My husband! He’s here. And he lives rent-free in my subconscious (pretty impressive considering the economy)- I have arguably too many thoughts on this man, spinning him in my head like a microwave does food.

I love this man so much but the thing I’ve really sunk my teeth into is his relationship to the theatre/‘this is a play’ aspect of Pathologic Classic.
It’s very much unique to his route and it carries so many implications for this man to actually just fully be aware than none of this shit is ‘real’.
Obviously, a personal favourite part of this is Daniil and Mark’s immortal (pun intended) beef with one another- these guys absolutely HATE one another, low key want the other dead or gone (Mark says he’s glad Daniil will be leaving and Daniil tells Mark that if he could’ve, he would’ve killed him in the Day 12 convo, which is in of itself just an entirely wild conversation)- but also they also make jokes to each other about what their lines are supposed to be and the set design and the theatre because they’re the only ones aware of the play meta - truely the most frenemies to ever frenemy.
But in a serious light Daniil figuring out the play is actually such an interesting aspect to his character and I’ve yet to see anyone else really dig into it.
Because while Mark Immortal talking about the theatre to Daniil is him essentially breaking character (in the other two routes he places no indication about the true nature of the theatre, implying his character’s role is that of an actual theatre director with weird, maybe kinda prophetic, plays), this isn’t The Bachelor’s actor breaking character and talking as the actor’s true self, but pretty blatantly Daniil Dankovsky The Character becoming aware of the play and that’s kinda wild.
And it holds so many implications to how his character acts in regard to fate and free will. Like The Powers That Be, while there’s absolutely an argument that Daniil’s denial in regards to being a toy of the Powers could just be him attempting to deal with the eldritch horror of it all, I think there’s pretty good reason to argue that it actually has to do with his somewhat meta-awareness (of the play).
While Daniil acknowledges that his character is a toy in the narrative, it could be argued that he knows he isn’t REALLY a toy, because this aspect is part of a play’s plot rather than the actual reality of him being an actor in a play. Which to me fits fairly well into his pre-established character trait of seeking the truth, The Bachelor doesn’t seem the type to actively attempt to deny reality when presented with evidence, no matter how discomforting it may be, so I feel as though his insistence to the developers of not being a toy is less so denial and more so him telling (what he perceives to be) the theatre troupe that he knows the toy storyline isn’t real- that he’s aware he’s in a play.
It also, interestingly enough, supports his ideas surrounding fighting the concept of inevitability and his disbelief in anything that claims otherwise (such as the Mistresses’ claimed clairvoyance abilities which heavy imply that the future is set in stone enough that it can been ‘seen’)- as Mark directly tells the Bachelor that the script hasn’t been written yet, and is dependent on his actions, alongside with the Bone Stake Lot quest in which Mark tells Daniil that he isn’t the one who made that set, it was the other characters who did that- ultimately supporting Daniil’s concepts of free will and the ability to ‘defeat’ things deemed by others to be inevitable (like death and fate).
(Also, speaking of the game developers, I 100% interpret the in-character Bachelor lines as him attempting to interact with the developers as though they are normal tragedians and executors. Because Daniil knows there is a layer of reality above the story (the theatre), and that’s what the tragedians and executors hint to and know, but he isn’t aware of the actual reality of it all being a video game. He thinks they’re like Mark Immortal, aware of the play, but in actuality they’re above that.)
But back to Mark Immortal and Daniil Dankovsky’s relationship, I find it really interesting how Mark approaches Daniil being meta aware, because on the one hand, he is joking around with Daniil, for example his Day 12 convo:
And then only a few lines later (after Daniil starts bringing up Mark’s involvement in his fate):
Which kind of blatantly shows that while Mark thinks that Daniil knowing is fun, he’s also fully aware that this was not his intention and would be annoying to deal with long term because of what Daniil could do with that knowledge.
#this is all to say#I’ve started playing Pathologic 2#and I think that Pathologic 2 Artemiy Burakh and Pathologic 1 Daniil Dankovsky need to meet#I think they’d be happy to not be the only one getting stalked by tragedians and executors#and being way too aware of the meta#I also think they’d kill Mark Immortal#y’know. as a fun bonding exercise#I also think they would kiss but y’all aren’t ready for that take#(neither am I. it’s half baked by the fact I’ve only made it midway to day 2)#(but from the vibes I’m getting from Patho 2 Artemiy I think he’d benefit greatly from a Patho 1 Daniil)#pathologic#daniil dankovsky#mark immortell#(not tagging Artemiy because he’s only present in my tags)#tag

