Tagged by @mithrandirl to show some before and afters on coloring and sharpening. Thank you for tagging me <3 I love posting these things, they actually show how much work you do to create something, it's not just cut out a scene from a show and it suddenly becomes a perfect gif, you actually have to do so much to make it look nice. Lately I experiment a lot with sharpening, and I realized I do not have specific settings for it now, I just go and use whatever I think suits my gif atm. Same goes for colorings, I prefer to create a coloring from a scratch for each gif, that way you don't have to fix whatever went wrong when you just used psd on a different scene :D
Tagging @thyla , @leqnardmccoy , @dearemma , @villainelle and whoever wants to do it, it's fine if you don't, have fun <3

Me: I love it when magic systems are super detailed and kind of fucked up.
My magic system: There's... magic. Some people can use it some people can't. There's like. Different kinds? And it turns your skin weird colors. There's a dude that doesn't like that, he's the bad guy.

Hey Californians! This bill is due to be voted on this year, and health insurance corporations and other such interests are going to fight it BIG TIME. I expect many, many, many misleading ads about it. Probably the kind of ads where they say it will make costs go up. That's corporations favorite lie. Their go-to, if you will.
HOWEVER, this is a bill to protect the health care and rights of patients to be treated promptly according to what they and their doctor require, not what an insurance company says.
Things included in this bill:
SB 351 by Senator Christopher Cabaldon (SD 3): Private equity firms are gaining influence in our health care system, leading to rising costs and undermining the quality of care. SB 351 empowers the Attorney General to hold private equity groups accountable for interfering with the practice of medicine, allowing the Attorney General to investigate and take action against private equity firms that unlawfully interfere in the patient-physician relationship. The goal is to restore trust in the health care system, ensuring that medical decisions are made in the best interest of patients, not financial shareholders.
AB 489 by Assemblymember Mia Bonta (AD 18): While AI can be a useful tool in health care, it should not replace physician decision making. This bill would ban companies from marketing artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots as licensed medical professionals.
SB 32 by Senator Akilah Weber Pierson (SD 39): California is facing a maternity care crisis, with at least 56 hospitals shutting down or suspending labor and delivery services since 2012. This bill would enhance access to maternity care services by requiring the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), the Department of Manage Health Care (DMHC), and the California Department of Insurance (CDI) to establish time and distance standards for perinatal units in collaboration with stakeholders.
AB 967 by Assemblymember Avelino Valencia (AD 68): California is facing a physician shortage, leaving millions of residents waiting weeks and months to get critical care. This bill will streamline the process for licensing out-of-state physicians looking to practice in California.
Additionally, CMA is sponsoring a bill package entitled “Prioritizing Patients, Empowering Physicians” to cut bureaucracy in the health system that harms patients and delays the ability to provide care. The red tape, called prior authorization, has been shown to unnecessarily delay care and lead to serious adverse events such as hospitalizations, permanent bodily damage and even death. The Prioritizing Patients, Empowering Physicians package includes:
AB 510 by Assemblymember Dawn Addis (AD 30): Requires that appeals of prior authorization denials be performed by a provider of the same or similar specialty. This will help ensure that providers can discuss prior authorization denials with a professional peer who understands the recommended treatment and underlying condition.
AB 539 by Assemblymember Pilar Schiavo (AD 40): Extends the validity of an approved prior authorization to one year (current industry standard is 60 to 90 days). This will provide patients with a longer window of time to receive medically necessary care and avoid the cumbersome prior authorization review and appeal processes.
AB 512 by Assemblymember John Harabedian (AD 41): Requires health plans to respond to urgent prior authorization requests within 24 hours and respond to nonurgent requests within 48 hours. Currently, health plans have 72 hours for urgent requests and five days for nonurgent requests. This change will ensure more patients can receive care or appeal denials in a timely fashion.
SB 306 Senator Josh Becker (SD 13): Requires health plans to remove the requirement for prior authorization from any service that they approve more than 90% of the time. This will reduce the overall volume of prior authorization requests and ensure that patients can receive the care they need with minimal delay and physicians can spend more time focusing on patient care.
So, I need to share this and keep sharing it, and I would love it if everyone started bringing this up to their possibly confused relatives and coworkers *now*. Waaaay ahead of the ads that are going to start airing. We are going to educate and inoculate people before they ever get to see those ads.
