Books Bringing People Together
Books Bringing People Together… In a world where neighbors rarely say hello to one another anymore it’s amazing sometimes how books can bring people together. It was an unusually warm, sunny day yesterday, and a perfect day for another successful Free Book Saturday Event at Randie’s Free Library. From sunrise to sunset, there were people of all ages and backgrounds who dropped by with all types…

Make you Scream
Billy Loomis x reader
Tumblr media
Summary: You find out your boyfriend is Ghostface, which should scare you, instead it turns you on even more.
Warnings: Blood, Violence, sexual content, 18+ themes, swearing, foreplay, knife-play, mature themes, sex, reader is in denial
________________________________________________
"It's gotta be him right, I mean in a horror movie, it's always the person closet to you that turns out to be a fucking killer, I'm telling you man" Randy says to you as you both walk down the hallway of your school.
"Randy for the last time, Billy... who is my boyfriend as you know, is not a fucking killer.. trust me I know him better than anyone else... and besides if he was Ghostface I don't think he would be able to hide it from me" You reply, holding you books closer to your chest.
It's been a week since news of Casey and Steve's murders and Randy won't stop coming up with ideas on who the mystery killer is. First he pointed fingers at you because you never liked the girl, which he claims is a perfect motive. You don't like half the people at your school, but they're all still alive, so his reasoning is invalid. Now, he's claiming it's your boyfriend, which you think is ridiculous, I mean why is he naming all the people in your friend group for starters, you guys are friends for crying out loud.
"I don't know man Billy is pretty scary looking" He says opening the door to the library.
You walk in and drop the books off, "Well I think he looks sexy"
"Gross"
"Can we stop talking about Ghostface now, you know Stu is hosting a party tonight, you going?" You ask him.
"Yeah right, the killer will probably show up there, a bunch of drunk, not to mention high teens that probably won't notice if someone gets stabbed...but yeah I'll be there".
You roll your eyes at his dramatics.
------------------------------------------------------
After you left Randy, you went to grab a book you forgot in your locker. You decided to go now since everyone was in class and the halls would be empty.
You turn the corner and run straight into a hard figure. You look up to quickly apologize, but see no other than Ghostface himself. You gasp in shock and back away quickly, your heart starting to race.
Ghostface stares at you, mocking your movements. You see him pull out a knife from behind him. He looks at it and runs his fingers along the blade, toying with you. Quickly, you run past him and reach the stairs towards the main entrance of the school, but he's quicker. He grabs your arm, halting you from going down and pulls you backwards, your back meeting his chest. You try to break free, but he slices at your arm, the knife cutting into your shoulder. You scream out and fight against him.
He brings the knife up to your throat and pushes against it, cutting just enough to draw blood. You close your eyes, thinking this is your final moments and you curse yourself for not putting up more of a fight, but it never comes. He stays still, holding the knife against your throat, but not going deeper. You open your eyes and look up at him, but he's looking off to the side. What is he distracted by? You don't stay to think as you use this as a time to escape, you push at his arms and he lets go without putting up a fight. You didn't realize how easily he would let you go, as you were close to the edge of the stairs. You trip out of his arms and your foot skips a step, making you tumble down the stairs.
When you reach the bottom of the stairs, your vision goes black and you can faintly make out two voices arguing.
--------------------------------------------------------
When you wake up, you feel your head pounding. You take in your surroundings and try to make sense of where you are. You look around the room and see your boyfriend sitting in a sit next to you, his face in his hands.
"Billy?" You rasp out.
He immediately looks up at you and rushes over to your side.
"Y/n, how are you feeling, are you okay?" He grabs your hand and goes to touch your hair.
"Yeah, I-I'm okay, are we at a hospital?" You ask leaning into his touch.
"You fell down the stairs, I found you and called the ambulance"
"Oh my God, I remember now..Billy the killer he was trying to kill me!.. He was at the school!"
He looks off to the side like he's angry at something, "I'm dealing with it, but uh- the doctor said you should be free to go tonight, your injuries where just minor, nothing serious, they think you weren't looking and tripped"
"That's goods, but the killer...wait what do you mean dealing with it?" You ask, confused by his response.
"Nothing, listen I have to go to Stu's party tonight, are you still up for it?" He ask, moving a stray hair behind your ear.
"Are you serious, I just told you I got attacked by the killer and you want to go to a party?" You look at him in disbelief.
"Trust me nothing's going to happen to you, I'll be by your side at all times... and you don't have to go, but the doctor said you'll be fine, I just really have to go Y/n"
You roll your eyes at him, "Fine, I'll go with you.. I need a drink anyways".
---------------------------------------------------------
After you got cleared from the hospital, you went home to change. Luckily you didn't break anything on the way down the stairs, getting away with the few marks left by Ghostface. Billy was adamant on going to this party, which makes no sense to you. Now that you think about it he didn't seem phased when you mentioned that a literal killer had you in his grasp ready to slice your throat. Weird.
"You look so hot Y/n... I heard what happened at school you okay?" Tatum says to you when she opens the door.
"Thanks, you too and yeah I'm okay it wasn't anything serious" You give her a hug and walk inside, your hands interlocked with Billy's.
"Hey I'm going to grab a drink, you want anything?" You shout to your boyfriend, over the loud music.
"No, I'm fine sweetheart, come straight to me after, don't want anyone slipping something into your drink".
"Ok, meet you by the front" You saying giving him a final kiss on the lips then leaving.
--------------------------------------------------
After you grabbed your drink, you walked back, frowning when you realize that Billy wasn't by the front.
Instead you see Randy by the door, drinking a beer, "Hey Randy, have you seen Billy?"
"I saw him go upstairs" He nods towards the stairs, continuing to drink his beer.
You go to walk upstairs, but he stops you, "Hey what happened at school?"
"What do you mean?...everyone heard that I fell down the stairs".
"Yeah..but like did you fall, or were you pushed?" He asks you, looking dead into your eyes.
You sigh, "It was Ghostface, he tried to kill me at the school, but something distracted him... He let go of me and I missed the step, when I woke up in the hospital Billy was there and he said it was better if I didn't tell the cops anything, that way Ghostface won't come after me anymore".
Randy scoffs, "Don't you see, it is so clearly him.. "don't tell the cops", that's complete bullshit, in what world would you not tell the cops a literal killer came after you?... and your stupid enough to agree with him, HELLO?!"
"Randy, enough with this Ghostface shit, I know you think it's Billy, but its not and if I was pushed down the stairs, it wouldn't be by him.. I do think it's a little weird he didn't seen phased by it, but I trust him.. he probably just didn't want to scare me into thinking Ghostface was going to come after me again and besides I'm pretty fine, just a few scratches".
"Whatever, you're either in serious denial or your a complete fucking idiot, I'm leaving.. call me later, if you're still alive be then" He grabs the door handle and walks out, slamming it shut.
You think that maybe Randy's right, even though he could have worded it nicer. I mean you were just in a hospital a few hours ago and now you're at a party?!
You brush off Randy's words and start to head upstairs. You pause when you get to the top, hearing hushed voices.
"I'm going to fucking kill you!..Why the hell would you go after Y/n.. when was that part of the plan?"
"You're going to kill Tatum, why can't I kill Y/n?"
"Uhh- maybe because Y/n is my girlfriend dumbass".
"Tatum is my girlfriend!"
"Yeah, but Tatum is just a means to an end, we actually want Y/n alive because I love her!"
"Whatever I'm going to go talk to Tatum before you kill her!"
Just as he stops talking, your phone starts to ring. Shit! You hurry up and try to turn it off seeing that it's Randy. This man has perfect timing.
"What the fuck was that?" Stu asks.
Before you can leave, a tall figure appears from around the corner. Billy stares at you, his facial expression unreadable. Your heart drops.
"Well What is it?" Stu asks.
