Half N' Half Choco Cookie (Wastelands - Cacao Kingdom)

Despite his solitary life style, and lack of social interaction since The DFW, Half N' Half Choco Cookie is very aware that something is wrong.

Currently he's just putting up small traps around his tower in The Wastelands. Not much else he feels he can do.

Ruby Choco Cookie (On the run - Cacao Kingdom)

GTFO as soon as she realized something was off, very much hopes her Husband will... stop... all that. But for now she's on the journey back to her home village to hide away.

White Raisin Cookie (On the run - Vanilla Kingdom)

Absolutely inconsolable, running along with Strawberry Crepe. Threw her Cape clasp- that was designed after her fathers Soul Jam- Away.

Out of everyone, she hopes the most that everything goes back to normal.

She misses her parents.

Dragonbell Cookie (Beast-Yeast)

In a similar space as Half N' Half Choco, but far more aware of what exactly is happening.

Doesn't really care, so long as The Lady is safe (IE: Lunar Eclipse)

Incredibly stressed out, she would rather be anywhere else than The Dragons valley but can't leave its borders. Mostly just hoping Dragonberry doesn't turn her eyes onto her operation. Sent her best workers out of The Valley.

They would leave, but there's not really anywhere for them to go. Just try to stay out of the way

Ruby Choco's aloof and kooky Strawberry Cupcake's sweet and cutesy Chamomile's deep and brooding Ackee is brains and beauty

These ladies are part of Fructose High's literature club. As small as it is, these four are dedicated to make sure it's the best it can be! Psychological horror? We don't know her!

Ackee Fruit's ingredient comes from the fact it's poisonous if eaten incorrectly, but the actual edible parts are said to taste very sweet! Much like Monika herself.

Strawberry Cupcake's ingredient comes from Natsuki making cupcakes for the club. Chamomile's is the same but for tea.

And Ruby Choco's...eh, we just figured Ruby Chocolate was a good fit after seeing a Ruby Chocolate Cookie on Crumbl.

Lore

Ackee is an ex-student of the Parfaedia Institute. She transferred to Fructose High after realizing her true passion: Literature. She does still know some magic (basically Ackee’s equivalent to Monika’s game-altering abilities), she just doesn't use them as often as she used to.

Strawberry Cupcake is Strawberry Crepe's older sister.

Ackee is friends with Rose Water Cookie (Senpai/Kenji Sakubara). In fact it was thanks to her that Rose Water was able to start a Patisserie Academy's dance club.

Ruby flame and Dark Choco were woaming around the forest after Dark enchantress cookies attack.

Before cutscene.

Dark Choco took his son Ruby flame cookie towards his elder uncle Dark dragon cacao cookie. When they entered his empire and towards his palace and dorms guards told them that he's sparring with prince Dark shadow cookie. Enters the practice area.

"Ruby flame this is your grand uncle"

"HELLLO MR GRAND UNCLE DARK DRAGONN"

Dark dragons attention diverted towards the visitors and greeted them..

After...

Ruby flame and dark Choco met Dark shadow cookie on thier way.

"hands up whor you?

" Your uncle"

Dark shadow cookie also joined them but thanks to Dark shadow cookies good scensr of ass directions they came up to a palace known for Deaths play ground. Explored the whole area and now.

Seeing the photo of Starlit Choco Cookie and Dark Choco, Ruby couldn't hold his laughter.

But lonely Dark shadow was in sad missing his wife Glittering sun star cookie.

Wired noises came from door as big steps could be heard. Dark shadows senses predicted that something bad is coming.

Bang!

Death was here.

Ruby flame was about to scream but dark Choco hold it by putting hand.

Death woamed around for intruders and disappeared in shadows.

WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!

All thanks to ruby, a huge shadow towered over them, the trio looked up and.....it was death of course......

RUN!

One min later Ruby flame was screaming as well as Dark Choco. Dark shadow was left behind and they lost the path of two.