And yes, also mention that the health insurance companies are going to create orgs without their names on them to pay for those ads. When you see a political ad and it says "paid for by" at the bottom... those organizations are usually just fronts for corporations or special interest groups. And they LIE to save themselves money.
We are beating them to the punch by spreading the truth first.

⚕️ Gallifreyan Basic Life Support: CPR
Most Gallifreyans have two hearts, so they need a slightly different CPR approach than humans. Here's how to do effective CPR on a Gallifreyan in cardiac arrest.
Tumblr media
BIGGER - Google Drive: PDF / Image JPG / Image PNG
This guide is for use on Gallifreyans and Time Lords only. Always seek your human advice from human health providers.
✨ What is Basic Life Support?
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Gallifreyans involves maintaining airway, breathing, and circulation in a patient experiencing cardiac arrest. Due to their unique physiology—including dual hearts with a natural delayed rhythm (thud-thud...thud-thud, not together)—Gallifreyans require a different approach than humans.
This guide focuses on techniques tailored to Gallifreyan physiology, including both standard and enhanced methods of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and how to adjust care depending on your resources.
🚩Why Are There Two Versions?
There are two established CPR strategies for Gallifreyans:
D-CPR (Dual CPR) is the original standard, widely accepted and effective.
SD-CPR (Sequential Dual CPR) is a proposed improvement that more accurately aligns with the natural delay in Gallifreyan cardiac rhythm, reducing the risk of arrhythmias and improving circulation.
Both methods are valid; SD-CPR offers a more refined, physiology-aligned approach, especially when two rescuers are available, but for those not confident or on their own, D-CPR is an effective alternative.
⚠️ Pre-CPR Checks
Before initiating CPR, complete the following:
Secure the Scene: Ensure safety from environmental hazards (e.g. Daleks, electrical risks).
Initial Response: Tap the shoulder and ask, "Can you hear me? How are you feeling?"
Check for Help: Recruit bystanders, preferably those with alien medical knowledge. Direct others to clear the area or contact specialist aid.
Assess for Cardiac Arrest: ⤷ Check both hearts: Place hands on either side of the chest. ⤷ Listen and feel for normal breathing. ⤷ If both hearts are still and the patient is not breathing, begin CPR immediately.
💓 Dual Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (D-CPR)
The standard method for Gallifreyan CPR.
Single Rescuer:
Perform 5 compressions over the right heart (patient's right side). Depth: 5–6 cm.
Switch to 5 compressions over the left heart.
Give 2 rescue breaths.
Repeat cycle: 5 right, 5 left, 2 breaths.
Continue until signs of life or help arrives.
Two Rescuers:
Rescuer 1: 5 compressions on right heart.
Rescuer 2: 5 compressions on left heart.
Administer 2 rescue breaths after the full cycle.
Continue rotating if fatigued.
⚖️ Sequential Dual CPR (SD-CPR)
A proposed improvement on D-CPR, aligning compressions with the natural delayed rhythm of Gallifreyan hearts.
Single Rescuer:
Straddle the chest or kneel beside.
Perform 2 compressions on the patient's right heart, immediately followed by 2 on the left, maintaining the natural delay.
Continue alternating compressions to a depth of 5–6 cm.
After 20 total compressions (10 each), give 2 rescue breaths.
Two Rescuers:
Rescuer 1: Compresses right heart 2 times.
Rescuer 2: Begins left-heart compressions half a second later, 2 times.
Continue this staggered rhythm for 10 compressions per heart.
Administer 2 rescue breaths.
Notes:
Timing matters more than force: use appropriate pressure and timing.
SD-CPR is best with two trained rescuers.
💥 Sequential Precordial Thump (SPT)
Use when only one heart has stopped.
Identify the functioning heart's rhythm.
Deliver a firm, sharp thump over the non-functioning heart, timed immediately after the beat of the working heart.
Follow with a back thump directly aligned with the heart from behind.
Use only up to five times to avoid injury.
👶 Paediatric Notes
Use 2 fingers for compressions on each heart in infants.
For bigger children, use one hand per heart.
Be aware Gallifreyan children may only have one heart.
🔍 Continuous Monitoring
During CPR:
Monitor for recovery signs in either heart.