He continues to stare at you for a minute before answering, "It's nothing, someone was probably at the bottom of the stairs".
You don't wait to hear Stu's reply and hurry down the stairs. WHAT THE FUCK?! Randy was right this whole time, Billy is ghostace? Stu is ghostface? THERE ARE TWO GHOSTFACE?!
"Y/n!" Someone calls your name.
You look behind you and see Billy standing by the stairs, he nods his head, wanting you to follow him upstairs. This is dumb right? You shouldn't go upstairs BY YOURSLEF with someone you know is a killer. You should call the police and turn both of them in.
You follow Billy upstairs. He leads you to one of the guest bedrooms, opening the door for you. You walk in first and he closes the door behind you, locking it.
You face him, waiting for him to speak. He smiles at you, shaking his head, "Why were you on the stairs?"
"I was looking for you".
"Hmmm, and you found me" He chuckles. "What did you hear?" he asks, walking closer to you.
You back up, your legs hitting the side of the bed, "Nothing".
"Mmmh, okay... Do I scare you?" He closes the gap between you.
"No".
He nods at your answer and he reaches behind himself, pulling a knife out of his pocket. He holds it up and quickly grabs you, applying pressure to your neck. You gasp at his quick movements.
"And what about now?" He says adding pressure, but not enough to actually hurt you.
"No".
"No? I don't make you scare sweetheart, even after you know what I have done, the people I've killed?"
"No".
You don't know why, but you're finding this to be extremly hot. Billy threatening you with a knife, but knowing that he would never hurt you. Maybe you're just sick in the head, after all your boyfriend is a murder, you shouldn't feel this way, but you do. Maybe it's because of all the dark romance books you have been reading or maybe it's because you love him too much that you can cast away his flaws. You should probably call the cops, but instead you rub your legs together, the friction does nothing to ease your aching cunt.
Billy catches the movement without his eyes, and groans when he sees what you're doing, "You're enjoying this?".. "You're more sick than I am, what a dirty whore you are" He chuckles out.
You moan, "Billy pleasee, I-I just need you".
"You want it baby?" he guides the knife over the top of your chest.
"Please, Mr. Ghostface".
His eyes darkenen in response as he halts his movement, looking at you. He grabs at you quickly and slices your top open with the knife, exposing your breast. The cold meets your chest, your nipples hardening. He looks down at your breast and moves his mouth to meet your bud. He licks and flicks at it with his tongue. He moves up to your neck and laps at it, leaving marks. You moan and wrap your arms around his neck, encouraging him to continue his bitting.
When he finishes attacking your neck, he picks you up and throws you on the bed. You gasp as your back meets the mattress. He gets on top of you and starts to undo his belt.
"Turn around and get on all fours" He tells you, slapping your cheek.
You listen to him and flip over on your stomach. After he gets his pants off, he flips your skirt over, exposing your bare cunt.
"You didn't wear anything underneath?" He asks in shock, but he quickly turns unfazed.
"Always prepared for me huh sweetheart" He pulls your legs closer to his hip and you can feel just how hard he is. He rubs his tip against your entrance, making you grow wetter by the second. Without warning he pushes his length past your folds. Making you scream out. You quickly adjust to his big size, the pain turning into pleasure.
He snaps his hips back and forth. Your whines egg him on as he continues to fuck into you ruthlessly not caring if you can take it. He doesn't let you gather your breath, each movement your face pushes more into the sheets. You cry out, but it's muffled by the sheets. He repeatedly hits your g-spot, making you cry out even more.
"Fuck, look at you making a mess on my cock, you're a fifthly little thing aren't you?" He pulls you up, your back meeting his chest, waiting for you to answer him.
"Only for you Billy~" You whine out, tears forming in your eyes from the pleasure.
He pushes you back down into the sheets, his movements continuing, "That's right baby, you're mine, my dirty slut, my pussy to fuck, my cunt to cum in".
You feel his dick twitch inside of you, knowing that he is close. You moan out his name, begging for him to fuck into you faster. He listens, his pace picking up. Your wet pussy hugs his dick, clenching around it tightly.
"Fuck, Y/n..I'm gonna cum, you feel so good... so wet for me baby"
You moan in response, as you feel yourself getting closer and closer. With one final snap of his hips you clench down on his cock, causing him to reach his climax too.
"Fuckk~" He pulls your body closer to him, making sure that his dick is fully inside you as far as it can go. You feel his cum painting your walls as he comes undone. He collapses on top of you, his dick twitching inside of you. When you both calm down from your highs, he flips you over, pulling your naked body on top of his.
After you both finish, you lay on the bed together. He holds you to his chest and strokes your hair. You look up at him and he grins at you. You reach up to meet his lips. He kisses you back immediately, humming into the kiss. After a while, you pull back and look up at him, meeting his eyes.
"Please don't kill Tatum, I like her".
He chuckles, "Whatever you want baby".

hello our foremost motogp tumblr scholar i am back again with a question if you can find it in your heart to answer if not absolutely understandable
this is not your job i wish i could pay you
do you know if there have been other physical fights in motogp like obvs we know vale once punched biaggi (hilarious but insane), and marc has been attacked by thos fuckass journalists if you can call them that, and i have seen maverick and pecco get into a little slap fight
but have there been any others? like physical altercations
like has anyone ever tried to fight marc etc
also!!! if u have a moment, is there beef with alex and luca? i thought maybe there was old beef but....unclear
anyway anyway also you write the most beautiful fics i think i reread some of them at least once a week in times of trouble they call to me
much love goodbye for now sorry im in your dms asking you for primary sources like you run the marc marquez library
smackdown lezgo... most of it is confined to the lower classes tbh like this isnt NASCAR people get really mad when people start goin crazy and the press clutch their pearls (DISCLAIMER: I BELIEVE VIOLENCE IS NOT THE ANSWER TO SPORTING WOES)... um theres this incident where two engineers blocked a moto3 rider from exiting pitlane and catching a tow from their guy and they get PUSHED, and then this incident from valencia 2022 where two riders just kinda start throwing hands post-crash and tbh theres a lot of stuff like that bc theyre mostly teenagers... theres also ex vr46 academy guy romano fenanti, who grabbed a competitor's race lever during misano in 2018 when he was racing in moto2. he ALSO kicked nicklas ajo's bike out from under him during a practice start in 2015, and there was also allegedly some drama w uccio i've screenshotted below that SENDS ME... can you imagine this guy around that stable of sensitive little gay boys. can you imagine this guy around celestino vietti
Tumblr media
as for the premiere class its as you said: vale's long legs finding their way into people's fairings a couple times and the biaggi mosquito incident, as well as casey stoner smacking randy de puniet in 2011 for cruising on his line and nearly causing a collision, aleix smacking franco morbidelli in fp2 in qatar 2023, and then more moto3esque heat of the moment post crash yelling stuff like jack miller getting up in uh. also franky's face after they crashed last year at jerez and maverick vinales flashing the middle finger to bez's limp rag-dolled body post high speed aero crash at philip island and as you mentioned ALSO maverick getting slappy with pecco in le mans in 2023. the blood is up the brain is not working and we see some less than flattering moments... SPORTS ! no one has tried to fight marc as far as i know (sepang nonwithstanding....), but thats all off the top of my head and there's definitely more, so anybody feel free to chime in !

A few of the books I have read this year (not without their flaws). Keep in mind all of these are free if you check them out at your local library ;)
** Please note that most of these books contain descriptions that may be difficult to read through if you've experienced trauma.
Tumblr media
The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel Van Der Kolk.
Legitimately THE book about trauma. You can read it eight times and learn something new, and the narrator for the audiobook does an excellent job. It is remarkably well-written, describing several perspectives on trauma and trauma research, different forms of trauma and how they manifest, the accounts of people from traumatic experiences, the effective approaches for trauma, how trauma differs by sex, and the author's own experience as a clinician treating trauma while working in the field. The second chapter on the neurology of trauma may be especially dense - please don't stop there if you pick up this book.
