Satan and the twins had some trouble with their gift for you. They said they wanted to do it themselves, without dad, because it would be a surprise for both of you. Of course, he agreed, but he still ordered the nobles to keep an eye on them. First they went to Sitri and wanted to paint the cups, but they broke them. Then they approached Paimon to make you your own stickers, but after half an hour, glitter was everywhere. Before they accosted anyone else, Astaroth intervened. He took them to the meadow (so they could run around and shake off some glitter) and only when they got tired did he start telling them about how their father was a child, when they were picking wild flowers for bouquets for you.

Satan himself will give you a box of mint-blueberry chocolates, which you regularly carved at 3 a.m. during your pregnancy, and a smirk with the words "I'm ready for round two." Of course, he pissed you off with that. And since he also brought good wine, get ready for the next five rounds.

Mammon and your little gang will present you with a whole collection of jewelry. You expected them to be pasta necklaces and modeling clay earrings, but of course you underestimated them. Pearl necklace, ruby bracelets, cufflinks with gold beads. Of course, they are made a bit crooked and clumsy, the younger the child the more so, but you and Mammon look like the proudest parents in the world. This is the only jewelry you want to wear.

From the king you will receive a beautiful silk set (actually five sets, each matching one piece of jewelry you received), underwear and a long dressing gown, (and a matching dress, shoes and even a handbag), which you will have to try out together.

Beelzebub loves scribbles, and so does his little girl! The card you will receive will be the messiest, most colorful conglomeration of colored tissue paper, photos and ribbons you could ever imagine. Beel made sure that there was no shortage of materials, so in one place you have shells from the Caribbean, a heart made of Chinese silk and amber with a fossil (where did they get it from? Did he really take your daughter for a walk around the world? You don't ask, you don't want to know the answer).

Beel will give you markers with edible icing. He had a great time with the little one, but now it's time for mommy to show off her artistic talent. Preferably on his body. You can trace his tattoos with a marker, or maybe write something new. He's ready to be your canvas all night long.

Your daughter has Leviathan’s perfectionism, but in a specific version that when daddy likes something, it means it's already perfect. Usually. Sometimes she says daddy has no taste, and that's the sassy part she inherited from you. She would spend a good week sitting in her father's office and embroidering a pillow as a gift for you, with small flowers, because she doesn't know anything else yet. Levi makes sure she doesn't gouge out her eye with the needle, and every time the needle almost pierces her finger, the thread pulls it back. He usually doesn't worry about it, let the child learn. This time he would prefer there was no blood on the embroidery because the gift for you has to be more perfect than anything else.

Leviathan will give you a choker, also embroidered, but with black thread on black material. You can read it only by touch. What does it say? Only you two know. It's so adjustable that it's perfect for both wearing and choking.

assuming everyone in the tpiag cast could and would want to mega evolve (even if they don’t normally have a mega, such as Ark, Dusknoir, Opal, Celebi, etc), where and how would they wear their mega stones?

Twig's mega stone (technically fragments of a mega stone— she was injured in an area rich with charizardite-y, and pieces of them embedded themselves in her wound when she hit a cavern wall) would be beneath the skin of her back, between her shoulder blades. She'd be in a state of constant mega-evolution.

Kip would keep his in a lockbox at Sharpedo Bluff, and wouldn't remove it to use unless he knew he was going into dangerous territory. When wearing it, he'd do so as a bracelet.

Spindle would probably bury his mega stone somewhere remote— he'd be terrified of someone stealing it. When using it, he'd cling to it fearfully and keep it loose in a glorified fanny pack when carrying it around.

Ruby would wear hers as a bead on her Guild uniform kerchief that she ties around the hair puff atop her head.

Opal would carry hers as a keychain attached to a small satchel she takes everywhere she goes.

Sen would wear multiple fragments of mega stones tied to the spines on her wings. Sigilyph mega stones would be hypothetically very rare, and few intact specimens have survived, so she'd make do with multiple shards that she wears in unison. They'd make wind chime-like sounds as she moves. She claims this is a nuisance and a strategic detriment, but she secretly likes it.

Lucky would keep hers in a small velvet-lined chest at Sharpedo Bluff alongside her mask. She's not much of a fighter, but she still values it deeply, and is afraid of someone stealing it like Spindle is— though she's had her mask stolen many times over already. When wearing it, she'd tie it to her tail and hold it protectively during use.

Calypso would tie hers to her club, turning it into an even more effective weapon even when she's not mega-evolved. She can beat you and whip you now. I think she'd be hesitant to try mega-evolution, but after evolving, she'd be willing to try out using kangaskhanite instead of marowakite, and would keep it in her pouch. Her daughter really loves training with her and is always pestering her to mega-evolve.

Gengar would wear his as an earring.

Torrent would have a mega stone that replaces a tooth he lost— think of a gold tooth, but infinitely more intimidating.