If one heart restarts, but the other doesn't, apply a Sequential Precordial Thump.
Watch for synchronous rhythms.
Switch rescuers if fatigued.
📉 Post-Resuscitation Care
Once both hearts are functioning:
Perform a GASS assessment.
Consider ABCDE review.
Monitor for: ⤷ Neurological symptoms (e.g. confusion, psionic instability). ⤷ Cardiac irregularities. ⤷ Metabolic distress.
Arrange medical evaluation urgently.
📌 Key Takeaways
Gallifreyans require heart-specific CPR.
SD-CPR improves outcomes by matching the natural dual rhythm.
Always check for double cardiac arrest, not just breathing.
Use SPT only if one heart is affected.
Monitor both physical and psionic signs throughout.

hi! I might have the wrong person in mind, but you do a lot of modding for your 3DS correct? I believe you posted a guide/links to how to mod your 3DS and find and download games directly to it?
I unearthed mine recently and was very happy to find a lot of my old DS and 3DS games with it, but sad to be missing some of my favorites. and given that me and my siblings all played video games and are all now adults who have moved around a bunch AND my parents have moved at least twice in the last five years, I know most of our games have probably been lost to yard sales and random boxes/drawers/storage/etc.
anyway I want to try to mod mine and try to find some of those games to play again. (especially some of the puzzle games so I can play on the bus to/from work and not have to be assaulted by ads every time I finish a level like on a mobile game)
if this is you, if you have a link to your other post(s) I thank you in advance!! if it is not you, no worries I will continue my investigation. either way thanks and I hope you have a very nice day!
hey friend!!! i'm not an expert on it myself, i just know where to look for guides and resources ;3 so here's some useful links!
here's the complete guide for modding your 3ds, PLEASE remember to read everything carefully and follow the exact instructions provided for your version of the system! you WILL need another device with an SD card reader to get started (also just for maintenance in the future!!!)
hshop is the best place to find 3ds games and other downloadable content once you're set up! this site also has a compatible homebrew app.
universal-DB is the main store for custom homebrew apps! you can find some games, but it's mostly quality-of-life scripts, mods and software for enhancing your overall experience. the compatible app, universal-updater, should be included as part of the set-up guide.
themeplaza is a hub for sharing custom 3ds homepage themes! these are usually made with programs like usagi 3ds theme maker or kame editor. i prefer the first one!
if you miss online social features, please consider checking out pretendo! it's a project in active development working to revive the 3ds' online space, including miiverse! i'm a beta tester and it's really cool what they've achieved so far!!
good luck, it's really worth it!!! ( ꈍᴗꈍ)

Ability Tree Explanation Part 0
Tumblr media
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3
I remembered how I should've started my last posts by explaining the things that are going on here first before I take a deeper look at the individual characters. So here we go, starting with cursed energy.
Cursed Energy: the underlying power for nearly everything in JJK's magic system; stems from Negative Emotions; needs to exceed a certain amount to make one a sorcerer, otherwise you're just a normal human who can nevertheless create curses unknowingly.
Cursed Energy Manipulation: basic steps to wield CE successfully; branches up to Taijutsu, meaning you can enhance your physical strength and endurance with CE. After a certain point of using CEM with Taijutsu comes the possibility where you're able to achieve a Black Flash. A BF is a momentary increase of your CE by the power of 2.5; it can also reset your CE output.
An Innate Domain has been described as one's soul. You can say CE gave you the means to access it. If you're past that point you can create a Curtain, the most basic form of Barrier Techniques used to conceal what's going on in an area and restrict entry and exit. Higher BTs can manipulate that area, space and time as we've seen various curses do. The ultimate form of a BT infused with the essence of your jujutsu is the Domain Expansion.
As seen in the graph, Simple Domain is connected to both DE and CEM, you don't need to be able to expand a domain though to learn SD. Hollow Whicker Basket is a SD, the one we see most often is SD New Shadow Style. Among other usages, SD disables a DE's sure-hit inside its range.
Another branch of CEM is the Domain Amplification. DA is a version of a DE where you coat yourself with the space of one. This space is supposed to have the user's cursed technique embedded into it but because that CT is absent the CT of the opponent gets sucked into it to become neutralized.
