Oh my GOD, yes!!! I've literally been talking about this with my husband and some friends!!! Posted about it last week, and then I was just saying today that I feel like it's a distinct possibility that his arc will be to go evil. I was thinking about like Elder Cleric Quintus and his "we'll take over and you can be my knight" , and how it could be a real Palpatine + Vader vibe.
It's been ON MY MIND, and I am so SO glad someone else is seeing the possibilities there.
Then I saw this interview and GOT TO THINKING.
Walton's not WRONG, and that could fit in with the Season 1 arcs of course. BUT.
THE LOOK ON AARON'S FACE Seems like a MAN WHO KNOWS SOMETHING WE DON'T Is he just excited for s01? POSSIBLY. But that's maybe the face I would make if I knew I was going to be a villain in the next season. Hahahahaha he said 😈
I just want twist villain Maximus SO SO BADLY, and I'm just absolutely so excited you posted about this!!!! I want him to be a cool badass twist villain in powersuit armour so badly, like... it would plus his coolness up so much and be a genuinely fun little twist I think. Just thematically, as you mentioned, it's interesting if Cooper is on a redemption arc, and Max is on a corruption arc, while Lucy lies in the middle, the "Golden Rule" center.
Does Max give anyone else major twist villain vibes???
Okay I haven't talked about Max much yet, but I think it's really funny to see people talking about him like he's just this sweet innocent cinnamon roll when my read on his character was the COMPLETE opposite.
I mean yes, he seems very sweet. He's very soft spoken. Naive in a way like Lucy, but not as much. Kinda vulnerable. Got a killer smile. And some of the moments with him and Lucy are pretty adorable. But damn if he doesn't have a DARK side!
Like I've heard people say that Max is stupid or that Aaron Moten's acting is bad, but hell no. Aaron Moten sold me on his acting during the interrogation scene. Max was scared shitless and I FELT that. I think Max was meant to be played as a character who lacks understanding about certain things and seems disconnected from people due to both being brought up in basically a cult and having an inherent lack of empathy.
You think about the fact that he admitted he wanted Dane to get hurt, someone who's supposed to be his best friend. How he coldly sat there and watched Titus die. And before that stood there and watched him get mauled by a bear, almost like he was fascinated by it and wanted to see what was gonna happen. The fact that he tried to kill Thaddeus the moment he became a threat, even though the two of them had appeared to have bonded and developed a genuine friendship. And let's not forget he was willing to let all of Vault 4 get plunged into darkness just so he could keep playing with his power armor.
Max wants to be a knight, he wants to be a hero. And I think he tells himself he wants it for the right reasons, but I think what he REALLY wants is power and recognition. Which is really what every (okay maybe not every, but a lot) good villain wants, right? Because at the end of the day Max wants what Max wants. He's selfish, even though he doesn't think he is.
And sure, he's nice to Lucy. And he went balls to the wall to save her when he thought Vault 4 was gonna execute her. But she's a pretty girl who helped him and offered him a safe home. When she gave him the proposition that if she helped him bring back the head, he would have the Brotherhood lend her some knights to save her dad, he KNEW he couldn't make that promise. But he made the deal anyway. So he doesn't REALLY care about her or what she wants.
And that blank stare he gets when he gets mad? ACTUALLY terrifying. The guy's got serious psychopath vibes. Literal anti-social personality disorder, if you ask me. In fact the first thing I thought about when Max let Titus die is this kids going to end up going to the dark side lol.
And I think that would work really well thematically if they plan on giving The Ghoul a redemption arc beside it. There are so many parallels between Lucy and The Ghoul, and they have such a strong connection to the beginning when the bombs dropped. I get that Max is there to represent the Brotherhood and he's from Shady Sands, the town Hank destroyed, but it felt weird that he didn't seem to be AS important in the grand scheme of things compared to Cooper and Lucy.
But if Max turned out to be a badass twist villain to thematically contrast Cooper's redemption arc, while Lucy remains steadfast to her commitment to goodness and the golden rule I feel like that would really round it out. It would make sense if you consider a lot of people have pointed out that Lucy, Cooper and Max all seem to represent different play styles and different moral alignments. And I think it'd be pretty crazy if the writers of the show set out to make it seem like Ghoul is a bad guy and Max is a good guy, but then it ended up being the opposite.
I mean, there are definitely hints all over the show that The Ghoul isn't as bad as he may seem. And Max has already done some pretty messed up stuff, so I'd say the possibility is totally there, and I'd be here for it!
