Hello.

In your latest post you suggested that after discovering the truth Snake might either stay with the Phantomhives or leave after taking the kids to safety. If the latter would ultimately happen, do you think he and his snakes somehow meet Prince Soma and join him? I mean, when we last had seen the prince shortly after Agni's death, it didn't look like his story ender but rater was a setup for future arc. He and Snake would somehow bond over their conflicted feeling towards R!Ciel (Soma's grasping at the idea the person he considered his little brothe has an actual evil twin and Snake's coming to terms with the idea someone he trusted witholded the truth from him and, no matter the reasons, was responsible for the circus crew's deaths).

Leave or stay?

It does look as though Soma was being set up to come back into the story, and I'm not sure if he really knows just yet which twin he's supposed to oppose the most. Our earl wanted Soma and Agni to leave for their own safety, but he just couldn't express that. Then Agni was killed by Polaris under real Ciel's orders. Soma's got reasons to fight both of them, but he might decide to just keep away from both of them. Even with the Right Hand of Kali, he's probably not a match for Polaris or Sebastian.

Snake also has plenty of reason to either oppose them both or get away from them altogether. Even with his snakes, idk if he could do much to Polaris, and we know he's no match for Sebastian. About trust, Snake learns to trust our earl, who has lied to him at least twice now (infiltrating the circus, then lying about his friends' fates)... but the same goes for him trusting Doll. It's through our earl he finds out his circus mates were kidnapping children, and Doll has just confessed to lying about herself at the orphanage. I expect him to confront Doll about the children she helped kidnap, because that's something she still hasn't admitted to him. He (and Finny) will have to point out they were never innocent when they were killed, despite the way she's trying to make it sound. They were kidnapping kids for their "Father", and they had been ordered to kill "Ciel". It's not like our earl hunted them down; most of them showed up on his estate, intending to kill him. I also hope that either Snake or Finny points out that Doll is now under the orders of our earl's older twin, the real Ciel Phantomhive... and ask her what she thinks of that...!

If Snake leaves and runs across Soma, they could be a powerful duo, plus those snakes, but idk if it's enough to gain them much in the way of revenge. They'd be better off teaming up to find new lives elsewhere. Those snakes might enjoy Bengal....

Correction: The circus troupe had orders to capture our earl and take him to "Father", not to kill him. Kelvin would have killed him/had the doc kill him as entertainment... with the hope of dying the same way the other cultists had that night.

tbh tho we're in the same boat, I also feel like I mostly heard Bad Stuff/lots of Criticism of the Bond books. But honestly. I think esp after watching Spectre. It was like. how much worse can these books be lol. actually, quite good!!! idk why ppl give Fleming so much flak? Honestly, Iiii feel like these are on par with the Sherlock Holmes books. Which for Some Reason seem to have a reputation as being, like Intellectual and for the Erudite. but like. cmon surely these are at least on par. in terms of writing and vibe. like sure Sherlock Holmes is framed explicitly as like, Intellectual due to the detective shit and whatever. ce matin je suis rentrée dans la cuisine et j'ai dit à n. i don't want it to be a day today. ou i don't want to day today. je sais plus, ça sonnait poétique. elle m'a dit so stay in bed et j'ai crié no! ce qui veut dire que je suis pas complètement dépressive? à la maison j'adore me lever, enfin ça me dérange pas, j'adore le matin, même quand j'ai envie de mourir, rien ne m'enlève mon envie de déjeuner le matin. ici non. j'ai jamais envie de me lever alors je me lève à dix heures et je mange mon porridge à midi et j'aime pas. j'ai ramené mon ordi dans la cuisine pour écrire pendant qu'elle faisait du pain et puis d. m'a fait fuir avec sa mega boombox à fond les ballons alors j'en ai profité pour enfin aller faire les courses, j'ai acheté un million de fruits et de légumes pour treize euros et puis je suis partie me promener sur la karl-marx-allee, très impressionnante et soviétique. j'ai pris le tram à frankfurter tor et ça m'a rappelé l'existence de tout un pan de la ville où j'avais l'habitude d'aller à chaque fois que je venais à berlin mais où je suis pas encore retournée depuis que je suis ici. cette ville est trop grande, j'arriverai jamais à l'avaler.