One hour later

They found out it was Dark dragon cacao cookie all the time.wait... he's death? You'll find out in next post. He was taking the three towards their kingdom and beat the ass of Dark enchantress cookie. Ruby was so excited that he talked all the way under the full moon. Dark dragon was getting pissed and he horrifingly asked to shut up. He looked so scary that made Dark shadow took step back, Dark Choco tremble and ruby flame to cry

I've already done a post on nut cookies, but I have yet to do a post on Chocolate Cookies

Cookie Biology 101: Chocolate

Chocolates are cookies who were baked with a high amount of chocolate in their dough.

The unique thing about chocolate is how many variations of it. At its core, chocolate is made from roasted and ground cocoa beans. These can create chocolate bars, chocolate syrup, flavoring, etc. Because of this, chocolate cookies can fall into many categories of biology. Let's use Crunchy Chip Cookie as an example. Crunchy Chip Cookie has both melted in his dough ad well as the chocolate chips (oreos). From just the chocolate alone, this puts him in the melted foods category as well as the neo-cookie category.

Despite mostly being dark, chocolate can also have different food dye added to it which effects the colors of a cookie. As another example, Pink Choco Cookie ID made from Ruby Chocolate, which makes her dough lighter.

Since most chocolate cookies are made from chocolate bars of hardened chocolate, I'm going to talk a but about those ones.

Despite chocolate bars being easily breakable for us, they're quite durable for cookies, and many even use it to make buildings or armor. Cookies who contain chocolate bars in their doughs are more durable, which makes them perfect warriors for the Dark Cacao Kingdom

Hollyberry x dark cacao fankid?

Fun fact: this ship is the second on my list. But anyways, here’s Ruby Choco Cookie

She’s named after ruby chocolate, which is this new kind of chocolate that apparently has a berry like taste? Also it’s pink, so like, it was the obvious pick. Also I think when I first came up with the name, I still had Ruby Cacao Cookie as a character, so you could factor that in too (context for people who don’t know: Ruby Cacao was an oc I made that’s Dark Cacao’s sister. She’s currently in limbo for whether I decide to keep her bc I rewrote his backstory again)

Ruby chocolate:

So I know I said before that I was going to give her frilly dresses, but I kind of just decided against that when actually making her today. I still gave her one to reference that, but I’m a little disappointed she doesn’t have that concept. Though I suppose it might make her look too similar to Kouign Amann, at least in concept

Like I said prior, I’m thinking that before when she was younger, she would wear fancy dresses all the time, even while out and about using her big sword. Her wardrobe probably consists of a mix of European dresses and Korean hanboks. In current day, for whatever reason she doesn’t wear them in favor of more traditional adventuring gear, but she does still have some and wears them from time to time

With her actual outfit, I may or may not have taken primary inspiration from Guts in Berserk (sorry I’ve been making Berserk like my new personality), which is mostly seen in her upper body, with the chest plate and shoulder pads (which may have been an unnecessary detail if I’m being honest), along with her bare arms and bandages (well I mean, Guts only has one hand bandaged, but he’s also missing an arm, so. Hmm, maybe I should make a fankid in the future that’s an amputee…). I think I was going to give her sleeves initially, but took them out for the Guts look. Though I think it works without them. I’d say Guts and some of Hollyberry’s alternate outfits were my main inspiration, along with a dash of Dark Cacao’s alternate cape (though I don’t think the fluffy bits look the best). I just wanted to add something from Dark Cacao

Oh and also obviously, I took inspiration from Guts’s sword, the Dragon Slayer. Listen, I had it in my notes that she has a “big ass sword”, and that was always going to stay, why not model her sword after the iconic oversized sword? Though I suppose the details did end up getting covered up by the rest of the outfit (though you can see it in the sketch, though it’s a bit too small). And I’m not entirely sure its relatively simple design really matches Hollyberry and Dark Cacao, but screw it

Her hair wasn’t originally going to be in a bun, it was going to be long (and I still want it that way), but with her sword and cape, I just didn’t have room to also give her flowing hair, so tied up it is. Also I made her streaks pink to look more like the color of actual ruby chocolate. Her main hair color being dark red was more a reference to Ruby Cacao