Who's with me???
#maximus fallout#fallout#sagegarnish posts#maximus please#i want him to be a naughty man#i want a VILLAIN MONOLOGUE#can you IMAGINE?#I want him to reach out a hand to Lucy and ask her to join him

Hydra Trash Party Fanwork Recs
For the @tenyearsoftrash event. (Throwing this together quickly and life is getting in the way, so I may add more as the event goes on.)
—
Power Corrupts
by SageGarnish Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers, Peggy Carter/Steve Rogers Summary: Set post-Endgame, Steve Rogers is definitely in love with Bucky, but he's decided it can never be. When he returns to 1948, he marries Peggy, but is haunted by the knowledge that Bucky is currently The Winter Soldier, and has 70 years of suffering ahead. Steve knows he shouldn't damage the timeline with large changes, so he decides to start small. Surely it would be okay to simply infiltrate HYDRA, become Bucky's handler and make his suffering that much less. But he's not prepared for the allure of being in control of Bucky, nor of being able to make him orgasm with a command. My notes: A fantastic WIP that I will forever hold out hope may continue someday. But if not, just imagining where this goes does so much for me.
tear me to pieces, skin to bone (hello, welcome home)
by voxofthevoid Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers Summary: This isnt his Steve. This isn’t Captain America, and this sure as fuck isn’t the little guy from Brooklyn who was too dumb not to run away from a fight. This isn’t the Winter Soldier either, Hydra’s mindless machine. Whatever came out of all that, of the man who was all of those at some point in his life—Bucky’s not sure if it’s someone he wants to know. But it’s Steve. Steve reaches out, one bear paw of a hand reaching for Bucky’s face. Bucky grits his teeth and forces himself not to flinch. He’s expecting another blow, maybe fingers pushing into his mouth, but what he gets is a finger tracing the cleft in his chin—the spot his Steve used to love to kiss. Bucky shivers at the gentle touch, caught off guard and floundering. He’s only more unsettled when Steve’s hand settles on his cheek, big enough to cradle the entire side of Bucky’s face.“Pretty boy,” Steve murmurs. “Should I keep you?” - Captain America is sent to hunt down a ghost. My notes: HTP-adjacent, role-reversal
A History of Birds
by OddityBoddity Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers Summary: "You look like him," Bucky says. No prompting, no nothing. He just speaks, like this is a thing he does. "What?" Steve asks. He didn’t really hear it, too stunned by the fact that words were coming out of Bucky’s mouth to understand their meaning. "You look like him. So did Pierce." His voice is soft, gravelly from disuse. "Is that why they picked you?" Steve’s heart plunges like an elevator with the cables cut. “Buck, it is me.” The hard line of Bucky’s mouth softens just a little. “Sure,” he says.
End of the Line
by OddityBoddity Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes/Alexander Pierce Summary: Alexander Pierce is an absolute horror of a human being and this is a troubling fic.
Home To Me (what makes it right is an unknown thing)
by Ravening for Violencio Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes/Helmut Zemo, Heike Zemo/Helmut Zemo, James "Bucky" Barnes/Heike Zemo/Helmut Zemo, James "Bucky" Barnes/Heinrich Zemo (minor), Helmut Zemo/Original Male Character (minor) Summary: Helmut Zemo grows up with the Winter Soldier by his side.
Tata brought the Winter Soldier home for the first time when Helmut was five years old. They had hounds on the estate, of course. Tata kept several breeds of hunting dogs in the kennel; had taken Helmut with him a handful of times to course hare in the spring and shoot pheasant in autumn. He’d let Helmut chase after the dogs as they’d crunched through the underbrush and trotted back with their prey, limp and bloodied, dutifully clasped in their jaws. Helmut was familiar with his tata’s pets, but none were as obedient as the Winter Soldier.
cover me in sweet gasoline
by ghostlygun Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers, James "Bucky" Barnes/Hydra Agents Summary: It’s just Steve. You can hear him setting down the shield by the coat rack. It looks different now; they’ve repainted it in black and red, just like his uniform. He’s no longer Captain America. All of this feels wrong, and sometimes you can’t even stand his touch, but then he smiles at you, a warm, soft smile, and all your doubts melt away.