Ark, in a world where he wouldn't be extremely reluctant to even look at a mega stone for his species, would wear a mega stone as a pendant tied to a sash around his waist.

Celebi would wear her mega stone in an arm band just under her shoulder.

Dusknoir would wear his as a clasp for a cloak he'd start wearing. @fujii-draws's design for Dusknoir has its hooks in me and it won't let go.

Grovyle would stitch a fragment of a mega stone into the hem of a sentimental kerchief he wears. Anything larger could do serious damage to his existing old injuries.

Manaphy would wear his as a necklace on a too-long chain that drags around when he walks on land.

Cresselia would wear hers in a choker-style necklace-like accessory that connects to dainty chains in an elaborate headdress. She'd wear it alongside a fancy veil and cloak. Try as she might, she can't quite shake her vanity all the way, and likes to show off when she can.

"The coach swayed and wobbled as they passed by the High Hall, magnificent in the red hues of the sunset. 

“They worked hard to renovate the Ducal Palace, don’t you think ?” Damian said, sitting in front of her in his glorious silver embroidered doublet, “I still remember how utterly miserable it looked after the battle against the Absolute.”

Selene did not answer, silently staring at the mask on her lap, the one Astarion had made for her along with her dress. It was a gold and red columbina, the same colours as the choker around her neck, a thin golden chain on which dangled a ruby stone and a few pearls. 

Her fingers followed the intricate designs it was ornamented with. The forehead was the most mesmerising part. One big scarlet cristal shimmered right between the eyes, surrounded by countless red glass beads of all sizes and shapes. In the dancing lights of the city's lanterns, filtering through the carriage’s door, such an arrangement of gems looked like a crown of blood, falling low over the brow in elven fashion. The reddest of velvet covered the bridge of the nose before leaving place to long and featherlike golden ornaments near the temples and the cheeks.

“Will you keep punishing me like this ? Giving me the cold shoulder and ignoring me ?” he continued, “I already apologised for what happened a few days ago.” 

“I am not punishing you. I simply have no desire to talk to you.” "

🍎 Evonie's Apple Tea Dress

This dress appears to consists of two layers, the first layer being a pale yellow dress with a waterfall hemline and lace cuffs layered underneath a red and blue dress with puff sleeves, yellow braid cuffs, and beige lines dividing the colors.

A blue choker with gold trim, pale yellow lace and the brooch are also present.

👠 Ella's White Tea Dress

This gorgeous white dress with gold trim was likely designed and made by Ella herself. The dress features a semi off shoulder bodice and the neckline is decorated with gold and white ribbons with light blue roses in the center. The puff sleeves of the dress even have pearl strand decorations. The dress's skirt has a pair of vertical pearl strands attached to white and gold ribbons with a trio of light blue roses which are in turn attached to pale blue ribbon. The bottom of the skirt is decorated with pale white lace with blue ruffle fabric on top.

The only accessory included is the pale blue ribbon collar.

🐰 Allison's Macron Tea Costume

Due to Allison's dislike for extremely fancy dresses, she would much rather wear this ensemble, which consists of a pale blue blouse with gold buttons, blue and gold cuffs with blue ribbon, and gold epaulettes that are attached to gold chains that have card suit charms on them. The puff pants are pale blue and blue in color and are divided by thin gold lines and also have gold braid straps at the bottom.

The only accessories included is a gemstone clock brooch which is gold in color and has crown and rose decorations, as well as a blue ribbon tied at the collar.

🌹 Briar's Rose Tea Dress

This gold trimmed dress is pale pink in color and has a mauve rose print in the center which is divided by thin gold stands. The bodice has a gold chest plate with lace on the top and bottom, a pair of light blue gem brooches and a strand of pearls protruding from the bottom of the chest piece. The bodice's puff sleeves are mauve in color and have gold braids as well as pale pink lace. The dress's skirt has four pearl strands.

The accessories include a pearl necklace with a light blue gem brooch and a gold belt with a diamond decoration.

🐠 Cerule's Butterfly/Sea Flower Tea Dress

This lavender ensemble includes a v-neck wrap bodice with pale ruffle sleeves. The dress' skirt appears to be made up of three layers with the first layer being a portion of the bodice, the second layer is comprised of several pale lavender ruffles and the third layer is a lavender underskirt.

The accessories include a lavender ruffle collar with white pearl beads, a purple gem brooch and a belt of white pearl strands attached to a pale lavender ruffle bow and the bow has a yellow charm in the center of it with what appears to be three stars alongside a venus comb shell.

📚 Rozeline's Black Tea Dress

This dress features a white top with lace trim and sleeves underneath a black formal blazer with gold trim, red gems near the shoulders and gold trim ruffle cuffs with ruby red roses on them. The dress' skirt is divided into two parts via gold trimmed fabric that is yellow in color and features various red roses and vines. The outer part has gold trim while the outer part has a gold trimmed part with lace on the top and bottom that is yellow and features red roses and green leaves.