Also I think an original idea was to incorporate spades in her design? Since Hollyberry is has hearts and Dark Cacao has diamonds, and you could argue that Pure Vanilla’s kind of looks like clubs, so I thought why not complete the set here with spades? But I only remembered that info well into the sketch process, so I didn’t end up incorporating it. Ah well, maybe another time

If I’m being honest, I think she looks too Hollyberry and not enough Dark Cacao. But maybe that’s just because I used a lot of pink and red, since she’s ruby chocolate. But I don’t know if I dislike her design, I think it looks at least fine, if not good

Also, she was supposed to be somewhat chubby, or have some width to her, but I think that accidentally got lost in the finished product. Sorry

Anyways, how about we talk about her character?

To be honest, I really don’t have much. She’s a traveling adventurer, just going around fighting monsters. And while she generally is a pretty friendly person, she in truth prefers solitude, simply sitting in the night sky with nothing but her sword and her thoughts

She wasn’t always a traveling adventurer, instead staying at a palace (probably the Hollyberrian one), but at some point that attitude changed. I don’t know what caused that change, and whether or not it was tragic (Guts may have also influenced her personality/character in some way)

And other than one thing about her maybe meeting Kouign Amann in the past, that’s kind of all I have on her. And I gotta admit, that’s pretty disappointing for me

Like when it comes to these Ancient kids, I usually have an idea of their relationships with their parents or their half siblings, but here I got nothing. I don’t even know what her role as princess of either the Hollyberry Kingdom or Dark Cacao Kingdom means (and as far as ages go, the only thing I have is that she’s probably older than Dark Choco, though I don’t know about Royal Berry). She just kind of exists

I think I focused too much in her design aspect and didn’t think at all about her lore, which is honestly really disappointing on my end. And is she really even that good of a character? I dunno

*sigh* maybe some other time I’ll come up with a proper background for her and her relationship with her family (though right now I don’t really want to)

But yeah, that’s Ruby Choco I guess. Hope you like her!

Considering what happens in the story/lore of Cookie Run Kingdom

(Dark Cacao ousting his son, Affogato Cookie and the whole getting Carmel Arrow Cookie kicked out of the Kinddom, etc,)

How does that all transfer over to the Alternative Kingdom? Are there any grudges, resentment, etc?

Since the Cloned Cookies were made with soulstones instead of typical ingredients that make up the "true" cookies, the memories and personalities radiating from the soulstones pretty much carry over into the clone cookies.

Affogato doesn't like Caramel Arrow, Dark Cacao and Dark Choco have a complex relationship, Black Pearl and Ruby Coral have a tense relationship, and a whole bunch more...however, the Baker can change such things to make things different. Especially if you're a Baker who likes "happier" endings to certain things. For example, these emotions and such are only represented by what the cookie is displaying depending on the time period they are taking after. Default skins are pretty much considered "present day" versions of the cookies from the "real" world. However, if you change their "costumes" over to something they used to be, like turning Black Pearl into "Faded Radiance" or changing Dark Choco over into his "Vestments of Old Memories"(maybe even the "young prince" costume from Overbreak) can change their entire personalities into something happier or to give the clone cookie a reprieve from the grief/guilt/hatred that their "real" counterparts feel constantly. If these versions of the cloned cookies ever met their "real" sorrowful counterparts...it would be haunting for them to see such a "perfect" version of themselves walking about. A shadow of who they USED to be...which further complicates their understanding of Baker. How did the Baker know that they used to look like...that? Talk like that? BE like that?

So, I like to think that costumes are just "alternate timeline" versions of the cookies that exist in the "real" world. Changing the timeline can change how the other cookies present themselves to each other. Like Dark Cacao and Choco having a good relationship or Ruby Coral and White Pearl Cookie being able to make amends. It depends on the Baker and if you like the way things are. You can always change the clones for the better...or for the worst. It's honestly up to you on how they perceive each other. Yet, some issues will stay constant. Like Affogato and Caramel Arrow constantly disliking each other or vice versa with other cookies that have tension with each other.

Turns out I was SUPER DEPRESSED...