From CE we go to Innate Technique. That one is divided into Inherited and Non-Inherited Technique, what's missing here though is Aquired Technique like Yuji's Shrine and Blood Manipulation. Those 4 things describe the same thing eg Anti-Gravity System or Strawdoll Technique. An IHT is one that is passed down, a NIT is one that appears out of nowhere for the first time.
Cursed Technique Lapse describes any application of an Innate Technique as long as it's done with CE. Eg Resonance and Hairpin are the CTLs of the Strawdoll Technique just like Blue is the CTL of Limitless.
From CEM we can go to the Reverse Cursed Technique. That's the process of creating Positive Energy from CE by multiplying it with itself. PE automatically heals a human but is poison to curses.
If you can create PE you can also learn to channel it into your Innate Technique, this gets you Cursed Technique Reversal. In the entire manga, we only saw 2 applications of CTR: one is Red from Limitless and the other Gravity from Anti-Gravity System.
If a sorcerer can use both CTL and CTR, they can also learn to use the Extension Technique. We only ever saw one sorcerer use that so most people would know it more under Hollow Technique, in this case Purple. (I don't know if Hollow Technqiue is the unique name of Purple or if it's synonymus with Extension Technique.)
What's missing here is the Maximum Technique like Jogo's Meteor, simple Shikigami and Binding Vows to make the ability tree complete.

my thoughts about the switch2
long story short: not that good!
so after those two directs, i was so hyped about the games and features they revealed. but an hour after the switch2 direct ive seen things that- really soured my opinion, so lets recap:
1, the name: im really annoyed its not some quirky name and just a number, like it feels very non-nintendo-like? its a mouthful, at a glance it can be confusing, and bc its the same red it doesnt feel too distinct
2, the ui/art director: ...brother EUUUGH. i was hoping nintendo revises the ui design for the new console but judging from the screenshots on the website they just updated it. and in my opinion it feels way too fandesigned. the rounder corners and the weird blue highlight, once again, feels too non-nintendo-like. after the tomodachi life reveal i was like "omg nintendo is bringing back miis" but nope lmao. the ui design very much so says otherwise sidenote: i saw themes as an option in the settings, but the fact they didnt mention anything about themes has me kinda pessimistic about it
3, the artstyle of mariokart: ho boy, listen. i know new artstyles need to be get used to, and i remember saying im happy with the wonder-like designs, but the ui (and box art) looks awful and too plasticy, and, its a recurring theme, non-nintendo-like. to me its a stepdown compared to mk8d the gameplay i love and the skins/mechanics shown off (although im holding my tongue until the direct in 2 weeks lmao), but the artstyle is still very, meh
4, the price: bro-ther. i came out the direct happy, thinking its gonna be a 400eur console with the regular 60eur games... but 450eur for the console and 80eur for games??? you are insane nintendo not to mention an sd ex card is around 40-60eur additional too, which is just crazy work to limit the console to that i can justify the console being that price because it is a beefy console, but 80eur games i cant justify...
all in all, the game lineup and system functions shown off was exciting initially, but the prices are really unneccessarily high especially for the games. yes its visually enhanced and whatever, but girl 80eur digital games? 60eur was barely worth it for the last few firstparty games (cough pokemon sv cough), so 80eur really sours my opinion because whats the guarantee itll be worth it?

Was re-reading SD Perry’s novelisation of Code Veronica for fun, and um, Wesker is kinda frisky regarding Alexia. Like, he’s definitely chasing her way more than just a virus ‘sample’.
Tumblr media
He’s literally trying to present himself as particularly virile. Good viral-enhanced stock.
Tumblr media
All the while well aware she’s mentally 10 btw

Like Wesker is in heat and thirsty af, holy shit.
Also Alfred is screaming “DON’T FUCKING TOUCH MY SISTER” from beyond the grave.

