Lando and Oscar finished P5 and P6 respectively on the last race this season which meant that McLaren is P4 for the Constructor's Championship 🥳

Something a little more personal.

Yes that is me on the right!

Over LOCKDOWN I had put on a lot of weight and 7/8 months ago I decided to lose the weight and actually do it this time round rather than giving up. And I've managed to shed the weight.

And then some!

I now have the CONFIDENCE I had such a long time ago again!

I am super proud of myself it's not been an easy road.

I don't have a perfect body and never will do.

I will continue to push on and keep the weight off!!

I literally cannot stop crying over the MotoGP, this could become a problem.

I am insanely proud of my very best boy, been on this journey with him since 2016. After his very first podium I was utterly charmed by him.

Seeing him at Silverstone this year, and him being so wonderfully generous with his time, stopping and chatting with us is something I will treasue for a very long time. It's rare in the paddock experiance of Day of Champions to encounter a rider without a massive crowd, but we got that. There was 4 of us there when he came out the garage, and we all knew each other. He could have blanked us, he could have quickly signed and left but he didn't. He stopped, posed for pics, chatted, showed off his arm pump scar and was just LOVELY. Honestly the best experiance I've had with a rider in the paddock since our first year in 2015. (Dani comes close, but there were a lot more people around then).

Did it probably help that I was there in my (old) cap and (very old) tee showing I was there 100% for him? Probably. Am I still slightly weirded out and a little proud that was the only race that he posted a insta story thanking fans at his box in tees and shirts? Very much so.

now I am about to watch the race back (live was timing and last lap on videopass on my phone in the pub). I expect another flood of tears.

mad at that safety car because oscar 😭

but there's also just something about lando getting to share a podium at his home GP with two of the drivers on the grid that he's discussed looking up to. basically one of his best friends of the grid and one of the drivers he said inspired him to want to be in f1 🥺

It's such a shame that the safety car wrecked a 2-3, double podium, but Oscar cannot be disappointed with his drive today ~ P4, the points, the respect he deserves and the praise heaped on him

but you're right, there's just something so wonderful about Lando being on the podium with a good friend and one of the drivers he's admitted on multiple occasions to looking up to

and there's something more poetic that he did it at his home GP, in the chrome livery he first started watching and with Lewis who was one of the first drivers he supported on the podium with him and so pleased for him
