This entity's name is Reproach and he's from the same dimension as Corner. It's called the Room and it's like an endless multi-story maze that was created by another powerful cosmic entity named Varr.
The Varr does not interact with Non-Earth, but essentially exists within its universe.
Like all of the Room's creatures, Reproach feeds on the energy it receives from Varr's emotions. Mostly shame and grief. The Room most likely exists as a whole to balance him out. There is no way out of the Room, but its inhabitants seek it, most likely even unconsciously. And this very search leads the creatures to clash with each other and to confrontation.
Corner, on the other hand, only fell out of the room because of the Shift. And since his "reality" coincided with Morphus' level of existence, he now travels through other people's dreams and terrorizes all dreamers by partially transforming their dreams into a shattered semblance of the Room.
Also, the inhabitants of the Room don't need to eat. Because they depend entirely on the emotions that Varr feels. But Corner, who has literally fallen out of his natural environment, must now, through his own efforts, achieve terror from those into whose dreams he is sneaking. Otherwise he will starve to death.
And Corner wasn't a strong entity of the Room anyway, because Varr is a majestic deity who doesn't feel the fear that the triangle feeds on.
The entities of the Room also exist in such an environment that they often don't have a wide range of emotions and their character is sometimes horribly primitive. That is, the same Reproach constantly feels only shame and grief because he doesn't know or can't do anything else.
Corner, in this respect, has the opportunity to develop some other traits because he no longer exists in that "vacuum"

1 Timothy 4:10 (NKJV) - For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.

when does motive become guilt? When does gratitude become reproach? When does appreciation become contempt?
For if I am doomed to be dust for all that I have reduced to rubble, grant me one last will.
And before I throw myself into the void tell me what I have to repent of, what I have done or what I have not?

There is not so bitter a reproach on earth as silence, for it always seems to refer the guilty to their own hearts, whose eloquence seldom fails to fill up the pause very little to the satisfaction of the accused.

I have suffered much from the past conflicts of my life, and there has been very much with which I must reproach myself. I know that I have behaved badly.

“What are you still living for?“ She asks me accusingly. “When there's nothing but war And a ravaged ecosystem awaiting you? Why not just sleep?” There’s a fire in her eyes, Hatred burning bright. “When there’s nothing but pain in your life? When breathing itself is torment, a hell? Why do you strive? When there’s no hope for tomorrow When there’s only sorrow What is it you're still clinging…

Isaiah 37:4 (NKJV) - It may be that the LORD your God will hear the words of the Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to reproach the living God, and will rebuke the words which the LORD your God has heard. Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.’ ”

When you do good and someone mocks you or tries to defame you, you can and should still be happy!
It’s not that evil speaking is good; it’s not!
It’s that you can should find peace in your own heart. It’s that inner peace that only God can bring. 🙏

Quote
Assuredly there is but one way in which to achieve what is not merely difficult but utterly against human nature: to love those who hate us, to repay their evil deeds with benefits, to return blessings for reproaches. It is that we remember not to consider men’s evil intention but to look upon the image of God in them, which cancels and effaces their transgressions, and with its beauty and dignity allures us to love and embrace them.
John Calvin
