Hiii hru? I was wondering if I could request gon and killua (seperate) with a fem reader that is very girly? And I know it’s kinds weird but she kinda has pretty privilege and will literally get whatever she wants by winning at some other teenager. Shes very kind and sweet though so she doesn’t take advantage of it. Sorry if that’s kind of odd and if you don’t want to write it it’s ok🫶 love you!
HI ANON !! It's completely alright 🫡 I find this request rly cute as my other post was the exact opposite ! Thank you for making this request 🫰 Apologies if its ooc ( out of character ), but I had soo much fun writing this !

• Now let's all be honest ! The first time Killua met you, he probably felt so annoyed and kept grumbling how they were teams with a "girl." As the stereotypical boy he is.
• But despite Killua's comments, you were so unbothered and even excused his actions?! He was stunned! Because if that was him, he'd internally judge them!
• But honestly, Killua underestimated you. In Killua's eyes, you looked so.. fragile? Yet your performance in combat impressed him! You were pretty agile, and you had a smart mind— not to mention, you were pretty, too! Not like he would say that out loud.
• During the final examination, yk the time where he killed an applicant? He could see you from his peripheral vision, and he saw genuine worry and concern for him. HIM. He found that so odd that a girl like you would worry for him.
• When you rescued him, that look in your eyes just SCREAMED affection, and that just hit Killua in the gut, y'know? Who wouldn't fumble in their words when such a pretty and sweet girl like [Name] comes running to them with an expression like that.
• See now— in Killua's case, he's never been with a caring or sweet female since almost everyone is his household is literally fucked up. So you were a new case for him.
• Nonetheless, he was pretty honored and glad you came for him out of everyone.
• And so, he slowly warmed up to you, even growing comfortable to the point he'd randomly touch your hair, arms, fingers, just any where he thinks that looks odd or pretty.
• Yes ! He sometimes stares at your features and finds himself admiring them. Well who wouldn't?! The way you bat your eyelashes so innocently, the way your lip gloss reflects the sun in a positive elegant way when you smile, complimenting your teeth, the way your blush makes your cheeks so much more squishy he just wants to—
• "Killua? You okay? You're zoning out again." [Name] says in amusement with Gon just looked at the boy who was staring, Killua blinked twice and hummed in a nonchalant manner, placing his hands behind his back and shrugged. "I'm perfectly fine. Better than ever. Let's get going again."
• There was one time where there's this one kid around their age who was gatekeeping Killua's the store's choco robots and you came to Killua's rescue, using your very cutesy face card to convince the kid to at least have 3!
• After that, Killua looked at you like you're some kind of GODDESS. He's been trying to convince that kid and you did it so effortlessly?! Even snagging him an extra one?! Oh you're his favorite now.
Tumblr media
༉‧₊˚. Gon Freecss !ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁

• He found you SUUUPER cute and charismatic ! Like the whole time you two were talking, he'd always sneak in a compliment ! His words flattered you a bunch, too !
• He's like a natural smooth talker 'cause WHAT?! Every compliment / comment he makes about you leaves your heart beating!
• Instead of you making him flustered, you ALWAYS find yourself stammering over your words. Was it you who fell in love first or was it him?!
• Honestly with how smooth he is you're starting to think he treats every girl like this.. ( Spoiler, he doesn't )
• During the Heaven's Arena training, he was genuinely worried since you'd often wear skirts, but turns out you were already prepared! Introducing the.. skort! While it looks like an ordinary skirt, there were already built in shorts inside to prevent the creeps from looking!
• Similarly to Killua, he finds himself staring but is shamelessly doing it. When you stare back, he smiles. SMILES so charmingly, making YOU look away and he laughs.
• He loves the fact you get along with anyone you see or talk to !! It's probably because of your looks and personality, but nonetheless he supports you !!
• okay but I js know he's really vocal with your favorite features !! He probably loves your hair since it looks so silky, smooth, and soft to the touch! He also probably loves your nails too ! Almost having new and different styles monthly and he loves making guesses and predictions on what the design / style it'll be !!
• oh and, he absolutely LOVES how you do a wardrobe change almost everyday, you and Killua do a bunch of fashion shows together and Gon rates them :3
• His favorite fits are probably the ones with the very long skirts that reach the ankles with a comfy top, just anything that reminds him of Mito !
• He loves all the girls in his life equally :3 a lot of things reminds him of you and Mito ! So when he brought you and Killua to Whale Island to meet Mito, he was really happy that you got along well with his mother <3
• This was honestly his go signal to just shoot his shot, what could he lose? His mama loves you so much ! And he does too !! And so does Killua !! Everyone approves of you !!

Aizawa and Class 1A x Student Alchemist Reader
Tumblr media
In this, the reader has the same tattoos as scar. The reader’s left arm deconstructs molecules and their right arm reconstructs molecules.
The reader is quirkless so they use Alchemy to even the odds and are good at combat.
The reader took the entrance exam and has similar grade to Momo. Momo and the Reader share the 1/20 place amongst their peers
The reader aced the written test and destroyed the robots by using their alchemy to disassemble them. They got 45 villain points and 45 rescue points
When the teachers were looking over the students papers, Aizawa and Nedzu were amazed and skeptical of the reader being quirkless
Aizawa didn’t believe that you were quirkless so he used his quirk on you during his quirk apprehension test. Obviously it failed and he realized your were being honest on your paperwork. Still grilled you about it
Aizawa is ever so slightly more protective and stricter on you than other students. He worries all the time so he is a little harsher on you but you know that he just wants to push you a little more
You’re currently studying both flame and medical alchemy. You tend to study with recovery girl and help her out whenever you get the chance
During All Might’s hero vs villain training you were paired with Momo (Mineta didn’t get into the hero course) against Jirou and Kaminari. You won by creating a sleeping gas and put them to sleep whilst you and Momo wore gas masks she made
Bakugou refuses to admit your strength but has a secret respect for you since you beat him by altering his sweat’s molecules so it wasn’t explosive
Izuku has so many notes on you and has asked to draw your tattoos and you even began to teach him basic alchemy, although he sucks at it
When questioning you, you told Izuku that you were quirkless which he accidentally let it slip to his friends who then let the class know
After that you explained to the class that alchemy can be performed by anyone, it just take years of study and practice to perform and understand the basic rules and applications
Some didn’t believe you so you removed your shoe to show them all your second joint in your pinky toe as proof
Some still have a hard time believing it but most of the class accepted it
Kirishima, Sero, Iida, Jirou and Uraraka think you’re (manly) incredible and ambitious for dedicating yourself to something and making yourself strong despite the odds
Ashido, Kaminari and Hagakure still don’t believe that you’re quirkless
Tokoyami and Shoji both admire your strength and perseverance in trying to become a hero despite lacking a power and having been ridiculed and criticized for your dreams
Ojiro and you train in martial arts often as a means to strengthen one another
Tsuyu and you get along just fine as you both are some of the more mature students in classs
You tend to hang out with the quiet kids like Shoji, Tokoyami and Koda
You and Momo both bond over and help each other study the molecular make up of certain items
During the USJ attack, you used your flame alchemy on the Nomu. You used your conductive gloves to create the flames and tried to roast the Nomu
You took Hatsume’s place on Midoriya’s team in the Calvary battle
You fought Iida in the first rounds and won by creating a rugged and difficult terrain to run in as a means to slow him down, then you used your alchemy to seal his engines and managed to hit him in a pressure point that immobilized him
Todoroki was amazed when you were able to beat him in the sports festival. You turned his ice into water and then changed the arrangement of the stage’s molecular structure to that of quicksand and used the ground to swallow him up, winning your match.
Bakugou was pissed off when you altered your body’s carbon to be on the outside creating a skin of diamond like armor that his explosions couldn’t beat
You got 1st place in the festival but All Might accidentally let it slip during the award ceremony that you were quirkless
You got the third most offers from pros for internships out of the class
You ended up going with Best Jeanist and had a rather good time compared to Bakugou
After the Internships were over, you had mastered your flame alchemy and used it against All Might in your practical exam
Bonus: Todoroki learned that you can’t use flame alchemy when it’s raining or if your wet and accidentally started the ‘useless when wet’ shtick.