The only accessory included is a gold elegant necklace with red roses and a red gem brooch.

🏝 Vidya's Masala Chai Tea Dress

This outfit consists of a light blue gold trimmed top with transparent pale blue sleeves that have floral print with gold cuffs that have green jewels. The bottom half of the outfit consists of a pale blue overskirt layered over a transparent pair of harem pants with gold cuffs that have green jewels.

The accessories include a blue sari with gold trim and lace, a gold collar, a gold necklace with a green gem and a blue necklace with green jewels and a gold outline. An additional accessory featured is a gold belt with green jewels and a green beetle brooch.

🐲 Jinlong's Matcha Tea Dress

This turtleneck dress is mostly navy blue in color with circular print and has chartreuse details throughout. Underneath the dress is a white one.

The only accessory included is a necklace of green pearls.

Duchess Sally wears a lot of black beads (pearls?) in her art, is that one of the stones associated with L’manburg? Like how emeralds are for A.E?

That would be correct!

In chapter 3, Liquid courage, I had a few paragraphs how some gems show ones association with a faction or a country. Emeralds strictly belong to the imperial family for example, imperial faction wears sapphires and noble faction wears rubies, etc.

Due to their history and revolutionise tendencies Lmanburg has *small* overlap with other country jewels but not much!

Lmanburg national jewels and stones are obsidian, black opal, pierun (funky amber looking stones that are created when a lighting strikes sand), agates and yes, black pearls!

In some of my other art that I have and have not shown, I usually also give Wilbur a small choker with a black gem for that reason :3

Personality:Character Example-- Lumine/Traveller---

Lilliana's personality can range from stoic, humble and helpful to boastful, lazy and short tempered. She is also pointedly uninterested in getting involved with the issues caused at gatherings or any parties and the troubles caused by other nobles as well as most of the problems in the dukedom and only concerns herself with dealing with matters such as getting out of the empire and divorcing her fiance so she wouldn't die. She gets visibly frustrated not wanting to meddle with both the affairs of other people sometimes or anyone even with a simple task like taking one letter from one person in a social gathering to someone in the nobility hierarchy.

Yet despite the hesitation to get involved with either of them she is ultimately a compassionate person. Due to her experience with past troubles and other situations that she needs to get involved in she immediately puts her guard up at the mention of something to do with either one of them. Lilliana also shows significant concern for Pollux and some of the others like Arcky as her initial goal to leave the empire after a week of marrying the duke was scrapped and had changed to looking through any documents of information or and social gatherings so she could understand what she would have to do in order for her to actually successfully leave the empire.

However sometimes she can be stoic and reaction-less in certain situations but other times she's cheerful, yet she always makes small but visible warnings on first time meetings with people to not anger her otherwise she might hit them, either way she wouldn't care if something happened to them(unless they were close friends but wouldn't care if it was someone else that she hates either way).

Appearance: She has long white hair that stops at the middle of her thighs while she had two pieces of hair that reached the middle of her waist and an uneven fringe, she has bright ruby red eye with small snowflakes around the pupil, She wore a cream-coloured dress with deep-pale green accents, the dress reached all the way down to the floor with dark grey embroidery around the bottom then deep pale green ruffles at the bottom, the top of the dress went across her chest with a small ruffled layer revealing the strat of her clevage as well as her collar bones, the sleeves of teh dress were the same green colour with a darker green pattern ontop, they puffed out a bit near the the top of the dress before going thin and covering a bit of her hand with a darker green lace around the cuffs.

The middle of the top on the dress was a very pale dark green with a light coloured pattern on top while above that was a dark green bow with a red broach surrounded by a gold backing while there were a couple of decorative beads in the same colour as the bow at the top of her dress, she wore a dark green ribbon choker on her neck and a necklace stopping around the base of her neck while she wore white earrings, her hair was left down and the two strands from the front were tied in the back with a deep-pale green ribbon while on her feet were heels in the same color with a small cream bow at the back.

Hidden under all of her clothes she has five hidden scars one on her upper left arm, one of her inner left wrist, one on her outer left wrist, one on the back of her neck and one on her spine towards the centre, a long scar that reached the middle of her upper arm, a long one that reached halfway of her neck and a long one that looked like a huge chunk of a broken mirror on her lower back.

Notes: Yes, I will admit. I took inspiration from the costumes in Labyrinth. Yes, this fic is intended as my way of getting back at @plethora-of-imagines​ for her fic winters ball. Yes, that line has stayed with me since. Yes, she in fact knows this and teases me eternally.

