Meer dan 30 km gelopen deze week! Eén van mijn eieren komt bijna uit. Helaas heb ik maar één incubator en ik wil geen echt geld uitgeven aan ingame currencies, dus dat moet maar. Vandaag ben ik met mijn nieuwe kamergenoot Caroline de stad in gegaan. Barbara kon helaas niet mee, wegens studie. Barbara heeft het nu al heel druk met studie, want ze volgt een bepaalde Erasmus Master dat bestaat uit korte modules. Hierdoor heeft ze om de twee weken examens.

Caroline was nog niet in het centrum geweest, dus het was raar om een soort van tourguide te zijn. Ik probeerde alles dat Tadeja ons verteld had te herinneren. We hebben pizza gegeten bij die ene pizzaplaats. Blijkbaar is de ene kant van het gebouw take-away, waar wij zaten, en de andere kant van het gebouw is een pizzarestaurant. Goed om te weten. 

We werden constant overvallen door musjes die kruimeltjes pizzabrood kwamen halen. Eén mus bleef ook aan Caroline’s pizza knabbelen. Caroline was al klaar en we leerden dus dat musjes wel van kaas en tomaat houden. Hopelijk hebben we nu niet de hele mussenpopulatie van Ljubljana vergiftigd.

Ik heb blijkbaar 9 foto’s gemaakt van de mussen. Ik bleef maar klikken want ik zag amper iets door de zon. Ik post ze wel apart in een photoset. Er is ook één foto met de mus die de hele pizza probeerde te eten.

Daarna hebben we gewoon veel door de stad gelopen en gepraat over Ljubljana en de verschillen tussen België en Nederland.

Het was best druk en er waren veel toeristen.

Nog een ander ding dat mega goedkoop is: een flesje Coca Cola bij de Spar is 69 cent (nice)! In Nederland kost dat boven de €1 en in België waarschijnlijk nog meer wegens de sugar tax. 

We zijn ook even naar de obag store gegaan en daar heb ik foto’s gemaakt voor Lulu, zodat ze kan kijken of ze iets leuks ziet. Lu, er is nu 70% korting op bepaalde producten!

Toen maar terug naar huis. Bij het busstation vroeg een meneer beleefd welke taal we spreken (other old men: take notes!) en toen wij “Dutch” zeiden, werd hij heel blij. Hij vertelde ons dat hij een beetje “Dutch” spreek, maar dat hij het raar vond dat hij helemaal niets begreep, daarom vroeg hij het even.

Wat bleek? Hij dacht dat we Duits, oftewel Deutsch, spraken. Hij sprak Duits en wij legden toen snel uit dat “Dutch” en “Deutsch” niet hetzelfde zijn. Dat hoor je inderdaad vaker. Vroeger dacht ik namelijk ook dat ze beiden Duits betekenden. Waarom is het wel “Nederlands” voor “Nederland”, maar “Dutch” voor “The Netherlands”? Duistland klint tenminste nog consistent met “Deutsch” voor “Deutschland” en “German” voor “Germany”.

Caroline heeft de gele Urbana kaart, aangezien ze nog niet haar groene Urbana kaart kan aanvragen. Barbara had eigenlijk gevraagd of ik de gele kaart terug in de algemene ruimte kon leggen, maar ik denk wel dat het handig is dat Caroline nu ook kan reizen. We zien wel. Ik moet ook nog kijken of de Spar plus kaart gedeeld is, zodat we allemaal korting op boodschappen kunnen hebben.

Inmiddels is het 17:15 en ik denk dat ik maar weer pasta ga maken. Ja, sorry, maar dat is gewoon makkelijk. Daarom noem ik het ook ‘basic bitch food’. We hebben geen oven, dus mijn andere bekende basic bitch gerecht, de diepvriespizza, gaat niet lukken. Ik wacht oprecht op mijn student Boni, de pas voor goedkoop eten, want ik haat koken. Als ik mijn Boni heb, ga ik gewoon kijken waar ik gratis kan eten en dat wordt het dan.

Watch “Fallen Angels” with Me!

“Fallen Angels” is a 1995 Hong Kong film directed by Wong Kar-wai.  It was the second film released at the beginning of his comeback, so to speak, in the film world.  In an interview Wong said that this film and “Chungking Express” (1994) are just two halves of a longer three hour film.

If you’re under the age of 18 i don’t recommend watching this film as there is like a lot of mature themes

Content warnings for the film: flashing lights, graphic depictions of violence, smoking, guns, blood, sexual content around 17:00 and goes on for a few minutes until about 19:30 and again from like 40:00 to about 44:30, self surgery at about 33:00 until 35:00

In the current lockdown when you can't leave home and where non-essential businesses such as haircut service are closed and you hair is growing out of control looking much like sprouting a clump of shrubs on your head, the only way is to DIY. Tired of eating either Gardenia or Massimo bread? Try traditional roti. Toasts made from traditional roti with kaya or butter spread are not only crunchy but also tasty.

This evening the PM announced on TV that the MCO will be extended a further 2 weeks starting from April 29 to May 12

Baked a vanilla lemon flavoured cake in the air fryer. 

Many thanks to the merchant for the fast service. Ordered the new Astro remote from Lazada yesterday and received the item today. Tested it immediately and it works fine.