yours truly has had an #illness which means I've had time for a proof of concept of an idea the Pathologic Modding Discord has had floating around for a while... the Bound Location Randomizer. Every (*accessible) major NPC moved to a randomly selected house, with map markers and executor locations updated to match. Ready-to-install Script and Scene files are automatically generated via Python. It doesn't handle dialogue, quest-based visits, or the trigger that makes Viktor interactable... yet, but that won't stop me.
Join me in one hour (1pm EST) at https://twitch.tv/rathologic as I test the first few days of a Changeling route playthrough with Bound locations randomized :-)

Hi minzi I'm here for BCBC but your recent post with your OC art with them spilling the tea... I need to know more about these two lads, I am Intrigued
First things, I'm really happy your are enjoying the fic, second:
YOU ARE ASKING ABOUT MY OCS?!
[The artist has recieved the green card to bonb oc lore, be ready for a long read bellow]
ANYWAYS THOSE TWO MY BELOVEDSSSS, easily the favorite children
Left: Mia, 24, she/her, changeling
Right: Prince(oficial name to be decided yet), 23, he/him(for now), "demon"/kobolt(gotta see if the race is trademarked but if not then its the official name)

They are a duo from the adult arc of a comic I'm writting :D, got the first 5 volumes(bela lua chronicles), the child arc, in a nice time-line, and am currently working on the script of volume 1, got to chapter 3
These two, in that form, are only going to apear after volume 5, so in the adult arc
However, Mia(Miranda) will appear as one of the main characters in kid form:

^ this is her with her brother( jointed households tipe of thing) Cadu, the main main boy, she is 13 he is 12 there
Prince will be at maybe hinted at in volume 3 or 5, since one of his uncles is one of the main treats of this story
IN SHORT CONTEXT: since 13, after the events of the main story, Mia is kept under constant surveillance and experiments of an organization dedicated to hunt down ocultist and demons, for now they are called EXECUTORS
Meanwhile, in the main story, we follow Cadus perspective in the adult arc as he joins the EXECUTORS, like his father before him, and his curent antagonist is King(place holder name bc Princes father isn't named yet), and his many attempts of settling and conquering human cities
Cadu up to that point in theory won't have a narrative foil, he is the next generation, and his mentor is to have direct paralels and attitudes with King, hence Prince enters the game

His first introduction is to be his charade, he is cunning, he is flamboyant, he is always demanding attention and is the second head of the kingdom, his father is very busy with conquering so he is left with having to deal with the political swing and senators bullshit, as well as paperwork
That, his upbeat and arrogant attitude, is not his personality, it's his mask, he, like his father, is born with a condition, no matter how many human souls he consumes(the magic sistem: demon eats human soul? Gains magic powers, human eats demon soul? Gains magic powers), he will never be able to use magic, so he has to play and bluff his way to keep power and his fathers favoritism(the concept of heir is different for them)
That makes him weak, that makes him a target, he has to dela with ridicule constantly and fight with words only to maintain the minimal respect he has gained, he is, at the end of the day stressed as fuck, and since he can only work, and deal with the hierach stupidity, he has few loyal allies(read friends)
And that's where Mia comes in
One day his father gets a plan, he needs the EXECUTORS distracted from his affairs, so, what better distraction than a prison break out of the most dangerous ocultist?
Sending his son(who he knows is damn good at infiltration and a sneaky little shit) to make the break out while he leads a raid in a human city, that's when Prince meets Mia
At the deeps of the EXECUTORS prison cells, lies a woman, a beast in human form, the sole survivor of the cult The Esculptors, the first of her kind, a true first born, the only one who survived her own sacrifice, The first Daughter
The only one who didn't get out of her cell when the door opened, and that intrigues the Prince, since she was one of the five in solitary, in theory one of th deadliest, why isn't she going out?
"There is no place for me to go" she says
"... I could give you one" he answers
And that's how Prince has now an "attack dog", and soon, a very loyal friend, loyalty that he,against all he has done up until that point to himself and others, reciprocate in the same note:

