Hi hi hi Mera!! I wanna share this one idea i had of the SAGAU that I think no one has written/published(?! I really havent seen anyone write this concept before so--)
Its basically where after the Reader is revealed as the true Creator/God, so everyone is begging for forgiveness and crying and begging and some have even instantly turned on the Imposter and attacked them and forced them onto their knees to make them bow before the true God and
Reader just looks at them, repulsed.
For months theyve been hunting them down like a pest, torturing and degrading them, and now just because a little bit of stardust in their blood they're falling over themselves trying to earn their favor and love? And how easily they turned on the Imposter to. At the very least, if they had remained consistent to the end they wouldnt feel so disgusted but no, they really just change at the drop of a hat. Its sickening. These arent the characters they fell in love with- just crazed syncophants in a cult.
So Reader cuts off their prayers and pleading and tells them that they shouldnt apologize. After all, "they" are not their god right? Just a filthy, sinful imposter who dares to wear their face and bear their name, right? And the one they just attacked and forced to the ground is their beloved "Creator", right?
So that Imposter should become the new god of Teyvat.
And as if some ancient, powerful spell had been spoken- Teyvat rumbles. The earth and the skies shake and the stardust in Reader's blood glows bright and hot like a heavenly glow before dimming to a light aura around their body while the Imposter screams. Screams as their body starts to age and wither and drain of life before they collapse to the ground as a barely breathing husk- more corpse than person as everyone becomes frenzied.
Reader disappears then, amongst the frenzied screams from immortals and mortals alike.
The month after the event leaves Teyvat shaken and spiritually broken and scared. The Archons had gotten on their hands and knees and prayed frantically for the Creator to return for an entire week straight, but when their prayers went unanswered they took the body of the false god and took it away somewhere. Some say to desecrate the Imposter, some say to figure out what the Creator's ominous last words meant.
It is exactly six months to the day later that everyone feels the first wave of consequences upon them.
Everyone awakens to a fractured grey sky, like someone had taken a picture of it and shattered it and hung the mismatched pieces to pretend nothing happened. The plants all start to wither as if they have been poorly treated despite the farmers best efforts otherwise. Plagues and pedtilence devastate the animals and meat becomes a luxury so expensive that only the absolute richest of the nation could afford.
The people clamor for answers and in turn the archons look to the oldest amongst them in confusion and desperation, and Zhongli ventures to Celestia for an answer.
The Celestial gates are open, but the heavenly palace is left bereft of anything. Only the God of Heavenly Principles is left, and she too looks weak and wretched. When Zhongli asks for answers, the Heavenly Principles coldly answers:
"Teyvat subsisted off the grace of the Creator. Now that they have abandoned us completely, and the life force of the Imposter has completely run dry, Teyvat will fall into nothing.
If you want this doomed world to continue, then you must sacrifice people in substantial amounts to even match a fraction of the Creator's power for Teyvat to subsist on. Otherwise, we can all face the collapse of this world together. For this is the judgement of the highest of the Heavens, and I will not allow any sinner to escape it."
That became a story at the end im sorry i got too into it asdfgjklakgsha

:O that’s so interesting!!!! Your concepts never cease to amaze me. They’re always so creative!!

Hey everyone! I’m trying something new and giving you guys a sad bit from a convo I was having with the delightful @scorpiris-sideralis earlier today. I post this with her full permission
*
scorpiris-sideralis Do you ever wonder if JZX ever had a nightmare or smth and he tried going to JGS for comfort but he shooed him away cause he was being entertained by a girl?
angstymdzsthoughts Oof Ohhh my god that would be heartbreaking He normally goes to his mom but shes gone visiting her parents so he goes to his dad The guards at the door try to shoo him away and send him back to bed but he Wants His Dad Now
scorpiris-sideralis THIS IS SAD
angstymdzsthoughts And then a drunk, giggling women with her robes half off stumbles out of the room and freezes when she sees a little kid Immediately tries to straighten her robes. "The um... the sect leader wants more wine..." Rushes back into the room
angstymdzsthoughts JZX gets sent back to bed and a servant stays with him telling him stories and singing lullabies until he falls back asleep When his mom comes back he overhears JGS telling her to take JZX with her if she going to leave overnight again
scorpiris-sideralis OH NOOOO SAD
angstymdzsthoughts Madam Jin, instantly suspicious: Why? JGS: I hadn't realized what a needy child he was. Madam Jin: Hes six!
