You may think you understand stress, dear reader, but I can assure you that you do not. You do not understand stress unless you have driven around the city in broad daylight with a body in the trunk of your car. There was only so much guilt that a hat and sunglasses could cover.

“We should stop by the bank…take out some cash before we leave the state.” I suggested, my hands tightening on the wheel slightly as I drove. 

Jonah nodded and reached into the backseat to pulled over his bag to shuffle through it. It was always full of random junk from snacks and a water bottle to notebooks and his wallet and phone charger. He carried his life in that bag. He pulled out said charger and helped himself to the port in my car to plug in his phone.

“Jo.” I said.

“Yeah?”

“Why aren’t you…freaked out?” I asked.

“I am.” Jonah answered as he dropped his bag in the backseat again. “My best friend called me out of the single most important studio session of our careers to get me involved in the murder of his wife. Who wouldn’t be freaked out? Why aren’t you freaked out?”

I shifted my hands on the wheel nervously, “I-I am freaked out. I just…I don’t know what happened at all and I think I’m just in shock.”

“Do you think you killed her?” Jonah asked quietly.

I could sense the nervousness in his voice as if he was scared of me too. I honestly didn’t know what to tell him…I didn’t know what to tell myself to reassure either of us. I loved Avalon. I loved her with almost everything in me. So what would be my motive to kill her? Would our argument about my job be enough to enrage my conscious to see nothing but red?

I could only answer my best friend truthfully. After all, he risked so much to come help me.

“I don’t know.”

Jonah nodded stiffly. He probably expected that reply from me. I had been saying it all morning.

“Well, we’ll go to the bank and check out this J person at the Lincoln motel and see where that takes us.”

Jonah and I were by no means celebrities, but our jobs certainly put us in the spotlight more often than we might have liked – especially in a situation as we found ourselves in with Avalon. Owning one of the top record companies in the country was not an easy feat and the publicity that came with it often made going out in public a bit of a hassle. I couldn’t tell you how many times Avalon and I were interrupted on a date for someone to want to talk to me, slide me a demo, or – for some reason – even get my autograph. Even Hollywood Fix seemed to have a soft spot for Jonah and me.

Avalon hated paparazzi. She hated paparazzi more than any other aspect of my job honestly. They made her nervous and claustrophobic and she always felt completely tense the entire night we were out if the paparazzi greeted us at the restaurant. Seemed like no matter the country they followed us everywhere. Even on our honeymoon we couldn’t catch a break.

“It’s just a few cameras.”

Avalon glanced out the tinted window of the rental car to the sidewalk that was swarming with paparazzi and their crew, waiting for us to step out.

“That’s hardly a few.” she mumbled.

“Just keep your head down and don’t say anything.”

“I can’t just ignore them.” she turned to me, “That’s rude.”

“Well what do you want me to say?” I sighed.

“I want to have a date with my husband that’s not riddled with strangers and their cameras.”

“Sorry to be such a burden in your life, honey.”

“Oh, Daniel, stop that.” she scoffed, shaking her head as she turned back out the window.

I stared at her a moment, her bottom lip held between her teeth and her arms crossed over the chest of the tight tropical dress she wore. I slid my hand over her thigh and gave it a squeeze to get her looking back at me. Her brown eyes were shimmering in anxious tears.

“I want to go back to the hotel.”

“No, no. It’s fine. I promise. I’ll be right beside you.” I assured her, capturing her chin in my hand to pull her lips onto mine for a quick kiss before reaching for the handle on the car door, “Come on.”

Thinking about these things only made me realize how much we actually argued. Maybe how dense I was to her feelings. Did that make me selfish? Well, I’m no perfect man. I can only push that fact on you so much, dear reader.

Jonah and I stared up at the brick bank building in front of us. The few steps to the ATM seemed like a mile. I took out my wallet from my jeans pocket and flicked through it to pull out my credit card with a sigh.

“5k?” Jonah suggested.

“Yeah, sounds about right.” I mumbled, adjusting the cap on my head as I scanned the curb we were parked in front of. “I’ll be quick.”