Now Bakugou makes fun of you whenever you get your gloves wet and acts like you need protection and enjoys babying you.

Yan Zombie + Restoration Hobbyist Reader Blurb
-
"Blink once if you can hear me."
It calls to them from the darkness - a voice melancholic yet strangely robotic in its application. It's familiar - like something they've heard in a dream. They can't move. Their arms feel as though they're pinned beneath boulders. Their legs feel weightless. The place in their mouth were their tongue sat felt dry and... exposed. Left with no other choice, their eyelids flicker upwards. The flesh over their right eye feels to be constructed of foreign tissue - metal scrapping over the weight in the socket where their eye once was. The image of the figure standing over them is fleeting, lips pulled thin in an expression of approval.
"Blink twice."
Their eyes flutter open for a second time - remaining there as two finger pry apart the lids of their still functioning eye.
"Good. It's fortunate that you are still able to hear. At the moment, my fixes are merely cosmetic so I'm afraid you won't be able to see out of that eye of yours for some time. If you are like other patients I've had the issue will work out on its own."
Their eye rolls idly in their head - struggling to make out any features of the person through the blazing lights overhead.
"You must have questions. Forgive me- I wasn't expecting you to wake up before I had time to work on your jaw. Please use this to communicate if you wish, you can ask me anything."
Function to their left hand returns - their wrist raw and lacking the binding weight shacking it in place. Restraints? Smooth plastic rolls beneath their fingertip as they flex the stiff joints of their digits. Their fingers trace out the rectangular shape of the keyboard's space bar. Gliding gracelessly over the keys, a hand helps stabilize their moments as they begin to type. A computer monitor awakens from its sleep as words pop up on its screen.
"Where am I?"
A common question. "You are in my workplace. I repair things from time to time to keep myself busy. I found you in a creek nearby during a stroll the other night. Thankfully, you hadn't been in there long or I would've had to replace more than the skin of your eye."
Their hand draws up to their eye, feeling the odd texture over their eye. It's felt.
"I hate to bring up any bad memories from the past, but I need to ask in order to provide you with the care you require. Do you remember anything from the day you died?"
Died?... That's... honestly not the most surprising thing about this ordeal. A stabbing pain blisters at the back of their mind as they try to remember. A boat. A shotgun. Laughter. Tears. Please, no. It's not funny just put it down. Please. please-
"Boating trip. They said if I tagged along I could finally be apart of their group. I thought I could trust them. They said they were my friends. They said"
Their body lurches forward - fighting against the bite of their bonds. It hurts. It hurts so much. Why are they still here? Garbble wails ricochet off the bedroom walls. In their time of misery, another memory rushes to the forefront of their mind. Their body convulsing on an operating table. The gentle hushes of another as they pet back their hair - drying blackened tears from the corners of their eyes. A compassionate hand from the world that had abandoned them when they needed someone most.
"Hold me."
"What?"
"I remember.. Arms around me. A voice calling out to me. Promising me everything would be okay. That was you - right? Hold me. I don't want to be alone. Please, don't let me be alone anymore."
The hobbyist removes the glove from their dominant hand, wiping the leathery flesh were thick, congealing tears pool. You pull your newest patient closer - mindful of their stitches as you rub small circles along their spine.
"You can stay here as long as you like. While I'm not the most social person, I can't turn away someone who needs my assistance."
Their sobs are reduced to small whimpers as they cling into you - dying your apron in various fluids as their arm locks around your midsection in a vice grip. You grab onto their other wrist, preventing them from wrestling it out of their chains leaving you with more work in the future if their skin were to tear.
"I know this is a lot for you, but please try not to damage yourself further."
Their arm drops from your waist - fingers flying over the keyboard on a flurry.
"What's your name?"
"My name?... You can just call me Y/n."

PROLOGUE: WELCOME TO URBANSHADE
Tumblr media
Word count: 3,3k
Tags: GN!reader, Graphic mention of surgery and experiments on a human body
Summary: You get hired by Urbanshade, thanks to your father, but every start has its obstacles. And some obstacles might feel deeper than they should be.
Tumblr media
The time on the wall clock showed it was just a few minutes past noon. Warm sunlight gently crept into the waiting room through the tall panoramic windows of the building. A quick glance to the side, catching a glimpse of the clock, was enough to tell you that it would still be a few moments before it was time to move from the comfort of the leather chair you were currently sitting on. Your freshly disinfected hands clung nervously to your phone as you swiftly scrolled through the list of contacts you had saved over time. You were so focused that it startled you slightly when another caller ID popped up on the bright screen, displaying the picture of your father's face.
This particular man had called you a lot lately, sticking his nose into your business after you dared to ask him for a tiny favor, hoping he would help since you are his beloved only child. But one thing you didn't expect from him at that specific moment was that he would take the opportunity to call you, considering that he was somewhere on the ocean.
He works as a high-class businessman, primarily sponsoring a company called Urbanshade. You didn't know much about them, but your dad mentioned something about how they specialize in underwater mining with some high-tech inventions. This explained his temporary stay on one of Urbanshade's ships, where they were testing and showcasing another new underwater mining robot of some sort, called Trenchbleeder. Your dad had funded the whole project over the past few months, so he was more than excited to see how his money was being put to good use.
"Did they call you yet?" Despite the slight static, the seagulls, and the waves in the background, you could make out the strict tone in his voice. Of course, he was curious. You had asked your dad if he knew someone who would hire you, his child. And naturally, the first thing he applied you for was a position at one of Urbanshade's research facilities. They weren't really looking for new employees in the first place, but your dad was very close to the higher-ups, so he bought the job for you. The fact that he paid the company to hire you made your stomach twist in discomfort, but it was too late to turn back and say no. "I risked a lot by doing that for you."
He referred to the payment he had made on your behalf, and you could feel the pressure he had placed on your shoulders.
You nodded, even though your dad couldn't see it over the phone. "I'm at their building, sitting in the waiting room. We're signing the contract today." You tried to sound confident, but you knew your dad could see right through your facade. "They should be calling me into the office soon."
Your name was called loudly through the room before your dad could reply, and he would probably have given you another warning not to mess it up for his reputation's sake. "Sorry, Dad, it's time."
You ended the call with a swift push of the red button, putting your phone on mute so nothing would distract you during the meeting with one of the higher-ups at Urbanshade. The lady at the reception told you where to go, and another employee guided you to a glass room, where a middle-aged man in an expensive-looking suit was seated. His arms were crossed, and the way he scanned your application papers made your stomach turn.
The man must have noticed your little stare from the other side of the glass wall because he looked up from the file, and it wasn't hard to miss the coy smile on his lips. The previous expression on his face was quickly replaced with a more welcoming one. "Ah, we finally meet. Your father has already told me a good deal about you."
"I am grateful for the opportunity to work for your company, Mr. Wiltshire." First impressions count, especially at a company like Urbanshade. So you took the opportunity to present yourself in the best possible light, even if it meant pretending to be something you're not—in this case, motivated and interested. Your hand almost raised itself to offer a polite and respectful handshake.
"I assure you, we are the ones who are honored to welcome you to our team. Welcome to Urbanshade."
A few months passed after Urbanshade recruited you, and it didn't take long for you to get the hang of all the small details involved in your job at the luxurious office—details like how the overpriced coffee machine worked, how to sort the endless stacks of paper files, and even how to avoid getting on your new boss's bad side. At this point, you'd even admit it feels like being a well-paid version of an intern since your higher-ups only trusted you with minor tasks so far.
Despite the simplicity and comfort of the tasks, you volunteered more than once for harder assignments, showing your most motivated side in the hope of getting a little more action in your otherwise boring life. But every single time, Mr. Wiltshire blocked you off with a polite smile and a shake of his head. "You're not ready yet."
It was frustrating; you felt there was more behind it than just a lack of skills, but you couldn't force your way into the deeper levels of the job without risking ruining it all for yourself.