Him and Mia are gonna be the "vilain main duo" to Cadu and Emily(his best friend and... ex-complicated aituationship with Mia), the next generation that will pick and change the world, that kinda stuff
In Cadu and Emily, we explore the EXECUTORS side, the things going on behind the scenes where we learn that "demons" and humans are the damn same, exploring the magic system. While in Prince and Mias's side, we explore the cultural difference, the political intrigue, the why's of the two worlds being apart and the revelation that actualy love these two world are unnaturally apart they should be one and the same so let's merge them again
Princes arc is gonna be to create a stable support sistem for him to be himself, those clotes in the art are in his mid term, still eye-catching but not as much as they were, bc he prefers more dark and neutral colors
A fun thing I want to make them is that... well, it is me we are talking about I love gender non conforming pairs, they are my jam, and I decided to explore that in the cultural diference, as clotes
Mia, to human standards is very much a bunch/masc inclined, baggy clotes, monochrome colors, generic sports gear, but to "demons", that I have as base the fact that male cobras are vibrant and female cobras are more muted colors, is text book example of femininity, and that's important bc in the child arc, and why in canon Emily and Mia would never work, is that femininity in masculinity is Mia whole thing

In the child arc, Emily ^, has a big crush on Mia, the way she shows this is by trying to share extreme feminine things with her, she wants Mia to wear feminine clothes bc she thinks she would look cuter in them, very innocent stuff, but the problem is... she is pushy and that drives Mia away, she likes being sporty, she likes being neutral, she likes baggy clothes, selfsteam is not an inssue the inssue is people being pushy with their wants over hers
And that continues in the adult arc, when Emily discovers Mia is alive and looking like this:

The little crush resurges and now that she is older she knows what it is officially, while Cadu is in denial that's his sister, Emily is in denial Mia is by her own choice with the "demons" and wants her back so badly, but Mia... never considered Emily important, that was Cadu and he... is not well, not in great terms right now, so any talk she has with the woman is only testing her patience, and when she explodes is the epitome of Emily finaly moving on and changing and Mia opening up to Prince
Then we got Prince, wearing vibrant colors, very much eye-catching mannerisms and "personality", that is him playing the part as very masculine and "dangerous", in reality he is very quiet and prefers monochrome tones, and only after solidifying this loyalty that is happening between him and Mia is when he will start to open up and be more authentic, bc now if someone insults him, and he can't lay a finger in them bc politic stuff and allies, Mia will, she has cultivated the attack dog persona for a reason

Do yeah, that's Mia and Prince sumirazed lore, leaving her child arc story, his problem with his dad and mom, the political rivalry, just the important beats that these two will play on and with each other
She is the Dragon to his Villain, the comander to his army, he is the second chance of humanity, the fellow ankward social bean
They are romantic/queerplatonic(depending in my mood) but will never even kiss or say ilu in canon story♡
My gender nonconforming traumatized children♡
For any other demon Mia is apathetic and a danger, for Prince she is just an introverted
For any other demon Prince is an annoying attention seeking whore, for Mia he is just an introverted forced to be an ambverted
She has to drag him to bed bc his workaholic ass has to double shift since his dearest dad has not yet answered three piles of paper work since last week, he has to remind her and force her to eat since, you know, losing all that was dear to her(saw her mom die, and explosion to her face making ehr lose half of it and a limb, as well as thinking Cadu was dead) at age 12 has fucked up her brain so hard she sometimes gets back to the bad cycle that was prison of selfstarvation
They will make each other better much to the despair of everyone else(the demon concil, the Executors, Princes rivals, Mias depresion demons etc)
#minz ocs#you have bo idea how happy i am that someone asked about them#THANK U SO MUCH FOR THE RAMBLE OPPRTUNITY#hope u like them#to humans they are yaoi to demons they are yuri. send text#the veil chronicles