scorpiris-sideralis I wonder if this becomes a bigger argument than usual
scorpiris-sideralis Usually JGS can keep his whores out of sight but for them to appear before her own child? Cant imagine madam jin letting this go
angstymdzsthoughts It stops the second JZX walks in. Madam Jin doesnt want her son to see his parents arguing JGS doesnt care either way
scorpiris-sideralis Bxjdbdjs JGS is such a dick

Yue Qingyuan goes into a Qi Deviation and loses his memories. As a way to try and recollect them, he went thru his belongings and found a couple dozen scrolls carefully stored away and found they are all love letters signed to someone named “Xiao Jiu”. He continues to write, hoping he’ll remember this person he loves so dearly.
Years pass, and almost all his memories have come back, except for the ones concerning Xiao Jiu. One of the other Peak Lords find the love letters and encouraged him to post them, saying that his beloved would definitely have to respond if he publicly professed his love. So he does, and he becomes very famous for it, but still, no response.
But he keeps writing, hoping one day his beloved will see the letters and write back. Even if its been seven years since he lost his memories, and three since he started publishing.
Then, two years later, he is at a sect leaders conference in one of the more provincial areas, and he happens across a strangely familiar little backwater town. He enters, looking around, and comes across the charred remains of a once magnificent mansion. He asks around, and he is told that it was once the home of the deceased local nobles- the Qiu.
Yue Qingyuan stares, silent. Then he asks what happened to the clan. His head hurts. The old lady sighs, shaking her head as she tells him the answer.
“You see, before the fire, the young Lord Qiu had been going crazy, screaming and losing his temper over every little thing. Some thought he was possessed, others said he was haunted... and some assumed that the ghost of his sister’s fiance had come for him. After all, the Lord was known to be protective of his sister, and the fiance died of mysterious circumstances.”
“Who was... the fiance?”
“Ah, some beggar the Qiu took off the streets and the Miss had become fond of. I think his name was Shen Jiu.”

The Bane of Our Family: Father
Inspired by @tri3tri’s S/W au along with a submission from @scorpiris-sideralis
There will be more for me to say at the end of the story.
~
In the Valley of Thorns, lived a princess who was born with the blood of both humans and fae. The crown princess of the Valley, under the tutelage of her father, the king, and the brightest scholars of the kingdom grew up to be an intelligent and cunning princess who was skilled in controlling her fae magic and was brought up to be a great Queen.
However, she knew that there were notable issues within the castle, starting with her family. Her father, who treated her like a national treasure, was possessive over her sweet and loving mother. The reason for that was simple. She didn’t love Father, at least not in the way father wanted her too. And so, Mother was forced to marry her father at a young age, even though most of his advisors were against the idea of father marrying a magic-less human. That reason alone was why many of her father’s advisors would look at her with scorn and disdain, no matter what she accomplished.
She cared deeply about her mother and treasured the unconditional love that she gave her and her younger sister from infancy. That was why for her sake, she would ascend to the throne and find a way to help her mother return to her true home. The princess spent years planning every decision out, gaining the favor of young nobles, winning over some of the members of her father’s court, and earning the love of the public.
However it was all torn apart when her father announced that he would be marrying another woman, a lady of a noble pureblood fae family, in hopes of giving birth to a son, and once she did, that child would be the next heir. He had denounced her as his heir, all that work, everything she did, it was apparently for naught.
Then again she can’t be too surprised, her father’s advisors had been badgering him to take on a second wife of pure fae origin so he could have an heir of pureblood.
Pureblood.
That was something about the Princess she couldn’t change about herself. She could study every book in the royal library and become the kingdom’s most brilliant scholar, she could take up the way of the blade and become the greatest swordsman in the Valley, she could even practice her magic and refine it to perfection that rivals even her father’s, but she could never change her blood. It was something that was always mentioned among the advisors like it was a blatant flaw of hers. Like it made it her inferior to all of them, despite having the Witch of Thorns’ blood running through her veins.