on avance on avance on arrive aux jours à deux chiffres bientôt la moitié du mois! la psy me répond plus j'espère qu'elle va pas me laisser tomber comme celle de l'année dernière sinon je suis obligée d'en chercher une autre ou alors je déménage directement à bruxelles et je vais chez le psy de r. hahahaha il y a déjà envoyé une de ses amies (la fille qui a réalisé son clip) donc il doit avoir des dispos. hier soir y avait une psy sur scène. elle était psy et poète. peut être que c'est elle qu'il me faudrait. elle avait l'air légèrement mal à l'aise sur scène, pas très sûre d'elle. c'est la seule qui a fait une lecture simple, sans accompagnement musical. c'était en allemand et j'ai pas trop compris de quoi ça parlait mais après sa lecture j'ai noté bonne maison fil doré et maison dorée sur mon téléphone. y avait aussi une performance en portugais, c'était un couple de femmes butch dont une qui me perturbait beaucoup parce qu'elle me faisait penser à liliane avec son visage gentil maquillé comme une dame, j'avais même l'impression de sentir son parfum, mais au lieu des cheveux blonds de liliane elle avait une coupe mullet brune avec le dessus coupé en brosse très années 80. c'était liliane dans une autre vie. elle était musicienne et sa compagne était poète. elle tournait le bouton d'une radio en faisant semblant de changer de fréquence pour faire une bande son de grésillements et de morceaux de chansons et d'infos pendant que l'autre lisait ses poèmes. j'ai beaucoup aimé le moment où y avait une chanson pop très dansante catchy pendant qu'elle disait suddenly you think: i've never been here before this life is entirely new the faces, laws, streets you can love it all while navigating the situation (c'est la traduction du programme) c'était un moment très beau, même si je comprenais pas le portugais.

j'ai rêvé d'un orque dans une chambre d'hôtel. y avait de l'eau et on voulait l'aider à retourner vers le large mais l'orque ne voulait pas, il voulait venir sur terre, il voulait être avec nous, il voulait essayer des chaussures à talons, je sais plus, le rêve me glisse entre les mains comme ce que j'imagine être la peau d'un orque mouillé. peut être que ça a un lien avec le livre de n. que j'ai commencé hier soir où la narratrice dit qu'être hétéro c'est comme vouloir se contenter de vivre sur  terre alors qu'il existe LA MER et ses profondeurs et son intensité, ce que je trouve un peu bizarre comme métaphore. mais moi je voyais bien la bisexualité sous forme de royaumes. l'autre jour dans le tram je me suis rendu compte que depuis r. y avait plus de royaumes. il les a fait disparaitre petit à petit. enfin c'est pas lui c'est moi. je fais plus de séparation entre la moi homo et la moi hétéro, je suis les deux en même temps tout le temps. j'ai enfin fait la paix avec ma bisexualité. en théorie, la pratique restant encore et toujours la grande inconnue. r. était dans mon rêve aussi. non associé à l'orque. je pense moins à lui ces derniers temps. sauf hier soir où j'ai fait l'erreur d'aller voir son instagram et je suis tombée sur une photo de lui avec sa guitare autour du cou, il regarde quelque chose hors cadre avec son regard doux là et ses cheveux bouclés et son grand corps d'homme rassurant wtf daddy issues depuis quand un corps d'homme est rassurant?? je regardais son visage et j'arrivais pas à croire que j'étais même juste amie avec lui. c'est quoi cette méga mise sur piédestal giga dévaluation de moi-même là? en plus la photo est en noir et blanc, ce qui en fait encore plus une idéalisation. une fiction.