What'd I Miss?
by SkadiLaughedFirst, Wish_I_Had_A_Tail Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes & Brock Rumlow, James "Bucky" Barnes & Steve Rogers, Steve Rogers & Brock Rumlow, Steve Rogers & Sam Wilson, James "Bucky" Barnes & Steve Rogers & Sam Wilson, Jack Rollins & Brock Rumlow, Clint Barton & Natasha Romanov Summary: Rumlow's on his way back from a mission. He's tired and pissed off, and the whole thing was a pain in the ass, especially 'cause it meant he had to be out of the country while Insight was going down. He hopes everything went okay. Guess he'll find out once he turns his phone back on.
Attention to Detail
by Buckminsterfullerene (AnonymousLeek) Relationships: Jack Rollins/Brock Rumlow, Steve Rogers/Brock Rumlow Summary: Jack overhears Brock getting hurt. After the attacker leaves, he offers comfort to his wayward commander. Whether Brock considers it comfort is another matter entirely.
to catch a fallen star
by Spintwin for mikazure Relationships: Steve Rogers/Brock Rumlow Summary: In an alternate Captain America: The Winter Soldier timeline, where Captain America has been working for Hydra since 1945, the Lemurian Star mission sees Black Widow stealing Hydra software, revealing that Nick Fury knows that Hydra is working within SHIELD. Naturally, someone has to pay for this mistake, and that someone is Brock Rumlow.
Lamb and Martyr
by Dira Sudis (dsudis) Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers Summary: "You could, though," Steve said. "If you were willing to hurt me."
Daybreak
by throttlegainwel Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes & Steve Rogers Summary: Hydra uses the Winter Soldier to keep their captives in line by brutal means. One visit is usually enough to instill obedience. But this latest prisoner, Rogers, seems to have caught their interest in a big way.
Mindbeast
by Defiler_Wyrm for Lies_Unfurl Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers, James "Bucky" Barnes/Other(s) Summary: Hydra has captured something remarkable, and they must take remarkable measures to win its compliance: it’s breeding season for the monster, and they offer up the Winter Soldier to be its mate. The beast and the Soldier meet again, and again, and again.

This is the one that truly breaks me.
When Cas is in the Ma’lak Box in the alternate future Chuck shows Sam.
They never explicitly say he’s praying, but... it’s immediately after the scene cuts from his Purgatory prayer, and it seems pretty clear he’s praying to Cas, who is eternally trapped in that box.

top four albums lately... with a challenge that I added for myself... HMM!!!
I'll try to put in albums i never mentioned on here, that's the challenge!
...oh dear.
Metropolis: The Chase Suite (Special Edition) by Janelle Monae: I was aware of Monae's existence, but the first song I really paid attention to was Mushrooms & Roses. It was played in a certain Austrian fast food and I immediately loved the piece and thought I'd better listen to it without crowd noises. I added it to my playlist and that was it for a while. Then the following year (meaning, this year, right now), we got a class on Black Arts and had to do presentations. Ours is on Afrofuturism... and during my preliminary research, I found that she was linked to it. And I also recognized them as part of the cast for Glass Onion -a movie I heavily recommend. A queer artist? I had to delve into her production. So I listened to her first studio album, The ArchAndroid. I really liked it, one of the tracks (which is a reversed bit from her first EP) led me to listen to The Chase and I immediately fell in love with it. The album is short (26:13) so I recommend giving it a full listen, but otherwise, you should at least check out the Violet Stars Happy Hunting!!!/Many Moons diptych.
Halo by Hoops: The album was supposed to be released in 2020 for the band's return, but questionable stuff happened ("questionable" as in "I don't want to delve into this but you're free to Google this") and they disbanded. So technically, the album is only available as a leak. I initially only heard They Say, but the whole album keeps this shoegazy, low-fi, vaporwave, chill music. I think I heard that song in a store about two years ago, but I only just (an hour before finally making this post) listened to its corresponding album, and it's a real treat.
The Gone Girl soundtrack by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross: It wouldn't be right if no soundtrack made the cut, now, would it? My immediate favorite aspect of the movie was its score. It's electronic, but in a chill way. The melodies are muffled, the constant parasite sounds contribute to the delicate eeriness of the atmosphere, and yet it's a delightful album I regularly come back to. The movie is naturally also a favorite of mine. Recommended: Sugar Storm, Empty Places, Just Like You, Background Noise, The Way He Looks At Me, Technically, Missing. You should actually listen to the whole album (or at least its first two thirds) as it works very cohesively, but I think the above pieces form the core of the album.