Warnings: None

The grand ballroom roared with the distinct screech of life, bellowing from the top levels of the balconies to the far corners of the dance floor. Revellers fraternized under the facade of their masks and makeup, scandalized whispers under the sickly kiss of alcohol, free of their worldly restraints as they dived head first into the bliss of anonymity. The hall deserved its title of grand- the chandelier lit by what seemed a million candles, flickering and licking at the ceiling mural. The paintings across the roof were alive, at least they seemed so, the pictures moving and swaying: A boat upon a stormy sea, a man falling to temptation among a nest of sinful temptresses, a ritual sacrifice, a chalice spilling its wine. Nobody in the room was there with the heart of a Saint. 

This dance was for the sinners. A costume ball for the filthy, wicked underbelly of the universe.

A silver platter of wine was offered before you, and you accepted the glass. You took a sip as you made your way across the marble floor, the wine hot and burning on your tongue, aroma snaking up your nostrils. This certainly didn’t come from any earthy vineyard, the stem of the glass carved and blown into skeletal form.

You daren’t spill a drop, not in the dress you’d chosen tonight. A white bodice beaded with a thousand shimmering jewels, a plunging neckline that left room for the decadent choker- a rainstorm of pearls mottled by the drip of red rubies. The sleeves extended to a point, the lace stained with a black that crept its way down towards your fingers, the same darkness casting a shadow beneath the mountain of tulle in your jeweled skirt, the inky black at the hem of your dress stoned with the shapes of a blossoming galaxy. The mask you wore upon your face mimicked the gradient of black, the bat wing shape extending back into an elegantly dangerous point. You were innocence tainted by your feast of forbidden fruit, the red wine upon your lips matching the deep port of your lipstick. Tonight, you wore your soul on your sleeve.

An elegant hand extended around your middle, delicate fingers reaching to take the glass from your clutches. You felt a presence behind you, a comforting warmth nestling against your neck, placing a kiss to the slip of skin above your pearl collar. Your other hand reached towards the thieving arm, running your fingertips up the black frill of the sleeve, walking your fingers inch by inch up the black gemstones upon rich, otherworldly velvet. 

You sunk into the figure behind you, head leaning against a sturdy shoulder, the hand that had been freed from the clutches of the class reaching up to caress the jaw of your partner. The security of an arm surrounding your waist, and the heat of the wine on your tongue. 

“Master,” You hummed, a playful smile upon your lips. “I hope you aren’t intending to keep me from my wine.”

“My darling one, I know by now that to keep you from what you desire is a fool's errand.” He purred in reply, bringing the glass towards your lips and softly tilting the glass. You took another sip, a small line of crimson escaping from the corner of your lip. The Master's thumb quickly stole the renegade droplets away, your lips pressing against the velvet touch of his fingertip.

“I never wish to keep you from what you want, save to help you achieve what you truly desire.”

“Then join me on the dance floor, my love” You replied, fingers trailing across his jaw to scratch at the edge of his beard. You heard him sigh, causing you to press your back further against his torso. 

“After all, this is a ball. One intended for dancing.”

The Master grinned, the spit of the devil's image, surrendering your drink to the closest surface as he guided you towards the dancefloor, the orchestra swelling into a dark waltz. The Master's mask curved against his cheekbones, embossed with a rich damask pattern that ran throughout his ensemble. You could see the shimmer of his eyes, the golden flecks that still remained, the way they watched you intently as you poised yourself into position. His padded shoulders pushed back, one arm bent and the other outstretched, you felt the hypnotic pull of his touch as you began to move across the floor. Across the floor you glided like phantoms, the perilous tune of the band drifting through the hall as others joined the dance.

 The room, the other partygoers, all faded to nothing as you set your eyes upon the Master. You felt yourself drift within a mystic haze, putting ultimate trust within your feet and the Timelords touch. Your skirt flourished like a looming storm cloud, the fanged nature of the Master’s grin illustrating the most wonderful story against your bleeding jewels, your wickedest fantasies singing to the sight of your bodies tethered together.

The Master twirled you as you soared above the malevolent melody, passion in your chest and a warmth across your skin. His hand pulled you to linger against his chest, his jet black ruffle collar laced with his most intoxicating cologne. Every part of him screamed of danger, a cry you ignored with abundance as you allowed your lips to press against the corner of his mouth.

“I could stay like this forever if time allowed.” You spoke into the material, eyes meeting his own. 

“You are adhered to no man's rules, my dear.  Especially not to Time’s. You no longer have any authority to serve.” The Master replied, your bodies held together beneath the grand chandelier. You smiled at the sentiment, shaking your head.

“In fact I do.” You teased, softly grasping his chin between your thumb and forefinger. You pulled his face to meet your own, your noses touching- his breath hot against your skin, eyes burning into your own. No mask could hide him, no mystery around him too sweet to leave unsolved. In that mask, you saw the man you loved as clear as day. 

“I have my Master's.” You declared, the pair of you following the hypnotic rhythm of your hearts deep into the night.