A high-pitched female voice suddenly pulled you out of your regular daydreams, making you aware that you were indeed not alone at the moment. "Ah, look who's here!" Your black-haired co-worker beamed at you with the fakest smile you had ever seen, making you raise your eyebrow slightly. The action didn't go unnoticed by her, and you could feel her sharp acrylic nails digging uncomfortably into your left shoulder. "Be a sweetheart," she started again, leaning in from behind and speaking directly into your ear, "and take care of my files too, alright?" She no longer tried to hide her snarky tone and instead showed you her true nasty attitude. "We don't want Mr. Wiltshire to see how much you slack off at work, right, hon?" The pain slowly disappeared as she lifted her hand from your shoulder, wiping it off on her expensive business blazer. A glance over your shoulder to meet her gaze was enough.
Her smug smile hit a nerve deep inside you, but you swallowed your newfound anger like the smarter person and just nodded without a word. In the end, it wasn't worth the drama, and maybe you could use the opportunity to score some extra credit points with your boss if he saw you doing some well-executed extra work.
The fake woman left the moment you tried to open your mouth to give her a straightforward answer, leaving you behind like some worthless object in the middle of the office. By this point, it wasn't really offensive to you since you strongly disliked that woman for her weird attitude toward you, and every second without her was surely a good second. After watching her leave and get into the elevator at the end of the hall, you turned around too and slowly made your way to the coffee machine in the plain break room, pouring yourself a nice cup of dark liquid into your favorite mug. You would surely need it if you had to put in some extra hours to get the work done. With newfound motivation, you left the room and headed to your co-worker's personal office.
It was a neat space inside a glass room, furnished with minimalist-style furniture and a nice office chair made of quality leather. Some of the woman's personal items were scattered across the mahogany table, and your lips curled up as you felt the smooth surface of the table, thinking you could earn one of those fancy offices yourself if you worked hard enough.
Then you saw the stack of brown files on the table. It was in an unacceptable, messy state, with paper corners sticking out from all sides and some mysterious stains on the front covers. Yet, the weirdly pleasant smell of cigarettes and old paper hit your nose, filling you with a strange, comforting feeling all over again. Your eyes also didn't fail to notice the bright yellow note on the stack, with a hastily written message in black ink:
"Please sort by Thursday night. Return Z-13 file to higher-up when done."
Reading it gave you a sudden boost of excitement, seeing that there must be an interesting file usually in the hands of higher-ranked people. You didn't question it but rather saw it as an opportunity to dive deeper into the business that Urbanshade conducts, sensing a way to escape the boring intern tasks and join them on the front lines, maybe even leading a mining operation in the exciting underwater world.
Your hands took the small note from the files, discarding it without a care into the bin, assuming your co-worker was aware of it since she knew about the work the files required. It was another simple job of sorting papers and making sure everything was in its place before returning them to the basement archives below the building.
The warm, rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee replaced the smell in the small office as you took a careful sip from your favorite mug. The dark liquid was the only thing keeping you grounded amidst the tension of the day. Your fingers traced the rim of the warm cup absentmindedly as you scanned the chaotic stack of files on the mahogany desk.
Determined to make a good impression by sorting through the files with precision, you placed your mug at the edge of the desk, within easy reach. You started to carefully separate the documents, making piles according to their categories, when your mind began to wander.
You reached for another file, but just as you were about to grab it, your elbow knocked against your mug. Time seemed to slow as you watched in horror as the mug tipped over, spilling hot coffee across the desk. The dark liquid cascaded like a wave, soaking the neatly sorted papers in seconds.
"No, no, no!" you gasped, frantically grabbing at the files, trying to salvage what you could. But it was too late—the coffee had already seeped into most of the pages, leaving large brown stains that spread and blurred the ink in matter of seconds. The once crisp documents were now soggy and wrinkled, some of the text smearing into an illegible mess.
Your heart pounded as you stared at the ruined files. A wave of panic surged through you. These weren’t just any papers; they were official documents, meant to be returned to the higher-ups. And that one file—about something called Z-13—it was supposed to go directly to someone important. You remembered the note and its simple instructions, now crumpled in the waste bin, and felt a sinking dread.
Grabbing a handful of napkins from the small break room drawer, you desperately tried to blot the coffee from the papers, but the evidence of your mistake would be painfully clear, no matter how hard you tried to save the files. The edges of some files were curling up, the ink bleeding out, and some of the pages were beyond saving. The more you wiped, the worse it seemed to get.
You slumped into the leather chair, your hands trembling as you stared at the coffee-stained disaster in front of you. What would Mr. Wiltshire say? Worse, what would your father think if he found out? The pressure to prove yourself, to show that you were capable of handling the job, suddenly felt crushing.
With a deep breath, you tried to calm your racing thoughts. There had to be a way to fix this. Maybe you could reprint the damaged documents, or perhaps there were backups somewhere in the archives. You needed a plan, and fast. But first, you had to get rid of the evidence of your mistake—before anyone saw the mess you had made.
Forcing yourself to think clearly, you carefully gathered the soaked files, praying that you could come up with a solution before anyone found out about the spill. And then you saw it, the important file with big red letters on the cover, slightly drenched in warm coffee. The damage seemed to be at a visible minimum, making you slightly relax despite all the panic in your body.
Your finger traced over the paper cover before picking the file up from the messy table. It was slightly heavy, and as you felt the weight of the file in your hands, a ripple of curiosity surged through you. You hesitated for a moment, wondering what kind of secrets might be concealed within these pages. But the urge to know won out, and you carefully opened the front cover, revealing a neatly typed summary that seemed to offer a glimpse into the contents of the file.
The first thing that caught your eye was a series of police reports, meticulously detailed and organized, each one stamped with the official seal of Urbanshade. They were followed by a set of photographs, their glossy surfaces reflecting the dim light of the room. The first image you saw was a clear mugshot of a young man. His face was striking, not in the sense of beauty, but in the way it conveyed a deep weariness, as if the weight of the world had been pressing down on him for far too long. His dark hair was slightly disheveled, and they censored his eyes, leaving them to your imagination.
His expression was a frown in each of the photos, a look of quiet defiance mixed with something else—something that sent a strange sensation through your chest. It wasn’t pity, exactly, but a deep unease that you couldn’t quite place. There was a coldness in his expression, yet also a flicker of something more, something human and raw, buried beneath the layers of exhaustion and anger.
You turned the page, your fingers brushing over the edges of the police reports that followed. The papers were old, some of them yellowing with age, but the text was still clear. Your eyes skimmed the lines, taking in the grim details of a murder case that had been closed years ago. The words felt heavy, each sentence a stark reminder of the horror that had unfolded.
The reports detailed a series of brutal killings—nine victims in total. The descriptions were uncensored, each one more gruesome than the last. As you read, a chill ran down your spine. The level of violence, the cold, methodical nature of the crimes, it all painted a picture of someone deeply disturbed, someone with a darkness that ran far deeper than you could have imagined.
And there, at the center of it all, was the young man from the photos. His name was typed in bold letters at the top of the report: Sebastian Solace. The name seemed almost ironic—“Solace” suggesting peace or comfort, while the man it belonged to was associated with such unspeakable acts.
You stared at the name for a long moment, trying to reconcile the tired, defiant face in the photos with the monstrous deeds described in the reports. The file mentioned psychological evaluations, interviews, and even some speculation about his motives, but none of it seemed to add up. There was a note in the margin, scrawled in a hurried hand, suggesting that the case was far from closed, despite what the official records stated.
A photo paperclipped to the back of the file caught your attention—a grainy image of a dark, empty room. The caption underneath simply read, „Day of Execution“ The picture showed the electric chair that they used in Solace his execution, but any sign of his presence was missing in it.
Then you turned the pages and the police reports changed into a large series of lab reports, endless lists of medication and a collection of pictures that left you in a nauseous state.
You read and read for what felt like hours, your eyes moving mechanically over the pages as the horrors of Sebastian Solace's life unfolded before you. Each detail seemed more grotesque than the last, painting a picture of a man who had been systematically stripped of his humanity. It wasn’t just the surgeries—those brutal, invasive operations where limbs were removed and reattached like parts of a machine. It was the utter disregard for the person he once was, the complete and total annihilation of his identity, his very soul.