Back in Business by Eartha Kitt: For some people, Eartha Kitt was Catwoman (meow!). For other people, Eartha Kitt was Yzma - and that includes me. She actually had a song for The Emperor's New Groove, and it's a banger! So one day, I decided to give her discography a listen. Immediately enjoyed BiB. It's the kind of album you listen to in the evening, in the lounge of your spacious flat, as the window lets the summer air fill your place. I heavily recommend listening to Moon River, as well as maybe Speak Low if you want another track. But naturally, you can't discover Eartha Kitt without listening to *the* track that fueled everybody on the dancefloor, forty years ago.

Fic Authors Self-Rec!
Rules: When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass it on to at least five other writers. Let’s spread the self-love!

Troubled Water
Rating: E
Fandom: Star Wars Prequels / The Clone Wars
Relationship: Anakin Skywalker/Obi-Wan Kenobi
About: Sort of a character/relationship study that takes place over several years. Started as a cracky 5+1 things idea and... exploded into something much more expansive. The original premise: "Five times Obi-Wan kept Anakin warm, and one time Anakin returned the favor." It's still following this format, for the most part, as it's given me an outline to adhere to and an end goal.
Comment: This is still a work in progress, but I think it's already my favorite. Star Wars was one of my childhood obsessions and I'm enjoying reliving that nostalgia as an adult. Character-driven stories featuring personal growth and development have always fascinated me, and I love doing deep POV dives, so I'm having a ton of fun with it. It's given me back the motivation I'd been sorely lacking this year, and the response has honestly blown me away.
Beg Pretty for Me
Rating: E
Fandom: Supernatural
Relationship: Castiel/Dean Winchester
About: A smutty Dom/sub post-canon fix-it with lots of feelings. Dean saved Cas from the empty, they admitted their love for each other, and now everyone is one big happy family. Cue some raunchy "I'm on a mission and I miss you" phone sex!
Comment: I started this before the series finale both for personal reasons and for the fandom at large, because we can never have too many happy endings for these boys. It's what they deserved. And maybe I just wanted Cas to live and Dean to feel pretty and cherished and loved.
Fixing a Hole, Building a Bridge
Rating: M
Fandom: Dragon Age Origins
Relationship: Alistair/Morrigan
About: This is a short hurt/comfort piece wherein Alistair is injured and Morrigan takes care of him. And then repressed feelings spill out.
Comment: I originally wrote this for a Valentine's day prompt challenge, though it's been edited and added to since then because upon rereading I got inspired. Their banter is some of my favorite in the game and I love complex relationship dynamics, so this was a blast to write. Over time it's become one of my favs.
One September Morning
Rating: T
Fandom: Supernatural
Relationship: Castiel/Dean Winchester
About: Modern (No Monsters) AU where mechanic Dean falls in love with the new cashier working the counter at the gas station next to his auto shop. Alas, in true Dean fashion, it takes a full-on personal crisis for him to finally realize it.
Comment: This was my first exchange fic in the SPN fandom so I was nervous as fuck about it. But it ended up being a ton of fun. Super fluffy and sweet, despite some mild Dean-angst. And again, a happy ending, like they deserve. @dustyl turned it into a fantastic podfic too! Check it out here.💙💚
Private Sessions
Rating: E
Fandom: Dragon Age Inquisition
Relationship: Cullen Rutherford/f!Reader
About: Another Modern AU. You (the reader) have the hots for your new spin instructor. Guess what? The feeling is mutual! From sex to love and romance, with family fluff and mabari pups along the way, it's super adorable (and incredibly steamy).
Comment: What started as a reblog chain of my mutuals and I goofing off here on tumblr turned into a summer writing circle that got us through the first lockdown. Because of this project, I met some of the most awesome people. It brought us closer as friends and I will forever be grateful for that. And the responses we got to it were astounding and so heart-warming. Shout out to my beautiful co-authors and sister witches @charlatron @kemvee @jacklyn-flynn I love y'all! 😘

I loved this scene because I literally had a boyfriend who would do this. He would just grab my bag and start digging through it, inspecting stuff curiously. He once ate some of my lipgloss in a tub after asking “what’s this?” Just dug his finger in and ate a bit of it. It’s no wonder I adore Castiel...

Because the wank never ends and we are all in a samsara of discourse: fixed shipping is FINE AND COOL!