*Currently $18 on Amazon, normally around $30. Free as an audiobook with Spotify Premium.
Tumblr media
Stop Walking on Eggshells by Paul T. Mason and Randi Kreger.
Currently marked down 50% to $10 on Amazon right now, normally $20. Free as an audiobook with Spotify Premium. The narrator for this one also does a fantastic job.
From a feminist perspective, there are certain pieces to this book I disagree with regarding how certain parts of it are framed. However, there's still a lot of great parts to learn from. It begins by describing what these conditions or traits are like for the people who are experiencing them, and then goes on to speak directly to people who may be living with a person experiencing this condition or who may be suffering from abusive behaviors by people diagnosed with BPD and/or NPD.
Tumblr media
Nonviolent Communication by Marshall B. Rosenberg
Marked down 45% on Amazon, currently $11. This is a fantastic book for emotionally and vulnerably communicating with people in an effective way. There were plenty of parts in this that made me stop and think. The book is very centering and speaks from a very self-reflective place. I am hoping to read this again soon.
Also available free with Spotify Premium as an audiobook, and the narrator does a great job at speaking in a tone that evokes a sense of mindfulness, making it easier to retain the basic principles of the book.
Tumblr media
I hate you, don't leave me by Jerold J. Kreismen and Hal Straus.
An absolutely excellent book about borderline personality disorder, describing the people who experience this disorder with compassion yet also an objective lens while still speaking to how behaviors from those experiencing BPD can be self-destructive. There was a lot to this book and I listened to it as an audio book. I'm hoping to revisit it again in the future.
Currently $14 on Amazon.
Also available free as an audiobook with Spotify Premium.
Tumblr media
Growing up with a Schizophrenic Mother by Margaret J. Brown and Doris Parker Roberts.
This is such an underrated book! It's a fascinating read about the experiences of children (adults when interviewed for the book) who grew up with a schizophrenic mother. It's really clearly written. It is the only book in existence about what children with a mother experiencing schizophrenia go through, and places emphasis on the negative effects of the schizophrenic disorder while recognizing mothers as victims of the disorder too.
Currently about $20 on Amazon.

SP-High School Head Canons
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stan:
In high school, Stan got worse with Randy and Shelley. Due to that, he has gone through a deeper depression. What’s stopping him from spiraling down  are his mom and his frequent occurrences with a busy Kyle. He is really greasy and has painful acne  however is still quite popular, even joining football. Although his popularity he still dosent achieve Wendy’s heart (RIP :,( ) He has average grades and will often gets C and B. He is still a whale lover and wants to peruse in ocean biology and go to Seattle too. He dosent study much though and believes that a force will guide him too it if that’s what he’s meant to do. Even with his free time though his relationships are strained. Kyle is always busy. Cartman is not funnest to hang around if you have sanity left. Kenny is often working at jobs or with Cartman and Butters. And Butters… is Butters.  Stan tried to stay away from alcohol… but who knows how long that will last.
Kyle:
Kyle is still a nerd kid. He is also a try hard. He has practically given up on personal hygiene and has let his acne and hair run wild. He still has anger issues and now that he is striving for a perfect record for colleges, he can’t go and “save South Park from Cartman’s evil schemes” because that meant some blood on Kyle’s knuckles. So he lets his anger out in basketball where his height is an advantage. With all his work, basketball matches, studying, tutoring, and very little sleep. Kyle rarely ever gets to see his friend. Luckily for him, he has a very obsessed friend who is willing to sneak through is window and drag is ass outside. (Also Kyle still gets no bitches lol)
Cartman:
Him and Butters are the only ones who don’t have acne stricken faces. Not only that but Cartman’s hair is not greasy or filled with sticks and dead rats( cough Kenny cough). He is still a dramatic crybaby and still manipulative (AND FAT, OMG I FIND IT SO WEIRD WHEN THEY SLIM HIM DOWN OR SAY HE GREW INTO HIS FAT, HE DIDN’T) He gossips with Butters and Shelley and does skin care masks with them. He also has glasses because of his one brown eye that has gotten worse in sight( he couldn’t get Kenny to give him another eye) He dosent do any sports although has joked about joint the cheer leading team. For education, the teachers have given up on trying to fail Cartman so every year they let him cause they don’t want another year with his fat ass. Speaking of fat ass he is still super insecure and his mental gymnastics are slowing fading. What will happen when Cartman finally faces his demons?
Kenny:
Although being older and high school, Kenny hasn’t changed much. While yea he uses drugs to ease his pain from all his gruesome deaths he makes sure Karen dosent see any of it. He also still deeply cares for Karen. He tries to get Karen to go to her friends sleepovers as much as possible. He does the same, often crashing Cartman’s house due to his absent dad and neglectful mom doing the deeds. He works hard too, although unlike Kyle, who just helps in a public library, Kenny works for multiple jobs including waiter, janitor, cashier, etc. He hopes to move out with his friends and Karen, out of town.

in the spirit of xkcd's "did you know you can just buy labcoats?" , did you know you can just buy newspapers? some days it feels like any old shitposter can get a journalism job and spew high-velocity misinformation, like Aziah Siid at the Seattle Medium.
Tumblr media
You're the ones doing the starving here, fuckwits.
Thanks to food deserts — or as some folks call it, “food apartheid”
Thanks to bad reporting - or as some folks call it, "Nazi-style propaganda"
that's halfway through the first sentence and Siid has very effectively set the tone for an article of race-baiting, blame-shifting, inflammatory, connotation-smuggling, condescendingly ignorant, hyperbolic, partisan hackery.
there are cities across the United States where Black families have to drive several miles to access fresh food at a supermarket.
link does not support claim, link is just tangentially related article using the word "food desert". link says this:
Tumblr media
This gives me the impression that someone yelled "CITE SOURCES" at the journalist until the journalist did the malicious minimum of work to give the superficial appearance of a citation. The source "more than a quarter of a mile" does not support the article "drive several miles", and other problems.
Journalism delenda est.
That isn't even the topic yet, just a shitty lead-in. The topic:
But the lack of resources that disproportionately impacts Black communities isn’t limited to food or health care. Access to literature is also often limited in Black neighborhoods.
Interest in literature is also often limited in black neighborhoods. They have less desire for and less interest in books relative to whites.
Nearly half of American children live in a book desert — places that American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten defines as “neighborhoods that lack public libraries and stores that sell books, or in homes where books are an unaffordable or unfamiliar luxury.”
The linked article is by Randi Weingarten, but does not define "book desert" that way, as it does not use the word "desert" anywhere at all. Superficial appearance of citation again, journalism delenda est.
I'd call for Aziah Siid to be "fired" but there is nothing to fire her from. You can just buy newspapers. You can just write shitposts and have them published with fancy headings.
So I'm left reiterating: journalists lie, journalists spread disinformation, newspapers are full of shit, the profession attracts liars and incentivizes lying partly because it's loudly claimed to be fact-checkers, journalists can get away with contradicting someone and calling it a "fact check". It happens up and down the scale across the industry, from relative rando Aziah Siid, to upscale Keith Olbermann who has multiple awards for excellent journalism and he won't stop lying after repeated corrections.
If students don’t have books at home or in their neighborhood, they rely on what’s available in schools — in the classroom and campus library. But good luck finding banned and challenged books like “The Gift of Ramadan” by Rabiah York Lumbard and Laura K. Horton and “Sulwe” by Lupita Nyong’o and Vashti Harrison if students live in a place impacted by censorship.
"impacted" is such a wonderful weasel word that encourages the reader to imagine something maximally inflammatory with minimal commitment on the part of the journalist. There is no rebuttal that can be made here without Siid dodging that that's not what she meant by "impacted" - so I retort instead that it's content-free incitement and demagoguery. Journalism delenda est.
