Bringing Joy Home: Fostering Dogs for Adoption at Infinite Hearts Animal Sanctuary and Rescue
At Infinite Hearts Animal Sanctuary and Rescue, our mission is to provide a loving, safe haven for animals in need and help them find their forever homes. We’re excited to share that we are now fostering dogs who are ready for adoption! This step allows us to make an even greater impact by providing these deserving dogs with the love, care, and socialization they need while they wait to meet their perfect match.
Why Fostering Matters
Fostering plays a crucial role in the rescue process. It provides temporary, loving homes for dogs, giving them the chance to adjust to life outside of a shelter and learn what it means to be part of a family. Here are just a few reasons why fostering is so important:
A Safe Space to Heal: Many of the dogs we foster come from difficult backgrounds. Fostering offers them a peaceful environment where they can decompress, heal, and start to trust again. It allows us to see their true personalities shine through, helping us find the best forever home for each dog.
Preparing for Adoption: Fostering helps dogs become more adoptable by providing them with essential training, socialization, and love. We work with them on basic commands, house training, and help them get accustomed to a home environment. This preparation is crucial in helping them adjust smoothly when they find their forever families.
Personalized Matchmaking: By fostering, we learn so much about each dog’s unique needs, preferences, and behaviors. This knowledge is invaluable when it comes to matching them with potential adopters, ensuring a successful and lasting adoption.
Meet Our Foster Dogs
While we don't have specific dogs listed here, we are currently fostering several wonderful dogs who are looking for their forever homes. Each one has a unique story and personality, and they are all ready to find families who will love and cherish them. If you're interested in meeting our foster dogs, please reach out to us or visit our sanctuary. We would love to introduce you to these amazing animals!
How to Adopt
Adopting a foster dog from Infinite Hearts Animal Sanctuary and Rescue is a straightforward and heartwarming experience. Here’s how it works:
Contact Us: Get in touch to express your interest in adopting one of our foster dogs. We will provide you with information about the dogs currently available and help arrange a meet-and-greet.
Fill Out an Application: Our adoption application helps us understand your lifestyle, preferences, and what you’re looking for in a furry companion.
Home Visit and Finalize: We’ll arrange a home visit to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for the dog. After that, the adoption is finalized, and you’re ready to welcome your new best friend home!
How You Can Support Our Foster Efforts
Become a Foster Parent: If you’re passionate about helping animals and have the time and resources, consider becoming a foster parent yourself. It’s an incredibly rewarding experience and a wonderful way to make a difference.
Donate or Volunteer: Even if you can’t foster or adopt, there are many other ways to help. Donations and volunteering are essential to our sanctuary’s operations, allowing us to continue providing for animals in need.
Spread the Word: Share our mission with your friends, family, and community. The more people know about our fostering efforts, the more dogs we can help find their forever homes.
Join Us in Making a Difference
We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter of fostering dogs for adoption at Infinite Hearts Animal Sanctuary and Rescue. Our goal is to provide every dog with a loving, temporary home where they can thrive and grow while they await their forever families.
If you’re considering adopting a dog, fostering is a great way to find the perfect match and make a meaningful impact. Contact us today to learn more about our foster dogs and how you can help.
Thank you for your support, and we look forward to welcoming you into our community of animal lovers!

Pets fill a void
Recently getting a rescue golden retriever is a new experience for me. We've never had a dog before and although it's taken me a little while to get used to her, she's gentle and perfect. I deal with autism and she knows just when to comfort.
Losing my twin in December 2022 was difficult. She was the other half of me. Without the pandemic, I would like to think I would have fared better losing her, but throughout the pandemic my mental health has taken a knock and my twin's death has tipped my mental health over the edge.
Pets help fill a mental space
Pets make us feel better with what we deal with. They fill a mental space. They help us to decompress, help take away our stress and help us to cope better. They're non-judgmental, they aim to please, they're kind, they notice our mood, they help make us feel better, all reasons to think about investing in a dog, or a cat.
When you adopt a rescue animal, you cut down the expense and you're saving a life. As much as a pet attend to our needs, we need to attend to theirs, one hundred percent. A pet is a long-term commitment and an investment.
Pets help you deal with change
There are abused, abandoned and neglected dogs and cats waiting to claim their forever homes, so why not think about how good a pet is for your physical and mental health, and the rewards you take from investing your time in one. The world is changed, we all have a different life now. A pet can help with change.
Pets fill a void
If like me you're still scrambling to fit in to your life, having a pet helps. In the pandemic, many of us have lost a loved one to Covid, or cancer, or know someone who has. With autism, Nelly makes me feel better. I'm not feeling as dispirited as I was. For many, getting back into their lives, with the virus still out there, can still very much be a challenge.
I love my own company and don't usually mind the silence, because it increases my focus and allows me to concentrate better on my thoughts and my writing, but with autism and in the pandemic it has also brought an eery silence that is noticeably large. Now with Nelly that silence has gone.

He is never far from me, even though when we rescued him, he was meant to be hubby's dog. He has been so loyal, loving and protective. It is hard to believe someone did not want him as a puppy and sent him to the shelter, but their loss all those years ago has been our gain. Who else finds rescue dogs more loving? #blacklab #blacklabrador #labsofinstagram #labrador #rescuedog #blacklabsofinstagram #labradorretriever #rescuepets #ohiorescue ##labradorlove #labradorable #blacklabrador https://www.instagram.com/p/CoQxn9HOwRq/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Meet this adorable sleepy boy Solomon! He was part of a confiscation last week along with 9 of his family members and between the 10 of them there's not a single full tail. These 10 were feeder breeders kept in a bin with a layer of feces for bedding, a bit of bird food, some mostly eaten tails, and a few When the Animal Control Officer confronted the owner he said it was fine because they were just feeders. Obviously no one thought that was "fine" so the rats were taken by Animal Control. They were released from investigation hold this morning so we are spaying and neutering everyone today so the family can be together. These rats have a lot of trauma. All have parts of their tails eaten and most just have a stub left. They have infected wounds on their tails too which will require antibiotics, pain meds and wound care. They honestly probably ate each other's tails to survive which is actually pretty polite. If you have to eat your friends I guess the tail is a good place to start. Despite all they have been through they're actually incredibly sweet rats both to humans and each other which I think is sorta incredible. Pip likes his fluffy cot. 🐶💤
[Since he's losing his hearing, sight, and (seemingly) his wits in his old age, sleeping is just about the only time he's not being naughty and/or barking. 🙃]
