I didn't know what bear you wanted so I just chose one, the spectacled bear.

First things first, you and Riz would be friends in Cherryton.

Since you are a bear just like him, you would have met him because of that bear problem stuff. Probably you forgot to buy your pills and asked him if you could borrow some.

Obviously, He gave you, knowing by his facade, he would give you with a gentle smile.

Your friendship would start there, you would've met Tem before, so I think Tem was the one who dragged you to talk to him too.

After Tem's death, you decided to talk to Riz, but he seemed distant while talking about Tem.

You two kept talking, keeping company with each other. You knew something was off, but you never decided to talk about it.

You decided to cheer him up, which, he liked it. You and him were getting together really well.

Sometimes you two would have a slumber party, which always ended up with Riz falling asleep first, sometimes he just mumbled some things and started to move in his sleep. But you would always hum him some songs, to calm him down.

You are like a therapist to him, always there for him and talking to him.

One day, he sent you a message, to meet him on the rooftop of the college, Once you arrived there, he had a worried and stressed expression on his face.

After he told you what he did to Tem, you were speechless, but you understood him. You were like him, you knew what that feeling was.

You walked near him and told him that it was okay (but inside you were almost shitting yourself)

You saw him kneel down to your level and he just hugged your chest, crying and sobbing. You were shocked but you just pat his back, letting him cry and take everything out. After that, he opened up to you even more. (The events of him getting arrested and all, really happened, but he was more okay with it, but still having bad dreams)

When he was still in jail, you and Pina would visit him, updating him on what was going on outside. You three spend a lot of time in there.

After he was out of jail, You and Pina were there, already waiting for him.

After some months passed, you decided to ask him to be your boyfriend, which, he accepted.

Sadly, he couldn't go back to Cherryton, but he didn't mind that anymore...

He bought a simple apartment, where you two would spend the time during weekends.

You always know when those bad dreams will come, so you already know what to do, thanks to his therapist (ahem... Gohin...)

You and Riz were sleeping, and as always, he was struggling and moving in bed. You, already knowing what was happening, just got up and went to get some tea with honey. When you went back, you saw him sitting there, with sad empty eyes, tears forming in his eyes, and the fur on his back was all messy, from sweating and moving around.

He looked at you walking towards him with some tea.

"The same bad dream...?" Your voice was sleepy but still worried about your boyfriend.

"...yeah..." He said with the same expression.

You hand him the mug of tea and honey and watch him drink it all in one gulp.

You placed a hand on his shoulder, caressing his fur with your thumb. Once he finished it, he gave you the mug and you put it in the table beside the bed.

You opened your arms to him, waiting for him to embrace you. You two decided to do this routine every time he had that nightmare.

He snuggles in your embrace, resting his head on your chest, hearing your heartbeats.

"Do you want me to sing for you?" You asked him with empathy in the voice.

"...uhuummmm..." He hums, agreeing with the offer.

You started caressing with his fur, humming a random song. You always loved spoiling him.

Once you've heard him softly snoring, you rest your head on the pillow and drift asleep as well...

He loves hearing you sing for him, he calms down more easily that way, not only with you singing but with your voice and way to act.

Your relationship is just cute and all, he softens near you, happy that you are there for him. Happy that you are not afraid of him. And he is happy with himself too, happy that he didn't hurted you.

Of course, there are a lot of things behind your relationship, but that's not the point right now.

I love Haru sm, but man, idk how to describe it, but she feels boring in this later arc.

Kidnapping arc? We see why she is the way she is? Great! I'm sure many girls could relate to feeling like they need to be sexual in order to be understood or form connections! We see her and Legoshi's friendship, and eventually relationship, grow and her side of it? Great, love that for her and seeing how the herbivore would view this situation, and that it's not just all from Legoshi'a perspective!

But man, now it just feels like she's a plot device. And as much as I love romance, I feel kind of annoyed with Haru and Legoshi. Not just bcuz of Haru, but the way she's just used. It just feels like she's only here to further Legoshi's character, but she still has developing she needs to do. Imo, she could have a good arc with Juno, but even she was used to further Juno's arc. Another one could be her realizing that she doesn't need Louis or Legoshi, and that she's completely fine on her own.

(Also, like the Panda dude said, I really don't feel like hearing Legoshi talk about his relationship issues when he's trying to overcome his cannibalistic instincts. Yes, ik it's "can a carnivore snd herbivore truly be together?" thing and I love them for that, but the same role is being filled with Louis honestly-)

Idk, just watching basic romance in a world like Beastars? Ik it's the whole "devouring thing" going on, but again, that's furthering Legoshi's arc and not hers :(. I just wish she could be used more, bcuz I love her a lot, and she makes the story brighter.