I stepped out of my car before I could psych myself up anymore and hopped up onto the sidewalk towards the ATM outside the building. I stood close to the machine, head down, and slid my credit card into the slot. I typed in my pin number with shaking hands and waited for my withdrawal request to go through while I tried not to think about what I was hiding in my car just behind me.

The sun beat down on the back of my neck as I hunched over the ATM, trying my best to keep myself in the shadows. It felt like ages had gone by until the machine slid out a stack of one-hundred-dollar bills and returned my card. I kept my head down as I turned on my heel and crashed right into a man walking towards the front doors of the bank.

He must have apologized – I remember him saying something to me – but the fear that our sudden collision injected into my veins had me bowing my head and rushing off to my car a few feet away without a word. I was breathless when I closed the door behind me as if I had just hiked up the Hills and back and I tried to play it off as I flicked through the bills in my hand.

I held out half the stack to Jonah so we could split the total just in-case anything happened to either of us, “Twenty-five-hundred for you. Twenty-five-hundred for me.”

“Great.” Jonah reached into the backseat and grabbed his wallet from his back to tuck the cash safely away and I slipped my half into the glove box of the car.

We had to keep moving so I pulled out of the bank parking lot back towards the main roads while Jonah brought up the address of the motel in the GPS and set the route navigation on. We drove in silence, not even bothering to put on any music, and he scrolled through his phone as we hit some traffic on the freeway.

“The place looks musty as hell.” Jonah said casually.

I glanced over to his phone screen to see him checking out the Expedia site.

“It’s like 1 out of 5 stars. Reviews say bed bugs, broken furniture, unfriendly staff. Why would Avalon want to go within five blocks of this place yet alone meet someone inside?” Jonah mumbled and he set his phone back down to charge.

“Yeah, well, I don’t think the interior design what she was particularly worried about.” I muttered as I switched lanes towards the exit for Pasadena. I couldn’t help but let the jealously come out through my tone of voice.

My phone rang through the Tesla speakers and I glanced at the screen to see Christian calling me for at least the third time since the night before. I declined it.

“Fuck. Why does he need to know where I am so badly?” I grumbled.

“Maybe you should just tell him you’re busy at work.” Jonah suggested.

“It’s none of his business where I am.”

“It’ll get him off your back.”

“It’ll get him asking questions. We really don’t need that.” I sighed tiredly.

Jonah kept quiet.

The Lincoln Motel was right off the freeway and was so closely built under the underpass that it could have passed as a troll under the bridge. Honestly, it sort of felt like that same sort of sense as I pulled into the cracked parking lot of the nearly crumbling orange stucco two-storey building. My white Tesla looked like a diamond in the rough beside the motel and I would have been worried about it being stolen if it wasn’t for the body in the trunk already depreciating the car.

I parked in the spot closest to the building and Jonah and I took a moment to prepare ourselves for not only the person we were going to meet uninvited but also to face the decrepit building firsthand. I leaned forward to see up to the second storey balcony – all the rooms being outdoor entry – and located number nineteen. This certainly was not what I had planned when I woke up that morning.

Oh no I’m sorry about the indecent bots 😔. That’s harassment. Where’s the internet police when you need them 🤡.

But back to our pet discussion yes yes I see. I had a feeling Futakuchi would be the worst pet honestly 😂. But have you thought of how exhausting having Goshiki as a pet would be? Here’s the scenario

Goshiki is a puppy. A very energetic puppy that you have to walk at least 3 times a day to get rid of some of that energy. And even then he’s waking you up at 5am just to go play.

But now I have an even harder question for you and you might’ve mentioned this in Shiratorizawa Antics but I’m way behind 🤡. But what would be the team’s individual go to drink? Like for example when I got to Starbucks I always get a Venti Mango Dragonfruit Refresher with lemonade and no ice (the ice melts and waters down my drink) but if I go to Dunking Donuts (American coffee shop for those who don’t know) I always get a large iced mocha latte with extra whipped cream.

