Best Ways to Make Balloon Car

To make balloon car, you'll need a few materials and follow these simple steps:

Materials:

A large, round balloon

A plastic straw

Four plastic bottle caps

A lightweight, small cardboard box

Tape

Scissors

Markers (optional for decoration)

Steps:

Decorate the cardboard box as desired. This will be the body of your balloon car.

Attach the four plastic bottle caps to the bottom of the box, one at each corner, using tape. These will serve as the wheels.

Cut the plastic straw in half and tape one piece to the back of the box, vertically. Ensure it's pointing away from the box.

Inflate the balloon but don't tie it. Stretch the open end of the balloon over the untaped end of the straw.

Place your balloon car on a smooth, flat surface and let go of the balloon. The air escaping from the balloon will propel the car forward.

Experiment with the size of the balloon and the weight of the car to optimize its speed and distance.

How to Make Your Own Harmonica

A few simple things are required to How to make your own harmonica at home. A piece of wax paper and two popsicle sticks should be gathered first. In between the two popsicle sticks, sandwich the wax paper, leaving a little space at one end. Rubber bands should be used to join the sticks while leaving the open gap unbanded on both ends. This results in a tiny sound chamber. Put a toothpick through the wax paper and make a few tiny holes. These holes will serve as your "notes." Ensure that the holes are distributed equally. Put your lips over the opening and gently blow while concealing and revealing the holes with your fingers to play. The wax paper vibrates against the holes as you blow air, producing musical notes. Try with various hole placements and sizes to get different sounds. You can also use stickers or markers to customise your harmonica. Even while the sound of this homemade harmonica won't be identical to that of an expert instrument, it's still a great method to experiment with sound, music, and even physics!

¿CÓMO PUEDE IMPACTAR EN TU CENTRO EN ESTOS MOMENTOS LA IMPLANTACIÓN DEL "ABP"?

Mi centro es un I.E.S. público en el centro de una ciudad grande, con un alumnado procedente de familias de clase media alta. En muchos años no ha habido prácticamente ningún proyecto de ningún tipo por parte de un docente de forma individual, ni de forma colaborativa, a excepción de algún proyecto de e-Twinning del departamento de inglés del que soy parte.

El curso pasado y este sí hay un grupo de profesores de diferentes asignaturas que participan en un proyecto STEAM. Este año al centro se le ha concedido un proyecto Erasmus + llamado: Steamaction for the future. Es un proyecto a tres años en el que colaboran otros seis centros extranjeros.

Esto es un gran cambio en la mentalidad de algunos docentes que han pasado de trabajar de forma individual en sus asignaturas, a trabajar en equipo con otras dinámicas dentro del aula. Aquí se puede ver el potencial interdisciplinar y globalizador de otras propuestas didácticas.

Yo creo que el ABP se puede implantar de forma individual por parte de un docente que colabora con algún compañero o compañeros que dan clase al mismo curso de forma más generalizada, aunque ya supone un trabajo extra. Siendo más ambiciosos también se podría incluir a nivel de proyectos de centro como el que he mencionado. Aún así estaríamos hablando de la implicación de no más de un 20% del claustro en ese proyecto de mi centro. La media de edad del profesorado de mi centro es muy alta y todos estamos con plaza definitiva desde muchos años en el centro y creo que nos hemos acomodado y nos cuesta investigar y probar cosas nuevas. Y falta mencionar el elevado número de horas semanales de docencia directa, que no nos permite muchos momentos para investigar y ver qué otras cosas hacen otros compañeros. Pero, compañeros, nunca es tarde si la dicha es buena…