It simply wasn’t right, Mother, human though she may be, was the queen of the Valley of Thorns, had the proper authority to act upon her whims and punish everyone if she wasn’t so compassionate. It was disrespectful to see the court and the servants look at her and her mother with contempt despite all they’ve done for the kingdom.
She had to listen to Sebek criticize her mother all the time, no matter how well she did her job as Queen because of her human origins. It was disrespectful for a fae who was no more than a guard to berate his queen for doing her duty. It was frustrating seeing her mother have no choice but to grow used to the hurtful comments around her no matter what she did and watching her father do nothing to prevent them.
When she confronted her father in his office, all he did was brush her off, like she was dust on his shoulder.
“Father I don’t understand why you would give in to your court’s whims.”
“This isn’t your business, I suggest that some of your studies be dropped as you are no longer heir.”
“But father, you would always say that you needn’t have to remarry because you would always have mother and my sister and me. Why did you suddenly change your mind now?”
“That is none of your concern, the Valley needs a proper heir and your mother simply hasn’t become pregnant in these past few years.”
“A proper heir? Have my actions not shown that I’m capable of being Queen? Or is it that… you’re ashamed of my human blood, ashamed of me and mother?”
His back grew rigid, “Daughter, I would watch your words in front of me.”
“I refuse, I need a proper answer from you father. Would you have preferred that mother was born fae? Did you not, when I was younger, say that you loved everything about mother, or was just that simply just a lie?”
“Young Lady…”
“I’m right, aren’t I? You don’t love mother, do you? You just think of her as a fun toy that you grew tired of don’t you? You certainly don’t care that she’s constantly harassed by the castle’s employees, from the court to Sebek even the maids go about berating her for her human blood. But I’ve never seen you once attempt to stop them.”
Her father’s ears were turning red from contempt and his eyes were glowering at her but she stood her ground.
“Or is that your plan? You stole her from her home, forced her into marriage, forced her to have your children only to abandon her in a way of breaking her down until she’s desperate for care and affection from you. Is this all just a part of your sick and twisted attempt of getting her to love you?”
*SLAP*
A red mark bloomed on the princess’s face, her father standing before her, hand raised. He had slapped her. She raised her hand to the mark on her face with wide eyes. In the past, she never would have believed that her doting father would even harm a hair on her head, let alone slap her across the face. It hurt, even though she knew what he put her mother through, he was still her father and she always wanted to appease him and make him proud.
“That’s enough out of you, it seems you’ve grown as insufferably stubborn as your mother. Silver. Sebek. Escort the princess back to her room.” His guards, who were waiting outside, entered his office.
Silver was the first to approach her, “Princess please follow me.” But she pulled herself away from him.
“I’m not leaving until I ask one last thing to my father, Silver.”
Malleus sighed before answering, “And pray tell would that be, daughter?”
She stood up straight and looked him straight in the eyes, “I know you father, I know that for years you’ve done all you can think of to get mother to love you, to have the family you desired. But I ask you if this is truly what you want to do. Do you truly mean to set Mother aside in favor of another and to have another on the throne?”
He faltered for a moment before standing straight and tall, towering over his daughter, “Yes, and nothing is going to change my decision.”
She should’ve known. Mother always did say that father lied often. Like how he lied that he loved mother with all his heart. Or how he promised that she would be able to lead the Valley of Thorns proudly as Queen one day.
She lowered her eyes in a moment of sadness before glaring up at him in a split second before returning to a neutral face, “If that is your will,” She curtsied, “I hope you’re happy with your decision because there’s no going back. May your reign be long and prosperous, Your Majesty.” She made a quick turn before leaving, head facing forward, hands to her waist and her back straight, an exit filled with formal grace.
On her way to her room, she began to get lost in her thought. Lilia was on his way to see his majesty when he spotted the young first princess walking almost aimlessly. So he called out to her.
“Princess.” Her attention was drawn to the voice calling out to her, she turned to face Lord Lilia, one of her father’s most trusted retainers.
“Lord Lilia, I give my greetings.”
Now, now, princess, you needn’t have to greet this old one,” Lilia waved off her formality.
“Even if you are as you say, an ‘old one’, you are father’s most trustworthy retainer and have served the royal family since the time of my great grandmother, her majesty, The Witch of Thorns. To understate your prestige would be nothing less than rude. But that aside, did you need something of me, Lord Lilia?”