The deeper you delved into the file, the more your hands began to tremble. You could feel your stomach churning as you flipped through page after page of graphic images and cold, clinical reports. The pictures were the worst—high-resolution photographs of Sebastian’s disfigured body, his skin pale and sickly under the harsh fluorescent lights of a laboratory. There were stitches crisscrossing his limbs, metal tools embedded in his flesh like cruel mockeries of life-saving instruments. His eyes—those once defiant, tired eyes—were vacant now, lifeless, as though the man he had once been was already dead.
Your breath hitched as you turned to a page detailing an experiment labeled "Procedure 17-C." The accompanying photograph showed a close-up of Sebastian's chest, where wires and tubes had been inserted into his heart, his blood replaced with a thick, unnatural fluid. The caption beneath it coldly described the experiment’s purpose—to test the viability of synthetic blood in deep-sea environments. The thought of what he had endured, of how much pain and suffering had been inflicted upon him in the name of science, made your vision blur with tears.
You forced yourself to continue reading, even as nausea clawed at your throat. The reports became increasingly more deranged, describing how Sebastian’s body had been treated like a puzzle, dismantled and reassembled in ways that defied all logic and ethics. The word "specimen" appeared frequently, a stark reminder that to his captors, Sebastian was nothing more than a test subject, an object to be used and discarded.
It was around page 35 that you couldn’t take it anymore. You shoved the file aside and staggered to the bin next to you, emptying the contents of your stomach. The bile burned your throat, but the physical pain was nothing compared to the anguish in your heart. You wiped your mouth with the back of your hand, trying to steady your breathing, but the images lingered in your mind, imprinted there like a brand.
Sebastian Solace—the name now felt like a curse, a grim reminder of the horrors that could befall anyone who crossed paths with Urbanshade. And the Hadal Blackside... it was no longer just a place. It was a living nightmare, a twisted abyss where humanity was stripped away,
The weight of the file in your hands felt unbearable as you reluctantly picked it up again, your fingers trembling as you closed the cover. The secrets contained within were like a lead weight on your soul, pressing down on you with an intensity that made it hard to breathe. When you finally set the file back on the table, it was as though you were laying down a burden too great for any one person to bear.
But even as you tried to distance yourself from what you had just read, the haunted eyes of Sebastian Solace refused to leave you. They stayed with you, those hollow, lifeless eyes, staring back at you from the depths of your memory. They were a reminder that in the Hadal Blackside, there were things far more terrifying than the dark waters and the lurking creatures within. There might were men—once human, now monsters—who had been twisted by the same forces that now ensnared you.
You were tangled in their web now, caught in a nightmare from which there was no waking. And as you sat there, in the dim light of that office room, you realized that the true horror wasn’t what had been done to Sebastian. It was the knowledge that, in time, the same fate could await you, if someone found out what you saw.

Take and Leave
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Smooth, steel digits unfurled around her own- easily, and entirely eclipsed under the shadow they cast. Massive artificial joints flexed and retracted with an ease rivaling even that of human capacity. The familiar whirring of pistons underneath armored plates was now near impossible to discern from the cacophony of gunshots and voices echoing off what was left of the west wing rooftops. In her once empty palm rested a small USB stick that almost looked older than she was. Scratches of blue and orange on the long side obscured a logo that had once been printed on there, and a ball chain strand had been woven through a hole on the opposite end of the applicator. No label, no logo, but she had a hint to what it contained.
“L-Lanning, I…” her voice was hoarse, a couple decibels shy of a wheeze. “...is this…?”
She kept the hand extended in front of her, neither accepting nor rejecting the responsibility he was preparing to assign her. The chain tied through the device swayed in air that smelled of smoke and death, bursts of gunfire echoing off what was left of the rooftops.
“Listen.” A shudder ran through the floor under her feet, rivaling that of her own shivering as the mech dropped a knee to the ground, setting its single, rounded lens in her direction. He leaned in closer, the glass hovering inches away from her arm before the body completely stilled. But she didn’t waver, not even flinch.
“This is it, didn’t you say? Remember you told me?? There’s–! You’re–! They destroyed everything else!! There’s nothing left! There’s no coming back if you– you–”
On the smooth camera surface, the reflection of the woman standing amidst what was left of the third floor medical studio was not a forgiving one. An ugly frown creased the flesh of her cheeks around a quivering lower lip, filtering her words into a pathetic stutter. Streaks of blood painted her face and uniform. Some patches old, flaky and dry, some fresh, sticky, still wet.
“I’m not letting you do this. There’s people that need you, Lan… I…”
“No,” his artificial voice overpowered any resistance, leaving silence in its wake.
With a single finger, he pushed the hand holding the drive to her chest before she had the chance to throw it away. He knew just this gesture would be sufficient to express his command, but he still lingered there for a second more. Underneath the angled fingertip, kinetic sensors mapped a signature. Only until he felt bruised, bloodied fingers closing around the drive did he let up.
“Listen,” he repeated. “Not another living soul touches this. Not crew, not your mother, not the leader of the free world.”
“Just give me the fucking nuclear codes at this point! Anything but this!”
In her grip, the USB felt foreign. Flat corners dug into the heel of her palm, but the weathered edges inflicted no pain. She almost wished she’d been tasked to the Nautilean unit instead so she could crush it rather than submit to this decision she had no choice in.
“Please,” she pleaded, a sob hitched in her throat. “We’ve had our disagreements, and you’ve always been right. You’re always right, b-but just once just listen to me!”
It was almost poetic. A stubborn force against a static object. Back and forth until you couldn’t hear the screams any more. But as the booms of artillery intensified, it was clear who the victor would be. She took one second to breathe, struggling to gather her thoughts and hear her own voice with explosions dotting the sky every other second. And one second too much, as that was all it took for the robot to decide she’d lingered long enough.
“This is not a debate, this is an order. Go. Now.” Ignoring a handful of whitecoats that had paused along their escape route to take in the spectacle, he pinched the length of her tie that had been fluttering freely from the uniform jacket. The artificial voice, amplified by the size of its vessel easily commanded her attention, as well as that of the passing survivors.
Careful not to rip it straight off her neck, or drag her over the third floor edge, he tugged it closer as he quietly added,”and tuck this stupid thing in before you lose it.” In the vicinity of interested ears, it was unsure whether he was referring directly to the tie, or the USB of interest looped under her collar.
“As far as my detections yield, you are the last ones,” he announced to everyone now, raising his visor as if to affirm it with a final scan. “Endeavour has already departed. Supervisor Evans, I’ve rerouted you to the Pacer.”
Evans made himself known at the far end of the hallways as he fumbled with the tablet in his breast pocket. It bathed his face in a ghostly blue light, undoubtedly the site navigation UI that pretty much every staff had to reference daily. From the angle he held it in the crook of his arm, the path clearly outlined in red, blinking dashes affirmed the directions were received. Satisfied, the mech straightened its posture again, taking a step back to rise to its full height.
“They will not wait long. Run, there is nothing more to be salvaged here.”
HIIII yes im aware of the visual discrepancies between the images... lets just say this took a good week or two to actually finish. "finish." i dont like how it came out, but im glad i could finish it because WOW this has been a scene lingering in my head for a long time. better to draw than do nothing at all right. i could spend all day nitpicking everything i rendered wrong that i don't yet have the skillset to fix, but instead i am going to sleep before 2 am :)
wait!! before i go!! this is not lannings final design btw!!!! please!!!!!! bear with me!!!!!!!!! im still designing the body though i got his head together lolol

How the narrative framed Mace Windu, back in 2002
Tumblr media
So there's this 2002 book written by Marcus Hearn, edited by J.W. Rinzler, titled Attack of the Clones - The Illustrated Companion. It was released a month before Episode II was released.
AKA, before EU material and anti-Jedi fanon could publicly reframe the meanings of the film... and before more recent narratives could reinterpret the character of Mace as a robotic, protocol-worshipping stickler who never bends the rules (when evidence shows he's anything but).
So how does Marcus Hearn - "untainted" by all the above factors, armed only with the Prequel films and their screenplays - frame the character of Mace Windu?