sd gundam gaiden's shrine maiden miorine is really interesting. as this is an au, there's a lot that's different from the anime of course. but her character has some really cool and intriguing changes.
disclaimer: i'm using mtl (google lens) to understand this au so i might not be 100% correct. and before you ask, i don't have scans of the booklet. a kind soul just sent me pics of it m(_ _)m.
i'm not sure if you need to buy an entire box to get one but the cards come with a booklet that has all the info about the setting, the characters, and the story. this au's premise is pretty much similar to the anime. vanadis in this setting was a village where the people worshipped a dragon god. "gund" is the power of the dragon god and gund tech is the "gund gems" the villagers made which use that dragon power to enhance one's strength. delling of course didn't like this, he declared the dragon god to be a sham and ordered an attack on the dragon village. the survivors and their children escaped into a forest where they would hide and eventually reside. years later, it's now protected by the summoner prospera and is where suletta, miorine, and other earth house characters live.
in the booklet, it's said that miorine, as the village's shrine maiden, is the bridge between the "dragon god" and humans. she protects the village from evil? magic and is in charge of the agriculture. miorine also has a... baby dragon??? hiding in her bosom???? she really saw the utena sword and said i could do you one better lol. i'm so curious if the baby dragon is another aerial or calibarn.
Tumblr media
this role is probably a callback to her being the ceo of gund-arm but it feels like she's much more closely associated to vanadis in this setting. she could connect to the dragon god?? and hides a dragon in her??? but that's not all...
Tumblr media
delling in this setting is the chief of the benerit tribe. in his description, it's said that he has no successor, so he will choose the next chief from the three major factions... there's also this line from michaelis which further suggests miorine is not with benerit and delling in this au. i'm just not sure if this line meant surprise at the fact there is still a shrine maiden for vanadis' dragon god or that miorine is still alive. it might be the former.
Tumblr media
so i'm thinking it's possible that it's not publicly known (or maybe only a handful know) that miorine is delling's daughter, or that he even has one. she probably got separated from delling very early in the timeline and was raised in the dragon village. maybe it was notrette who ran away and took miorine with her??? we'll see if there's anything to explain these in the next edition.
but yeah i thought the shrine maiden role, being so closely tied to vanadis/gund was really interesting. while the shrine maiden is an important role in this story, i like that miorine being pretty weak is still a thing in this LMAO. because as you can see on her card, she has very low MP. but the tomatoes she grows, which are an item card, are imbued with power and i reckon that's how she helps mage suletta, her cute tanuki protector (like literally, she was assigned by prospera to protect the shrine maiden).

What IS Epic The Musical
I WAS WAITING FOR THIS GOD DAMN MOMENT.
OKAY. BUCKLE YOUR SEATBELT ANON, BECAUSE YOU JUST UNLEASHED MY ADVERTISEMENT SIDE /HJ
According to the EPIC website, EPIC is a loose musical adaptation of Homer's Odyssey written by Jorge 'Jay' Rivera-Herrans. Jay also voices Odysseus, the main character of the musical.
It is completely sung through, consisting of 40 songs. The musical has two acts, which are then split into nine 'sagas'. There are five sagas in act one (Troy, Cyclops, Ocean, Circe and Underworld) and four in act two (Thunder, Wisdom, Vengeance, and Ithica).
As the show is still a work in progress, the songs are still being released on platforms in their entirety. As of right now, the Troy, Cyclops, and Ocean sagas have been released with the Circe saga coming sometime soon.
Jay posts consistently on platforms such as TikTok and YouTube, showing his working progress with little sneak peaks at the songs and little bits of information about each of them that really enhance the listening experience!
Plot wise, like I said, EPIC is loosely based on Homer's Odyssey. Homer was an ancient Greek poet, and he is credited for both the Odyssey and the Iliad.
The iliad is the first of the two, telling the story of the Trojan War and all that happened. The Odyssey is about the journey Odysseus and the six hundred Ithican soldiers took to return to their homeland post-war (Spoiler alert. It doesn't work out very well)
EPIC follows Odysseus as he tries so very, very hard to return to his wife, Penelope, and his son, Telemachus. However, every monster, God, and Goddess in the entirety of Greece and Olympus seems to have beef with this man and he struggles to get home.
He's somehow meant to be one of the most intelligent Greeks out there, cunning and clever and a brilliant soldier (so much so that Athena- Goddess of W i s d o m- decides to be his mentor) and yet he has a knack of pissing everyone off.
Anyway, the Trojan War took him away from Ithica and his family for ten years, and then EPIC follows his stupidly long and complicated journey home in the most stunning, heart-wrenching, tear jerking, awe inspiring way it can.
It's greek mythology, what isn't there to love about it.