Also side note I loved MSBY Black Jackals Online 🥺. I thought it would be Sakusa end game but boy was I wrong. But I still loved it

it was the worst experience I ever had opening the inbox... the only other time I had been so shocked to the core when I opened my inbox was when someone sent a message full of feet emoji to me! shivering as I type this out atm.

you're so right about goshiki being an exhausting pet 😭 I honestly see him as one of those hyperactive russell terriers that jump on your bed at the ass crack of dawn to wake you up for a 3 mile long walk around the neighborhood... probably steals food from your plate too when you're not looking! but he'd be so cute that he never gets in trouble 😭

oooo okay! the drink orders took a bit of time to think about on my side which is why it took me a while to get back to you (my b). and gosh, your refresher sounds SO good right now 😭 my mouth is watering + I'm the same as you as I love getting extra whipped cream on my drinks <3 the joy in seeing the tower of whipped cream is like no other.

ushijima -> the kind of guy who gets the same thing every morning since he really likes to stick to a solid routine. orders a cappuccino with an extra shot of espresso and downs it in 5 minutes. um, did you even enjoy it ushijima? tendou introduces him to biscotti and whenever he's running a bit late he'll have that for a small breakfast.

order: cappuccino with cinnamon dusted on top of the foam... add a chocolate almond biscotti on the side

tendou -> doesn't have a "usual" drink order since he loves to try whatever is new on the menu all the time. seriously, he's the customer who tries every item on the menu at least once. will sometimes look for "secret" recipes online and order them. leans more towards sugary blended drinks like a frappuccino rather than actual coffee.

order: ??? (it always changes!)

goshiki -> loves getting milk tea! I can see him going out with his friends to a boba shop to hang out. gets something sweet, but not a complete sugar bomb... like an iced rose milk tea with honey boba or something. will occasionally get a smoothie if it's really hot outside.

order: large iced rose milk tea with honey boba, large mango yogurt infused smoothie (only if it's really hot!)

yamagata -> like goshiki, yamagata gives off the vibes that he would prefer milk tea the most. probably loves to customize his drinks with a lot of jellies and boba along with a milk cap. has all the guys going "what is that?" to which he reads off the sticker on the cup and its as long as the bill of rights. likes ordering a drink that'll make him full AND last him the entire day.

order: large iced oolong milk tea with a milk cap, herbal jelly, honey boba, and egg pudding

oohira -> easygoing with the drinks he's getting, but doesn't like them too sweet. something like jasmine tea with a foam cap suits his tastes. leans more towards ordering iced teas than coffee, however, if he's really tired and has a busy schedule, then he'll order a cold brew.

order: medium iced jasmine green tea with sea salt foam, small iced cold brew with milk

semi -> gets espresso drinks when he's with his friends to look cool (a caramel macchiato is his go to), but he doesn't really like them all too much! has a secret sweet tooth. when he's by himself, he buys the tallest size of whatever sweetest and pinkest drink the café sells to enjoy at home. tendou saw him once with shades and a cap on leaving a starbucks with a pink drink held close to his chest and he couldn't stop laughing.

order: small iced caramel macchiato (when with friends), large iced pink drink (when by himself)

kawanishi -> orders whatever is trendy to try it before the hype dies, but usually gravitates towards iced lattes whenever he's really craving a drink. his instagram stories usually have pictures of when he's out with friends and he's holding whatever new drink is being promoted at the time. has lackluster reviews saying "it's alright" and "pretty good" as the captions for his stories. I can see him liking matcha lattes and bringing them with him to his uni lectures!

order: medium iced matcha latte with oat milk (sometimes adds red bean)

shirabu -> always gets an americano whenever he goes to a café. he's addicted to them at this point, needing the caffeine fill every morning before going to work or else he gets cranky. it doesn't matter what time of day it is, you'll always find shirabu in his office with a tall cup of iced coffee beside him.