Similarly with "banned and challenged", where all the weighty connotation is being carried by the "banned" part, but all the truth of the sentence resides in the "challenged" part. I tried to find the specifics of the matter and as best I can tell, in one of the three thousand counties in the United States, The Gift of Ramadan was challenged for school review by partisan hacks and then got stuck in bureaucratic limbo in a poorly designed review process to determine whether it should be in schools in that county. Somewhere has to be the most fuckup county of 3000, and Duval County was it that year.
From the viewpoint of people who thought their book should be read by every student as a default, this cherry-picked one-county school-holdup felt like a "ban" despite the fact that the book remained available in bookstores.
What extraordinary entitlement.
The epicenter of these efforts? Florida and the attempts led by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis to eliminate the teaching of accurate U.S. history and kill off access to diverse books.
Stripped of the bombast: Florida rejected one specific Advanced Placement course on African American Studies. DeSantis claimed this was because the course was a bunch of thrown-together left-wing talking points including queer theory and climate action along with the black blackety blackness.
The College Board released an edited version of the course, and claimed this was nothing to do with Florida because they get feedback from lots of people.
That’s why as part of a larger effort to make books more accessible, and directly combat these anti-history book bans, the national nonprofit Little Free Library and creative marketing agency Venables Bell + Partners have teamed up on the Unbanned Book Club.
Tumblr media
Again with the use of "ban" for not using government resources to promote. Journalism delenda est, wordcels delenda est. The books are not banned, as shown by the fact that this project is legal. The vast majority of books in the world are not in any school, let alone every school; curricula change regularly; to call it "banned" that a book was removed from a school is a sort of linguistic robbery that steals the substance of word and leaves us with a confusion of tongues as of Babel.

Til The End Of Eternity || Chapter Four: To Catch a Changeling (4/?)
(Douxie Casperan x f!reader)

Chapter Summary: Y/n visit Douxie’s library

(Season 1 Episode 7)
Song?: Crush by Tessa Violet
Previous — Next
Masterlist
Tumblr media
“You look like shit” Randy hit the counter with some papers distracting Y/n from her computer.
“I feel like shit” Y/n closed the seventeen tabs she had opened looking for information about Killahead, all useless “I haven’t been sleeping well”
They shared a look for awhile. Y/n rolled her eyes. She knew her coworker very well by now. There was only one reason why he didn’t interrogated about her sleeping schedule: he needed something
“What do you want, Randy?” Y/n looked back at the computer, a picture of a rat eating a fry stared back at her.
“Okay, remember my idea of a battle of bands?” He didn’t give her time to answer “Well, I need to help to set it up and I know you are a musical genius so your input would be much appreciated and I won’t be able to do it without you…”
“Aha” She cut him off “Would I get paid?” She raised a brow.
“Yes! And…and the free afternoon right now so you can sleep”
“Wow! you really want me to help” she started to pick up her stuff before he could change his mind.
“Great! Thank you! Here, have flyer”
She took the piece of paper. The colorful flyer made her smile.
Randy always loved music. She remembered when his mother told her the story of how Randy had threatened to steal a guitar if she didn’t buy him one. Music was everything to him and he saw the same emotion in Y/n when they met. She always loved music, even before she could remember.
When she was six, Barbara took her to school for the first time and there, on music class, she touched a guitar for the first time and it felt like coming home.
Y/n doesn’t remember her biological parents but as a kid she liked to think that they loved music as much as she did but, as she grew, she stopped thinking about her biological parents and at seventeen she stopped playing completely until last year. Three months into college she got lost, hopeless. She didn’t like what she was studying and didn’t know what she wanted to do. One weekend, while visiting her family, Y/n heard a piano. Someone was trying to tune a piano and awfully failing. She felt like the strings were calling for her, asking her to end its misery.
Entering the music store she had spent too many hours browsing back in high school she saw two guys not much older than her debating if that is how the key was supposed to sound.
“It’s really not” Y/n got close to inspect their work.
“Hello? You need help looking for something?” The man with the long blonde hair asked.
“You’re doing a shitty job” she pointed to the man with his finger in the key.
“No shit. I don’t know I’m doing” he laughed.
She looked back and forth between them.
‘Maybe I can make a quick buck’ she thought.
“How much for tuning it?” She crossed her arms.
The blonde man looked at his watch and back to his friend and said:
“I’ll give you twenty bucks to tune it in half an hour”
Y/n laughed
“It can take up to two hours to tune it after god knows what you did”
“Hour and a half for thirty bucks”
“Forty five minutes and sixty dollars” she stretched her hand.
“Fifty”
“Deal” They shook hands.
She took her jacket off and started to work.
“I’m Y/n”
“Randy” the blonde said.
Tuning the piano made her feel something she thought lost, the feeling of home and she’ll always be grateful to Randy for that.
“Hello, Y/n”
“Hey, Douxie! How are you?”
“I’m fine. How about you?” He looked concerned.
Y/n knew she wasn’t looking her best. No one would be after the night she had.
“Oh, this awful eye bags? Courtesy of my little brother” she laughed.
“I didn’t know you had a brother”
“Yeah, he is still in high school. How about you? Got any siblings?”
“Nah, it’s just me and Archie” he point to the window of the library where a black cat was grooming himself.
“Oooh he is so cute” Y/n crouched down in front of the window.
Archie meowed and rubbed himself on the window as a response, melting Y/n’s heart.
“Don’t feed his ego too much. He’s a total diva”
Y/n laughed “I thought the guy with groupies would be the diva”
Douxie blushed.
She chuckled. She thought guys like Douxie didn’t blush.
“Are you jealous, love?”
Now it was Y/n’s time to blush.
They stood there, smiling at each other. Y/n found Douxie so intoxicating: his hazel eyes, his blue hair, that smile that brought her down to her knees. Even though they saw each other a few times, she was enchanted by him the first time.
“Would you like to say hi to him…you know…without the glass” Douxie broke the silence. He seemed nervous.
“That would be nice” she smiled.
Douxie opened the door to the library, the smell of books, tea and something else filled her lungs making her warm inside.
The moment she stepped inside, Archie rubbed himself between Y/n legs, stealing her attention from the beautiful library.
“Hello, sweet boy” she sat on the floor to pet Archie more comfortably.
“He likes you” said Douxie. He was leaning against one of the few walls that wasn’t covered in books “He isn’t usually that nice, you know”
Y/n swears she saw Archie roll his eyes but assumed her tiredness was playing tricks with her.
“He seems super nice to me” she rubbed Archie’s cheek and he let himself fall onto her hand.
“Oh, don’t let him trick you. He has a temper”
They both laughed and shared a look. The power Douxie has on her made her crazy. Ever since the day they met at Benoit’s, she couldn’t stop thinking about him. Every time she saw him she would stare at him like if she moved her eyes he would disappear.
“Battle of the bands? Are you entering the contest?” Douxie pointed to the flyer long forgotten on the floor.
“No, I’m just helping set it up. Are you interested?”
“Yes, I have a band…”
“Oh! Ash dispersal pattern, right? Randy is a big fan” she tried to play it cool. She couldn’t tell him that she knows most of his songs by heart “I heard some of your songs. You’re good”
She saw a red tint in his cheeks and this time, she was sure her tired brain wasn’t playing tricks on her.
“Thank you” he scratched the back of his neck “I heard you play the piano you have at the store. I thought you’ll enter”
“Mmmh, I’ve played since I’m kid but I don’t think I’m good enough to enter. I’m helping cuz Randy asked” she looked at Archie, he was belly up between her legs, napping.
“What?! I heard you at the store! You’re nuclear!” Douxie crouched next to her.
Y/n turned her head and looked at him “You think?”
With Douxie so close the world seemed to slow down. They were the only people in the world. Their faces just inches apart. So close that a small breeze could change everything.