And, like I've said said above, the same role is being filled with Louis, and in a much more interesting way. No, this isn't me being sad my yaoi ship isn't canon, bcuz I also still kinda like Haru & Legoshi (sunshine x gloomy, cmon). But, we see Louis battle with his instincts (*cough* fetish *cough*), and he becomes leader of a GANG because of them! Louis and Legoshi were already were "friends," and if Tem & Riz is anything to go by, you still feel urges to devour your friends. Even if they're not romantic, it'd still be fun to see their relationship as friends grow but with more ✨️angst✨️ and all that.

Honestly, just give Haru an arc away from Louis and Legoshi. I don't like just associating her character with either of them

You haven't seen Riz for awhile now. Ever since the truth has been found out, ever since Legoshi confronted him that night and blood was spilled, nobody really wanted to talk about the former Cherryton student. It's like he was a ghost now, one that needed to be forgotten. But you couldn't move on.

The news spoke of him, calling him a 'dangerous individual' and a 'heartless monster' for taking Tem's life for his selfish desires. Sure, he was selfish for wanting to continue the chain of 'predators feast upon prey' chain, but he didn't deserve half of the things said about him. You knew that very well.

You refused to visit Riz due to many reasons, one of them being the not-so-pleasant memories you had with him, in which he no longer smiled warmly, but with malicious intent. Yet one of the other students visited him, and said he was a changed bear. So, you clenched your jaws and gathered all of your courage and made your way towards the facility where your friend was held.

It took awhile to get you to talk to him, mainly because you didn't reserve a meeting with him. You waited, seated on a chair, anxiously tapping your claw against your lap. Countless questions swarmed your brain, questions only the future would be able to answer. Before you could get too lost, footsteps could be heard approaching, and you looked up to see one of the guards.

''Follow me.'' The tiger stated, and you wasted no time in getting up and trailing after the taller animal. Before you could enter the room where Riz was held, you were supposed to drop your phone and other metallic accessories in a small tray. You did as told, anxiety bubbling inside of you the longer you had to follow the guard.

You stopped in front of a metal door, which was guarded by two other animals─one of them a bull, and the other a lion. Or a maned lioness? Before they could unlock the door they had to give you the rules. ''No getting too close to the inmate. You are to not give him anything, no matter how small or harmless it is. You will be monitored and your conversation will be recorded. Is that clear?'' The lion's soothing voice caressed your ear, and you identified them as a lioness. You nodded, finding difficulty in speaking at the moment, and the bull turned to unlock the door.

You stepped inside, instantly greeted with a table and two chairs, positioned across each other, and you hesitantly took a seat. There was nothing that you could hear aside from the soft thumping of your heart, and the occasional chair creaking under your weight. You lightly flinched as the metallic door was opened once more, and you turned around to see Riz handcuffed, with a muzzle and the two guards holding him by his arms. They led him to the other chair, swiftly cuffing him to the table, before disappearing quickly and locking the door behind them.

You stared at Riz, and he stared at you. He had an apologetic smile on his face, which you could barely spot due to the restraints he had around his muzzle. He'd be lying if he said he didn't miss you,

And you'd be lying if you said you didn't miss him.

He's changed. Drastically.

You've never seen him this calm, this at peace.

Riz spoke to you calmly, and even tried to wave, despite the handcuffs not really helping him.

He talked to you about the past, how he was feeling, and even apologized for the way he's treated you. He said that his time in jail has made him understand certain things that his past self couldn't have ever understand.

He wanted to start all over with you and treat you the way you should be treated.

You were hesitant, you didn't know whether you should or not.

But when you saw the tired look in his eyes, the guilt clawing at his throat whenever he spoke, you knew he truly changed.

And you accepted.

Nearly every week, when time allowed you, you'd visit Riz.

The guards have grown used to you, and they said they might remove his muzzle if he behaved nicely. Obviously they needed approval from their superior, but Riz's behavior was monitored 24/7, they knew he was no longer the beast that they brought in.

Unfortunately you never knew how long he would remain in prison, but you promised you'd wait for him.

Soon enough, due to his good behavior, he was allowed to receive gifts.

You bought him books, poetry, and even paper for him to continue his passion for origami.

He appreciated every single gift you brought him, and promised that he will do the same to you when he's out.

SO, bears can purr and their purrs sound like an engine/kind of like a growl.

And for that reason, Riz doesn't like when he does that. He's kind of self conscious about it, so he bites his tongue and blame on him cleaning his throat whenever someone from the drama club catches him doing that.

Tem discovers that he can purr when he's sleeping with him and they cuddle and Riz starts to purr a few seconds later. Tem kind of concludes that this might be a purr (after looking around and noticing it is Riz), and he wants to ask Riz if that's a purr indeed, but he can't because everytime he tries to wake him up Riz' purrs just get lounder and eventually he kinda goes with it and tries to sleep (what isn't really successful because his purrs are too loud and it's starting to hurt his ears).