I started watching the lazy town stage play(s?) and here’s what I’ve gleaned so far:

-its a fucking trip for starters 

-Srsly I have no idea what the fuck is going on

-is this like…meant for kids? Adults??? What’s happening here?????

-because all the kids are played by adults but that doesn’t make the upskirt shots of Stephanie and her tiny ass dress any less weird

-or that time íþró broke into Pixel’s house or grabbed Trixie’s hair (not that she didn’t deserve it but jesus)

-Stingy on the other hand is like…kind of a putz? Idk I haven’t seen the whole thing yet

Pairings: Lin x reader, Anthony x reader

The show went pretty smoothly your first few nights, although you had no previous experience to compare it to. You met the rest of the cast, and had found fast friends in Daveed and Phillipa (or as she affectionately told you to call her, Pippa). At some point during your fifth show, you snuck into the wings to watch pieces of the show. It was good. Like, really fucking good. The actors flawlessly portrayed their characters as if they had lived in their shoes in some sort of past life.

You giggled at Daveed’s French accent; you marveled at Pippa’s insane vocal talent. You thought your favorite part of Act 1 was definitely Satisfied. Renee was another level of talent. You joined the men in the cast for what was apparently a nightly tradition - a backstage dance party during The Schuyler Sisters. 

You had vaguely noticed Lin’s eyes scanning up and down your body as you danced, your hips rolling to the beat. You had immediately questioned your dancing skills and quickly toned it down; you didn’t want to embarrass yourself in front of your new coworkers just yet. 

During the intermission, you helped actors fix the makeup that they had sweat off - or in Anthony’s case, “accidentally” rubbed off. You were carefully combing through his curly locks with your fingers when Daveed and Lin walked in. The taller man was laughing hysterically, his wild curls bouncing as his body was racked with cackles. Lin looked extremely annoyed and almost a little flustered. You were surprised; it was a side to the outgoing man you had never seen before. 

“What’s up?” you inquired as you glanced at the pair in amusement. Lin rolled his eyes and plopped down in a chair. “Daveed’s being an ass, as usual,” he huffed. Daveed scoffed dramatically. “I am not!”

“Yes, you are.”

“Am not!”

“Are too.”

“You’re just annoyed because I figured out that-”

Lin cut the curly haired man off with a hard pillow to the face. You giggled amusedly, tapping Anthony’s shoulder to let him know that he could go. He flashed you a grateful smile and scampered out of the room.

Back on the other side of the room, Lin was still going after Daveed angrily as the other man continued to laugh. “Dude, I don’t know what you’re so mad about, it was so easy to figure out. You’re so obvious,” Daveed howled. “I can’t blame you though, she’s hot!” You considered what you had just heard slowly. Lin was interested in someone, and it was obvious enough for people to figure it out. You felt your heart sink the slightest bit. If it was so obvious, it must be someone else. Right? Crestfallen, you decided to at least put an end to Lin’s embarrassment. “Hey! Diggs,” you called sternly. The gazes of the two men snapped up to you quickly. “Chair. Now.” Daveed scrambled towards you, sitting in front of you with a guilty smile. You rolled your eyes impatiently as you began to stretch the wig cap over his curly locks.

“(Y/N)?” Lin called softly. You glanced up at him quickly and saw the apprehensive look on his face.

“Yeah?”

You heard a deep breath from him; it was almost shaky. Daveed began cackling once again - god knows why - so you yanked on the curly haired man’s ear. That shut him up. “This Friday we’re having a little cast party,” Lin blurted out. “Well, not really little. Our cast isn’t really great at keeping gatherings small and casual. But it’s gonna be at this high end club and I was wondering-”

“Yes, I would like to go,” you cut in, watching a small smile play on Lin’s lips. You signaled to Daveed that he was done after fastening his wig on, and the taller man left. Lin moved to the chair in front of you. “You almost seemed nervous to ask me, Miranda,” you mused. You removed the elastic in his dark hair and began working some dry shampoo in with your fingers - the actors’ hair tended to get pretty nasty after a whole act of singing and dancing.