Stewed fish paste cooked with mushrooms and baby corn and stir-fried siew bak choy

Dinner. Mapo tofu, steamed oyster sauce okra, egg omelette and black bean arrowroot ( fun kok ) soup 

Very soon I will be running out of paper to fold these disposable and colourful paper trash boxes. Presently supermarkets are not as generous as before in printing and distributing their product brochures to the public.

Day #33 Sun 2020/04/19

In the evening did 35 min and 1,500 counts of of Ping Shuai Gong (PSG) hand swinging and knee bending exercise. Burned 430 kCal of energy. Average heart rate: 125 bpm. Max heart rate: 152 bpm. Immediately following the PSG exercise I continued with 1 hour of jogging, clocking 4.23 km and 6,152 steps. Average heart rate is 115 bpm and max heart rate is 127 bpm and burned only 112 kCal of energy. Comparing the two, my heart worked harder and I burned more calories in the shorter time of 35 min just standing in one spot on the floor doing PSG than jogging 4.23 km round the car porch for 1 hour. In the past when I didn't do any heart beat and calorie measurements for PSG I always assumed that as jogging is more dynamic than static exercise, running will work my heart harder than just doing static physical exercise, which I now conclude is not the case.

Day #32 Sat 2020/04/18

Did Ping Shuai Gong 平甩功 (PSG ) exercise. Did 40 min of the stand-up exercise consisting of 1500 arm swings in combination with 300 knee bending. Despite its simplicity this is a powerful static exercise that works the heart more vigorously than jogging. For eg yesterday jogging round the car porch for about 6.6 km in 90 min my max heart rate was 122 bpm and I burned 173 kcal of energy. In comparison today just standing and doing PSG for 40 min on the spot, I clocked the the max heart rate of 143 bpm and burned 445 kCal of energy. 

Dinner. Ordered a large hand-stretched crust Hawaiian Chicken pizza from Pizza Hut and delivery from foodpanda. The pizza is so big that we can save 1/2 of it for breakfast tomorrow. 

We have not visited Ellie in her parent's house since  MCO was declared. We imagine Ellie should be an adorable 63-day old baby girl today

Mashed potato patties made from grilling a mix of flour, carrot, garlic, onion and minced chicken meat in an air fryer. Add a dessert of red bean soup to make a complete and satisfying lunch time meal

Malaysia today Fri recorded 69 new Covid-19 cases taking the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 5,251. This is the second time this week that the country has recorded only double-digit figures of new cases in a 24-hour span. I hope that this downward trend will continue as an indication that the stay-at-home MCO is working to bring down the Covid-19 infection rate I went out to the local grocery stores in PUJ 3 town centre this morning to buy one week's supply of meat, fish, vegetables, eggs, bread, and other groceries. Other than at the grocery stores where you could see some people there, the normally busy streets at this early morning hour are practically empty of people and traffic.

Today is the 29th day of the partial lockdown and the first day of MCO #3. So beside eating how do you spend your time at home in the morning on the first day of MCO #3? As for me, my wife had practically decided for me what to do. She grouching that the floor is "sticky" I pulled up the mop and started to rub the floor with water and detergent which obviously made her very happy afterward with the cleaning and disinfecting chore.

Tips voor de accu van je iPad, Android- en Windows-tablet

De accuduur van je tablet hangt af van hoe intensief je hem gebruikt. Feit is wel dat de accu steeds minder lang meegaat. Hoe verleng je de accuduur en hoe geef je een tabletaccu een lang leven?

Een gemiddelde tablet gaat in het begin nog enkele dagen mee voordat de accu leeg is. Maar accu's hebben een beperkte levensduur. Tijdens het gebruik verliezen ze geleidelijk hun capaciteit, waardoor de accuduur steeds korter wordt. De accu laten vervangen is een dure oplossing.

Zuinig accugebruik is dus verstandig. Via instellingen op je tablet kun je de accuduur verbeteren. Daarnaast verleng je de levensduur van de accu door je tablet op een juiste manier te gebruiken. 

Universele tips voor een langere accuduur

Tablets beschikken over allerlei functies die handig zijn, maar niet altijd nodig. Door de functies en toepassingen uit te zetten die je niet gebruikt, verleng je de accuduur. De grootste verbruikers op tablets zijn het scherm en de netwerkverbindingen.

Verlaag de schermhelderheid.

Stel een korte vergrendeltijd van het scherm in.

Schakel wifi, nfc, gps, bluetooth en eventueel 3G/4G uit als je dit niet gebruikt.

Haal e-mail handmatig of eens per uur binnen.

Kies voor een stilstaande achtergrond in plaats van een dynamische.

Gebruik de spaarstand om de accuduur te verlengen, indien aanwezig.

Leer welke apps veel energie gebruiken en beperk je gebruik. Bij veel tablets helpen de accu-instellingen je bij het identificeren van de grootste slurpers.

iOS (iPad)

Schakel het op de achtergrond verversen van apps uit. Je kunt dit uitschakelen voor enkele of alle apps via Instellingen > Algemeen > Ververs apps op achtergrond.

Schakel onnodige locatievoorzieningen uit. Je kunt voor elke app apart aangeven of deze je locatie mag opvragen via Instellingen > Privacy > Locatievoorzieningen. Laat de locatievoorzieningen aan staan voor de Zoek mijn iPhone/iPad functie, zodat je de iPad terug kunt vinden als je hem verliest.

