Halloween is upon us! And I have created this theatrical Dracula Vampire makeup tutorial that is easy to recreate.

Covering the brows is the most complicated element of this look, however, my method is easy to follow! That being said, you can also cover your eyebrows with Elmer’s glue, wax, concealer/foundation or you could simply enhance your own brows for a sinister finish.

actually yes!!! i��ve gone through a fair bit of trial and error on this one so let me give you some tips!!

here’s how i did it.

so. first. the makeup.

you will need

- cotton balls/pads

- liquid latex

- scar wax (optional)

- paper towel tube

- tissues

- red base makeup

- eyeliner pencil of some sort

- fake blood

- black/brown/yellow/purple makeup

so, first, you’re going to want to block out the shape of the injury. i usually just draw it out with the eyeliner pencil (using a reference of course). you’re going to want to go all the way down your neck to the collar of your shirt and as far back to where your hair falls on your neck. if your hair doesn’t hit your neck well. then follow your heart. then, you’ll follow the guidelines you’ve put down with cotton and liquid latex to make it raised. you’ll want to tear up the cotton balls/pads and roll them into thin strips with your fingers. you can make them as long or as short as you want. i usually make them pretty short though, so it’s easier to make sure they follow the lines. once you’ve rolled them, you can place liquid latex over your guideline, and then stick the strip on. if that doesn’t make sense, check out my video tutorial and also the one i attached at the end. then, once you have that, you can start adding texture. i usually put one piece of scar wax on the side of my cheek like here. it should look somewhat like this (but with stuff on your neck too.) this is also the stage where i start attaching little pieces of tissue in shreds to my face with liquid latex to simulate the little floppy pieces of skin that hang off.

next, you can add the fake windpipe! for this, i cut a toilet paper tube in half and then adjust the size until it fits comfortably over my throat. you can attach it with liquid latex, then cover it with another piece of tissue to make it a little more seamless and use liquid latex again to hold it down.

now, you have to go in with the color. start with a red base, then add yellow and black highlights, with a little bit of purple if you’re feeling bold. but don’t use too much purple. then, go absolutely insane with the fake blood. the most important thing is to respect the lines you made before, cause in the movie all the wounds are isolated to one side of his face.

to modify this for the later stages of decay you’d want to use a green base for the rest of your face and use less red and more of the darker colors in the wounds. you could create texture on the rest of your face with liquid latex i think to sort of simulate the shriveled look but i’m not super sure - i haven’t tried anything past the initial fresh hospital look. i’d look up a few zombie makeup tutorials and see if you can figure anything else out!

i based all of mine off of this tutorial, so it might be a helpful watch if you’re confused at all.

next, the coat. i really wanted the blood to look fresh, so i had kind of a hard time finding fake blood that would work. most of it dries and soaks into fabric, and since the green coat is dark, it just ends up kinda looking like it’s been stained with an unidentified liquid. so i decided to make my own. i mixed gelatin powder, water, and corn syrup with food coloring - mostly red, but a few drops of blue to get a darker more bloody nasty look. in terms of amount, you just kind of have to follow your heart. then, i poured a little over the shoulder, let it drip, then laid it down and did some spot treatment and made sure the coverage was even and there was enough. i’d recommend doing this maybe two nights before you’re going to need the costume - it takes a while to dry but if you let it dry for too long it’ll start to crack when you move. however, it’s the only way i’ve figured out to keep the blood looking fresh. if you want, you can also cut holes in the coat in some places to match how it is in the movie, but i’ve found it honestly doesn’t need it.

then you’re pretty much set! get some dark jeans and hiking boots and boom. you’re jack. would love to see how your costume turns out!

Day 14: Favorite Ultimate Talent

I don't know what I'm supposed to do about this one. Do I pick a favorite out of the ones that currently exist, nerd out and pick an obscure one from a light novel that 90% of the fanbase hasn't read, or do I come up with one for myself?

If I was an Ultimate, I'd be the Ultimate Yapper/j. For real though, I'd be one of two things, the Ultimate Filmmaker or the Ultimate Theorist. My career goal is to become a filmmaker, running my own movie studio and creating amazing movies for everyone of all ages. Bring back well-thought out movies that are so rare to come by nowadays. If I was a filmmaker however, I'd be a bit of a fraudulent one, since I haven't made any movies. I've written them, storyboarded them, etc. but they are not yet filmed.

Kaito hasn't gone to space yet, and I have yet to make a movie.