You watched as Lin bit his lip. “N-no...” he protested, shrugging casually. “Diggs was just making me nervous with the teasing is all.” You felt your heart sink the slightest bit for the second time that night. God, why were you so bitter that Lin was interested in someone? You barely knew the guy, and you hadn’t spent tons of time together. If anything, you had been avoiding him as a result of the weird feelings he seemed to breed within you.

Shaking the odd jealousy that plagued you away instantly, you pulled yourself out of your thoughts and realized that you had been just absentmindedly stroking and playing with Lin’s soft hair. You yanked your hands away nervously. He probably thinks I’m so fucking strange, you thought glumly as your cursed yourself. But then the strangest thing happened. As you removed your hands from gently running through Lin’s hair, he subconsciously moved his head back and followed them - almost like he was searching for the contact you had just deprived him of.

You didn’t know what to say, so you did the only thing you could think of - you wove your hands back into his hair and began stroking it again. Lin immediately let out a satisfied hum, causing you to crack a smile. “My god, I’ve found your weakness,” you gasped jokingly, attempting to shatter the silence. Lin looked up at you with those huge brown eyes in inquiry. You gestured to your hands, which were working their way through his long, dark locks. “Who would’ve thought that the Pulitzer Prize winning genius would come undone from getting his hair played with?”

Lin’s cheeks flushed with color and he avoided eye contact with you. You continued to grin at him despite his clear embarrassment. The loudspeaker interrupted the moment with a “Places everyone! Please get in your places for Act Two!” At that, he leapt out of your chair and darted towards the door. He was about to leave when you stopped him. “Lin,” you called out, hoping he wouldn’t ignore you.

Lin turned to face you, still making minimal eye contact with you. The blush hadn’t disappeared from his cheeks. “Yeah?” he murmured anxiously. You bit your lip, attempting to hold back an earsplitting smile.

“Your secret’s safe with me,” you assured the flustered man in front of you. “And if it’s worth anything, I think it’s really adorable.”

With that, Lin was gone in a flash of hunter green velvet.

You eyes stayed glued to the doorframe, the recent events playing through your head over and over again. That was very weird, but you didn’t really mind hearing that content little hum fro- stop it! You shut down that train of thought immediately; it was headed on a dangerous path towards affection and attraction. Lin has feelings for someone! you reminded yourself harshly. No matter how hard you tried, though, you couldn’t stop thinking back and smiling.

You unlocked your phone out of boredom, flipping through Instagram and Twitter as you longed for the comfort of your bed. That night, your plan was as follows: pour a glass of white wine, have a bubble bath, do a face mask, and fall asleep. You savored the thoughts of the haven that was your apartment; your phone buzzed with the notification of a new text message.

2. Favorite genre of fic?

I’m sorry that I’m so boring, but I have to say romance lol (because the right romance fics are so much better than most published romance novels). But I also love love love some other plot in it. Actually, I don’t think I really have a set favourite genre? Whatever speaks to me, basically? Many of my favourite fics aren’t really all that similar to each other. But I guess since I’m looking for romance stuff the most, it’s romance.

3. Favorite fandom? 

Another tough question because I am so very indecisive, I can’t have a favourite fandom. I love many fandoms. I mean, I guess I’d have to say Harry Potter because somehow, I’m always coming back to it because there are just so many quality fic in there if you know where to look. It’s kind of also kind of one of my very first fandoms and now I’ve been in it for so long, I can’t just abandon it lol

Just fandom-wise I really really love Haikyuu because that fandom is just so nice? I mean, I’m not all that involved in any fandom I guess, which is why I miss many things and conflicts (e.g. I only found out about all the drama in the MCU fandom re Iron Man vs Cap or the drama in the Teen Wolf fandom through people I follow lol), but the worst I have witnessed in Haikyuu is how some people gave thought-out arguments (without insults) why one character is or is not coded as a “villain” type character (there was/is a dispute about one character because some hate/dislike him and others defend him). And that’s it. Other than that it’s mostly “OMG I LOVE EVERY CHARACTER AND SHIP EVERYTHING” from almost everyone in that fandom lol (or “I don’t care what you ship as long as you let me ship my stuff, ship and let ship”). It’s just really chill. It’s also the fandom that really made me a poly-shipper. Idk, man, I love that fandom.