Gebruik een adblocker in Safari, zoals Purify, Adblock Plus, Adguard of 1Blocker.

Schakel automatisch updaten van apps uit. Uitschakelen gaat via Instellingen > iTunes en App Store > Automatische downloads > Updates.

Schakel bestandsdeling via AirDrop uit als je het niet gebruikt. Ga naar Instellingen > Algemeen > AirDrop > Ontvangen uit.

Schakel alle onnodige notificaties uit in het berichtencentrum via Instellingen > Berichtgeving. Weiger onnodige push-notificaties als een app daar toestemming voor vraagt. 

Schakel reclametracking uit via Instellingen > Privacy > Reclame > Beperk reclametracking.

Schakel Deel iPad-analyse en Analysegegevens uit bij Instellingen > Privacy > Analyse.

Schakel de zoekfunctie Spotlight uit voor zaken waar je niet van plan bent om naar te zoeken, zoals Podcasts en Audioboeken. Je kunt dit per app doen via Instellingen > Siri en zoeken.

Schakel de bewegingseffecten ('parallaxeffecten') uit via Instellingen > Algemeen > Toegankelijkheid > Verminder beweging.

Schakel het automatisch oproepen van Siri uit bij Instellingen > Siri en zoeken > Vraag het aan Siri.

Android

Gebruik Android's snelmenu voor het in- en uitschakelen van verbindingen. Je roept het menu op door van boven je scherm naar beneden te vegen.

Verwijder ongebruikte widgets van je startscherm.

Beperk automatische synchronisatie. Dit gaat via Instellingen > Accounts > Menuknop > Gegevens automatisch synchroniseren (schakel dit uit). Ook het synchroniseren van je Google-account kun je beperken.

Schakel onnodige notificaties uit bij Instellingen > Meldingen. Doe dit voor elke app apart of ga naar Instellingen > Meldingen > tandwiel (rechtsboven) > Op het vergrendelingsscherm > Helemaal geen meldingen weergeven om notificaties voor alle apps op het vergrendelingsscherm uit te zetten.

Schakel apps uit die onnodig in de achtergrond draaien via Instellingen > Apps > Lijst Applicaties > Alle apps / Ingeschakeld.

Verwijder apps die je niet gebruikt van je tablet.

Sommige tablets hebben haptische feedback (vibratie bij toetsaanraking), maar dit kost relatief veel stroom. Schakel dit uit via Instellingen > Geluid & vibratie > Trillen bij Tikken. Je kunt in dit scherm ook de aanraakgeluiden uitzetten, al zal dit minder impact op de batterij hebben. Kun je het niet vinden? Dan staat het mogelijk bij Instellingen > Talen en invoer / Taal en toetsenbord. Doorgaans staat het onder Touch Input of Toetsenborden en Invoermethoden.

Windows 10

Zoeken naar de juiste instellingen is bij Windows eenvoudig. Ga naar de zoekfunctie door op het vergrootglas linksonder op de taakbalk te drukken. Daar tik je vervolgens de instelling die je nodig hebt, zoals ‘Energiebeheer’.

Verander van energieschema bij Energiebeheer of stel handmatig besparende maatregelen in, zoals het uitzetten van de wifi-verbinding in de slaapstand.

Maak gebruik van de sluimerstand in plaats van de slaapstand in Energiebeheer.

Zet het onderdeel Batterijbesparing aan.

Koppel eventueel aangesloten apparaten los die je niet gebruikt en die geen eigen voeding hebben, zoals een muis of een toetsenbord.

Schakel apps uit die je op dat moment niet nodig hebt.

In het Actiecentrum (rechtsonder op de taakbalk) zijn enkele gegroepeerde instellingen die je batterijduur verbeteren, zoals het uitzetten van bluetooth.

Gebruik geen screensaver maar de standaardinstelling die je scherm automatisch uitzet na een bepaalde tijd.

Tips om de levensduur van de accu te verlengen

Gebruik de tablet niet tijdens het opladen.

Zet de tablet uit als je deze niet gebruikt voor een langere periode.

Voorkom oververhitting, leg je tablet nooit weg op zonnige plekken.

Gedeeltelijk opladen is beter dan helemaal vanaf 0% moeten opladen. Diepontlading is namelijk slecht voor de accu.

Alleen als je tablet verkeerd aangeeft hoeveel lading de accu nog over heeft, is het aan te raden om hem 1x volledig op te laden en daarna 1x te ontladen. Doe dit kalibreren niet te vaak: eens in de 2-3 maanden is voldoende.

Er zijn aanwijzingen dat het beter is om je tablet /smartphone niet naar 100% op te laden maar naar hooguit 80%, vanwege een lagere spanning in de accucellen.

Gebruik je de tablet een aantal weken of maanden niet? Leg hem dan weg op een koele en droge plek en met een acculading van zo'n 40-50%. Dan gaat hij het minst snel achteruit.

Garantie en repareren

Tabletfabrikanten geven doorgaans 6 maanden fabrieksgarantie op de accu. Gaat hij in die tijd stuk? Dan zal de fabrikant de accu vervangen. De fabrieksgarantie op de tablet is meestal 2, maar soms 1 jaar. Als de accu het daarna begeeft, kun je hem vrijwel onmogelijk zelf vervangen. Schakel daarvoor de fabrikant of een reparatiebedrijf in, maar houd rekening met een fors prijskaartje van minimaal €90.