“Of course” He smiled
The door opened and the world was no longer theirs. Douxie stood as fast as he could and assisted the customer.
Y/n looked down at Archie, who was already looking at her and smiled. Her face was so hot that she thought it would explode.
She yawned and Archie mirrored, the last of her energy left with Douxie.
“Sorry, Archie but I have to go” she stood up and petted his head one last time “Maybe I’ll see you later. Tell Douxie I said goodbye”
Y/n fell on her bed like a bag of sand. Her body gave into sleep before she could take her shoes off.
When she opened her eyes, she was in a forest. Civilisation was nowhere to be seen. The air smelled fresh, familiar.
She kneeled in one of the trees and saw a heart with H written inside. A smile erupted from her chest. She mindlessly caressed the indentation, trying to remember something, someone, but she just couldn’t reach it. Only finding a warmth feeling in her chest.
“Y/n! Where are you?” A man’s raspy voice distracted from the tree “Come home, little bird”
A sword made of sadness and forge by loneliness stabbed her chest. Her eyes filled with tears.
“I don’t know where I am” she whispered as a tear fell down her face, burgundy streaks of light surrounded her. Electricity ran through her body burning her fingertips and heart.
She looked at her hands, they were surrounded by red smoke.
Y/n woke up covered in sweat, her heart was racing but she felt fully rested. She looked at her hands and when she saw no red smoke, she relaxed.
Outside the sun had already set. She looked through her phone to see if her brother or mom had sent a text. Jim sent her a text telling her about her study date with Claire. She smiled. Jim had a crush on this girl from his class for a while now and apparently it was going somewhere. She wished him luck even if hours had passed. When she went to answer a text from Randy Toby called.
She couldn’t understand what he was saying, only the words: changeling and dental hygienist.
“Ok, Tobes I’m on my way”
Y/n jumped out of bed and drove as fast as she could to Dr. Muelas office. She would probably get a lot of tickets but she didn’t care. Knowing what she knows now, she couldn’t risk disregarding a call from Jim or Toby.
“Toby? Jim?” She screamed as she followed the sound of struggle.
She got to the door and saw her brother stabbing a troll followed by a flashing blue light.
“There goes proof” said Aaaargh!.
“Oh, my gosh! She’s in my mouth!” Toby coughed. The troll’s ashes were everywhere.
Y/n couldn’t move.
“Oh no! I killed our only evidence of a changeling in Arcadia” Jim pulled his armour off.
“And my dental hygienist” Toby screamed.
Y/n laughed. Toby could make her laugh even on her worst days.
“You finished the fight, Master Jim, and in self defense, for that matter. Vendel may continue to have his doubts but we continue to have our lives. A fair bargain, I’d say” Blinky tried to comfort him.
“He’s right, Jim” Y/n grabbed his brother by the shoulders trying to make sure her eyes didn’t deceive her and he was ok.
“Y/n? What are you doing here?”
“Toby called”
“And just out of curiosity, what are you doing in Toby’s dentist office?” Jim looked at the trolls.
“I thought it was possible that danger may come to either of you should you cross paths with the wrong changeling. So, we followed Tobias as a precaution” explained Blinky
Aaaargh! Fell from the ceiling making Y/n jump.
Blinky started talking about how he was curious about human’s oral hygiene but Y/n didn’t listen. She was more worried about dusting the troll off her brother before getting to her car.

High Praise for All Teachers and Librarians Everywhere!
Now that summer is here and school is out, please take a moment to visit your local public library. The Cost of ‘Free Black Thought’
By: Randy Souther
Published: May 24, 2024
In December of 2022, I published on our university library website a research guide consisting of a bibliography of black writers with heterodox views on a wide variety of topics. By May of 2023, five months later, I had been labeled a racist, placed on administrative leave, and targeted for firing.
The bibliography was created and compiled by folks at an organization called Free Black Thought[1] whose mission is, in their own words, to represent the rich diversity of black thought beyond the relatively narrow spectrum of views promoted by mainstream outlets. Although their website contains a variety of resources, my librarian’s eye was immediately drawn to their bibliography, which they named the Compendium of Free Black Thought.[2] They presented it as an open access work and encouraged folks to use it as they see fit.
What I saw was a fascinating compendium of writers, some of whom I recognized, but most of whom I was not familiar with, that I thought would be a useful resource at my library. We try to promote marginalized voices, particularly black voices, but this seemed to be a subset of those voices that we don’t often promote.
In the fall semester of 2022 I worked on converting a portion of this bibliography into a LibGuide, and by December, my work on the bibliography was mostly complete. I announced the bibliography to my library via Slack, a business communication and social media app that we use extensively. The first commenter on Slack set the tone indicating numerous concerns, including that some of the bibliography entries seem to them anti-black and some seemed outright racist. There were concerns that the bibliography did not represent our values and that it sought to undermine black activism. There were concerns that I had not consulted with anyone inside or outside of the library with expertise in Black studies. I was asked, “does the devil need more advocates?”
Over the holiday break, I received an email from a university vice provost indicating that they had received complaints about the bibliography and that they would set up a meeting with me to discuss the situation. That this had jumped from the library to the upper levels of the university administration was alarming. I felt at this point that my job was in jeopardy, so I turned my focus from my library colleagues to the administration and asked for union representation at the forthcoming meeting. At the meeting, the vice provost suggested that they were neutral in this dispute and were simply relaying the concerns of the librarians who had made the complaints. The concerns now were that the bibliography was not rigorous or academic, that I had not consulted with subject experts, that I hadn’t critically evaluated the bibliography, and that the bibliography would cause reputational harm to the library. At the end of the meeting, the vice provost said they would be in touch with next steps.
With this meeting over, I turned my attention back to my library colleagues. After consulting with my union representative, I made the decision to take down the bibliography as it simply was not worth all the trouble that it was causing. I wrote an email to my colleagues stating that I had taken down the bibliography and hoped that gesture would allow us to have a discussion. I explained my reasons for publishing the bibliography, using the Heterodox Academy principles of open inquiry, viewpoint diversity, and constructive disagreement[3] as the context within which I valued the bibliography. I talked about my personal interest in terms of intellectual curiosity and the delight that I found in discovering certain authors. I also talked about my regrets in how all this unfolded, and my wish that I had managed constructive disagreement better.
This was not what my colleagues wanted to hear, and it made them even angrier. I was accused of inappropriately centering myself instead of my colleagues. The next day, with no warning, my colleagues from a department that shares reference desk duties with my department began boycotting their reference desk shifts, later stating that they had done so because I had not acknowledged the harm done to my colleagues, and further stating that they did not feel safe when anti-black and racist ideologies are platformed. I later learned that the library dean was aware of this action beforehand and did nothing to prevent it. Finally, I offered a brief apology to everyone, sincerely stating that I was sorry for the hurt that the bibliography had caused, that the manner that it had been introduced had been poorly managed, and that overall its publication had been a mistake. All of this I felt was true. I did not apologize for the content of the bibliography, however, because there was nothing improper about it. There was no response and the boycott continued.
At the end of January, I met with the library dean and he asked me for an update on the situation. I said I was waiting for the next steps that were promised by the vice provost. He informed me that there would be no further involvement from the administration at any level and that and that it was up to me to resolve things. I then held a meeting to update my department on the news from the dean. I let them know that after taking down the bibliography, explaining my reasoning for publishing it, and offering an apology, I was at a loss as to how to move forward.
Instead of offering help, they informed me that they would be asking the dean to replace me as department head and to disallow me from serving at the reference desk. At that, I adjourned the meeting. It must be said that although this meeting was emotionally intense, it was also calm and respectful on both sides. No voices were raised, and no harsh words were spoken. Nonetheless, a few hours later, I received a text from the union president telling me to expect an email from the library dean placing me on administrative leave. He said a number of librarians had told the dean that they were concerned for their safety. The email followed placing me on leave and banning me from the university, but it did not state for what reason. To this day I have not received a direct answer about this but have discovered that it followed from the department meeting detailed earlier.
