting, and how the sisters were responding.
“The one is just…all over him!  Did anyone else think that was weird?”
“And he scented her when we got them!”
“What?”
“And the other acts like she hates him…”
“Maybe she does?”
Bucky glared at Johnny, “she seems like she’s pretty smart…the one that wasn’t clinging to Drysdale…maybe there’s a reason she hates him…ever think of that?  Probably has something to do with how much of a creep he was being with her sister.”
“Because Drysdale is a dick!”
“No, Buck is right.  I think.  The other one is all over him!” Steve repeated, his confusion leaking through the exclamation, “they’re too close for even stepsiblings.”
“Maybe that’s why she hates him!” Johnny pointed out as he finally realized what the two were saying.  He used his tongue and pressed it to the inside of his cheek, “big step bro playing hide the pickle with her twin and not her…”
“God, why do you have to be so disgusting, Johnny!” Jake groaned, “that’s his stepsister.”
“Steve and Bucky said it first!”
“You guys…that’s not what you were saying, was it?”
Bucky shrugged, “it’s what it looks like!”
“I’m sorry, those twins are hot,” Johnny began, “if they were my sisters, step or not, I’m gladly doing whatever position they ask.  I know you don’t get much action, Jensen, but the one looks like she just lives to please…imagine her beneat-”
“Come on, man.  That’s gross!”
“Maybe Storm is right,” one of the other panthers agreed, “she really is all over him while the other one hates him.”
“Jealousy?”
“I mean the one that hangs off him-that one seems pretty stupid,” one of the guys laughed, “Maybe the grumpy bitch just hates him because he’s all over her and the ditz is too stupid to realize it.”
“My sister isn’t a ditz,” a feminine voice replied all too quickly.  The guys tore their eyes from the game to see Bunny in a pair of sweatpants and a crop top tee.  Instantly regret laced their scents.  She inhaled, and sneered, “you guys have one thing right though…I do fucking hate Ransom…and I hate all of you too…you self-righteous, self-serving pricks.”
“We-“
“Save it,” she spat, glaring at Jake, “the least you ingrates could do is make sure that one of the people you’re talking about isn’t in the god damned kitchen making food.”
“Is Ran-“
“Princess wanted to see the campus,” she said firmly, shaking her head at the question, “you’re lucky that Ransom took her out before your little game started…if he heard you talking about Princess like that, he’d personally gut each and everyone of you.”
“You won’t tell him, will you?”
Her eyes snapped to Buckys, “I may hate that asshole, but I don’t hate Princess…she thinks the world of you pricks already, and I’m not going to be the one to disillusion her to that.”

About your reblog of the Cinderella post: I believe that the discussions around Cinderella (both the fairytale and various adaptions like the Disney film) needs some nuance.

AITA for giving my husband another chance but not my stepsister?
I (28F) died in another timeline because my husband killed me, he and my younger sister had an affair and they wanted me out of the way. But fortunately, instead of moving on to the afterlife, I woke up 5 years in the past right before my wedding! I swore to never forgive these two for what they did to me and I really tried my best to break off my engagement to my husband/fiance at the time, but it's difficult because of politics.
(He's the crown prince and I am only a poor, abused daughter of a Duke. All the maids are bullying me by giving me rotten food and the only person I thought was on my side in my home was my stepsister, who had an affair with my husband in the other timeline).
Anyway, a lot of things happened and I started to see that my husband actually really cares about me, I think he was being manipulated by my stepsister the first time, she lied to him about me actually bullying HER so he thought he was doing the right thing by killing me! I forgave him because he really showed me that he's changed.
But my stepsister never showed remorse for deceiving me and pretending to love me, so I put her into jail. Now some people are saying that I am being sexist and a 'pick me' for giving my husband another chance but not my sister, even though it's not remotely the same. True, I avoided my sister and gave her nasty looks after I regressed, but was polite to my husband instead, but that's because he was the prince, I couldn't afford to be rude to HIM! Also, despite everything, he is HOT and I just don't find my stepsister attractive, sorry.
AITA?