Externe accu

Als je vaak onderweg bent of gewoon niet genoeg hebt aan de accu van je tablet, dan kun je ook een losse accu kopen. Met een losse accu of 'powerbank' verleng je eenvoudig de accuduur van je tablet zonder stopcontact. Je kunt ze makkelijk meenemen omdat ze vaak niet groter zijn dan een smartphone. Is dit wat voor jou? Zoek dan naar ‘power banks’ in de winkel en let op dat jouw tablet ondersteund wordt. Ze zijn niet allemaal hetzelfde: zo variëren ze in capaciteit (weergegeven in mAh), oplaadsnelheid en het aantal aansluitingen.

Day 51: Beach and Business.

In the morning, I was awoken bay Hiza: "Breakfast is ready!" It was light. It was also only 6.30am. I complained of the early start but learnt it was for good reason- once the sun was up it was going to be HOT. I emerged from my cocoon and wiped by bleary eyes in the bright daylight to the sound of sizzling eggs. Ade was already up, preparing spicy sardine and egg toasted sandwiches on the little gas stove. I chirped up at the smell of food and had some sunny side up eggs (the only way) with my sardines, followed by pan mee which Ade cooked with the rest of the sardines and pak choi. It was a very tasty start to the day! Pegs were pulled out of the earth, poles were dismantled and the tents were folded up into their carrier bags. All that remained of our visit was the black ash from the campfire the night before. Hiza drove us down to the beach- it was quiet, free of people, had white sand and blue water. In fact, it was better than the beach I had spent the day on in Bali! So excited to get in the water, Sassi and I changed and made it slowly in as the sea was was so cold. Eventually I was able to swim, careful to stay afloat due to the rocky sea bed. The sea was refreshing and cooling on such a hot day. We lay on the beach for a while (in the shade or I'd be a lobster) and had a fresh coconut to drink from Hiza's cousin's shop. As this area was his home, he knew or was related to pretty much everyone around. Late morning, we left the beach and began the drive back home. It was around midday that we stopped for lunch just outside of Yogya for toprak Jakarta. They all raved about this place, and had even called up the vendor to ensure he was in business for out arrival. The dish was special because of the freshly made peanut sauce (smashed fried peanuts, garlic, chilli, palm sugar, salt and water) which was topped with cut up steamed rice cake, rice noodles, beansprouts, krupuk and a drizzle of kecap manis. I asked the others about the use of peanut sauce in a lot of Indonesian dishes- to me it was the same as the peanut sate sauce, the sauce in the gado gado or lotek. Apparently it wasn't- just a small difference in ingredient made it a totally different sauce. Educated. We left Sassi back home to rest and stopped at my request at a speciality coffee shop which was on my list (this is my kind of holiday research). Rang Seduh was a crisp, clean and modern store with a black Darth Vader espresso machine staring back at me when I entered. The guy serving was sweet and paid us great attention on service. I opted for something sweet: a shot of espresso with milk and Palm sugar over ice. The balance was perfect for me, and not too sweet. Back at home, I was relieved to shower off the sticky sea water and sun cream, and relax for the afternoon. I spent the time chatting to Hiza and his younger brother who didn't speak much English, but was able to get the gist of what we were saying. My eyes were closing, and I had to be woken to make my evening appointment. At dinner time, Hiza dropped me off to meet a friend, Ezza, who worked in the food business in Jogya. We had found each other via that powerful tool Instagram and shared a lot of similar a interests and passions. Her restaurant of choice was SS Sambal- 33 different types of sambal were on the menu as well as lots of small dishes and rice to pair alongside. We ended up ordering far too much: fried eggplant, chicken, calamari, mushroom, tempe, trancam (veggies in shredded coconut), stir fried water spinach, a mango sambal and another one which was so so spicy. My mouth was on fire and I ordered a glass of water after I had drained my soursop juice, followed by yet another. Ezza and I exchanged ideas and spent a few hours together before Hiza arrived to pick me up again. As we sailed home in the night on the back of his bike, I did a double-take becuase we passed another speciality coffee shop which was on my list: Epic Coffee. Shouting quickly into his ear if we could turn back, we did a sneaky U-turn on the road and two minutes later were inside the massive coffee/furniture store, sitting in the outdoor garden area on a squishy sofa. I was very happy at my find. Taking lead, I ordered H an espresso roast I thought he would like (sweet, chocolate, brown sugar) while I had one with notes of clove, plum and caramel. Our long blacks were very luxurious and a perfect after-dinner treat. We sat there sipping and brainstorming ideas for a potential future business. One can dream. Back home, I was mentally preparing myself for having to get up at 2.45am in order to be in town at 3.30am for a sunrise trip to one of the 7 Wonders of the World: Borobudur. A combination of late-night caffeine and very spicy food had me tripping to the bathroom back and forth several times, and I contemplated having no sleep at all. At around 12.30am, I think I finally closed my eyes, my mind still buzzing from excitement (and probably caffeine).

De gemakkelijke manier om een eigen applicatie te bouwen

20 top applicatiemakers waar mee je zelf je eigen app kunt  creëren, zonder een regel code te hoeven schrijven!

Het bouwen van een simpele website is vandaag de dag eigenlijk geen echt probleem meer. Maar kunnen we hetzelfde beweren als we het over het bouwen van een app hebben? 