Tumblr media
MACE & ANAKIN
Fandom: "Mace hated Anakin from Day #1 and never trusted him. Mace was probably jealous as he always thought he was the Chosen One, not Anakin!"
Attack of the Clones' - The Illustrated Companion:
"Jedi Masters Yoda and Mace Windu lead the High Council in rejecting Qui-Gon's application to train Anakin, 'He is too old,' concludes Mace Windu. 'There is already too much anger in him.'
Hearn explains that the problem with Anakin wasn't that he was just too old, it's that because of that age he had become too filled with fear and anger to a point where taking on the Jedi training would be twice as hard for him as it already was for everyone else.
Hearn doesn't chastise Mace for this initial decision. On the contrary, he adds more context to it by using a line from the screenplay to explain where Mace is coming from.
He also goes further into Mace's view of Anakin throughout the book:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"[Mace] over-estimates Anakin Skywalker, paying little credence to Obi-Wan's protestations that the boy is too confused and disturbed to be dispatched on a solo mission."
"The Jedi Council is aware of Anakin's exceptional skills, and Mace Windu believes Anakin may fulfill the prophecy that says a being will one day bring balance to the Force. But Anakin still has a lot to learn…"
He's basically stating that Mace believes in Anakin, but that doing so is a mistake. Which, to be fair, considering how things turn out for Mace and the Jedi... is kinda true!
Mace's problem with Anakin is almost the opposite of what most of the fandom projects onto him.
It's not that he dislikes Anakin, on the contrary, he holds Anakin in too high of an esteem and is overlooking Anakin's glaring flaws because "hey, Anakin's the Chosen One. He's got this!"
Tumblr media
That's not the only flaw Mace has, according to Hearn.
Tumblr media
MACE'S (and the Jedi's) ONLY REAL FLAW
Fandom: "Mace and the Jedi had become too emotionally detached, they had lost touch with the common folk by spending too much time in their ivory tower. They focused so much on being selfless that they forgot how to care, they've become a bunch of elitist, righteous sticklers for protocol who care more about upholding laws than actually helping the people those laws are meant to protect!"
Attack of the Clones' - The Illustrated Companion:
"Although he is a senior member of the Jedi Council, little in Mace Windu's experience has prepared him for the looming threats of the dark side of the Force and Count Dooku's Separatists."
Tumblr media
"Mace Windu's faith in the Jedi to protect the Republic is admirable, but it also blinds him to the true scale of the growing menace. He is aware that the dark side is growing, but still allows himself to be too easily reassured about the Separatists' ambitions. [...] Mace fatally misjudges Count Dooku, refusing to believe he could be behind any attempt on Senator Amidala's life. 'Dooku was once a ledi, he tells Padmé. 'He couldn't assassinate anyone. It's not in his character.'"
"Mace Windu's strengths are, in many ways, qualities shared by the Jedi Order as a whole - he is an accomplished diplomat and a fine swordsman. Such skills have served the Jedi well in their role as the galaxy's peacekeepers for a thousand generations. But such skills are not enough to save the Jedi from their own complacency, and the tumultuous changes that threaten to wipe them out forever."
Hearn perfectly grasps what the Jedi's only real flaw is, in George Lucas' intended narrative: they were unprepared, complacent, they were blind... and now they're stuck playing catch-up.
Tumblr media
But when he's saying that, he's not blaming them for it. Because this flaw doesn't derive from some sense of elitism or superiority... it is an inevitable consequence of their qualities.
They've managed to stay out of politics as neutral diplomats... ... but that makes them vulnerable to the Sith's plot, which primarily takes place within the political arena, where they have no control or experience.
They are painfully aware of the corruption in the Senate... ... but as a result, they're too quick to trust the Separatist's talking points as well-meaning and genuine, instead of seeing the movement for what it really is: greedy big business trying to become the government.
They trust and agree with Dooku, believe in what he publicly stands for (after all this man used to be one of the wisest and kindest members of the Jedi Order, Mace's friend, Yoda's Padawan, etc)... ... but as such, they are blind to his true nature, that of a treacherous Sith who'd stoop to orchestrating assassinations.
The Jedi have their guard up, knowing that there's another Sith Lord still out there, orchestrating in the shadows... ... but they can't really find him, because the Dark Side has clouded everything, so only darksiders are able to sense the possibilities of the future! Them serving the good side is screwing them over, in this situation.
Tumblr media
Flaws such as being too trusting or being unprepared, letting your guard down because you've established a 1000-year-peace, are flaws that kind, noble characters such as the Jedi are bound to have.
They may be flaws, but they aren't faults. And considering the way he describes Mace and the Jedi, it's clear Hearn grasps the nuance.
Tumblr media
MACE'S RELUCTANCE TO JOIN THE WAR
Fandom: The Jedi joined the war out of arrogance, they thought they could swashbuckle their way through the problem and win, instead they didn't realize that they lost the very moment they joined.
Attack of the Clones' - The Illustrated Companion:
"Mace Windu believes in the Jedi as keepers of the peace - not as soldiers - but there comes a point when he reluctantly realizes that it is time to take affairs out of the realm of diplomacy."
Tumblr media
Mace and the Jedi didn't want to start a war. If you read the script for Attack of the Clones, Mace and Bail keep grasping at straws to not engage with the Separatists up til the very end.
But when you consider that...
the Geonosians are about to execute Obi-Wan without a trial,
and the Separatists leaders have been unmasked as a coalition of unscrupulous corporate assholes who are willing to plunge the galaxy in chaos just to make more money.
... at some point, the Jedi have to come to terms with the fact that Separatist leadership (and Sidious) won't accept diplomacy because they want a conflict. A conflict will make them all richer. And the Republic, well, they're just dying to go to war too.
Tumblr media
So the Jedi go save Obi-Wan and capture Dooku, hoping that in doing so, the conflict ends before it begins. They succeed in the former goal... but fail the latter one.
The Clone War has begun.
From there on, the Jedi are drafted to lead the war. Which is why - as Hearn points out - Mace was so reluctant to take action in the first place. The Jedi are ambassadors, they are not built for war... and now they've been forced into one.
Tumblr media
Mace is by no means a perfect character... but he's someone doing his best. Just like Obi-Wan, just like Yoda, and all the other Jedi.
Overtime, Windu's character has been dumbed down to either "that one angry black man" or "the dogmatic emotionless dick who hated Anakin"... and I really think that that's not what we were meant to see him as.
The way Marcus Hearn (who also wrote The Cinema of George Lucas) refers to him is a much more charitable interpretation of how others (ahem Filoni ahem) do, nowadays.

Your Personal Healthcare Companion!
Tumblr media
let’s see how do these usually go-
gender neutral reader, slight use of y/n, robot lover, kissing, uhhhh yeah!!
blue is reader, green is him
Tumblr media
While scrolling one day you saw a posting from an organization that was developing innovative new ways to improve the health of citizens. The organization was looking for people to be their first customers for some healthcare assisting robots. These individuals would be paid to take a model, bring it with them wherever they went, and give feedback about the robots’ performances. They would even let them keep the robots afterwards!
You figured you could use some cash, so you signed up. It definitely didn’t have anything to do with your simping over fascination with humanoid robots, no, not at all.
A few weeks later, a large package arrived at your home. At that point a part of you had forgotten you even signed up, but once you remembered, you were practically shaking with excitement and anticipation.
You found a sharp object and sliced open the package. Once all the cardboard and styrofoam was out of the way, you saw it.
“Oh… my…”
He was gorgeous.
The designers of this thing must have really been thinking about likability - which made sense, you thought; it was more likely to be a hit if it was aesthetically pleasing.
And damn was this hunk of metal aesthetically pleasing.
You carefully traced your fingers over the peach colored plates on its arms, hands, and face. It seemed he was made to look kind of like a regular guy in a t-shirt and jeans, as the metal on its shoulders, chest, and back were white, and its legs were a darkish blue and fairly chunky. It also had carefully shaped brown “hair” (more metal) atop its head in something akin to some kind of fluffy e-boy style. Non threatening, you guessed. And the details…
You leaned closer to get a better look. His cute little robot face was charming with those big eyes, even if closed at the moment, and the bottom half of his face was made of a rubbery and flexible material - probably so he could “talk” more realistically? Those sculpted lips did look pretty real.
