I feel like every time I hear "Bells Hells broke their word", there's this omission or forgetfulness (and I get it; this campaign feels like it took forever and it's easy to tune out conversations that feel circular and unending) that Bells Hells knows that if the Raven Queen and the Arch Heart were forced to comply by the rest of their family, the Divine Gate would be rent asunder and there would be a second Calamity in order to wrench things back to the status quo – that being the gods are all safe and protected and no one knows about Predathos.

The only reason it didn't happen already was the gods had hope Bells Hells would kill Ludinus (which they did); if Ludinus had defeated Bells Hells then the Gods would have immediately busted down the Gate and commit another Calamity in order to stop him... but the Raven Queen and the Arch Heart made it sound like the Second Calamity would happen regardless of who won, and all because the knowledge of Predathos the GodEater, their most feared predator, was out there.

But, Ludinus disseminated that information across all of Exandria, and there's been information exchange between Ruidians and Exandrians. The only way to take that information back would be to kill all the Ruidians AND kill every single Exandrian, just to be sure. Wipe the slate clean. Start over. Destroy every magical and non-magical record, including the people.

There would be no bargaining with the gods without Predathos, for they are too strong and would have no reason to listen. Any parley of "can you Gods leave forever, or can we leave the Hallowed Cage alone or have Vasselheim turn Kreviris into a military-religious controlled state colony" (that's a Bad Thing) would be met with "or we just kill the entire planet and moon so the information is guaranteed to be lost and there can be no more attempts at freeing Predathos". The Prime Dieties would grumble about it, but they would still go through with eradicating the mortals they love because they prioritize themselves and their Betrayer siblings more than mortals. We have proof of that.

I feel like the Gods broke the social contract first. If we want to point fingers at someone breaking their word, they should be included as well.

I like when the Doctor does horrible things

I like to see the companion's face when they realise that they're amazing, whimsical, fantastic new best friend has killed more people than they will ever meet

I like the way they stare. I like the horror and the confusion. I like the "this isn't who you are!" and I like the sad look the Doctor gives them because this is exactly who he is. this is who he's been for a very, very long time.

and I like when the Doctor listens. when the Doctor stops and does something else and chooses mercy, even if it is not a mercy anyone else would recognise. I like when the Doctor says "maybe this isn't who I have to be"

and I like the after. I like the companion standing next to the Doctor, and understanding for the first time that he is drenched in blood. that he is the monster people (not humans, never humans, but many others) warn their children about at night. that his name strikes fear into the hearts of dictators and warriors and murderers. that he is an extinction event.

I like when the companion realises exactly who they're travelling with. and I like when they travel with him anyway. and I like when someone who could have been a companion leaves because they cannot see it again

I like when the Doctor carries so much power the stars seem to quake in fear. that his name (or title or epithet) holds so much authority that, once said, nothing said previously matters. I like when he is a monster and I like when the companion first sees it and how nothing is the same after

and I am convinced that if the 13th and 15th doctors had been white men, they would've gotten one of these moments

「🕸️The Radio Demon...An infamous name known among the demon's residing in the Pride Ring. For all he knew, the name carried itself among the other rings of hell. Being a guest on one of his broadcasts was far from an honor unless you craved the sadistic freak making an example of you. When it was revealed this guy was the sole reason fore the disappearance of various Overlords, his grandfather made him a priority. Who exactly was the Radio Demon? Did he have any weaknesses beneath that seemingly thick skin? Could they be rid of him? Or possibly persuade him to form some sort of alliance with their family? And the one responsible for finding answers to these questions was none other than Angel himself. Fuck, he swore if he heard the old bastard call him Anthony one more time...

Since his grandfather's death, apparently the old man sought out any of their family that descended the soil to rebuild his empire in this new land. A deal was struck with Carmilla in order to supply their family with sufficient weaponry. And by the time Angel arrived, his grandfather had already accumulated contracts with various demons. Half their goons were those sorry down on their luck dumbasses that were willing to sell their soul. All they became were pawns for an Overlord's benefit. And now the old man was terrified this so called ' Overlord Slayer ' was gonna make him his next victim. Angel kept it secret how delightful that outcome could be to avoid any repercussions of the verbal or physical kind. So maybe spying on this guy would actually be beneficial to himself. It meant venturing outside the estate into the flames of the city that had screams resonating left and right, but it still meant being away from the family that had made him feel depressed.

Mafia attire hardly made sufficient camouflage. In order to blend in better with the public he found an old pair of jeans ( which he loathed ) and a sweater. None of this was his style, but his comforts hardly mattered when it came to accomplishing his mission. A few necessities were tucked away in his pockets, as well as a tiny notebook and pen for surveilling. Anything and everything this demon did would be recorded with dates and timestamps. Maybe this actually wouldn't be all that difficult. Maybe for once he would return to the estate and be complimented on successfully proving his worth. Fingers firmly, absentmindedly, grip the fabric of his sweater as he softly smiles at the potential, but it quickly subsides as he makes his way into the heat of the outdoors.

Sometimes he missed the night sky and the cool breeze that gently kissed your cheeks. A beautiful sight he had taken for granted years ago. One he would give anything to see once more if given the chance. But his focus had to remain on his mission: find the guy, record what he did, and report back until his grandfather was satisfied with his findings. But where would he actually find him? If he went directly to his broadcasting place, if he even knew where it was, then it would easily give him away. He'd likely be questioned and, yeah, he was a good bullshitter, but it meant the demon would see his face and possibly remember it.

The spider wandered along the streets, only halting his search to grab a bite to eat. The search commenced shortly afterwards. Hours passed and his feet were starting to ache. Shit, why was this so hard? Did he need to go somewhere else? But where? At this rate he'd be venturing all over Pride just to find ONE GUY! But, wait...was that? The Radio Demon had ears like that, yes? And he carried a staff about, right? His eyes lit up as he believed he had found his target. But now wasn't the time to celebrate. He acquired his pad and pen and kept a bit of distance from the man.

This was the first time in years his grandfather trusted him with something of such importance. He could have sent Arakniss to play detective, yet he specifically said he wanted him. Was this, perhaps, a test? He could ponder the options all day and still never understand why he was chosen. Even though a tiny voice in the back of his mind wandered if it was because compared top his brother he was disposable if the demon decided to broadcast his screams. All he knew was that he couldn't fuck this up. He flipped the cover of the pad and jotted down the time and date of discovery. 」

I truly apologise but I've never found a character more irritating than Ruby Rocks. It is severely impacting my ability to watch a crown of candy because this bratty literally-the-embodiment-of-the-status-quo bitter bastard child won't stop sulking and being shitty to the only good surviving member of this royal bloodline (Saccharina).

The immediate Rocks family in general is so unsympathetic, I'm sorry but if you want me to feel bad over your personal growth journey you can't ALSO be a monarch who has absolute power over an entire nation-state. If you had literally the best education of everyone in your country and you're still an idiot I don't know what to tell you except that you're a resource hoarding pig who has not earned an iota of the power or luxury you have. They have SERVANTS and all they do is complain about going to class or doing their job. Hey if it sucks so bad demolish the state and redistribute your wealth <3 you won't <3