Idk why but I don’t think the blacks are a perfect happy family as much as their fans like to depict them as. Nyra and daemon got married before their spouses funerals were even over. Like I can’t imagine how the kids would have felt like their parent just died and before their bones could even burn their cousins were married to one another.
Also daemons daughters were introduced to the family as jace and lukes fiancés not as their stepsisters. Daemon doesn’t even show care towards his daughters he legit left one of them to be raised by her grandparents while he took the other to dragonstone. I think it might also be implied that rhaena might still not have a dragon which is fucked up cuz dragonstone has dragons and we saw that daemon got eggs prepared for his newborn children with nyra so in the 6 years they were all there he didn’t give rhaena a dragon egg.
I also can’t imagine how jace Luke and Joffrey might feel seeing their younger siblings with blonde hair and purple eyes wishing that they had those so they wouldn’t be called bastards continuously. Interestingly jace and luke call daemon by his first name and their relationship with him seems kinda strained atleast to me.
The black kids also seem quick to anger while the greens kids are quick with their words. Take that table scene for example with Aemond poking(?) at the black kids by calling them strong and jace was so quick to anger and resort to violence and he fell so easily into aemonds provocation.
The black kids just seem to have a lot of anger/resentment in them and are quick to resort to violence. Atleast that’s how I see it. I think it would be interesting to look more into this dynamic of theirs.
I don't get the "happy family" vibes either. It's just another baseless headcanon that Team Black stans deluded themselves into believing it's true.
Rhaeynra is sweet and loving to her kids, but that's the only "happy" part. They still had to endure living with the stigma of being bastards because of her. She still spoiled them rotten and taught them to be cruel to people they don't like (They jumped on a kid they previously bullied for shit and giggles, beat him up, took his eye, watched unfazed as their mother demanded the kid to be tortured, and they spent years openly mocking him. They are anything but "good").
Rhaenyra is occasionally kinda nice to Daemon's daughters, but not enough to not steal their inheritance, lol.
And Daemon? The neglectful father? The abusive husband? No one is having "happy, healthy family fun times" with him.

ooc | Cassimir & Eilionora
As I was saying to Kate, I can possibly see where Valentina might have wanted Cassimir to pursue marrying Eilionora, back in the day, before the Varmonts showed up on the scene? And, if so, I can see where he would have been more on board with this idea than he is with Guin, just because if his mom wants one of them to marry nobility, only he had the option when the Staffords were in charge, but now Sonya could marry a Varmont and satisfy her and then he can be left to marry Eithne!! (it's a plan he's sure his mom will eventually come around to ;D)
Anyway, if that was the case, he definitely would have pulled out all the charm with her and he just might have gotten away with it, too, if it wasn't for you rotten kids *shakes fist at stepsisters who are out here to ruin expose him*
I'm not sure how Eilionora would have handled him, but I'm sure she would have known that he's not the kind of man he seems thanks to his sisters, but also probably just from knowing him long enough that she's seen he's an ass?? Plus, he's not really a great option for a queen to marry either like yeah he's got noble blood, but to a throne that doesn't even exist anymore so ???? #notworthit
Regardless if Valentina would have once shipped her/Cassimir back in the day, Cassmir still would have tried to get and remain on her good side, just because you def wanna have that kinda relationship with your queen (even though he is definitely - secretly - of the mind that she's a woman and needs a strong man to help her rule #facepalm)
But now??? Now Cassimir is full #teamvarmont and would probably advise Eilionora to marry Roderick if he cared to speak to her at all (what a guy)

the last thing on rancilda's selfish, rotten mind was the very skin that she was wearing or who it belonged to. yeah, yeah, it had belonged to ella's friend or whatever, but didn't they live out of town? wouldn't it be better if ella always got to see her friends? maybe ella was the out of touch one in this occasion . . . and besides, maybe mother had done that girl a favor because, gods, was her skin tight and itchy. is this how humans always felt?!
the discomfort had rancilda overstimulated. so much so that when dinner came around, she became a savage beast, gobbling up her bowl of stew that ella had sat on the table and then ella's very own bowl the moment it was laid down as well. two bowls devoured without a single thought of her stepsister eating the scraps that the other three didn't consume. and rancilda didn't notice the reaction until she lifted her head, a dribble of broth dripping from the corner of her mouth as she caught the wide-eyed, sad gaze of her stepsister before the exhausted comment was released.
❛ haven’t you taken enough from me?  ❜
something twitched in rancilda as her hands started to suddenly fidget with the skirt on the golden dress she wore. the breeze on her ankles felt nice, along with the rich material the skirt was constructed from. she didn't recognize this feeling, but it felt similar to when her mother or putrice snapped at her. something deep in her chest that she didn't know the word for.
" i guess i can yack it up for you? might be a little mushy though, " she offered with a tip of her head, eyes cast in @ashmored's direction. if her sister or mother were here, surely something snarkier would have fallen out of her mouth, something more defensive. " want me to try? "