I doooo heavily recommend it. So, so very much. So much. Jay is so very, very talented, and all of the singers in EPIC are so very talented. I think the songs are on most platforms (I'll link spotify and YouTube below). I also recommend looking at his TikTok or YouTube pages because this man is hilarious, and the process to the creation of this musical is so very interesting.
Okay bye bye :))

Okay, I've been wanting to write about this for a while, and I now have the chance to do it! (Yippee!!)
This post will be covering the main conflict that happens in the sequel to How Are We Friends? A very brief explanation of the AU is that Bass becomes friends with Mega Man, along with Roll, Proto Man, and Kalinka.
OKAY - now that I've got that very short explanation out of the way, I'm just going to go straight into it. (Visuals will be included!)
But as a word of caution, this post is going to contain descriptions of body horror, which might make some people uncomfortable. If you're one of those people, please read carefully or feel free to scroll past!
HAWF itself takes place after Mega Man 11, but the sequel itself acts as a sort of bridge between the Classic series and the X-Series. If you really wanted to, you could interpret this as a hypothetical Mega Man 12 game, but it's more of an AU than anything else.
The main conflict in the sequel is going to be a new type of threat that Dr. Wily develops, that's supposed to be both an improved version of Roboenza, but also a precursor to the maverick virus - and Zero's going to play a key role in all of it. (He's around in this lol)
In Chapter 31 of How Are We Friends?, I hinted at Irregular Fever being developed by Dr. Wily by describing certain chips that were scattered around his lab when Bass and Treble enter. The way a robot could obtain the chip and insert it into themselves is by either taking it orally (like a pill), or having it inserted into their heads like an SD or game card, to put it frankly. I imagine they look a little something like this:
Tumblr media
There are four (technically five, but the fifth one will be addressed in a moment) chips that Wily has developed. I'll start in the order of the one with the highest quantity to the least.
The green chips were the most developed numerically, yet they are the weakest in terms of effects and strength. In other words, they are the most common type of chip.
The purple chips are the second most common, having a stronger effect than the green chips. Intended to be used on more advanced or stronger robot masters.
There's a significant decrease in orange chips than in the other two colors, with there being only twelve exactly. These are to be used on the overseers of the project.
The red chip has the strongest effect out of the four, and it's the only one of its kind. And Wily made it just for Zero! :)
The fifth chip not shown is yellow. Dr. Wily intended for the yellow chip to be used on Bass, which would upgrade him to having both the strength and agility of a reploid, or something on Zero's caliber. It's also the only one of its kind.
Now to get into the effects and purpose of the chips. Oh boy.
The project itself is called Irregular Fever, which I named after the Japanese name of the Maverick Virus in the X-Series, which is called the Irregular Virus. The microchips themselves are simply called chips, but the effects that are caused by the chips are what's called Irregular Fever. (You get what I'm saying?)
I'll start with the good effects first, because there isn't a lot.
These chips are supposed to enhance a robot master both physically and mentally. If they're a robot built for combat, their weapons' effect will be boosted, and if they have a buster or arm cannon, their buster shots will be more powerful, with the chance of being able to use several charge shots in a row. They're speed will increase, along with overall movement, making them more efficient as a whole. Mentally, they'll be able to solve problems faster, have an increase in critical thinking as a whole, and an overall boost in intelligence.
Sounds good, right? I bet you're thinking about getting chipped right now, aren't you?
Now here are the side effects to everything that I've just said!
Side effects may include, but are not limited to:
Headaches/body aches
Sparking (like a firework)
Twitching/body spasms
Irregular (pun intended) heartbeat
Trouble breathing (Free asthma!)
Trouble sleeping (or entering "sleep mode")/restlessness
Frequent restarts or system shutdowns
Oil leakage in eyes and/or mouth
Sudden increase in aggression and/or violent behavior
The three laws (Asimov's Laws) being overridden/aggression and/or violence towards humans (only applies if their laws aren't removed already... Don't worry about that, it's just that a small detail in my AU is they can have the laws programmed out of them (HIGHLY illegal though.))
Anxiety or sudden panic attacks
Suicidal thoughts
Possible possession by Dr. Wily (yeah uhm- he'll be able to gain access to the actual robots themselves at any point in time. Not good...)
(There is a chance that a robot master won't experience any of these, but it's definitely not the norm.)
Even after the chip is removed, these effects can last up to about a month before fully subsiding.