hier soir à minuit j'ai vu la date bouger du 10 au 11 octobre et ça m'a rappelé paris quand je comptais les jours pour rentrer à la maison. mais à paris je voulais jamais être le lendemain. ici je veux juste que ça passe, quick quick next one qu'on en finisse. au moins je continue de sortir. hier je suis allée dans une librairie de ma liste, j'y ai feuilleté un livre sans titre pris au hasard et je suis tombée sur... seydisfjördur. c'était un livre d'artiste d'une fille qui avait fait une résidence là-bas, elle y parle de heima et de lunga sans les nommer en parlant de leurs partenariats avec des marques de design scandinaves (les enceintes bang & olufsen à heima, les pubs pour leurs casques avec jonatan en mannequin, les meubles bolia, etc) elle met en parallèle le discours de la marque et le bouton shop the products avec les valeurs de l'école édictées sur le site et le bouton apply here et j'étais là dans le magasin à ouvrir des grands yeux et à me dire wow wow wow quelqu'un a osé toucher à mon mythe!! j'ai jamais eu une vision toute blanche de l'école non plus, mais en lisant ses pages dénonciatrices je pensais à mon expérience de l'endroit et moi je sais que leurs valeurs c'est pas que du blabla, cette école a changé ma vie. mais c'était intéressant d'avoir son point de vue et aussi très déroutant d'ouvrir un livre au hasard et de tomber sur une artiste en train de critiquer une des expériences fondatrices de ma vie somme toute assez niche.

depends on the event in question!

back in the day during gens 3 and 4, IRL event distributions were often handled by running a custom GBA cart with the event distribution software and hooking up to other GBAs via link cable or with the wireless adapter, or a custom DS cart that took advantage of the DS' innate wireless compatibilities. obviously all of these carts were meant to be sent back to nintendo or get destroyed, but that... just did not happen to all of them lol. (there are also a few local distribution softwares for 3DS and stuff but wayyy less common)

you can actually buy gen 4 distribution carts for an excessive amount of money, though i can't in good conscience recommend looking for gen 3 distribution carts, they're INCREDIBLY rare and most of the listings you'll find for them on ebay are 100% fake and are scamming you out of hundreds of dollars, and most people don't know how to tell the difference unfortunately.

that being said, i'm not recommending you buy these at all actually, because most of the ones in physical circulation have been dumped online and can be downloaded. the digiex forums contains them, and you can download these and run them on actual hardware and roleplay being the toys r us/gamestop/etc employee and distribute to themself just like how it would have happened back at the time of the event lmao. for the DS ones it's easy with a hacked 3DS and twilight menu, but for GBA you'd need a GBA flashcart and the associated link cable/wireless adapters + two GBAs. this can also be done on emulators with support for local connection between two windows and has the same exact effect as doing it with real hardware, it just feels cool to do it with real hardware (pictured below is an ancient video i took of me distributing 2005 Aura Mew to myself with the actual software made by nintendo, running off a flashcart. i took this years ago and the quality is ass and my positioning is awkward sorry lol. my room doesn't even look the same...)

as for events without distribution software, old gen ones have the DNS exploit, which you can find simple instructions for here. this is much easier with gen 5 than gen 4 - you can find gen 4 help i wrote here. these restore all online functionality in the old games, including mystery gift - trying to grab a mystery gift from the internet will allow you to download pretty much any event in the game (though the one it gives you is random and you'd have to try over and over to get the ones you want). the data of these events is 100% identical to how the events actually were at the time of distribution, like completely indistinguishable, so it's a safe way to get those mons to bank and home, though you may want to change your DS date to the same date as the event in question so it doesn't look weird.

as for 3DS there is no fancy stuff like the above, you'll just want to go to project pokemon's public event gallery and browse for what you're looking for, which also provides a link to instructions for injecting these in your games. it's worth noting you can also inject all the gen 3-5 events that have been documented/archived this way, it's just less interesting than the above methods imo. this is probably the least legitimate feeling option but the data is still identical and well. other than elaborate glitches or something that's the best its gonna get. it's likely once 3DS servers shut down next year that eventually a DNS exploit-adjacent service will pop up for gen 6 and 7...

btw worth noting that gen 4 is the only gen where the name rater literally only checks for TID and doesn't even consider the "fateful encounter" flag that event pokemon are usually given, so you can RNG manip a matching trainer ID and then nickname event mons you aren't supposed to be able to nickname fully within the limits of the original game and hardware LOL. that isn't related to your question i just think it's funny that you can do that and it's technically completely legit

edit: oh yes and there's certain event mons that are still able to be obtained without all this wacky stuff, ie the pokemon colosseum bonus disc gives out infinite jirachis and they just released that as a preorder bonus back then. so worth looking at options for distributions like that too if you need a species of mythical or whatever!