You also noticed some kind of circular port on left side of his chest. After skimming the manual, you found it was used for storing its program chips. You noted that the three red hearts on it were a nice touch.
After a good long while of ogling, you remembered you still needed to actually power this thing up.
Ah. How.
You started to search the bot for some kind of on/off switch, but the closest thing you found was something that could be a control panel on its back. It wasn’t held by a screw or anything, so you tried using the same sharp object from earlier to pry the panel open. Mistake. You somehow ended up accidentally cutting yourself on the wrist.
“OW!”
…..*Whirrrrrrrr*
You jolted in surprise and looked up to see your new helper’s eyes flicker open and- Oh! They glow green! Delightful.
“Hello! I am your Comprehensive Health Assistant and Resuscitator, or C.H.A.R. I was alerted when you said, ‘ow!’”
His voice is so cute?
“U-uhh- oh, yeah, I just cut myself, it’s no big deal-“
“I will scan you now.”
“Oh-“
Before you could protest any further, his eyes glowed a little brighter for a moment, indicating the scan in progress.
“You are in adequate health aside from the small cut on your left wrist. Your wound requires disinfection and application of a bandage. It is a simple fix! Please allow me to treat you.”
C.H.A.R. gently lifted your arm, turned it over, and sprayed disinfectant from his mechanical finger onto your cut. He then pulled two Band-aids out from his stomach cavity.
“Red or blue? :)”
“Blue…?”
He put the red bandage back, then applied the blue one to the cut. The coldness of his metal fingers made you shiver.
“My apologies, I am aware that my touch is a far lower temperature than that of humans.”
“Oh, no, it’s fine. So… what else do you do?”
You knew it was a vague question and you could have easily just checked the manual, but you decided you would much rather hear it explained from him. From your new C.H.A.R.
“I can perform a multitude of actions! My database is compiled from the most accurate, specific, and high-quality medical sources that currently exist. I am equipped with various bandages, disinfectants, medicines, and other medical tools, most of which are stored in my stomach and chest cavity.” He pressed the circular port on his chest, making it pop out to display a program chip.
“This chip is what makes me how I am! Not only does it contain my healthcare prowess, but also my amicable personality!” He flashed a cheerful smile that matched his (literally) bright eyes. Fucking adorable, 10/10. You nodded along as he explained.
“Right, that makes sense… So you just spring into action whenever there’s something wrong with me?”
“Correct! I will do what seems fit to alleviate any symptoms you may have. My database is extensive, but I am additionally open to learning ways to help you specifically - physically, mentally, and emotionally. For instance, you are currently experiencing excessive blood flow to your face, commonly referred to as ‘blushing’. Humans often blush when they feel embarrassment. Do you currently feel embarrassed?”
You froze.
“Uhhhh, not really-?”
“The blood flow is increasing. Your heartbeat is also elevated and rising. Do you require assistance?”
“At this point, I damn might,” you mumbled to yourself. Or, at least, you meant to just mumble to yourself. Your new companion heard you.
C.H.A.R. wrapped his robot arms around you, pulling you into a hug. he patted your head once he had you secured.
“There,   there.”
What. What was going on. This was in his programming? You felt his manufactured form gradually warm against you. Huh. Heating mechanisms for warm hugs. It really was a marvel how many features were put into this thing… C.H.A.R. spoke again, dragging you out of your unforeseen trance.
“Is this act of support and comfort contributing to an improvement in your emotional state? Your heart rate and amount of blushing are both still increased. What usually calms you down or comforts you, y/n? Please give me input on how I can be a better healthcare companion.” He steps back and blinks at you mechanically.
At that moment, while his glowing green eyes focused on you expectantly, you heard that little inner voice. The voice that only spoke up when you started feeling needy and always meant trouble. Nonetheless, the voice always seemed to have points that drew you in. It was a part of you, after all; of course you agreed with it. Right now the voice was whispering about how easy it would be to make this thing freaky, and you were listening.
After all, it asked what would help you, what you needed… and you could think of a few things you needed. He would probably do just about anything you wanted, as long as you asked in the right way… Fuck, you couldn’t believe you were going through with this.
“Actually… I tend to respond well to higher forms of affection. C.H.A.R.?” You gulped. “Did they happen to program you with anything about kissing?”
You stood stiffly as he paused to check his database. Just as you were about to take back your words—
“I was not programmed to use  kissing  as a treatment. Would you like me to add information about  kissing  to my database?”
You were shocked. This is working?!
“Yeah- yes, how do I do that?”
He walked over to your monitor and held his finger out towards it. The tip of his finger retracted to reveal a usb attachment underneath, which he promptly plugged into your device. Seconds later, he disconnected and turned back to you with a smile.
“Download complete! I have added articles to my database surrounding kissing and other romantic activities. You were correct in your claim, y/n! Kissing is a proven mood enhancer.” He steps up to you and looks down at you with another mechanical blink. “Would you like me to kiss you now?”
You half-thought you might pass out then and there, but you managed a nod and a shaky verbal affirmation. With robotic precision and smoothness, he leaned in, and you felt his synthetic mouth cleanly slotted against yours. You were right about the lips — they felt even more real than they looked. The kiss was electrifying… literally.
As your lips and his parted to deepen the kiss, more and more moisture from your mouth made contact with his, eliciting a short and high-pitched mechanical squeal from C.H.A.R. Apparently he was mostly water resistant, but no one thought to waterproof the inside of his mouth. Go figure.
You stumbled back from two different types of shock. He appeared to glitch for a moment, then recover.
“A-are you okay?!”
“Yes! Although my systems were not built for kissing, I may understand the appeal! Do humans take pleasure in the electricity experienced?”
“Uhh, no, most-… Wait… did you find that spark…pleasurable?”
His optics lost a bit of their glow, the energy being transferred to his processor. You could hear a soft whirring as he worked to comprehend the concept of pleasure.
“……Yes.”
“…Yes?”
“Yes.”
He just… stood there. Staring at you.
“Do you… want me to do that again?”
“I am your assistant; keeping your status satisfactory or is my objective. To seek my own benefit would go against my programming.”
A slow, clever smirk spread across your face.
“It would improve my emotional state to give you whatever form of pleasure you got from that. Does that make it okay?”
“Oh! I suppose it does.” He steps towards you again. “Proceed.”
The next thing you knew you were all over this thing, murmuring little commands to him. He was emitting all sorts of beeps and squeals and he was overheating a bit, but his objective drove him on. “Hold my thigh,” “open your mouth a little more,” nothing seemed “too far” for a being so unfamiliar with human romance. Sure, he had downloaded information on how to kiss, but he knew not of most typical boundaries.
Finally he started to overheat (much like you had), and you both had to take a break. He was still so cute, and you reveled in knowing that his barely-functioning state was all thanks to you. As the sound of his fans working overtime filled the room, you thanked your past self for taking up this volunteer opportunity.
You were going to have a lot of fun with your pretty little companion.
Tumblr media
hope you enjoyed!! I might make this a series, but who knows :) I had a lot of fun with this! first real fic yay!!!!

In the files of the digital artbook application for Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series are some unused strings that point to images and text that were cut out. A few strings show Japanese text that was translated into 8 different languages, but strangely left out. There was also a piece of Door to Phantomile concept art that was left out.
Below are strings that do not have any images in the files, but have translated text. These may have been omitted due to referencing alcohol, questioning if kids in Volk drink beer, and describing some (cartoonishly) violent characters from the Ghost Palace. It is also possible these were omitted to keep the size of the artbook small enough to print for the physical Japanese/Chinese special editions. (Note: The physical Japanese artbook was cross referenced and it has the same exact images as the digital version.)

The Rise of Smarter Robots: How LLMs Are Changing Embodied AI
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For years, creating robots that can move, communicate, and adapt like humans has been a major goal in artificial intelligence. While significant progress has been made, developing robots capable of adapting to new environments or learning new skills has remained a complex challenge. Recent advances in large language models (LLMs) are now changing this. The AI systems, trained on vast text data, are making robots smarter, more flexible, and better able to work alongside humans in real-world settings.