...To play devil's advocate, Wily knew that there would be some side effects, as he wanted a way to control them by providing antidotes to their symptoms (which are temporary or straight up placebos), but he didn't expect all of THAT to happen. He's not that awful, guys! You gotta belie- *gets tranquilized*
Circling back to Irregular Fever as a whole, the whole purpose of it, as we all know, is so that Wily can take over the world with a whole army of robots, - not just his own, but also ones from around the world. He plans on Irregular Fever being a worldwide incident, similar to how the Maverick Virus is (Like I said before, it's the precursor to it). But he obviously can't do it alone, which is why he has assigned twelve overseers to the project. Unfortunately, I still haven't fully decided on who these robot masters would be, but I do know that four of them are Metal Man, Quick Man, Air Man, and Napalm Man. So I got that going for me. (I've just got to figure out eight more. Someone save me.)
Going back to how someone can obtain the chip, however, I imagine that Wily will first distribute it throughout the fortress, which will then lead to the Wilybots going out and passing the chips around like candy. But no one in their right mind would willingly take a random chip. That's the equivalent of walking up to someone and going like "Hey kid, want some free candy?" No one's going to buy that. So you wanna know what they do?:
They slip the chips into their e-tanks, their food (I like to think robot masters can eat, it just doesn't do anything for them. Food just gets incinerated by their cores or whatever) - heck, some will go as far as to insert it into others in their sleep. Then those newly chipped robots will go to Dr. Wily, gather more chips, and spread those out across the world. Rinse and repeat.
Now here's where the main cast is going to factor into all of this, including Zero!
Dr. Wily first tells Zero about the plan (Bass was supposed to be there when it happened, but he didn't want to go.), and he takes the red chip, which'll cause Zero to slowly go insane. But that's a story for another day (his "Irregular" state sort of alludes to Awakened Zero in the X-Series). Once the rest of the Wilybots are made aware of the plan, about 3/4 of the fortress gets chipped. However, the remaining 1/4 is forming their own resistance group, but I can't explain much about that without giving away spoilers to the main story. (Even though this whole post is one big spoiler... Just let me have this, okay?) (Bass is somewhat a part of this group, as he's friends with Rock now.)
When Dr. Wily informs Bass about the plan (to a certain extent), he gives him the yellow chip and tells him about all of the great things behind it, and how he could truly become the strongest if he were to take it. Bass responds and says he'll think about it, then goes to his room and does just that. Although he is tempted to take the chip (as one of his main functions is to become the strongest), he ultimately decides not to do it, because it would provide a strong conflict between him, Rock, and the others. Not only that, but he prefers getting stronger without using any "cheap tactics". (Yet he used the Evil Ener-)
Fast forward a bit in time, and Irregular Fever is now out. Robots are going rogue by the hundreds, (which turns into thousands), chaos is everywhere, and Bass and the others are in the middle of it all. After about a year of no incidents (except for one) from Wily, or anything catastrophic happening, Bass, Proto Man, and Mega Man go back to the grind of shooting robots and wrecking shop.
When they clear the first major wave of chipped robots, they (including Roll and Kalinka) are trying to figure out what the heck is happening. That's when Proto Man will go out on his own and research the cause of all of these robots going insane. He discovers that Irregular Fever is caused by these weird chips, along with the side effects, and he works with Dr. Light to inform the public about it (in this AU, they're now in good standing with each other).
After a bit more time passes, it soon becomes clear to our three main heroes that there's too many robot masters to take out, and that they're going to need some help, and to come up with a plan to deal with the Irregular Fever outbreak. This is where Kalinka and Roll come into the fighting scene:
Kalinka can't fight, as she's a human. However, she does become a navigator of some sort for them, using her father's computer in his lab to help locate and track the overseers and other rogue robot masters. Here's some concept art of that:
Tumblr media
Listen, if she's going to possibly be up at all sorts of ungodly hours in the night, she might as well be comfortable in her own home while doing it. (I also drew her headphones to sort of look like those ear pieces on a robot master's armor, too!)