Is het tegenwoordig mogelijk om een mobiele applicatie te maken zonder enige kennis van programmeertalen?

De vrouw van een collega had al langere tijd een idee om een app voor haar mobiel te maken van haar website. Onze redactie heeft dit idee gebruik gemaakt om een aantal van de beschikbare applicatiemakers te testen. Het bleek dat er een ruim aanbod bestaat van dergelijke diensten en we hadden dan al snel meer dan 25 opgespoord.

Mobiele applicatiebouwers in minder dan 2 minuten

Lang niet alle applicaties zijn apps, oftewel je hebt apps… en apps

De meeste app makers die we getest hebben bieden twee soorten applicaties.

Een Progressive Web App (PWA – een app die werkt voor iedereen, ongeacht de browser die gebruikt wordt) is de mobielvriendelijke versie van een website. Je opent het in een webbrowser op desktopcomputers, ipads en telefoons. Ze zijn zo ontworpen dat je de meeste functies krijgt die je van native applicaties ook krijgt zoals, bijvoorbeeld, e-commerce, een gebruikers login, het kunnen posten van commentaar, enzovoort…

Als we het over native apps hebben, het zijn die apps die gewild zijn door de meeste consumenten willen. Native apps zijn te verkrijgen uit de App Store van Apple en van de Google Play Store. Native apps laten je de handige kleine push-berichten sturen die heel weinig mensen weten te deactiveren.

Je kan je eigen PWA app maken voor ongeveer tien tot twintig euro per 30 dagen, een native applicatie maken is minder portefeuillevriendelijk. Veel aanbieders zullen je 40 à 60 euro per maand vragen om het in het Android ecosysteem te laten vermelden en vragen vaak twee keer zoveel voor de Apple store.

Wat we ontdekt hebben, is een opwindende markt die nog in een vroeg stadium zit. Voor de toekomst verwachten we veel, veel meer. Onze favoriete applicatiemakers zijn voor nu de volgende:

Swiftic

Swiftic is op gericht in het jaar 2010 op Israël grondgebied en beweert meer dan 1 miljoen applicaties te ondersteunen wereldwijd. Dit maakt het een hele grote vis in de app vijver.

Swiftic biedt een uitgebreide selectie van bouwblokken, zoals een loyaliteitskaartfunctie, de integratie van een afsprakenplan, e-commerce, beoordelingen over activiteiten en gebruikers. In de galerij van hun applicaties zijn de meeste voorbeelden restaurants, muziekbanden en andere bedrijven die zich bezig houden met het organiseren van evenementen

Er is sinds kort een nieuwe prijsstructuur bekendgemaakt. Ze hebben nu maar een niveau met respectievelijk een maandelijkse (46 euro), een jaarlijkse (39 euro p.m.) of een tweejaarlijkse (33 euro p.m.) betalingsoptie.

Ze geven ook een gedurfde succesgarantie van zes maanden. Wat inhoud dat je Swiftic je een half jaar kosteloos gebruik laat maken van hun diensten zo lang jij nog een inkomsten hebt.

We hebben een aantal sjablonen gevonden die gecombineerd kunnen met 6 navigatiestijlen. Zowel kleuren als de gebruikte iconenen en natuurlijk de achtergrond kun je aanpassen aan uw eigen illustraties.

Pluspunten: de editor zit goed in elkaar en is makkelijk te gebruiken. Hun functies zijn zeer uitgebreid en ook hun ontwerpen ongetwijfeld een pluspunt. En de succesgarantie is natuurlijk zeer geruststellend.

Minpunten: hun marketing. Als je eenmaal geregistreerd bent, krijg je elke dag, een week lang, promotionele mails. Update: Swiftic heeft ons recentelijk laten weten dat ze hun emailmarketing aan het aanpassen zijn…

  Appy Pie

Ook Appy Pie, uit India, beweert s’ wereld snelst groeiende applicatiemaker te zijn. Zulke claims zijn moeilijk te testen, maar de populariteit van Appy Pie lijkt, in bepaalde delen van de wereld, inderdaad snel stijgend.

Appy Pie heeft een relatief unieke gratis prijsoptie die beginners zou kunnen aanspreken. Maar, het moet gezegd worden, deze optie zal alleen voor een mobiele website gelden.

Om zowel een iOS of Android app te krijgen zal je een hoger prijsplan moeten kiezen en dan zit je ongeveer in lijn met de prijs van andere applicatiemakers.

Het sterkste punt van Appy Pie zijn de unieke functies. Ze bieden echt veel meer dan de andere applicatiemakers. Bijvoorbeeld, je kan in-app aankopen toevoegen, databases koppelen, e-boeken (ebooks) uploaden en zelfs je eigen dating applicatie maken!

Hou er rekening mee dat veel van deze functies gewoon integraties zijn en je moet soms andere accounts instellen om ze te laten werken. Het gemis aan gedetailleerde handleidingen maakt dit behoorlijk complex.

Pluspunten: interessante niche functies, veel integratie, vrij eenvoudig te gebruiken.

Minpunten: hun pictogrammen en sjablonen zijn slecht ontworpen en ze doen applicaties amateuristisch lijken. Soms geen ondersteuning.