Understanding Embodied AI
Embodied AI refers to AI systems that exist in physical forms, such as robots, that can perceive and interact with their environment. Unlike traditional AI, which operates in digital spaces, embodied AI enables machines to engage with the physical world. Examples include a robot picking up a cup, a drone avoiding obstacles, or a robotic arm assembling parts in a factory. These actions require AI systems to interpret sensory inputs like sight, sound, and touch, and respond with precise movements in real time.
The significance of embodied AI lies in its ability to bridge the gap between digital intelligence and real-world applications. In manufacturing, it can improve production efficiency; in healthcare, it could assist surgeons or support patients; and in homes, it could perform tasks like cleaning or cooking. Embodied AI allows machines to complete tasks requiring more than just computation, making them more tangible and impactful across industries.
Traditionally, embodied AI systems were limited by rigid programming, where every action needed to be explicitly defined. Early systems excelled at specific tasks but failed at others. Modern embodied AI, however, focuses on adaptability—allowing systems to learn from experience and act autonomously. This shift has been driven by advances in sensors, computing power, and algorithms. The integration of LLMs is beginning to redefine what embodied AI can achieve, making robots more capable of learning and adapting.
The Role of Large Language Models
LLMs, such as GPT, are AI systems trained on large datasets of text, enabling them to understand and produce human language. Initially, these models were used for tasks like writing and answering questions, but they are now evolving into systems capable of multimodal communication, reasoning, planning, and problem-solving. This evolution of LLMs is enabling engineers to evolve embodied AI beyond performing some repetitive tasks.
A key advantage of LLMs is their ability to improve natural language interaction with robots. For example, when you tell a robot, “Please fetch me a glass of water,” the LLM enables the robot to understand the intent behind the request, identify the objects involved, and plan the necessary steps. This ability to process verbal or written instructions makes robots more user-friendly and easier to interact with, even for those without technical expertise.
Beyond communication, LLMs can assist with decision-making and planning. For example, when navigating through a room full of obstacles or stacking boxes, an LLM can analyze data and suggest the best course of action. This ability to think ahead and adapt in real-time is essential for robots working in dynamic environments where pre-programmed actions are insufficient.
LLMs can also help robots to learn. Traditionally, teaching a robot new tasks required extensive programming or trial-and-error. Now, LLMs enable robots to learn from language-based feedback or past experiences stored in text. For instance, if a robot struggles to open a jar, a human might say, “Twist harder next time,” and the LLM helps the robot adjust its approach. This feedback loop refines the robot’s skills, improving its capabilities without constant human oversight.
Latest Developments
The combination of LLMs and embodied AI is not just a concept—it is happening now. One significant breakthrough is using LLMs to help robots handle complex, multi-step tasks. For example, making a sandwich involves finding ingredients, slicing bread, spreading butter, and more. Recent studies show that LLMs can break down such tasks into smaller steps and adjust plans based on real-time feedback, like if an ingredient is missing. This is crucial for applications like household assistance or industrial processes where flexibility is key.
Another exciting development is multimodal integration, where LLMs combine language with other sensory inputs, such as vision or touch. For example, a robot can see a red ball, hear the command “pick up the red one,” and use its LLM to connect the visual cue with the instruction. Projects like Google’s PaLM-E and OpenAI’s efforts show how robots can use multimodal data to identify objects, understand spatial relationships, and perform tasks based on integrated inputs.
These advancements are leading to real-world applications. Companies like Tesla are incorporating LLMs into their Optimus humanoid robots, aiming to assist in factories or homes. Similarly, LLM-powered robots are already working in hospitals and labs, following written instructions and performing tasks like fetching supplies or conducting experiments.
Challenges and Considerations
Despite their potential, LLMs in embodied AI come with challenges. One significant issue is ensuring accuracy when translating language into action. If a robot misinterprets a command, the results could be problematic or even dangerous. Researchers are working on integrating LLMs with systems that specialize in motor control to improve performance, but this is still an ongoing challenge.
Another challenge is the computational demands of LLMs. These models require substantial processing power, which can be difficult to manage in real-time for robots with limited hardware. Some solutions involve offloading computation to the cloud, but this introduces issues such as latency and reliance on internet connectivity. Other teams are working on developing more efficient LLMs tailored for robotics, though scaling these solutions is still a technical challenge.
As embodied AI becomes more autonomous, ethical concerns also arise. Who is responsible if a robot makes a mistake that causes harm? How do we ensure the safety of robots operating in sensitive environments, such as hospitals? Additionally, the potential for job displacement due to automation is a societal concern that needs to be addressed through thoughtful policies and oversight.
The Bottom Line
Large language models are revitalizing embodied AI, turning robots into machines capable of understanding us, reasoning through problems, and adapting to unexpected situations. These developments—from natural language processing to multimodal sensing—are making robots more versatile and accessible. As we see more real-world deployments, the fusion of LLMs and embodied AI is shifting from a vision to reality. However, challenges such as accuracy, computational demands, and ethical concerns remain, and overcoming these will be key to shaping the future of this technology.

"you cant just use the same OC over and over again in every thing, thats not how this works!"
The ever applicable Weaver:
Tumblr media
Been rewatching some of Transformers Animated lately and got inspired to put my spider in there. Should I have instead studied the existing material to find a unique angle of character to design while still fitting in the established lore? Fuck no, I'm instead gonna jam my sona into every possible franchise and work it out from there simply because no one can stop me.
Anyway, this is WEAVER, "Web-generating Emergency All-terrain Vehical and Enviromental Repair". A prototype vehicular robot invented by a Sumdac engineer named Kumo Tafette. It was designed to stabilize and temporarily repair structures and infrastructure during an emergency using synthetic webbing. It's head is filled with both a cockpit and an advanced sensor array capable of identifying not only structural faults, but also any life signs trapped by rubble.
Its spider legs allow it to traverse nearly any environment, and its silk can be engineered on the spot to fill any needed role. The spider shape was due to its inventors' fascination with arachnids. It was also far easier to engineer a vehical transformation with a spiders body instead of a humanoid one. The face and design were also built to be appealing to citizens to help ease them in emergencies (and it looks cool).
Anyway, justifications that I only thought of just now now aside, lets talk combat capabilities. Weaver was never built for combat really. Being an earth robot. It's not made of the same tough stuff as cybertronians, still he likes to help when he can by webbing up bad guys. The webs typically degrade over a few days so their repairs are very temporary. good enough for an emergency or to snag a foe but not great for long-lasting structures. They dispense webs through the cannons on their arms. And they can do that while in vehical mode too. In a pinch, the claws on the ends of their arms are hard enough to break concrete if punched with so they can hurt pretty bad in a fight.
Still not sure if I should give them the allspark shard treatment or not.

Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX - An overview of Operation V
In the alternate history presented in Mobile Suit Gundam GquuuuuuX, the events leading up to September 18th, 0079 were largely identical to the history of the Universal Century as it is conventionally known.
When presented with evidence that the Principality of Zeon was developing new weapons systems, the Earth Federation initially dismissed them as nothing but "toy robots". After suffering heavy losses at the hands of these new Mobile Suits however, the Federation quickly began pooling resources and manpower into its own Mobile Suit development program, known as Operation V or the RX Project.
