Just Finished: The Soulmate by Sally Hepworth
That's another funny thing about marriage. Sometimes, when you look back on it, the worst moments are in fact the best.

Currently Listening: The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth
I'm enjoying this one so far. It's different, and it was labeled as a thriller, but doesn't feel like one. There's hints of something lurking in the past, but it always gets brushed aside, which gives it an eerie feel. There's only one narrator, and the story is told between the two sisters, Rose and Fern, but she does a great job of giving each sister their own unique voice. I've been liking this so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Top Ten Tuesday: Quotes from the last ten books I have read
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Every Tuesday, a new topic is assigned from the schedule below. Then, you take that topic and fly free with it. You can do as little or as much as you want to (I have…

The Soulmate
s
Title: The Soulmate Author: Sally Hepworth Genre: thriller Thank you, NetGalley, for this book. I’ve heard great things about Sally Hepworth’s books, so when I saw this pop up on NetGalley, I grabbed it. I also follow her on Instagram, where she posts delightful, fun things. However, this one fell a bit flat for me. From GoodReads: Gabe and Pippa Gerard have just moved into their dream…

Review: The Soulmate by Sally Hepworth
Author: Sally HepworthPublisher: St. Martin’s PressReleased: April 4, 2023Received: Own (BOTM) Book Summary: Pippa and her husband, Gabe, recently moved to a beautiful small town near the coast. They let the cliff-side view of a cottage talk them into moving. Unfortunately, this view has a drawback – it’s a famous suicide location. It isn’t long before Gabe becomes semi-famous for talking…

The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth
Rose and Fern are fraternal twins and have always been there for each other. Rose has always protected Fern, from other people, and herself.
I loved this. I loved it so much. I don't read a lot of thrillers, but this one had me throughout. The narrator was amazing, giving a unique voice and way of speaking to both sisters. The end had me shook, and I stayed in my driveway to listen to the end because I could not wait until the next morning to finish it. I don't want to write too much about the book because I don't want to spoil it, but this was a pleasant surprise and now all of the audiobooks by Sally Hepworth that my library has on Libby are in my want to read shelf.

The thing that makes ethics interesting is that no two individuals see things the same. We all have our own internal barometer of what’s right and wrong.