  De GameSalad app maker

  AppMakr

AppMakr komt uit Singapore en zegt te hebben bijgedragen aan de maak van bijna 2 miljoen applicaties. Wat ons opvalt is hun claim dat ze een app in minder dan 25 minuten kunnen maken en ook hun prijzenpagina.

Ze hebben een gratis abonnement, een plan van 1 euro per maand en eentje van 12 euro per maand. Hiermee zijn ze de best betaalbare applicatiemakers op de markt.

Na onze registratie, werden we gelijk behoorlijk teleurgesteld. Hun editor is visueel echt geen ‘state-of-the-art’. Het ziet gedateerd uit en het is duidelijk dat er al een paar jaar niets aan gedaan is.

Eerlijkheidshalve, moet gezegd worden dat ze veel bouwstenen bieden en dat het basisontwerp van de applicatie naar wens kan wordne veranderd. Toch, vergeleken met hun stijlvollere concurrenten, vonden we het niet zo leuk om met dit product te werken.

Pluspunten: betaalbare prijzen

Minpunten: hun editor en design moeten nodig onder handen worden genomen.

  GoodBarber

GoodBarber, de app maker met de interessantste naam, komt van Corsica een Frans eiland en bevat prachtige, indrukwekkende thema’s.

Het biedt, bovendien, zeer geavanceerde functies, zoals sociale netwerken, chatten, Geofencing (een functie dat het Global Positioning System (gps) of radiofrequentie-identificatie (RFID) gebruikt om geografische grenzen te definiëren) en iBeacons (hardware-zenders, meestal bakens genoemd, Bluetooth-apparaten met lage energie.

Deze technologie stelt smartphones, tablets en andere apparaten in staat om acties uit te voeren in de nabijheid van een iBeacon). Je hebt een native Android-applicatie al voor 26 euro per maand.

Voeg je een native iOS app toe en dat kost je 78 euro per maand, altijd inclusief een indrukwekkende Progressive Web App. Ze kunnen een uitgebreide showcase tonen van alle apps die met hun systeem zijn gemaakt.

Pluspunten: de sjablonen van GoodBarber zijn mooi en je betaald een redelijke prijs voor native applicaties. Dit programma is zeer flexibel en heeft geavanceerde functies.

Minpunten: ze hebben geen eigen online winkel, maar een koppeling naar onderandere Shopify, Amazon en Etsy is inbegrepen.

  BuildFire

De website van BuildFire is goed ontworpen. Er valt weinig informatie te lezen over dit relateif nieuwe bedrijf, maar BuildFire vermeldt dat dertigduizen consumten en bedrijven meer of min gebruik maken van hun pakket.

Je kan kiezen tussen een gratis abonnement en het Premium abonnement (€ 39,50 per 30 dagen).

  Mobincube

Mobincube presenteert zich als de websitebouwer voor iedereen. En iedereen kan en moet in staat zijn om een applicatie te maken en ook geld verdienen met Admob.

En zo als altijd Voordat er wat valt te verdienen, zal er eerst wat uitgeven moeten worden, maar niet veel want Mobincube is zeer betaalbaar. Ze bieden een gratis abonnement, maar hun goedkoopste advertentievrije abonnement kost 8 euro.

Verrassend genoeg, al hun prijsplannen laten je native te werk gaan, met andere woorden je kunt je creatie naar alle bekende app stores uploaden.

Bij het gebruik van de editor, hadden we het gevoel dat het hier over een bètaversie gaat. Om bepaalde functies te gebruiken moesten we weleens van browser wisselen.

Wat ze bieden ziet er zeer krachtig uit en je kan complexe pagina’s aanmaken zoals, bijvoorbeeld, een op SQLite gebaseerde databank te maken om de gegevens van een server in te voeren.

Eerlijkheidshalve hebben we niet echt uitgezocht hoe dit te werk gaat, we denken dat het, voor wat betreft de gebruiksvriendelijkheid, voor verbetering vatbaar is.

Geen andere aanbieder heeft de mogelijkheid om een gratis applicatie te bouwen. Ook hun betaalde plannen zij zeer betaalbaar.

Pluspunten: prijzen zijn competitief en je hebt veel sjablonen om uit te kiezen

Minpunten: kleine technische problemen moeten worden aangepakt. De sjablonen kunnen een beetje restrictief werken.

  Siberian CMS

Siberian, een applicatiemaker die ook uit Frankrijk komt, bezit twee unieke functies. Je krijgt de volledige broncode van de app, maar je moet hun platform op je eigen domain installeren. Het is een kleine moeite, want je kan hiermee je app helemaal gratis maken!

Bij hen kan je ook veel extra modules kopen en ze zullen ook, tegen betaling, het platform voor je installeren (59 euro). De meeste kosten zijn eenmalig en dit maakt ze erg goedkoop zeker vergeleken met sommige maandelijkse abonnementsplannen.

Voor € 399 kan je een multiple app versie (voor meerdere apps dus) kopen waarmee je onbeperkt applicaties kan maken. Resellers (wederverkopers) betalen € 799 als ze het platform zelf hosten of € 149 per maand als het gehost wordt door dit Frans bedrijf.

De ontwerpen waar je mee begint zijn niet echt opwindend, maar je kan veel aanpassen en je beschikt over veel verschillende lay-outs. We waren echt onder de indruk van de vele functies, inclusief de onbeperkte push meldingen, m-commerce (elektronische transactie via de mobiele telefoon) en meer.