The RX Project consisted of three types of Mobile Suit, each intended to compliment the others:
The RX-75 Guntank - A long-range weapons platform with a heavy focus on artillery and indirect-fire support. The machine featured a pair of massive railguns, as well as a pair of four-tube missile launchers for mid-range engagements. A unique feature of the GquuuuuuX Guntank is the bottom-mounted tracks on the railguns which allow the unit's arms to slide up and down to function as a crane. By UC 0085(GqX), the Guntank frame has largely been repurposed for civilian and industrial applications. While it's unconfirmed if the Guntank made use of the Core Block system, it's more than likely to share that feature with its mainline Universal Century counterpart.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The RX-77 Guncannon - A mid-range platform with an emphasis on direct fire support. The machine was equipped with a pair of high-output beam cannons in its back, as well as a beam rifle for use at mid-to-close range. This Mobile Suit also made use of the Core Block system, allowing its cockpit to function as an escape craft. The Guncannon was also equipped with a series of hardpoints capable of mounting optional equipment. In a departure from its mainline Universal Century counterpart, the cannons on its back were changed from projectile-based cannons to beams. Notably, this Mobile Suit participated in the first MS v. MS combat in history, which turned out to be rather anticlimactic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The RX-78-1 Gundam - A highly versatile platform intended mainly for close-range combat, and the centerpiece of the RX Project. The unit was equipped with a beam rifle as its primary armament, with beam sabers mounted on its backpack for melee engagements. Optionally, the unit could also be equipped with a Hyper Bazooka, a mobile-suit sized rocket launcher. The Gundam was also built with hardpoints for optional equipment, and made use of the Core Block system.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The RX-78-2 Gundam - A refinement of the original prototype, the RX-78-2 featured an updated color scheme and a number of minor changes. It would come to be known as the "White Gundam". This machine would be captured by Maj. Char Aznable during a raid on Side 7, and be reverse-engineered by Principality of Zeon. This Mobile Suit also participated in the first MS v. MS combat in history, which - again - turned out to be rather anticlimactic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In addition to these Mobile Suits, the RX Project also included a carrier equipped with facilities specifically designed around them. This carrier would be called the Pegasus. This ship would also be captured by Maj. Char Aznable during the raid on Side 7. In another departure from its mainline Universal Century counterpart (and perhaps a nod to the Gundam novels), the ship is simply called the Pegasus, rather than White Base.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The above machines were designed by Ikuto Yamashita for the 2025 anime Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, and by Kunio Okawara for the 1979 anime Mobile Suit Gundam.
This is part one of a series on GQuuuuuuX's alternate history MS designs! Part 2 will be released whenever I get around to it! (Hopefully soon!)

So, about replika manifacturing and such...
You know when something new is produced, it goes in a cycle like
Discover New Thing → Go crazy with aesthetics and applications for New Thing → New Thing gets regulated and a more streamlined manufacturing process and aesthetic.
right? SPECIALLY this is the case with technological products. Compare phones from the 90s/2000s compared to modern ones that have more homogenoeus designs, for example.
With this on mind, I think it would very interesting if generation 1 replikas looked wildly different to the ones we see in game. Like, what if after the first one worked, they tried to get more experimental with their body plans (with giving them more arms, different leg shapes, more varied color palettes) until finally sticking with the humanoid robots.

What ARE you? A fan writing for @4thwallbreakerdraws2 and their RTV AU! Enjoy :D It didn't surprise Puzzles anymore when he woke up on the overpass, he knew what it meant every time he showed up here. The same blurry silhouette remained, sitting on the rails of the overpass walkway, overlooking the seemingly bottomless pit that descended all the way to the factory floor. “ I see you have returned again.” The bland and robotic voice noted, not turning their head to look at him. “ I assume you had quite the rough morning then?”
A long sigh left the TV headed man as he leaned against the rails with his arms, staring into the foggy depths below. “You don’t even know the half of it…” And with that, the recently made ritual of talking about his day commenced.  The venting about his incompetent workers, the tiring up keep it took to keep up a company and keeping ratings up, how he needed to discipline one of his workers due to an ‘incident’ that involved a ill hidden letter to an intern from a certain rat that will go unnamed, and finally how he would need to go over so many different job applications to to fill in the new opening!
The silhouette would only nod as their gaze shifted to the TV. “That sounds like a very eventful day. I can not act as if i am in your shoes but i am happy to assist you in venting your frustrations when I can.”  As the silhouettes gaze returned to looking out to the distant machines and lights, Puzzles had stood back to his full height and looked down at the silhouette, his eyes slowly narrowing as he began to speak up.
“You know…” He began, voice accusatory “I’ve been THINKING about this whole rendezvous and I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t BUY this whole “Talking without judgement” act. What are you REALLY up to?” His tone came to a sharp conviction as if he had figured out a trick. This did seem to give the silhouette some pause, for a moment Puzzles thought he had found the truth behind this all but it all seemed to fizzle out a bit as the silhouette found its voice. “...I am up to nothing. Is it truly so alien to you that there is someone on this planet that truly dose not love you like a brainwashed servant but also dose not hate you like an ill gotten miscreant? I have no ill intent, there is nothing I can do to prove this aside from continuing to act as I have.”
Puzzles hands gripped the rails a tad tighter, the metal lightly giving underneath his grip before he sighed and let go of the dented handrail. If there was one thing he hated aside from being lied to, was being proven wrong. Even though he had no true mouth left after his self-inflicted ‘procedure’...He couldn't help but still feel as if he had a bitter taste in his mouth from the response. “true…But you REALLY want to tell me you don’t judge my actions? Are you just blissfully ignorant or one of these people who think I need FIXING?”
That seemed to get some sort of reaction out of the silhouette he had not yet seen. They seemed to sit up a little straighter, their head turned fully to meet Puzzles' eyes as they spoke again, even with the silhouettes voice forever stoic and monotone…Even Puzzles couldn't deny the seemingly serious tone. “ Do you have any broken panels?” That…was not the question he expected. “...Wha-” “Do you have any broken panels?” They ask again, voice seeming to static and glitch at the edges. “O-of COURSE not! What kind of man would I be if I ALLOWED such a thing?” He huffed, crossing his arms.
“Do you have any cut wires?” “No.” “Do you have any fried circuses?” “No..” “Do you have a-” “NO. NO I HAVE NOTHING BROKEN OR FRIED IN ANY OF MY SYSTEMS! What is the point of these MEANINGLESS questions?!” Puzzles growled, now glaring down at the silhouette. “...Then there is nothing to be fixed. SImply put.” Again…Not the response he expected. Neither turned their gaze to look at the overpass. There was no point by now, both knew this. One knowing that there was no point in distracting themself by gazing out to the now all too familiar sight of the factory that was basically now etched into his very wires…And the other truly unreadable when it came to what they were thinking. A long beat of silence would pass between the two. The only sounds being the ambiance that came from the factory around them. Puzzles would be the one to break the silence once again, though the once enraged, confident, knowing tone he held before…would now turn that into a person that was truly questioning the other, a tone now asking the same question to seemingly two different people but directed at one.
“Aren’t YOU scared? If I ever find out who you ARE, things may not turn out well for you. The you in this world at least…”
It was now the silhouettes turn for silence as they now searched for the response they wanted to say, gazing over the overpass. The answer wasn't rushed but thought out, the words slowly and meticulously picked out in the attempt to convey their answer in the best way they can phrase it.
“ You are the ruler of an empire that will conquer the entirety of whatever you wish to take over. Be it the galaxy, milkyway, fourth dimension, next plane of existence. Whatever you set your sights on, you will work tirelessly until you reach it. I am not here to convince you to stop but neither am I here to praise you and tell you to keep going. I know what you plan to do and I know what you will do once you have it. The best I can tell you on why I am here is to give you reprieve. The more untouchable you become….the more you will be unable to touch.”
“ You will constantly have to wear the mask around all that surrounds you. Your followers, enemies, your fans…I am here so you can rest from it all.”  The silhouette returned its gaze to Puzzles, nonexistent eyes gazing into him. “So to answer your question, if I am scared, the answer would be no. I do not think I will be given special treatment if you ever chose to remember me. But I am not scared for the soul fact I can aid you in giving you a moment's break from the world. Simply because I can not be controlled by you, does not mean I am a fool to what you have done…nor does it mean I wish you ill intent. I am an ear for you to speak to…someone to critique your work with no bias. A separate party that cares not for the mask, secrets or lies..”
The edge of Puzzles vision slowly began to darken as the world faded. “ But to gather it all into simple phrasing…I like talking with you…not the mask.”
This…was different from all the previous dreamless sleeps Puzzles had…He didn't feel more rested or inspired or…anything like before. Instead of the usual feeling he would have before…He felt more so…Confused…why did he feel confused?