With no explanation and no investigation, I was removed from the university for several months for being a threat to my colleagues. During this time, I had almost no contact with anyone in the library, but the attacks from my colleagues continued. They wrote a letter to me and the union leadership demanding that I step down from my position as one of the union representatives for the library. In the letter, they characterized me as, quote, “someone who espouses or condones racist and harmful views.” In short, I was branded a racist. In April, the library dean proposed that I could return to the library stripped of all librarian duties and performing instead duties of vacant staff positions and with an extreme schedule of late nights and weekends. In response, the union filed a grievance on my behalf. The grievance process forced movement from the administration and my eventual return to the library appeared likely.
With my return on the horizon, my colleagues mounted one last attack. A long letter to human resources that reframed their complaints as violations of HR conduct policies, and included a new charge: plagiarism, as well as a request that HR fire me from the university. I wrote a robust rebuttal, and HR ultimately determined that I violated no policy, no rule, no regulation or law. Administratively, I was cleared. In July, I returned to the library as a librarian, but minus my department head roles. My relationships, with a few notable exceptions, were in tatters, and the library environment was cold and unfriendly.
In the aftermath, I’ve asked myself how how this might have happened differently. With so many variables, I find it difficult to answer this question. The library administration could have chosen to mediate this dispute, but instead they fanned the flames and ultimately lost control of the situation. This was the most significant factor that prevented us from finding a way forward. That nearly all communications occurred electronically rather than in person was a significant factor impeding progress also. In particular, Slack, with its social media elements rewarded emotional responses. This isn’t a problem when the emotions are positive as they normally are, but when they’re negative, things spiral downward very quickly. And as I said to my colleagues on multiple occasions, I agree with them that consulting with others before publishing the bibliography might have changed the tenor and direction of this situation.
I have learned that constructive disagreement is hard and clearly requires more practice.

"Critically evaluated" is a codeword meaning that it doesn't comply with Critical Theory, which views black disagreement with oppressor-vs-oppressed dynamics as "false consciousness" and "internalized racism."
"Harmful views" and "reputational harm to the library" are phrases deliberately invoked in an attempt to circumvent having to explain themselves, when really they just disagree.

Top 5 weird objects you own
This is a REALLY good one and I've thought about it all day and only dug up two. Maybe the others will trigger in writing them out?
1. A Randy Savage Funko pop
2. A postcard of Bigfoot flipping the bird in front of a well-painted Mount Hood. I bought it just for the art
3. A book from the YouTube little free library called Killer Flies in which people get rekt by flies the size of soda cans and larger iirc

Squideo’s Favourites: WALL·E 🌱
Released in 2008 as Pixar Animation Studio’s ninth feature film, its third since the company was purchased by the Walt Disney Company in 2006, WALL·E had been in the works since the nineties. Created by Andrew Stanton and Pete Docter, this fast classic has become one of Pixar’s standout films. So much so that Disney pushed for an Academy Award Best Picture nomination.
Controversially, this wasn’t accepted by the judges but WALL·E did go on to win their Best Animated Feature prize, and also scooped it up at the BAFTAs, Golden Globes, Hugo Awards, People’s Choice Awards, Saturn Awards, and many more. It even scored two Grammys for Randy Newman and Peter Gabriel’s music performances.
We’re diving into the production behind this animated film, exploring the style and techniques which came together to create this compelling story.
Creating a Story
When Andrew Stanton first came up with the idea for WALL·E, the premise was simple: “what if mankind left Earth and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off?” This was first pitched in 1994 when the young company was thinking about its future films, yet WALL·E wouldn’t start production until 2003 – eventually making it onto screens in 2008.
Stanton continued to develop the idea of a Robinson Crusoe robot with Pete Docter in the nineties, even as both went on to direct other Pixar projects – Finding Nemo (2003) and Monsters, Inc (2001) respectively. There was doubt, however, that this film could be pulled off. Pixar had created anthropomorphised robots before in its first animated short Luxo Jr. (1986). The lamp depicted in this short would become Pixar’s mascot, but was a feature film about a robot something that could be compellingly animated?
Tumblr media
What helped to move WALL·E into production was the release of the massively successful Finding Nemo. Like robots, fish weren’t expressive. Like outer space, water was difficult to animate. And yet they pulled it off, releasing what became the highest-grossing animated feature film of all time up to that point and Pixar’s first Academy Award winner. Directed by Stanton, he now had the attention of the company who were eager to hear his next idea.
“WALL-E was a very conscious dive into risk. I knew nobody really wanted to make it. But I also knew nobody could say no to me because Nemo was just so big… we’d been so successful at that point that we could afford the hiccup. If we called it wrong economically or critically, we’d survive it.” Andrew Stanton
The film centred on two robots who only spoke when communicating their names and directives. The majority of WALL·E’s first half is largely free of dialogue, with the exception of live-action recordings from Hello, Dolly! (1969) and Buy n Large’s owner. Many robot characters only converse with chirps and beeps, and the only robot with full lines of dialogue is 2001: A Space Odyssey-inspired villain Auto.
youtube
Key to getting WALL·E into production was the approval of Steve Jobs, who was Pixar’s primary investor and acted as their co-founder and chairman. Jobs split his time at Pixar with Apple where, in 2004, an exciting new product was announced to a select number of people: the development of the first iPhone. The developments at Apple ended up having a profound impact on WALL·E, with the team at Pixar receiving prototype phones before the general public. The film was punctuated throughout with Apple references, using the sound of the Mac boot-up chime when WALL·E finishes charging, and the iPod and iPhone inspiring EVE’s design.
The story is built on themes of environmentalism and global catastrophe, examining consumerism and complacency. One of Pixar and Disney’s most politically themed films, WALL·E attracted conservative criticism but that didn’t stop it from performing at the box office: grossing $532 million worldwide. Receiving widespread acclaim, WALL·E became the second Pixar feature film to be preserved by the National Film Registry and Library of Congress in 2021. In 2022, WALL·E also became Pixar’s first film selected by The Criterion Collection.
Animation Style
While other Pixar films typically generated between 50 and 75,000 storyboards for each production, WALL·E ended up with over 125,000 drawings and 96,000 storyboards. A lot of thought had to go into the character’s design, since their emotions would have to be conveyed physically rather than verbally.
“Robots are a huge challenge, because robots are function-based machines. When you’re drawing them, you can only make up so much stuff that doesn’t actually function, or the person looking at them, even if they’re not engineers themselves, they’re going to notice that that joint wouldn’t actually work. So it became important to look at actual robots. You can only make so much up out of your head.” Jason Dreamer
The team looked at a variety of robots, including those made for bomb disposal. For Jim Reardon, head of story for WALL•E, it was important that they didn’t “draw human-looking robots with arms, legs, heads and eyes, and have them talk. We wanted to take objects that you normally wouldn’t associate with having humanlike characteristics and see what we could get out of them through design and animation.”
To help, Stanton arranged film screenings of classic silent films from the likes of Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton to show how silent film actors told stories without reliance on dialogue.
Tumblr media
To create the wasteland that WALL·E is left behind in, the animators looked at everything from local dumps to the abandoned city of Chernobyl. For the modern ship Axiom, they looked to Disneyland’s Tomorrowland and cruise ships. To design the human characters, they consulted with physiologist James Hicks to find out the effects of atrophy and prolonged weightlessness while living in space, proving that no detail was too small for the team behind WALL·E.