On the other hand, I've been told that I'd be the Ultimate Theorist. This is because in my off-time, I'm one of those kinds of people who make fan theories about certain shows and movies I like. I'd talk about one of them, but I fear it'd link back to me pretty quickly lmao. With that theory, I had a lot of people in that fanbase believing it, and it really took off. I actually gave this ultimate to my Danganronpa OC, he's the Ultimate Theorist, though his theories are largely more academic than mine.

This is probably also how I look to my friends and you lovely folks whenever I post long character analyses.

In terms of Ultimate that I'd want, I pick the unnamed Ultimate Make-Up Artist from Danganronpa: Gaiden! According to the wiki, the Ultimate Make-Up Artist is someone whose medium is the human body, applying makeup and prosthetics for theatrical, television, filmmaking, fashion, magazines, and other similar productions. That'd be so cool, and based on the description, I assume they're lumping in SFX makeup into this ultimate.

If you can do SFX makeup, you are one of the coolest people ever imo.

I also think Yasuke Matsuda's ultimate, Ultimate Neurologist, is pretty cool. The field of neuroscience is such a difficult one, you have to understand the human brain, and our brains are already very iffy and strange. Then you have to know how to apply that in a scientific and usually medical sense. Anyone with this ultimate is incredibly smart, and likely dedicated to their work to achieve that while still in high school.

Finally, an Ultimate that appears in-game that I'd want, is the Ultimate Cook. Yes, Teruteru is Teruteru, and I've already mentioned in a previous post that a lot of the food-related ultimates use underhanded means to make their food so beloved. But I've always wanted to learn how to cook.

You see, I'm one of those people who grew up as a "gifted kid". As such, I have been conditioned to believe that everything should come easy to me, and if it doesn't, then I suck and shall never try again. It's a bad mindset, but if you have it, you know its one that's hard to break out of because its so engrained within you. I work on it everyday, but I still catch myself feeling dejected when I'm not immediately amazing at everything I try.

I want to learn how to cook, I'm just scared that I'll try and not be good at it, and then I'll want to give up. It's something I'm trying to work through, picking new recipes to try every week, watching tutorials, Gordon Ramsey clips, Binging with Babish, and all the other cooking YouTube channels. I have like, forty cookbooks being delivered to me soon. I'm an adult, I need to have this skill.

I took a Culinary class a few months ago, and it was actually very nice and therapeutic for me. Despite the constant noise of the kitchen, everything was so soothing to me. Measuring, mixing, mincing, frying, frosting, it was heavenly. I'd only messed up my food three time, and two of those weren't my fault, but my teammate's. I'm still salty about the chocolate chip cookie incidents.

We had made chocolate chip cookies twice. Both times, my group was the only one to mess up. Both times, it wasn't my fault. The first time, the girl who was leading everyone didn't measure enough flour because she was too busy talking to her boyfriend, and the cookies were inedible. I had to scrape them off the baking sheet while her friends gave the rest of my group cookies. The second time, the other girl leading my group didn't put in enough of one ingredient, I think it was butter or sugar, and they came out rock hard and more akin to protein bars. Third time was my fault, I didn't know when to take the food off the stove and it burned.

But since then, I've successfully made beignets, spaghetti and meatballs, hamburgers, chicken mole, and so many more dishes. If I was the Ultimate Chef, you could bet good money on me making three course meals, I'd be so dramatic with it too. Adding garnishes and those pretentious dots on the plate like in The Menu. Ugh, it'd be so fun.

lupin: started as a joke but he IS having fun with it. he’s mostly just fucking around there’s like NO production quality there it’s just. viddy oe. and thats the case whether its youtube OR tiktok, either way it’s going to be quick cutesy spur of the moment junk. if he ever really went all out, he might make some kinda digital calling card (he has made video cards before to inform his targets he’s about to rob their asses lmao) but it’d be some stupid hilarious shit. like imagine those video wedding/graduation invitations with the poorly animated stock resources and generic acoustic guitar music. text slides in that says “i want that statue dumbass” (cymbal fade sfx) “so yeah i’ll be taking that” (dramatic text pan) “seeya thursday, can’t wait :)”

jigen: no profile pic no real username. just like jigen76943 with the blue j icon. NO tiktok. NO tiktok for our guy. insists lupin shouldn’t be using tiktok either as its shortening his already horrible attention span. jigen doesn’t really post videos too much, but if he does it must be something very important to him, really only uploaded so he doesn’t lose it. there’s a handful of videos from some of their vacations (whether its an intended vacation or just ‘oh shit we’re in spain. we should have fun with this’ type deal) but it’s almost all privated. he’s not really showy about stuff like that