“Why yes, I was wondering how you were doing. I heard you were a touch shaken up after your father announced he would be remarrying and removing your title as heir.”
“I suppose I was shaken up however this matter is something that father has the final say in alone. If he wishes for that woman’s future child to be the next ruler, I have no choice but to set aside any opposition. I just came back from my father’s office and was planning on returning to my room.”
“I see but your highness, you just passed your bedroom door though,” she turned her head back to see the door to her bedroom just a few feet behind her.
“Oh! I didn’t realize… I must have been lost in my thoughts to notice, who knows where I could have ended up. Thank you for notifying me, Lord Lilia.” She turned around to enter her bedroom before remembering something, “Actually Lord Lilia,” The old fae’s ears perked before turning to her, “ I was wondering if you were on your way to see father… I meant to give him some policy proposals regarding the dispute regarding the villages along our border but it must have slipped my mind.”
The old fae smiled, “Actually, I, as a matter of a fact, was indeed on my way to see his majesty, I can deliver it on my way princess.” She smiled before entering her room and coming out with a small stack of papers in hand.
“The first half of the pages consist of a set plan with can act towards for long term and my argument for the plan while the remaining half includes smaller short term solutions that should appease the residents for the time being along with the territory’s lord too.”
Lilia’s face was a tad surprised, though the princess was a young adult to human standards, she was like a baby when compared to the average lifespan of a fae, and yet she comes up with intuitive solutions that most conservative fae would never think of in centuries but then again, look at who her mother is. The first female student of NRC and the young lady who stopped overblot after overblot in her first year alone, “You know to be quite honest your highness, whether or not you become Queen, I’m genuinely curious about what you’ll do for this country.”
“I appreciate the sentiment Lord Lilia but I’m afraid I might not be able to do as much anymore with my title as heir taken from me,” A saddened smile, present on her face. It pained Lilia to see the bright princess he knew with dreams as high as the sky so diminished, “Right now, looking after my mother and sister are what matters to me right now. Now if you excuse I’ll just return to my room.”
“Of course your highness. I’ll be off then.” Lilia left the princess to her own devices before setting off to his original course towards his majesty’s office.
~
Meanwhile, the princess closed her door before sitting in front of her vanity mirror. “Whew that was too close, I almost got excited in front of Lilia. My whole plan would have been ruined if that had happened.” A smile creeping on her face, “Though I can help but wonder what kind of expression father will have on his face when he sees my policy proposal... regret, annoyance, sadness? Oh, the possibilities.”
Father’s decision will surely backfire on him. She knows her father, to her, it would only be a matter of time before Father realizes that he regrets his decision. Father would never give up on Mother so easily, and the look on his face. He barely showed it but he must not have been aware of how she was harassed by the servants.
No doubt he’ll investigate it further and when he does, he’ll find out the mastermind in no time. After all, if she could do it in less than a week with few resources then he should figure it out in a few days at most. He’ll realize just how untrustworthy the court is and eventually, father will have to admit his mistake and reappoint her.
But until then...Let’s have Father suffer just for a little bit.
She looked at the small frame image of her mother and younger sister, ‘Perhaps I should arrange a tea party for mother and sister in the meantime. I can’t wait to tell them what I have planned.’ Her eyes begin to glow brightly.
The princess looked back at her reflection in her mirror, her green eyes, long black hair, and prominent horns made her a near spitting image of her father. If it weren’t for her facial structure, you wouldn’t see any of the queen’s genetics at all. ‘Oh, I’m sure mother will be excited to have father be away from her after so long. She has been going on about how she just wants some alone time.'
She thinks about how her father’s future second wife. From what she’s heard, the future second queen is a bit of an attention hog so she’ll surely demand father all of his free time. She wonders how long it’ll take before the court realizes their blunder about how the second queen is hardly active anyway outside of gossip tea parties and luxurious ballrooms. Meanwhile, her mother was never one who enjoyed being lavished in luxuries, much to her father’s dismay and worked hard in aiding this nation as a competent figure.
The princess couldn’t wait for the look of frustration on father’s and his retainers’ faces when dealing with this spoiled noble lady and how that woman will look whence realizes that she won’t be getting her happily ever after. Oh, the performance she’ll be able to watch alongside her sister and mother.