Only liking certain t/b dynamic = FINE! Enjoying when they have seme/uke personality changes = FINE! Harassing people who write/enjoy outside of that binary = BAD
Literally it's 100% normal and cool to only prefer one character being dominant or another taking it up the ass! It's just that people start demanding "top/bottom tags" on works that don't necessarily fit the tropes they're asking for, or getting mad when SFW art has "both tags".
Say I want to write BlorboSkrunkly. Blorbo is older & in a position of power. Skrunkly is younger. If I write a fic where Blorbo is topping, a lot of fixed shippers will assume Blorbo is being DOMINANT and even grooming/pressuring Skrunkly into it. EVEN IF THATS THE OPPOSITE THING I'M WRITING! They will be UPSET even if I "tag properly" because that is "not what they expect from a top Blorbo fic". However, I can't tag top Skrunkly, because he is NOT TOPPING!!!! The penis is going into his ass! But you can be harassed for tagging properly while not following the seme/uke OOCness that people expect from the tags. (This is not a strawman, this has literally happened to me and friends)
As well, often fixed shippers become hostile over TOTALLY SFW ART where the characters are together and not even drawn differently from canon. "Don't tag as AxB if you actually ship BxA!!!!" when the art has nothing to show one way or the other!!! How is this decided?? How do you even begin to choose the tag? Especially in a Western fandom where there isn't a AxBxA style tag that anyone uses, so it is not typically searched for OR muted?
I honestly do support fixed dynamic shippers, and most of them are normal about it. Like sometimes you just have a blorbo whose prostate needs to be jammed 24/7!!! I GET IT!!!! But when ppl get OBSESSED with it and try to enforce it on everyone, IT'S WEIRD!
Generally I tend to be very vers/switch when it comes to my ships, but I always do try to tag in my fics. Not in "ship name" (since AO3 doesn't support that) but in the other tags. But tags are a COURTESY!
I believe that if you feel so strongly about Skrunkly needing to be a weepy submissive bottom, it's on you to read only tagged fics or find a friend to taste test it for you. Even then, you NEED to accept that sometimes the top!Blorbo tag isn't going to mean the personality change and dynamic you expect/want. And you cannot get upset at the author for that.
Generally when this comes up I DO KNOW people are talking about the classic seme/uke idea of top/bottom, so the top is domineering (and even rapey), and the bottom is smaller and sweet/submissive
Hot Yaoi Base by K3nel1OS
But there's not a lot of grace given for works that DON'T FIT INTO THAT TROPE

YES!! I made this back in April because I was SO CONFUSED about the timeline!
youtube
THERE’S SO MUCH MISSING. And it’s never explained!!!!
TFatWS’ Missing Scene in Episode Four
One of the many reasons I'm certain that the production and edit of TFatWS was an epic cluster-fuck is that they thought Sam could ask 'what about Bucky?' in response to Zemo's unwavering declaration of 'supersoldiers must not exist' and the next moment we see Zemo and Bucky confront each other, Zemo has already backed off killing him and they never give any explanation as to why.
So. I’m usually not one to say things with absolute certainty, but: There was a missing scene in this episode. There has to be a missing scene somewhere in episode four that should be all about confronting Zemo's bias towards Bucky. Sam's 'what about Bucky?' line just doesn't make any sense without it.
From the beginning of Episode 3 we know that there's an ideological battle going on between who Zemo thinks Bucky is and who Bucky (is trying/to be/figure out/etc.) actually is. Zemo thinks that the Winter Soldier is still a part of him; Bucky is trying to prove (to himself, mostly) that it isn’t. Zemo is trying to prove that Bucky/Winter Soldier should not exist just like the other supersoldiers that he's killed before; but by the end of the show he’s amended that. And that’s kind of a big thing for a character that, up until now, has shown himself to be fairly committed and absolute. We know by everything we’ve been told about him that Zemo doesn’t just change his mind once it’s been made up,,, and yet,,,
Zemo starts off committed to the mission of killing all supersoldiers and moves to try to prove Bucky’s ‘faulty character’ to Sam in Madripoor (re: that ‘fall into form’ bit, trying to prove Bucky is eventually going to fall back into becoming the Winter Soldier and to show how dangerous he is), and later tries to prove it to Bucky himself in Sokovia as a last-ditch effort in what has basically been all cases of not-so-secret tests of character. In all of them Bucky wins. Zemo loses the ideological battle about and TO Bucky. And while we might be able to see the final blow made by Bucky at the memorial (re: not killing Zemo) and Sam's disarming blow in Riga ('What about Bucky?') we never actually get to see The Turn. The moment when the doubt comes in and Zemo's ideological fight starts to crumble.