Dit kost wel wat technische inspanning, maar als je een beetje web hosting begrijpt, zal je geen problemen hebben in de omgang met Siberian.

Pluspunten: Met hun gratis versie kan je behoorlijk ver gaan en een zeer professionele app bouwen.

Minpunten: soms is de editor een beetje onhandig

Deze snelle, Cloud gebaseerd platform voor applicaties is een technisch lingo. Als je dat niet erg vindt of zelfs omarmt, zou Appery je favoriete product kunnen worden.

Al met als is dit product een infrastructuur voor applicaties dan een applicatiemaker voor de eindgebruiker.

  Shoutem

Shoutem werd gestard in het jaar 2011en heeft door de tijd heen een zeer uitgebreid systeem ontwikkeld. Het platform is in de nieuwste versie volledig bijgewerkt en is heel fijn in gebruik.

Shoutem biedt gestroomlijnde sjablonen en veel aanpassingsmogelijkheden en je kan ermee zeer goed uitziende applicaties bouwen. Ook de beschikbare functies zijn goed en een geweldige keuze voor evenementen-applicaties en ook voor gebruikersgroepen dankzij hun Social Wall, waar gebruikers meningen en foto’s kunnen delen.

Shoutem is niet het duurste platform, maar ook niet het goedkoopste. Van af € 40 per maand (basisplan) ben je al in bussniss. Wil je publiceren naar Apple moet je minstens € 65 betalen (geavanceerd plan).

Ze gaan ook de broncode openbaar maken voor ontwikkelaars in de hoop dat deze nieuwe extensies en functies zullen bouwen. Enkele daarvan ontbreken op dit moment.

Pluspunten: ontwerpen, gebruikerservaring en sjablonen

Minpunten: veel meer toekomstige functies

  Mobile – Roadie

Het bedrijf Mobile – Roadie valt onder de grote spelers op deze markt en presenteert met trots een aantal van zijn bekende klanten. Disney en Universal Pictures hebben o.a. hun platform gebruikt om applicaties te maken.

Dit bedrijf is duidelijk gefocust op het MKB en proffesionals. Zijn prijzen variëren van € 121 (kernactiviteiten) tot het behoorlijk bedrag van € 650 (Pro). Wat we vooral mooi vinden zijn hun ontwerpopties, met geweldige sjablonen en de talrijke mogelijkheden de sjablonen naar wens te veranderen.

Ze hebben een paar leuke community functies, zoals chatrooms en een fanclub die ideaal zijn voor artiesten. Musici gaan ook zeker de soepele integratie van de muziekspeler zeker waarderen.

Er zijn meer geavanceerde functies beschikbaar, zoals geo-targeting (geografische lokalisatie) voor je inhoud, bijvoorbeeld. Deze applicatiemaker heeft een zeer brede functiebereik en vraagt meer tijd dan de meeste anderen om het platform door te krijgen.

Pluspunten: Elegante sjablonen met uitgebreide aanpassingsmogelijkheden. Over het geheel bekeken, zijn al hun functies zeer geavanceerd.

Minpunten: prijsbepaling sowieso want het is nu onbetaalbaar voor de kleine man. De gebruikersinterface mag best wat intuïtiever worden gemaakt. We hadden zelf heel wat tijd nodig om de editor beter te leren kennen.

MobAppCreator is een relatief nieuw Argentijns bedrijf en is gericht op native applicaties. Ze beweren aan 130.000 applicaties te hebben geholpen, maar ze komen wat verdacht over, zonder een ‘Over ons” pagina op hun site.

Gebruikers van MobAppCreator beschikken niet over zoveel sjablonen als met andere applicatiemakers, maar hun editor is zeer gebruikersvriendelijk, met een aantal modules die duidelijk zijn uitgelegd, zo zelf een leek het begrijps.

Een leuke extra is de schuivende iPhone, aan de zijkant, die een bijgewerkte, klikbare weergave toont van je applicatie en die bij elke wijziging wordt vernieuwd. We zijn een paar problemen tegengekomen in het design van de lay-out. Toen we enkele elementen van de module gingen wijzigen, moesten we opnieuw beginnen om het te resetten.

Je kan de service gratis 14 dagen op proef en het is volledig functioneel. Daarna heb je vier prijsplannen, Mini (€ 6,58 p.m.), Basic (€ 16,58 p.m.) Pro (€ 58,25 p.m.) en Advanced (€ 124,92 p.m.). Hun prijzen zijn niet echt veel anders dan de concurrenten, maar ze zouden nog meer componenten beschikbaar moeten maken voor dat geld.

Pluspunten: de tool is vrij gemakkelijk in gebruik en ze hebben een eigen online module store beschikbaar voor de Zuid Amerikaanse markt.

Minpunten: meer sjablonen zouden welkom zijn en ze zouden een trail versie kunnen bieden, met mindere opties, die niet in de tijd beperkt is.

  AppInstitute

AppInstitute is de grootste applicatiemaker in het Verenigd Koningrijk en heeft verschillende startup prijzen gewonnen. Hun e-commerce functies zijn geweldig, met catalogusmenu’s en loyaliteitsopties die makkelijk gepersonaliseerd worden. Bovendien, kan je alle nodige betalingen verrichten zonder de applicatie te verlaten.