The Yuri!!! on ice fandom is also really nice. Those people sure like to discuss and explain things lol Also, almost everyone had, literally, the same reactions to the stuff happening in it. Plus, we got a healthy, loving, explicit same-sex relationship in an anime. That’s, like, a really rare thing. The only other genre-anime I know with an explicit same-sex kind-of-relationship is No. 6, and that relationship is so friggin far from healthy it’s not funny (sorry, NezuShi fans, I am a fan of them too, but their relationship throughout the entirety of the series is not healthy by any standard, which is totally explainable by the circumstances, but seriously, they’ll have a lot of growing up to do before it can be called healthy). Anyway, I digress.

Okay, so, first I just have to tell you about my first absolute favourite fic ever, which, I’m really sorry, but it’s in German and it’s a Yu-Gi-Oh! fic lol

It’s “Paw Prints - Pfotenabdrücke” by someone I’m actually following on here ( @goldandcold ) who is an amazing and talented writer and I really have to read stuff by her again asdfghjkl but atm I’m into very different fandoms and just *cries* I need more time so I can watch the stuff she’s watching and writing for lol can someone, like, gift me a hundred free hours? lol

Anyway, that fic has character death in it, which is something I usually avoid at all costs because I know myself and I know I’ll be depressed about it for at least a week if I read character death. I’m like that lol

But I did because I always make exceptions for writers I like. Well, it became my favourite fic, so I guess I can’t complain. I will always remember the last words in there

“Du bist quer über mein Herz gelaufenwie ein kleiner tollpatschiger Hund über nassen Sandund du hast überall deine Pfotenabdrücke hinterlassen”

which roughly translates to

asdfghjkl I just love those words, they resonated with me so much and asdfghjk *flails* yeah, first fave fic. (also, now I’m in nostalgia land)

Another favourite fic I love to come back to is “Eclipse” by mijan (Harry Potter this time, back then I read it on fictionalley, but the link doesn’t seem to work atm? Is fictionalley down?). I am still entranced every time I read it and whenever I start it I have to continue reading till the end because I just love it so much. The plot is so amazingly intricate and the character development is THE FRIGGING BEST I CAN’T and everything makes so much sense and asdfghjkl it is just very amazing ok. The amount of detail in that story *sigh* *must resist reading it now before all the exams*

Another two favourite Harry Potter fics are “All Our Secrets Laid Bare” and “Stop All the Clocks”, both by @firethesound. AOSLB is just amazing all around, okay, I even reblogged a rec for it here on tumblr (here). I just love it so very much omg *flails* The idea alone to make them investigate Death Eater safe houses and all the FRIGGING DETAILS IN IT!!!!!! THE DETAILS!!!! SO MUCH LOVE!!!! (yes the exclamation marks are necessary)

I wrote a rec myself for Stop All the Clocks here. Weirdly, it also has major character death in it. But, same as above, I do make exceptions for writers I really like. That fic destroyed me though. I absolutely love the parallels in that fic, too. And how it spans many years. Just. Very beautiful, very touching, very sad. Which is why it’s great that there is AOSLB. I also still have to read all the other fics because I just KNOW they’re ALL amazing

And I’m still not done with the fave fics, guys. I’m sorry I can’t keep it short *cough*

Moving away from Harry Potter... the next one is for Free! Anime again lol It’s, weirdly, another fic that doesn’t end all that happily for the romance, and the fic is “With Vega At Your Left” by threesmallcrows. It’s a different take on a soulmate AU. Like, when the person you’re in love with isn’t your soulmate. A side character also deals with an abusive soulmate. Basically, everything that can go wrong with soulmate marks. And it’s just so real. Trigger warning for attempted suicide though (and mentioned abuse - like, the abuser doesn’t appear in the fic and the abuse is only talked about and the repercussions dealt with, but nothing explicit). I love this fic a lot, but it gives me the sads.

