for my own sanity im keeping these short but here is your drabble my friend!!!

Scar's eyes have been burrowing into his back far too long for Grian's comfort.

"Alright," Grian snaps, turning on his heel with an abruptness that has Scar physically backpedaling, "whatever it is you're thinking, go ahead and spit it out."

It slips out harsher than intended– but it's been a... day. A long, stressful day, with Scar being difficult at every turn– and maybe that's not charitable, but that's where Grian's at right now.

The echo of a familiar heartbeat drums in his ears, parallel to another game, another life; it rebounds in Grian's palms, the unconscious curl of his fists. He'd give anything not to stand here. He'd give it all to go back to the start.

Any other day, Scar might stammer, play it off– offer something nonsensical that would pry a high-pitched, incredulous laugh from Grian's throat. But today Scar's eyes flit across his face, drinking it in; guarded, wary, that warm liquid core held back by the walls Grian built between them himself.

"I was just thinking," Scar says after a beat, his voice a soft hush blending in with the rustling leaves. Birch, of course– the mangrove of Velvet Keep was acquired elsewhere.

When Scar doesn't elaborate, Grian prods again, thin-veiled impatience threading through his tone. "About–?"

Another weighted pause, as if Scar is testing each word on his tongue before letting it drop to the ground between them. "That it's you." He pauses, still sweeping over Grian's face. "I don't know why I didn't see it. It's always been you."

And now it's Grian's turn to pause, that double-thump heartbeat climbing into his throat, because Scar's expression is opening, a delicate bloom of vulnerability that sears him from the inside out. He should know better; hope like that is punished in worlds like these.

"I genuinely don't know what you're talking about," Grian replies, because at least one of them has to be careful here.

Scar's face shutters; it's a bitter victory, the way his eyes flatten, jaw tight enough that even Grian's teeth creak. A burst of copper seeps from the inside of both their cheeks as Grian turns away.

"Yeah," Scar says at last, so quiet it borders on inaudible. "I guess you wouldn't."

Absolutely despise the trend in fandom spaces of there being a good straight couple (well written, good emotions, contributes to both their character development, and feel natural and right) and then so many people are like "this is because they're both bi because straight people just hate each other and only superficially put up with each other" and I want to scream

There was a post I saw about someone who mutually ghosted a guy after a date and kept matching with him and they're not interested but it's the longest "relationship" the person had been in at that point and I'm like. Karen would mutually ghost someone.

She doesn't really tell Brent/Right/Evelyn/Chris his name (he has a double first name, Patrick is not his last name) and just refers to him as "My Guy". Like "Ah damn, My Guy matched again. End my suffering." And when she tries to explain it to Right who does NOT understand how it's different, her logical answer is "it's my God given right to ghost a polite man!"

Also I just imagine her confiding in Paul about Rick and he's like "is his name Patrick" and she's like "kinda". And after that, Paul calls him "Pattycakes" cause he's never even seen the guy so why not give him a funny little nickname. He's allowed to do so at this point probably.

Sometimes I'm sad, watch s2e6 again and cry. Then, I remember that we'll get to know (no matter what happens) how things will end; and Neil said everything will be fine. That's when I smile and tell myself "it'll be okay".

They'll make up. Aziraphale will understand Heaven is shit. Crowley will be valued and loved. Earth will be saved again.

Who knows? Maybe the last 15 minutes of season 3 make us cry again, but this time of happiness. Maybe we'll see our angel and demon joking in a southern cottage. Maybe they'll have a beautiful garden. Maybe they'll both have shiny rings. Maybe Crowley will offer Aziraphale an appl. And maybe, just maybe, he'll take it and smile.

I don’t think soul eater did enough with the Spirit and Stein dynamic but I especially don’t think they did enough with the fact that Stein was routinely cutting open Spirit and experimenting on him when he slept. And Spirit never noticed. Spirit is like maybe I should cut back on the smoking I’m worried about my lungs I wanna be there for Maka when she grows up and Stein is like “I wouldn’t worry about it I gave you a few extra pairs way back when. just in case. You’re welcome. :)” and walks off as Spirit goes through all the stages of grief rapidly. Stein was lying btw but he did give Spirit a few extra livers because it’s always nice to have a few on hand for emergencies.