All of these considerations created a future that seems tangible, and helps to drive the importance of the film’s themes. WALL·E ends on an optimistic note, with Jim Capobianco’s end credits which show the evolution of humanity through different schools of art. For audiences facing the realities of climate change and environmental destruction, this confidence in the power of humanity to fix our world is the right ending. Perhaps explaining why it is one of the few Pixar films to receive no sequel or animated shorts. The story is perfect as it is.

"Next...Next...Nex-Oh he's cute!" Y/n gives Mika a dirty look. The two girls were currently in Y/n's apartment, going through the submissions for the contest. The contest ended two days ago and the girl had gotten around 1k submissions. She had already gone through 10 submissions alone, now she has her friend with her and they are trying to go through the rest together.
Mika didn't want to go through the submissions with her, but with the promise of free food and one hundred dollars, Mika caved.
"What? Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Because you know he's ugly." She points to her laptop which has a picture of a guy. "Come on he's not that bad! Ok let's look at his entry form!" Mika snatches the laptop and starts reading things out. everything about him seems normal until they get to his sexual interests.
"Ok, so it looks like he enjoys bondage, roleplay, sla- WHAT THE FUCK!" Y/n looks at Mika with crossed arms and a raised brow.
"He's into weird shit isn't he?"
"What the hell is a slave kink?! Like does he want you to call him Massa and tell you to take his conservative dick?!" Y/n falls out in laughter at Mika's disturbing words. "Yeah immediate no! I'm deleting this submission, fuck that!" Mika does just as she said, and deletes the entry, closing the laptop right after.
"That's enough for today, let's go get something to eat." Y/n groans and shakes her head, "Mika come on! I have to get this done!"
"And we will! But you promised me food and after that slave shit, I need some food. Let's go to Randy's and get a burger or something!"
The two girls leave the apartment, making their way to Randy's. The diner wasn't that far from her apartment, with it being a college town and all it was easy to travel on foot.
They make it to the diner pretty quick and walk to their usual seat. As they are walking, Y/n gets a phone call from her mom. “Hold on, I have to take this.” She walks back towards the door, completely missing Mika accidentally bumping into someone, "oh shit my-Matt?" Matt smiles awkwardly seeing the girl from the library.
"H-Hey Mika, how are you?" He adjusts his glasses and his backpack, putting more of his weight on his right foot rather than his left. "I'm good! Hey, did you ever send that girl the picture? you never updated me and everyone else on it." He laughs shyly, rubbing his neck.
"I uh yeah I did…I actually sent a video." Mika claps excitedly.
“That’s great! What did she say?! Are you guys going out now!? Did you have sex!?” A few people give them weird looks making Matt’s cheeks burn a bright red. He gives the guests of the diner an apologetic smile before turning back to Mika, “I-umm. Y-yeah she liked it… and no we haven’t gone out yet but s-she did like it.”
He does his best to make his lie believable. It’s not like he could tell the girl that he submitted a video of him drunk and jerking off to a cam girl. She would probably call him a weird loser…or maybe even an incel.
“Well, at least she liked it! Hopefully, you get a girl soon!” She playfully nudges him making him laugh.
“Sorry, it was my mom asking me how school is going.” Y/n walks up attempting to put her phone back in her purse. Matt’s eyes widen seeing the girl approaching them. He feels his body run cold and he quickly looks down, “S-sorry Mika I-I have t-to go!” He rushes past the two, bumping shoulders with Y/n as he darts out of the diner.
"Well, he was weird." Y/n mumbles, eyeing the boy through the windows. She watches as he climbs into a sleek black car. Mika gently hits her arm, "Shut up! He's not weird he's just really shy. He's actually a really nice guy. He's supposed to go out with me and the girls soon." Mika explains as they sit down.
They order their food and it’s soon brought to them.
"What were you talking about with Matt anyway?" Mika finishes chewing before answering the question.
"Sasha had asked him randomly if he ever took a dick pick after Jordan sent her one-Wait Jordan sent her a dick pic? Even after he cheated on her?-Yeah and it was a shitty one too! Made up for nothing! Anyway, Matt said he never took one but he had the opportunity to send one to a girl. So we decided to help him, teach him the best way to take the best picture."
Y/n scrunches her face up, "Wait, you had to help him take a picture of his junk? Is he like a virgin or something?'' Mika shrugs and dips her fry into her shake.
"I'm pretty sure, I mean don't get me wrong, he's cute, but he's super shy and awkward. I'm surprised he even wanted to send a dick pic considering he seemed really interested in his studies." Y/n hums and plays around with her food, her mind stuck on the boy with glasses.
Tumblr media
Y/n huffs for what seems like the thousandth time. She's been home for about two hours now since going out with Mika. Her time was spent still going through all the submissions. She found a few people she would choose so she wrote their names down before continuing.
"Why did I do this to myself?" She mutters as she fixes the blue light glasses on her face. She feels her mouth getting dry, so she exits her room to grab a glass of water. When she walks back, she sees her cat walking along the keyboard of her laptop.
“You’re so annoying,” she grumbles walking to her bed. She sets her cup down on her nightstand before moving the brown cat. She goes to close her laptop, wanting to deal with the entries tomorrow, but stops in her tracks seeing a familiar face on her screen.
“There’s no way.” She thinks to herself.
She snatches the laptop and stares at the entry infront of her.
There’s no way that’s him…Right?
She sits down on her bed, analyzing the picture. It looks just like the boy from the diner, glasses and all. Granted she wasn’t able to get a good look at him due to him rushing past her with his head down but she had to admit,
He was attractive.
He had a bit of a beard, not a burly one but one that enhanced his jawline. He had brown hair that looked as if he ran his fingers through it multiple times. His face was adorned by a pair of oval brown glasses, complimenting his facial features well. His eyes were a dull blue, looking as if he was tired when taking the picture.
If Mika’s claims are true with him being into his studies, it was most likely he was studying when taking the picture.
She opens up his application and begins to read his answers.
She finds herself smiling when she reads about his hobbies, finding it interesting that he’s majoring in film. She begins to wonder what his favorite movies are. She reads that he loves Lego sets and looks over to the unopened boxes of Legos on her desk.
Wanting to know more about him, she continues.
“Triplet? Jesus Christ his mom had her hands full.” Her curiosity is peaked and she grabs her phone and opens up Instagram.
She searches for his name and clicks on the first profile. Sure enough, it’s his account.
He only has 100 followers, most of them being family and the few people he met in school. She scrolls through his pictures and comes to the conclusion that he has a simple life.
Lots of pictures of him and his brothers, some of him and his parents, and some with a dog.
She throws her phone down and goes back to his form.
She gets to his sexual interests and to her surprise, she finds that he doesn’t have any, stating that he doesn’t know of his interests but is open to almost anything.
Most guys his age would know their kinks and what they prefer in bed by now.
“Maybe he only has had vanilla sex.” She looks at her cat, waiting for the animal to answer.
When the cat doesn’t answer, she looks back at the screen.
There’s no way he’s a virgin…Right? He watches her streams, he couldn’t be a virgin.
She wants to text Mika and tell her about Matt's entry, but she doesn’t want to put Matt’s business out there, especially if he’s as shy and closed off as Mika makes him out to be.
She reads the rest of his entry before getting to the first video.
She adjusts the way she’s sitting and takes a sip of water before pressing play.
“Take five,” she giggles hearing the annoyance in his voice.
She watches the video and is surprised to hear his words. Most of the entry videos have been people saying that the reason they should win is because they have money, or they will give her the best dick of her life. They were cocky and Y/n found that unattractive.
She didn’t grow up with a lot of money, so people flaunting it and spending it like crazy rubbed her in all the wrong ways.
Matt on the other end was a bit more soft spoken and actually treating her like she was human, admitting that none of the other contenders should be able to take her out due to her being too good for them. He also didn't flaunt his money, granted he was a college student so he was probably broke anyway but,
It was a change of pace that she loved.
She knew what she was getting into when becoming a cam girl, being treated like she was an object rather than a human. His words made her feel,
Good.