fujiko: she had a momentary lapse of judgment when making it, because she thought, easy way to sucker in idiots and make some money off that ad revenue. but also… do you REEEALLY want the world knowing exactly where you are, what you’re doing, at any given moment? well. no. but if you heavily screen every tiny fraction of your video before even THINKING of posting it, maybe nobody will be able to tell you’re literally sitting inside the taj mahal. posted a makeup tutorial once while she was already wearing a full face of less obvious makeup just because it was funny to her to see comments insisting she was so much prettier “without makeup.” so yeah like everything else in her life she’s found a way to rig this for money and her own personal entertainment

goemon: Nay. you know i don’t personally subscribe to the “goemon cant understand ANY technology he’s so archaic teehee” philosophy, but this ain’t even about that, it’s about the fact that goemon is the only one who’s initial reaction was “you want me, a wanted criminal, tagging the people i have been around and locations i have been to? for ‘clout’????” at best he just uses jigen’s phone to watch random stuff that interests him, and like, he’s not PHYSICALLY RECOILING when fujiko tries to show him a funny tiktok, he enjoys the fun of it. but he’s not making one, and if he has anything to say about it, he will not be featured in lupin’s bullshit

as mentioned above, she was born in jeju and was raised by a single father. he's honestly, like, the best dad ever probably. he really did his best to ensure that his daughter had a good life, especially given the unfortunately grim circumstances of her mother's passing. while he worked a lot to provide for them and ensure she wanted for nothing, she spent a lot of time alone—creating mystical make-believe worlds in her mind, whispering secrets into the sea mist to communicate with her mom, and when she got older, most of her downtime was spent watching makeup tutorials, hair styling tips and tricks, and fostering her interest in the metaphysical and occult.

in school, she was bullied a lot. despite her traditionally beautiful appearance, she had—and still has—a rather oddball personality. she speaks in a soft, lilting manner, and asks strange questions to people in order to break the ice; often making those who don't take kindly to whimsy uncomfortable. more often than not, her female peers thought she was a strange pick-me girl, her male peers wanted to date her for her appearance but seldom cared about her personality, and craving a change of pace and some independence, she moved to seoul after graduation; much to the chagrin of her father.

she's basically a fish out of water now, but she's doing her best to assimilate to her new surroundings; finding everything so different and unreal in its own way. she works as a fortune teller and jeweler, but also has strengthened her sfx makeup skills and is sometimes booked for that, as well, mostly around spooky season.

seol minju is a mystic. ever since childhood, she's felt more comfortable in a self-constructed world where sea nymphs, fae creatures, and other magical beings coexist alongside her. she's always felt as though she can access other realms that most humans cannot, and when she tries to express this to people, they often scoff at her; finding her assertions lame, overly peculiar, or impractical. as she's rather soft-spoken and delicate, it's difficult for her to stand up for herself whenever others demean her passions, but she still holds onto hope that she can prove them wrong someday.

above all, minju just wants to be accepted. she's never once felt like she belonged anywhere, and often hates that she was given legs instead of a mermaid tail. she convinces herself that life would've been better under the sea, but tries to remain grateful for all she has.

now, does she actually believe that she's half-mermaid? while it's complicated, she'll still assert that she is. she's not a moron, but it's genuinely how she copes with the fact that she never had a mother. whenever she can, she heads to the nearest beach to spend time with her; finding the water extraordinarily comforting, as if it's home.

minju has no genuine concept of time. this is frustrating to many. she'll always take forever to get ready. she'll always run late. she'll move at very slow paces. she likes to say that she's simply taking her time and taking everything in, but it's still annoying. you'll have to tell her to show up ~2 hours earlier than she's supposed to for her to show up on time. no lie. another unfortunate tragedy about her is that she often falls for all the wrong men. she has garbage taste. please wish her luck in the future.

as she's rather new to the city (arrived early last year), most of her friends who are in seoul are likely rather new to her. maybe your muse met her when she would post-up in random places throughout the city offering free palm/tarot readings for practice!

maybe your muse is also from jeju and they can bond over missing home. that, or maybe your muse hates jeju and butts heads with her about it. i don't know. she'd love knowing someone from back home.

maybe your muse needed their makeup done for halloween last year, saw her instagram, and messaged her for a commission! she loooves shit like that, and she'd make you look terrifying, haunting, or beautiful. whatever you want. she's honestly really good at it.

maybe your (male) muse is an ex-lover of her's. could've lasted from may to december 2023? we can mess with the dates, too, but you know. as mentioned above, she typically falls for the wrong types of men, and she ends up hurt or used a lot, and it sucks, but... it's just the tea for right now. i hope she grows out of it.

i'm up for every type of plot and adore to brainstorm, so i'm sure we can always figure something out ourselves, as well! 🥰