Safety in Silence by survivah (Teen Wolf canon divergent soulmate AU with the soulmate “condition” not necessarily being reciprocated, lots of Sterek pining and friendship and angst, really slow-burn and really sweet and cute, very fluffy too, awesome idea to make it different for different species! Also, werewolves and other species are known to humans etc)

Gravity’s Got Nothing on You by FairyLights101 (Teen Wolf Sterek pretend to be dating AU, also the-Hales-survived AU and Laura is an important character in that fic, and because the Hales survived, Allison also lives, double yay)

Seven Deaths by x-parrot (One Piece, no pairings (le gasp!), just Zorro+Sanji friendship, there’s violence (torture) in it, it’s not very explicit, but be warned)

7. One-shots or longfic? 

I think, if you look at my favourite fics, you have the answer lol. Many of them are 100k+, so yeah, longfic lol I love the development that is possible in longfics. I do like shorter fic too, though in my mind, one-shot just means it’s all in one chapter... and there are 20k one-chapter fics out there, you know. But! I do also like short stuff, it just doesn’t really end up being among my favourites.

9. What is the longest fic you’ve read? 

Tbh, I don’t remember, but Eclipse is over 287k words long, and I’m not sure if I’ve read anything longer than that.

16. How do you feel about character death in fic? 

I think I’ve answered that somewhere in that novel above lol

Usually, I avoid it like the plague because I get the sads and am down for days afterwards. It’s not that I think those fics are bad or anything. It’s just that I want happy endings lol My heart can’t take too much sad. This doesn’t change even when I make exceptions, so that’s kind of the downside I have to live with when I do lol

In published novels and movies and series etc I don’t mind character death, but fic... well, fic are different lol

31. Do you read AUs? 

Yes! I used to avoid them, but then I guess some fic changed my mind lol I really love all them tropes, soulmate AUs, fake-dating AUs, police procedural AUs, you name it. For some weird reason I’m not all gung-ho about coffeeshop AUs. I don’t mind them, and I’ll read them if they’re good, but they seem kinda boring to me. (oh, and pls don’t come with a/b/o stuff at me, it squicks me immensely and I hate it)

32. Favorite AU tropes? 

Fake dating! Soulmates! Specifically for Teen Wolf: Allison lives! The-Hales-Survived! Idk, there are too many lol Well, my fave is still the platonic bed sharing one (not sure if that counts as an AU trope, since it could also be written in non-AU fics). I also seem to like time travel / time jumps / time manipulation.

33. Least favorite AU tropes?

A/B/O fics. I just hate them and I don’t even wanna see them, they squick me *shudder* I mean, to each their own, and I wish it at least wouldn’t squick me that much (it’s a physiological reaction, I get the creeps and it’s almost like I feel one step away from nausea - same feeling I get when I see reader x character fic, squicks me too and is the sole reason I never visit the teen wolf tag because it’s full of those), but it does.

36. Do you like crossovers? If so, favorite crossover? 

I do! But I’m kinda still new to them and they’re not my favourite thing, so I haven’t read many crossover fics yet. I really like that X-Men crossover fic I linked to, and I do like Harry Potter crossovers (like, the other characters as witches and wizards in a wizarding school). Other than that I’ve also read a really cool Criminal Minds/House MD crossover once, and a Criminal Minds/Supernatural one too, and they’re pretty cool. Guess I still have to figure out what I particularly like when it’s about crossovers.

This is also the fic that really got me into poly ships. The relatioship between the four characters just feels so natural as it develops, it feels like that’s how it should be. It also deals with past abuse and there is 120% consent invovled. It’s just a really good fic ok

So, yeah, I do lol I mean, I do need other stuff in it too, but I absolutely do like fics that aren’t too serious and where the conflicts aren’t life-or-death or heavy on the angst etc. Like, slice of life kind of stuff.