Oh, Dr. Cossack has no clue about his daughter doing all of this. At least, not yet, that is…
Roll, on the other hand, ends up creating her own armor and weapon to help join the fight! I drew her design in this post, along with an alternative design for Kalinka, but here it is again if anyone wants to see:
Tumblr media
I forgot to draw her weapon, but I imagine that she has a grey and pink broom that she can transform into a hammer! I also like to think that she can downsize her broom/hammer into the size of a charm for a bracelet. :)
Unfortunately, at least one of them is going to get the chip (unwillingly). So that'll be fun for everyone else. I mean what-
That's about all for this post! If you read this far into it, then I'd honestly like to thank you, lol! I genuinely hope you enjoyed reading this!
As of the sequel, I might occasionally post small screenshots of chapters as I write them. I currently have about five and a half chapters done, and I'm trying to go for a backlog of twenty. With the rate I'm going at, you can probably expect to see chapters being uploaded to ao3 around June or so.
And now, I run away- 🏃‍♀️
God bless you! 🫶

Definetly really difficult to get a Nintendo Switch 2 in the UK right now. There’s only limited available stock in all the retailers and scalpers keeps getting in on it first.
I don’t need one straight away because I literally only want Mario Kart World and the 2 updated Zelda games.
That’s all I’m going to have space for anyway.
Definitely not buying one of those micro SD express cards until they come out with a larger capacity option.
256GB just isn’t enough. I need at least 1TB if I want to store every single game I currently have on my Switch OLED. Odds are I won’t need to though because most of those games won’t even have updated S2 editions.
I can wait to play Mario Kart World and Zelda.
Hopefully there’s an enhanced Super Smash Bros too.
Really miss playing that game. Lots of fun in my youth.

The Sporty & Joyful Life of the Minoans 🏛💖✨🎶
The Minoan Civilization: A Surprisingly Modern Society
The Minoan civilization, which flourished on the island of Crete, is renowned for its advanced and, for its time, unusually liberal society. Although our knowledge of the Minoans is incomplete due to limited written sources and primarily based on archaeological finds, a picture emerges of a culture that, from around 2700 to 1450 BC, exhibited remarkable openness, equality, and joie de vivre.
Equality and Tolerance Modern archaeological and anthropological studies frequently highlight the Minoans' liberal attitudes. Researchers like Nanno Marinatos have examined the religious and social structures of the Minoans and found that their society displayed an unusually high level of gender equality for its time. Women actively participated in public life, possibly held leadership positions as priestesses, and enjoyed similar rights to men in private spheres.
Regarding sexuality, the Minoans also seem to have embraced a tolerant attitude. Artistic depictions of same-sex relationships suggest that such relationships were accepted in Minoan society. While interpretations of these depictions remain debated among scholars, there are numerous indications that the Minoans had a more open stance towards various forms of love and romance, including homoerotic relationships.
Katherine A. Schwab, through her work on Minoan frescoes, has provided insights into the social dynamics of Minoan culture, including possible homoerotic aspects. This, combined with the lack of evidence for strict gender or sexual norms, suggests a society that valued personal freedom and expression.
Cultural and Social Freedom Minoan culture was characterized by its artistic flourishing and a strong preference for beauty and pleasure. The Minoans were masters of fresco painting, ceramics, and architecture. Their palaces, such as the famous Palace of Knossos, were not only political and economic centers but also hubs of art and culture.
The Minoans lived in close connection with nature, as reflected in their vivid frescoes depicting dolphins, lilies, and other natural motifs. Their appreciation for water is evident in their ritual purification and bathing practices, which likely held both religious and social significance.
Festivals, dances, and athletic competitions were integral to Minoan society. These events served not only as entertainment but also as ways to strengthen social bonds and express identity through shared experiences.
Religion and Spirituality Religion played a central role in Minoan life, and their spiritual practices mirrored their liberal values. The Minoan religion was largely matriarchal, with goddesses like the Snake Goddess taking central roles. The emphasis on female deities aligns with the high status of women in Minoan society, symbolizing fertility, protection, and the power of nature.
Rituals and religious ceremonies were opportunities for the community to come together, celebrate, and express their connection with the natural and divine worlds. Often accompanied by music and dance, these rituals emphasized harmony, unity, and a deep respect for the environment.
The Minoan civilization was, in many ways, a progressive and unique culture, whose values of equality, artistic freedom, and spiritual connectedness set it apart from many other ancient societies. Their world reminds us that progressive social structures did not begin in modernity—they existed even in antiquity.