“How amusing this show will be...”
~ For Malleus and MC’s eldest daughter, I portrayed her as a cunning woman who cares about her mother deeply and will do what she can to ensure her mother’s happiness. Even if that means making her father miserable in the process.
Also I’m making a part 2 for this as well so expect that to coming soon.

I just went thru your ayato tags and I have to ask: in that one ask where Ayato's darling runs away from him successfully for a year because of the Sakoku Decree- imagine how much more terrified and angry Ayato would be if she was pregnant. Like he managed to get her to make love with him sometime prior and he used that as an excuse to marry her to 'salvage her honor' and he was like 90% sure he knocked her up so he was on cloud nine thinking everything was going perfectly then poof! Wifey-to-be had run away.
My man's gonna freak the fuck out lmao 🤣 and Darling is 10000% in deeper shit when he comes rushing outta Inazuma to get her back lol.
He's definitely not happy in the slightest. For the sake of appearances, he'll smile and act like it isn't troubling at all, hiding behind cordial behaviors in order to mask the frustrations that are slowly building. There are so many dangers out there and the fact that you're pregnant doesn't make the world any safer for you. He's stressed thinking about all of the tragedies that could befall you and he knows that he must find you before anything terrible happens. You'll always be much safer with him; this is something he firmly believes in because it's the undeniable truth.
So when he finally locates you, he will not be happy. But neither will you, so he supposes it's a situation where neither party wins. At the very least, he'll finally have you in his arms again and he won't have to agonize over you and the baby's safety.

Mera! I had an idea. Sangonomiya!Darling x Yandere Kamisato Ayato.
Darling is Kokomi’s younger sister or smth, they share authority and responsibility in leading Watatsumi. When the civil war is over and Narukami extends an olive branch, everyone is glad for the newfound peace. Darling even goes over to Narukami to discuss trade deals and border patrols and etc, and thats when she bumps into Ayato.
An Ayato who quickly develops an obsession with her and within a forthnight the Raiden Shogun herself is suggesting a marriage alliance between Watatsumi’s Princess and the most influential lord of Narukami. Ayato even has a whole contract and trade deals and etc prepared, all in benefit to Watatsumi Islanders as a dowry. And considering how Watatsumi is currently trying to recover from war and their land needs to recover/revive itself with Orobashi’s blood, they’re low on resources and desperate. So despite the protestations of the islanders Darling leaves to marry Ayato.
All eyes on her and her marriage, poor girl. She could never escape now- Watatsumi depended on it, and Ayato himself had sworn on their wedding night he’d sooner invoke another war that ended in the total destruction of Inazuma than allow her to abandon him. She’s just lucky Koko tries to find time to see her sister so Ayato can’t lock her up like he desperately wants to, but with how much Koko has to deal with on her own now as the sole leader of Watatsumi those visits are few and far between that darling almost forgets who she was before her marriage to Ayato.
OHH!! This is so good!! Poor darling has to withstand all of the sudden responsibilities that are piled on once she’s married to Ayato… Good luck to her. >_<

Ayato and Amnesiac Darling is literally so terrifying because imagine you were trying to run away but failed and got hurt and it led to you losing your memory so now Ayato has the absolute freedom to fuck with your mind and mold it how he wished and your going to guilessly go along with what he says because he knows better right? He, the man who mysteriously saved you, the lord who paid for all you medical fees without any need for compensation, the extremely Comissioner who puts time away in his schedule to help you regain your memories. Of course you can trust him!
You... have no one else you can trust, after all. Not when everyone parrots the same narrative to you over and over again. Not when everyone is on their lord's side and treat you exactly how you think the Lord's beloved, recently kidnapped but now saved (from who? By who?) Wife ought to be treated.
He has so much power over you and you have no choice but to believe him because he wouldn't ever lie to you. Yet, in the back of your mind, you're so certain that something's not right. Things aren't adding up as they should, but you still agree to everything he says regardless of whether your brain tells you otherwise. His story is so believable that you'll eventually start to brush aside any worries or inconsistencies you manage to catch (if you catch any at all). Ayato is clever and patient and overwhelmingly thorough, and he walks on thin ice as he spins a convincing tale over the course of days, weeks, months until everything's been patched up wonderfully and you're no longer outright questioning him or looking confused.
