Could always wait for the "lite" version of the Switch 2 to release if you don't really care about the joycons, iirc the Switch lite is like 200 bucks less than the regular switch so if they go for the same tactic it should be worth it

For real though, the issue for me is less the joy-con and more not being able to play docked mode. The first chunk of time I had my Switch 1 I mostly played handheld, but the last few years I started playing on my monitor a lot more and I do prefer playing that way for bigger releases. My plan was to maybe wait and see if I can eventually get one used/refurbished, but who knows how long it'll be before those start to come onto the market :/

OK, prediction/hope based on this is that we'll get a trailer/teaser at one of the events VIZ is panelling at this summer, and with it we'll get a proper look at these new outfits. Then the bluray art cards can reveal a version of this artwork with the heavy silhouetting removed and the outfits visible, and then once all the blurays are released, that's when V10 will premiere (please?)

Something to remember is that while RWBY Chibi isn't canon, some elements have been canonized later on in it, making them actually canon. (cf Penny's x-ray vision for example). So that RWBY Chibi date where Penny and Ruby hang out with fireflies? That episode where they had a planned date at the pool but they miss each other by a few seconds before causing Chaos? They could be canon for all we know

hc that ruby didn’t piece together what penny hiccuping meant (prolly thought it was cuz of stress or smth, considering the times she hiccups earlier in the show), until she’s in the dumpster seeing penny hiccup when lying to the guard, and the soft look she gives penny is her just melting cuz of how cute that is </3

anyways, do you think penny and ruby hung out together during seasons two and three? cuz based on on-screen interactions, they honestly didn’t spend a lot of time together at all, but yet one of the writers (think it was kerry?) mention in that one volume 3 extras clip that penny is someone ruby really loves. And we also see that losing her has really affected ruby a lot, especially cuz she’s the only one of rwbyjnor who actually was friends with her (she and jaune can talk about pyrrha with each other and everyone else, but no one can really talk about penny with her)

That's a cute idea about the hiccups! Definitely makes some sense too considering the context of that scene and that Ruby didn't know about Penny's secret yet

As for whether they had more scenes together off-screen, it's really hard to say. You're right that they really don't spend that much time together, especially when you look at it next to how deeply affected Ruby was after the fall of Beacon. On the other hand though, considering Penny was banned from seeing her friends after Volume 1, it's hard to imagine they would have had much opportunity to hang out more off-screen. Though Penny doesn't seem to be as worried about talking to Ruby in public (and particularly in front of Ciel) after her tournament fight in V3, so maybe those restrictions were loosened at some point that we didn't see?

The official YouTube channel continuing the trend of launching me back into the revival theories by reminding me that V9 started with Penny's disembodied voice crying out to Ruby after her death like. How else do you expect me to interpret that lmao

The official rwby YouTube channel posted a short of this scene and made me think of all the parallels between Penny and Little again and istg they have to be going somewhere, there are just too many of them

Either the theories that Little/Somewhat is an ascended form of Penny will still turn out to be true, or at least they're meant to serve as a narrative reflection of Penny, and the fact that they were killed, sending Ruby over the edge into drinking the tea, but then coming back is an indication of Penny's upcoming story
