Swan Song (Set it Off)
Promises are broken/Tell me are you happy now/Drowning in the hourglass/I guess our time ran out/I hope you're listening/You don't even bother anymore
"If i could list every time just the acoustic version has made me start crying and why we would be here for far far too long. like i know its probably about a romantic relationship thats how most set it off songs are but like. you know."
Poll Runner: Set it Off fucks so hard. This is legit one of my favourite songs of theirs. The screaming vocals just... *chef's kiss*
I'll Bid My Heart Be Still (Rebecca Clarke)
"i first listened to this when choosing pieces to play for a music exam and it made me cry which was unexpected and made me like the piece so i had to play it. it’s mournful and pretty and i think kind of hopeful? and it still makes me (nearly) cry. also i’m not sure how true this is because i don’t remember where i read it, but apparently the composer (viola player) wrote a lot of stuff for viola and piano because her husband played piano and i just think that’s romantic <3 (which makes the song more mournful and sweet). also it falls into the category of art made by people who are now dead, but are survived by their art which is now enjoyed etc etc and that in itself really fucks me up"