If you attempt to pry into what happened to your memories or how you came to be acquainted with your beloved husband, Ayato will dismiss it with a wave of his hand. Why dwell on things that have already happened and are therefore in the past? But if you must know, he wouldn't mind divulging a few stories involving how the two of you met. It's a memory he regards with fondness, so perhaps sharing it with you will jog your own memory and you might recall it for yourself. If not, he has plenty of other cute stories to share to fill the spaces in your brain. Why not lend him your ear instead of running yourself ragged searching for the answer to a mystery that will never show itself?
Besides, he's told you before that he will always treasure you even if you have difficulty recalling your past. Just focus on the present and you will find that it's very comfortable. And you're inclined to trust his sincerity because it's really all you can do when he's the only one with proper answers.

MERA I HAVE TO SHARE THIS BATSHIT INSANE IDEA I HAD
YANDERE KAMISATO AYATO AND EX-WIFE DARLING
The divorce is the Kamisato clan’s worst stain on their pristine reputation, even if Ayato and Wife had been in complete agreement to divorce each other. They didnt love each other, they could barely stand each other, and Ayato would rather be labelled a man with one failed marriage under his belt than a man who’s in an unhappy one. The scandal of it all eventually dies down after some years and Ayato’s consolidated his power as the Yashiro Commissioner and one of the top dogs of Inazuma, and he’s... well, satisfied seems too strong a word but he isn’t... its not like he regrets his divorce too much, ya know? Their personalities clashed, they couldnt be what the other needed or wanted, it just didnt work out. Sure it hurts when he wakes up in the morning and he goes through his daily routine in the complete silence of his solitary chambers but its not that big of a deal? He still has Ayaka. He even has Thoma! And the Kamisato servant... even if they’re forced to attend to him bc he’s their lord... ah uhm, he has Itto, sometimes, when he can make time in his schedule. And uh, Miss Ann is quite kind, she’s always willing to lend an ear to him when he dines at her shop, rare as it may be. He has... he has...
Fine, he’s lonely. It hurts to wake up to an empty and cold bed and its sad when he has to have his tea alone and its worse when the few times he can return to the house its empty aside from servants who dont dare to be too familiar with their lord, and his sister and Thoma are out doing whatever it is that they do. At least when you were there, no matter how much you two argued, you’d greet him and ask him about his day or offer him a snack. At meals you’d regale him with tales of your day or some petty ongoings in Inazuma. Light hearted things that never fail to take his mind off of his heavy burdens and he can relax as you fill the silence with chatter.
He knows he misses the good times, the memory of you, more than he actually does you, because there were just as many fights as there were good days, but for seven’s sake the loneliness can just really wear down even the most resilient of pillars.
Maybe thats why, years after the divorce he seeks you out. He doesn’t even know how he ends up in front of your humble but quaint home, but he’s quick to spin a lie when the door opens to show your unsurprised but bemused all the same face. A lie that he was just out for a walk and decided to deliver this month’s alimony to you personally. You invite him in easily enough, and Ayato marvels at the warmth your home exudes. It’s homy and lived-in, a great departure from the ornate and grand halls of the noble mansions both of you grew up in as children, and you chuckle at his amazement and remind him that your family had disowned you for the dishonor of being a divorcee and he cant help but wince. You had taken on the heavier social stigma with the divorce but you had bravely accepted it and laughed in the face of the consequences as you built up a cozy life for yourself.
He envied it, your freedom and courage to do something so... independent. He could only ever envision something like this at his lowest of low points when the burden of being the commissioner and lord kamisato overwhelmed him. He would never turn his back on his people, but it doesnt mean that he never felt tired.
It’s the warmth of the tea cup you press into his hands that shakes him out of his thoughts, and his brain hyper-focuses on the warmth of your hands enveloping his before you pull away and he almost almost chases after you.
You’re calmer now, he thinks. More mature, gentle in a way he doesn’t really remember aside from the times you’d help him into the bed after a long day of work and bundle him up in the sheets back when you were married. You wouldnt have welcomed him in and served him tea if he had visited you unannounced in the past, and you pointedly remind him you were both children then. Angry, emotional children who were caught up in political schemes they had no choice but to follow.