AppInstitute biedt een geweldige boekingsfunctie, krachtiger dan het lijkt. Daarmee kan je afspraakreserveringen doen en ook evenementen creëren met video en andere soorten inhoud.

Wat de prijs betreft, kost een native iPhone of Android app 22 euro per maand, pushmeldingen (notifications) en applicatie analyse zijn inbegrepen.

Pluspunten: als je ze goed bekijkt zijn sommige functies verrassend krachtig

Minpunten: te weinig opties voor integratie binnen de backend (backend – deel van het programma dat onzichtbaar is voor de gebruiker)

Zijn naam is niet voor niets want AppMachine automatiseert zo veel mogelijk de saaie processen. Als je de URL van je website invoert, zal AppMachine alle gegevens importeren die nuttig wordt gevonden voor je app. Je kan indien gewenst Twitter, Facebook, RSS en ook afbeeldingen importeren. Dit is echt uniek en best handig!

De editor van dit Nederlands bedrijf is visueel zeer indrukwekkend en toch niet overweldigend. We vonden erg leuk hun idee om Lego bouwstenen te gebruiken.

AppMachine is een van de beste applicatiemakers die we gezien hebben. Hoewel niet alle gebruikersinterfaces meteen intuïtief waren, geloven we dat AppMachine het potentieel heeft om een van de beste applicatiemakers te zijn.

Er zijn momenteel twee prijsplannen, Plus (€ 39,50 per maand) en Pro (€ 55 per maand).

Ze beweren dat een op de twintig bestande apps op Bizness Apps draait. Dit bedrijf uit Californië is in 2010 begonnen en heft sindsdien geholpen om meer dan 300.000 applicaties uit te brengen.

Wil je native iOS of Android apps gaan maken, kies dan voor hun mobiele apps abonnement die 80 euro per maand kost. De structuur van de editor is zeer duidelijk en heeft grote indruk op ons gemaakt.

Pluspunten: veel integraties van derden, inclusief methodes om leads te vangen.

Minpunten: visueel kan het beter, we hadden snellere resultaten met andere applicatiemakers..

Bizness Apps introductie

  App Yourself

App Yourself is in 2011 begonnen en zijn gebruikers kunnen applicaties creeren die op Android, iOS, Windows Phone en ook in puur HTML5 werken. Ze beloven meer te leveren dan een mobiele app.

In tegenstelling tot andere applicatiemakers, heb je ook de beschikking om een responsive website maken die automatisch de inhoud van uw applicatie zal synchroniseren. Een functie die zich momenteel in open bètastadium bevindt

Er zijn vier prijsplannen, Web Only (5 euro), Basisplan (15 euro) Premium (30 euro) en Business (50 plus 200 euro setup kosten). App Yourself kan je gratis uitproberen zolang je maar wenst. Om je gemaakte app bij de app stores in te dienen moet je op zijn minst in het basisplan zitten.

App Yourself omvat functies zoals e-commerce, reserveringssystemen voor restaurants dat loopt via Resmio en ook Open Table met klantenkaarten plus fotogalerijen en ook de gebruikelijke nieuwsfeeds natuurlijk.

Pluspunten: interface is goed gestructureerd en zeer gebruiksvriendelijk. Ze beschikken over een eigen online winkelmodule en, toen we dat nodig hadden, reageerde de klantenondersteuning vrij snel. Via hun Connect applicatie kan je ook onderweg je app bijwerken.

Minpunten: App Yourself heeft haar roots in Duitsland liggen wat the herlijden is aan het feit dat sommige menu items nog niet volledig zijn vertaald. Over het algemeen is dit geen groot probleem, maar het zou fijn zijn als het wordt aangepakt.

  Apps Builder

AppsBuilder is een applicatiemaker uit Italië, beschikt over een drag and drop editor (slepen en neerzetten) en heeft al meer dan 500.000 applicaties tot leven gebracht.

Zodra je de een beetje verwarrende gratis proefversie of de gratis account gebruikt, zal je zien dat zowel het dashboard als als de builder er gebruiks vriendelijk zijn.

Je kan heel makkelijk afbeeldingen en logo’s toevoegen. Nadat je een afbeelding op een pagina hebt neergezet, kan je deze ook eenvoudig schalen en moeiteloos effecten toevoegen.

Bovendien, biedt AppsBuilder veel componeten aan die geplaats kunnen worden in de pagina’s. Het zijn modules zoals, bijvoorbeeld, video,webstore, landkaarten, calculators en loyaliteitstools.

Er zijn ook modules voor alle bekende sociale netwerken en tenminste 5 componenten voor restaurants, voor elk wat wils dus. Ook heel handig is een de aparte sectie met sjablonen, e-books, artikelen en als klap op de vuur pijl casestudy’s die je kostenloos kan in zien.

AppsBuilder heeft drie prijsplannen, Bronze (€ 7 per maand), Silver (€ 18 per maand) en Gold (€ 29 per maand). Wederverkopers betalen € 36 per maand. Om native Android en of iOS applicaties te kunnen maken, heb je op zijn minst het Silver pakket nodig.

Pluspunten: makkelijk navigeren in de editor, intuïtieve beeldbewerking en uistekende klantenondersteuning.

Minpunten: ze beschikken over een gratis account, maar de toegang is moeilijk in verband met beperkte taalopties.