And it's so easy to know what this is supposed to look like! In The Dark Knight it's the moment the passengers on the ferry boats don't blow each other up. In Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory it's when Charlie gives back the Everlasting Gobstopper. You’ve seen it before. It's the moment when the 'villain', who has a conviction of understanding towards the 'protagonist', is upended in their conviction by an act, usually of heroism or nobility, shattering the antagonist's preconceived notions about them.
So where the hell is That Moment where Bucky is proved to be noble in the test of character to Zemo??
May I present, exhibit A:

Zemo is down, right next to Walker, and Hoskins has the exit behind them.
Bucky and Sam are up and farther away and looking down on them.
(Note: Sam and Bucky's eyeline is right where Zemo should be)
The scene cuts (jarringly) to Karli with her crew, planning to take out Walker before it cuts again to Sam and Zemo and the line of 'what about Bucky?' comes up.
And speak of the devil, Bucky barges in and talks about how crazy Walker is.
And let me just say, this is fucking weird.
I know the first thought is, ‘how did Zemo get to the Riga apartment and on the couch?’ but that's not (totally) what I'm thrown by.
Instead I’m wondering why the fuck is Bucky barging in talking about Walker? As in, not already with Sam and Zemo?
Last we've seen them, they were all together. Reasonably we are to assume at least Bucky, Sam, and Zemo should still be in the same place since they have been together for most of the episode. So, where has Bucky been? Why were they separated?
These are all questions your audience are going to have (at least subconsciously) when you cut from a scene where they were all together and then establish in the next one, that they’re not. This is screenplay/editing 101! The edit here is confusing as fuck and we're never given an answer for it. Since Bucky's first words are a roundabout, 'Walker is nuts bros' I don't think it's a stretch to assume Bucky was with Walker, right??? And then to add even more confusion:
WALKER!??
Why? Why the fuck is Walker popping in this scene demanding Zemo??? WhY. When just five minutes prior he had him! There's so much basic logic missing here!!
Walker was literally standing over Zemo in the previous scene with all of them. There was Hoskins at his back and Sam and Bucky were far enough away that Walker obviously had the power over the situation. If he wanted Zemo why didn't he just take him then??
There isn't even an established reason as to why Bucky and Sam would defend him at that point since they had found Karli and lost her (on top of Zemo breaking free of his cuffs and shooting her, which is against Sam's mission to save Karli) so by now Zemo has outlived his usefulness in the mission. Or as Zemo would say, lost ‘his leverage’.
It’s obvious that, even to Zemo, he had thought once Karli was found at the funeral that he was going to be turned over.
They really don't have a good reason why they'd stand in Walker's way in that moment either. Walker is a person that is technically meant to be their ally at this point and it makes sense for him to arrest Zemo and for Sam and Bucky to stand aside for him to do so.
(Later in the scene in the Riga apartment where they do stand in between Walker and Zemo, there's a little more power in Sam and Bucky's hands since Walker is barging in on their turf and it’s then established that Bucky and Sam aren’t feeling Walker’s vibe over Zemo’s.)
So.
The logic of the edit here is that:
Walker is in a prime position to take Zemo into custody but for some reason just doesn't.
Zemo and Sam end up back in the Riga apartment without Bucky.
Bucky comes in later complaining about Walker.
Walker and Hoskins follow, literally kicking down the down to now bring in Zemo.
Like
There’s a missing scene here bros. And dollars to donuts that it’s the same missing piece that explains why Zemo changed his mind about Bucky.
So Marvel,

The stuff in Fallout that turns me into a ghoulcy truthing clown is this sort of thing
Norm: Must be nerve-racking. Your husband could be anybody. Lucy: I’m aware. Norm: And as for his looks? Lucy: Who knows? Norm: Big butt? No butt? But, of course, it’s just superficial concerns. It’s what’s on the inside that counts. Hank: That’s right. Norm: And in that respect, he could be a cannibal, or just like crammed full of tumors.
where it’s either
A.) foreshadowing B.) a red herring, or C.) a funny joke that only coincidentally lines up
When the character she meets up with is an irradiated cannibalistic ghoul… 🤷♀️