And yet you managed to escape. Ayato cant help but sneer in his heart, but its forced to remain an internal statement by a pointed look from someone who knows all the best and worst sides of himself. A look he knows well from years of experience and he holds his tongue as he drinks his tea. Sweet, with a mellow taste that reminds him of the strange milk teas he hears so much about being sold in the city. He should take you there, sometime, it would be nice—
Ayato stops his train of thought right there, wondering why it even came to mind. You didnt even like sweets all that much, and he knows how weird it would look to everyone to see the Lord Kamisato setting aside time in his busy schedule to get drinks with his ex-wife. Does that even make sense? The divorce happened because you two could barely stand each other, but here he is time and again seeking you for comfort.
It’s a pity that you two had been forced together so unnaturally, like roughly chopped blocks of wood, the friction between you burgeoning into a raging fire that ruined much of your early history together till it razed down the marriage alliance both families had been so hopeful for. Its ludicrous, when you think about how you two almost seamlessly work with each other now, that there had ever been a fight between you two. Even with his unannounced arrivals you let him in and let him complain or rant or stare off into space as he lets himself be Ayato and not Kamisato Ayato. And in this house (that he secretly helped you make, he wasnt a monster to just completely abandon you after the divorce), you thrive in the freedom of being the sole master of your own destiny and blossomed into someone who no longer had to bite her tongue when someone tried to talk over her, who no longer had to pretend to be diplomatic when she was enraged, like you had been when you were married to him.
Maybe if you got together now instead of then, he wouldnt have to wake up to an empty bed. Maybe if you were together now instead of then, he wouldnt have any memories of that bed containing more than just himself to begin with. Maybe if you two got to be together as Ayato and (Name) it wouldve worked out.
Maybe thats why he lets his feet take him to your house more and more as the days go by, and your continued graciousness to let him into your home and let him be Ayato contorts his mind into believing that you feel the same way. You were once his wife. You know every part of him, good and gracious and bad and terrible, and you still accept him. Its not like the mask of a kind if mischievous older brother he puts on for Ayaka, the playful but hardworking master Thoma knows him as, or the cunning and handsome lord of Kamisato he puts on for the populace.
You were his wife. Were. But whats something as flimsy as a piece of paper splattered with ink against the might of the most powerful man in Inazuma? He could just erase the records. Order the Shuumatsuban to destroy any proof of the divorce and subtly implant the idea that it was just a very, very bad lover’s spat in the mind of the populace. After all, who would dare question him about the details of his own marriage and risk the consequence of such an insult? Not even your family would dare to disagree with his version of events, they’d be delighted for any connection to him and it would salvage their honor.
After all, who would believe you were divorced when he disappeared to your home everyday? A home he helped you procure and build, a home you never rejected him from entering, a home that many people of the Kamisato clan knew of and would periodically visit, whether it be the servants who liked to chat with you, the samurai who helped ensure the safety of the house, that Ayaka and Thoma had even sat down and dined in with Ayato on your birthday? No one would believe you two were on such bad terms as to be divorced when you fit so well together now.
And anyone who dared to remind others of that... well, the Shuumatsuban were under confidentiality agreements for a reason.
:O your brain is so galaxy!!! This idea is incredible!!

Yan!Childe and his fatui wife darling with the kids who refuse to recognize him as the papa remind me of this dynamic (and crack appearances from other harbingers?? 😳😳😳)
Childe: *gets down on one knee*
Darling: omg... its finally happening!
Childe: *falls over*
Darling: the poison’s finally kicking in!
- one visit to Dottore later -
Dottore: so yeah the combo of the poison you fed him and the alcohol he drank last night just made him extra drunk so he blacked out.
Darling: Tsaritsa dammit.
Scaramouche (who is there for archons know why): I told you to put it in his tea you shouldve listened.
Signora: not that I care in any shape or form, but are you going to be fine when he wakes up?
Darling: *shrugs* eh, well, you know. Its Childe.
Dottore: stop poisoning your husband and getting injured my lab is for experiments not fixing you two dumbass up after a spat!
Scaramouche: you’re the only one with a medical degree here, its your job.
LOL YES!!! Everyone’s ready to party the moment Childe collapses, especially his darling because it feels like a relief that he’s finally out of her life. But then he wakes up later and she’s just so bummed that it didn’t work.