Vasilisa & The Fiery Skull
Vasilisa and The Fiery Skull is a heroine in Russian Folklore.
A merchant and his first wife had a single daughter, who was known as Vasilisa the Beautiful.
Vasilisa’s mother died when Vasilisa turned eight years old. Her mother on her deathbed, gave Vasilisa a small, wooden doll with instructions to give it a bit to eat and a bit to drink if she were in need, and then it would help her.
When her mother died, Vasilisa gave it a bit to drink and a bit to eat, and it comforted her. Over time, her father remarried; his second wife was a woman with two daughters. Vasilisa’s stepmother was mean and vicious towards her, with her doll’s aid, she was able to perform all the tasks forced upon her. When young males came courting, the stepmother dismissed them all because it was not proper for the younger to marry before the older, and none of the suitors wished to marry Vasilisa’s stepsisters.
The merchant one day, had to set out on a journey. His wife sold the house and moved them all to a dreary hut by the forest. One time she gave each of the girls a task and extinguished all the fires except a single candle. Her older daughter then extinguished the candle, whereupon they sent Vasilisa to fetch fire from Baba Yaga’s hut.

The doll advised her to go, and she went.
While she was sauntering down a dark path, a mysterious man rode by her in the hours before dawn, dressed in white, riding a white horse whose equipment was all white. Next a rider in red followed the rider in white.
She came to a house that stood on chicken legs and was walled by a fence made of skeleton bones.
A black rider, like the white and red riders, galloped past her, and night fell, whereupon the eye sockets of the skulls began to glow.
Vasilisa was too frightened to run away, and so Baba Yaga found her when she arrived in her mortar. Baba Yaga said that Vasilisa must perform tasks successfully, in order to earn the fire, or be killed. Her list of chores consisted of cleaning the house and yard, wash Baba Yaga’s laundry, and cook her a meal.
Vasilisa’s other tasks were to separate grains of rotten corn from sound corn, and separate poppy seeds from grains of soil. Baba Yaga left, and Vasilisa’s heart grew heavy, as she worked herself into exhaustion. When all hope of completing the tasks seemed lost, the doll whispered that she would complete the tasks for Vasilisa, and that the girl should sleep.
At dawn, the white rider passed; at or before noon, the red. As the black rider rode past, Baba Yaga returned and could complain of nothing. She bade three pairs of disembodied hands seize the corn to squeeze the oil from it, then asked Vasilisa if she had any questions. Vasilisa asked about the rider’s identities and was told that the white one was Day, the red one was the Sun, and the black one was Night.
When Vasilisa thought of asking about the disembodied hands, the doll quivered in her pocket. Vasilisa realized she should not ask, and told Baba Yaga she had no further questions. In return, Baba Yaga inquired as to the cause of Vasilisa’s success. On hearing the answer “by my mother’s blessing,” Baba Yaga, who wanted nobody with any kind of blessing in her presence, threw Vasilisa out of her house, and sent her home with a skull-lantern full of burning coals, to provide light for her step-family.
Upon her return, Vasilisa found that, since sending her out on her task, her step-family had been unable to light any candles or fire in their home. Even lamps and candles that might be brought in from outside were useless for the purpose, as all were snuffed out the second they were carried over the threshold. The coals brought in the skull-lantern burned Vasilisa’s stepmother and stepsisters to ashes, and Vasilisa buried the skull according to its instructions, so no person would ever be harmed by it.
Later, Vasilisa became an assistant to a maker of cloth in Russia’s capital city, where she became so skilled at her work that the Tsar himself noticed her skill; he later married Vasilisa.

A Christmas Cinderella (blog 1)
Growing up, almost all Disney movies were always a staple within my household. My two older sisters and I would snuggle up under all the fuzzy blankets and with a bowl full of popcorn and watch movie after movie. This was my favorite thing to do growing up. During the month of December, the three of us would always watch ABC Family's 25 days of Christmas movies. One year, our Grandparents gifted us all Disney princess ornaments. The oldest, Miciah was given Sleeping Beauty, Trinity, the next oldest got Cinderella, and I was given Snow White. I couldn't tell you why but I was devastated that I didn't receive Cinderella.
And so my 5-year-old self came up with a superb plan in order to get it - I would take the ornament from the tree and hide it in my room.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, I self did not think through that Trinity and I both share our room and would easily be able to discover the fact that I had taken the ornament hostage. And so a small argument broke out between us. For context, it wasn't out of the ordinary for us to fight about such trivial things.
Tumblr media
To my dismay, my masterful plan was unsuccessful and so I could only continue to admire the ornament from afar - I honestly don't understand how my family put up with me as a child. However, this was really the beginning of my obsession with Cinderella.
Tumblr media
Besides the fact that I had an obsession with copying my sister and her whole personality, the story of Cinderella has always been fascinating to me. The prospect of being swept off my feet by a charming young prince was my dream come true.
In order to cater the story of Cinderella to younger children in the modern sense, Disney changed many aspects of the story. Although you still have the Evil stepmother and Sisters, Disney killed off the father to further emphasize the rotten relationship between Cinderella and her new relatives. Disney pulled much of its content from Charles Perrault's version of the story i.e., the fairy godmother, ends up forgiving her stepsisters.
In the Disney version, it seems there is much less character development for Cinderella than in Perrault's version. Disney's Cinderella just gets by not doing anything in particular and then gets swept off her feet by Prince charming, however in Perrault's version she at least had some redeeming qualities like being graceful and kind.
Regardless, Disney's Cinderella will forever hold a piece of my heart, and deep down I'm still hoping that my prince Charming will come.... ;)