The video ends and her heart races when she scrolls down. She was expecting to see a picture of his dick, not a video that’s 10 minutes long.
The thumbnail is of Matt in bed, getting ready to pull his pants down.
She hesitates as she presses play.
The video starts with shuffling being heard before Matt’s body clumsily falls onto the bed.
She notices the only sources of light are purple LED's and a sunlamp casting a warm glow onto the bed.
She finds herself attracted to the setting, it was almost cinematic. The way the lights cast a spotlight on him, an aura of orange, yellow, and purple covering his body.
She watches his tattooed arm pull his laptop closer, noticing an old stream of hers being pulled up. He hooks his fingers into his sweats, before releasing his hard and aching cock.
Y/n’s mouth waters.
He seemed to be about a good 7 inches, having a mushroom top. It wasn’t that girthy, but she knew that it would feel mind-blowing, especially with the thick vein running up the side.
He presses play on the video and begins to jerk himself off, spitting on his own cock.
She feels that familiar ache in between her legs.
His moans and whimpers sound like music to Y/n.
“Fuck Y/n.” She clenches her legs hearing him moan her name, loving the way it rolls off his tongue, piercing her ears and making her slick worse.
She quickly pauses the video and grabs her cat, setting the animal outside of her room and closing the door. She rushes back over to her bed and grabs the vibrator from her nightstand, quickly stripping herself of her clothes.
Usually, she would do a bit of foreplay, but she couldn’t wait. She could feel the slick between her folds, the mound between her legs aching and pleading to be touched.
She lays back on the bed and presses play on the video, immediately pushing her vibrator in between her wet folds.
Her eyes roll back at the relief, letting out a deep sigh.
She looks back at her laptop and sees Matt’s head is thrown back, his hand working hard to chase his impending orgasm.
“F-fuck Matt!” She moans hearing him moan her name once again.
“P-please let me cum m-mommy, I’ll be a good boy!” His submissive pleas do something to Y/n, unlocking a part of her that she didn’t even know was there.
She never found herself interested in guys calling her mommy, thinking they had some type of mommy issues and wanting her to baby them. But for some reason, she loved hearing Matt call her mommy and beg.
She could tell that he was close by the way he sped up his hand and the way his chest moved up and down quickly. She’s close as well, the urge to “pee” only getting stronger as the vibrations go on.
“Fuck fuck fu-“ she watches as his head hangs low biting his lip, his stomach clenching as white ribbons spurt out, some landing on his chest and face.
She yelps and arches her back as she makes a mess on her sheets. She swipes the vibrator back and forth, prolonging the orgasm as her body shakes.
She closes her eyes and swallows harshly as she tries to catch her breath, turning the vibrator off and throwing it to the side.
She opens her eyes and stares at the ceiling her mind fuzzy and filled with images of her and Matt and what a night together would look like.
After a few moments she sits up and grabs her laptop, drafting and email.
Y/e/[email protected]: hello Matt, I wanted to email you personally instead of through Chaturbate! This email is letting you know that you are the winner of the competition 💕 If you would no longer like to participate and would like me to choose another winner, please respond to the email stating so. Otherwise, respond to this email with the days you are free, and where you would like to meet for our date.
Can’t wait to see you again, maybe this time you won’t be as shy and you will actually look at me 💕
Xoxo, Y/n
She sends the email and smiles to herself, standing up and throwing on her robe.
She opens the door and sees her cat looking at her, “sorry miss lady, momma had to handle business. Let’s get dinner started.”
She walks into the kitchen and begins cooking dinner, her mind still on Matt.

2 Kings 9: 11-13. "The Maniac."
Tumblr media
The Hebrew word for maniac is m'shuga, which means, "footloose, untethered, unwrapped." It is also a term that has roots in the characteristics of a prophet which explains their anointed status and why they say and behave in strange ways.
Why is it relevant to call a man of God, sent by the Prophet Elisha a m'shug?
11 When Jehu went out to his fellow officers, one of them asked him, “Is everything all right? Why did this maniac come to you?”
“You know the man and the sort of things he says,” Jehu replied.
12 “That’s not true!” they said. “Tell us.”
Jehu said, “Here is what he told me: ‘This is what the Lord says: I anoint you king over Israel.’”
13 They quickly took their cloaks and spread them under him on the bare steps. Then they blew the trumpet and shouted, “Jehu is king!”
Cloaks which are of the purest white, are a symbol of Kohanim, the Temple High Priests, which the script says were behaving like a bunch of randy soldiers when a young prophet shows up to ascend a new king. He did his duty and ran, leaving the new sovereign behind, feeling kind of foolish.
The Kohanim consider the prophet's task legitimate and pay homage. The comment about bare steps refers to the requirement for bare feet during victory oblations.
Very nice bare feet are a sign of intense Jewishness because in order for the feet to remain soft, ruddy and supple like they are supposed, the environment around their owner must be spic and span, free of debris, filth, or injury.
Just as the Kohanim used their white cloaks to cover the bare steps imply the temple or military barracks were bleached pure white, so the soul must be purest white in order to lay down the cleanest tracks for the feet.
One would not convey a new king along a route that was unclean or littered, nor would his court or the Assembly agree to any such thing.
The Values in Gematria for the above verses are as follows:
v. 11: the Value in Gematria is 13533, יג‎ה‎גג‎‎, "a roof." The Hebrew word for roof is gag, and the presence of a young prophet under the roof is the beginning of the three part analysis method called Chabad, Chochmah, Binah, Da'at, "hypothesis, data, evidence" via "a spiritual exposure":
"The housetop seems to indicate a certain spiritual exposure. Someone on the housetop opens himself for something, preferable something soothing, or higher.
Since societies at large were often referred to as houses (particularly the "houses" of the national deity), their "roofs" might refer to the apex in information technology and ultimately national councils, where conversant senators came to exchange and discuss the latest intel.
The alphabet was arguably the most sophisticated thing to come out of the Bronze Age, but the literary traditions that carried it went much beyond what we today call a good yarn. Mankind's most ancient stories contain a level of complexity that is truly mind boggling.
Whether by intuition, natural selection or some other technique, the ancient stories that we know so well are the mere wrappings of vast data banks and pools of wisdom, ranging from the Standard Model of Elementary Particles to Relativity Theory, evolution theory, cosmology, sociology, psychology and an untold library of technologies.
v. 12: the Value in Gematria is 8439, חדגט‎, hadget, "cut through to the winepress of vision."
v. 13: the Value in Gematria is 7012, זאֶפֶסאב‎, zefesab, "what God hides within something that is fashioned."
"The verb עצב ('asab II) means to form or fashion. It's used only twice in the Bible. Job declares YHWH formed him (Job 10:8), and Jeremiah writes about women making images of a goddess (Jeremiah 44:19). In both cases, something is fashioned in the image of something else, with the intent of forging an emotional bond with that creation.
The derivatives of this verb are:
The masculine noun עצב ('eseb), literally meaning something fashioned. It's used only once, in Jeremiah 22:28, where the prophet speaks of king Coniah (=Jehoiachin) as a despised vessel.
The masculine noun עצב ('oseb), meaning idol (Isaiah 48:5 only).
The masculine noun עצב ('asab), also meaning idol (Isaiah 10:11, Jeremiah 50:2, Hosea 4:17). This word occurs always in plural."
Until there is proof of intuition, everything we think we perceive is just an idol. Even the making of a king is just the forging of another idol until the man acts like a king. It is ideal if he starts doing so when he is the Prince, but that is on another planet far far away.
If the Prince and the King cannot prove they are men, and not idols made in the images of goddesses the prophet that appoints them is just a m'shugana. If the prophet is correct, then as the Melachim says, the ground becomes hallow and is safe for all men to walk upon, completely unlike how it was when Ahab and Jezebel were in charge of things.