Notes:
Cinderella was born to wealthy parents, who treated their daughter with great love. The family resided in a French château, just beyond a small- but powerful- kingdom. Sometime during her childhood, Cinderella's mother tragically passed away, and as a result of believing his daughter needed a mother figure in her life, Cinderella's father remarried to a woman named Lady Tremaine, who notably had two daughters of her own, both around Cinderella's age: Anastasia and Drizella. After the death of her father, Cinderella was under the control of Lady Tremaine, whose true colors finally surfaced, showing a cruel and cold-hearted woman. Her selfishness and vanity destroyed both the family fortune and left the once beautiful château in a state of disrepair. While pampering her own two daughters and spoiling them rotten, she raised Cinderella in abuse and virtual slavery. This was a result of being wickedly jealous of the young girl's natural beauty and charm, which she and her own daughters all lacked. This went on for many years, but Cinderella's personality still remained sweet, humble, and kind.
Despite being raised in toxicity and emotional abuse, Cinderella declared herself independent and strong-willed by remaining kind-hearted and self-loving unlike her cruel step-family, not allowing the bitterness surrounding her life to overtake her and morph her into someone as cruel as her stepfamily. She makes the most of her misfortunes by remaining optimistic of the possibilities of a brighter future, keeping herself preoccupied with enforced housework and friendly bonds built with her pets, and dozens of mice that have found themselves trapped over the years by Tremaine's mouse traps, only to be rescued and spared by Cinderella. In gratitude, the mice would become loyal companions to Cinderella, providing her with the company and serving as diligent helpers should something troubling occur. The devotion of the mice would ultimately play a crucial role in the young woman escaping her abusive household, thus furthering the example of how Cinderella's evergreen kindness towards others, despite her situation, would ultimately lead to her uprising.
As assumed, Cinderella's primary goal in life was to escape her stepfamily. However, as she was under Lady Tremaine's control since her childhood when her father passed away when she was young, such a feat proved to be difficult, with the emotional abuse and manipulation having been planted in Cinderella's mind for far too many years, making for an obedient and fearful young woman when faced with Tremaine's wrath; she would typically make attempts to avoid any form of conflict with her stepmother and stepsisters as a direct result of this.
Cinderella is also witty and sarcastic, at least when she is alone, and during those moments she would often make quips regarding her step-family's laziness, lack of talent, and over-dependence on her. She is also unafraid to stand up for herself when she feels she's in the right — or at least, attempt to do so, and though she strives to contain her optimistic aura, she can fall into fits of frustration and annoyance quite often. This is seen through her interactions with Lady Tremaine's cat, Lucifer, who she sarcastically refers to as "Your Majesty", and openly berates for his cruel behavior, which mirrors that of her cruel stepmother. Her daily goal is to make the most of her situation, but she never forces herself to bottle up her true emotions in an unhealthy manner; instead, wisely keeping them under control, while also keeping in mind that the future holds brighter experiences. She also is shown to have some degree of common sense, as after Drizella and Anastasia rushed to Lady Tremaine in fear about how Cinderella had allegedly put a mouse in their teacup, Cinderella, hearing the report, immediately deduced that it had been Lucifer who had actually been responsible, and forced him to reveal Gus, allowing Gus a quick escape.
When Lady Tremaine gets and uses her own dose of magic to try and ruin Cinderella's happily ever after, the princess’s hard-working ethics, optimism, and devotion are put to the test, when she is magically stripped away from her "happily ever after" by a vengeful and then magically-empowered Tremaine and is forced to jump into physical action to restore her happy life and relationship with Prince Charming. During these events, Cinderella is shown to be cunning, tactical, persistent, and a fierce rival to those who oppress her. With no magic, being forced to rely solely on her intelligence and fearlessness, Cinderella is able to defeat her stepmother, repair her relationship with a reformed Anastasia and retain her much-deserved life of happiness, proving both her independence and strong will.