The prop used for Barbara Reynolds' Will in "Dennis and Dee's Mom is Dead"
It's mostly the script repeated and then standard legal clauses. It's interesting it does name Frank as the Executor because we know he isn't later on, as the Lawyer is in Season 8. And there's randomly a Codicil, with the same script language but adding and naming a son, "Frank Miller"... probably means nothing. (Weird, though, cos there's seemingly no sense in having a Codicil with the exact terms retyped, but handwritten language added...lol)
"County of Los Angeles, Pennsylvania" is taking me out.
#iasip#sunny 3#sunny props#dennis and dees mom is dead#means nothing really but i like these things#also like ok idk its weird to me the codicil thing#cos thats a purposefully typed document#whereas the rest is clearly script and then pasted legal language#wtf is the point of the codicil who is frank miller i just#no it doesnt mean anything let me stop

ik u already talked ab general pjo hcs but i was wondering if u had any connor hcs that weren't already mentioned in that
yesss ofc! connor is my all time fav so obviously i do!! as always warning for connalia.
he's biromantic bisexual
connor, malcolm, will, drew, travis friend group ftw! he'd consider (not including travis) drew to be his best friend.
he's really overprotective over members of the hermes cabin and unclaimed/previously unclaimed that had a long stay there
connor and travis are founding members of 'the council of prophetic prophecy predictors'
scent wise i imagine he'd smell woodsy, cottonwood mostly
while he mainly listens to arctic monkeys & ariana grande i also imagine he likes similar artists! some fontaines dc, sleep token, white stripes, car seat headrest, but also tate mcrae and dua lipa
he also loves 2000s/2010s pop songs
he's really good at weaving/braiding: braiding hair, but he makes a lot of woven bracelets! he's always got a few bracelets on each wrist and he gifts them to people too
connor and travis's mom died when they were young so they were on the street until a satyr picked them up and brought them to camp
he's the mastermind for most of his and travis's pranks, travis is the executor. connor prefers absurdist pranks i.e. putting bouillon in showerheads and bedazzling the ares cabin's weapons. though this is definitely due to trauma (or a wake up call lmao) from annabeth and the spider incident
obviously im a connalia truther but connor is a hopeless romantic and has had fleeting crushes on like half of camp: percy ofc; annabeth for like 2 minutes; drew; silena; malcolm (this is the only connor ship other than connalia i like lmao); will.
along with that i imagine he's a bit of a camp heartthrob (both of the stolls but everyone knows travis is down bad for katie so they shoot their shot with connor instead). still i imagine him not getting into many relationships (because of thalia? yes) but he's really nice when rejecting you anyway (and then afterwards drew goes up to them and is all 'yk hes down bad for a tree' and ruins it)
the majority of his trauma is ofc abandonment issues and the guy suffers from attachment anxiety. he's really clingy (both emotionally and physically), this has a lot to do with his dad of course!
he's a really, really good cook, he's just too lazy to do it most of the time
i imagine he'd major in some form of marketing or business and would want to be a lawyer as a pipe dream but end up being a killer salesman for something somewhere or the head of a marketing team (following my tratie b&b hc he could do their business for them lol)
he's a cinephile and extremely, extremely dramatic about movies: lighting, script, acting, etc. he's a whole nerd. he's definitely on letterboxd too and swings wildly between stupid one liner reviews and extremely in depth ones
power wise he doesn't have much: agility, really good reflexes, lock picking, he's good with money. he's also a really good smooth talker and only later realizes this has a bit to do with his hermes powers! okay thats all for now!!

Since that post about Martha Gellhorn is popular here's a post about another writer who is more interesting than Hemingway.
Dawn Powell on the beach, circa 1914.
Tim Page, the Estate of Dawn Powell
This is the third story in The Unmarked Graveyard: Stories from Hart Island series from Radio Diaries. You can listen to the next installment on All Things Considered next Monday, and read and listen to previous stories in the series here.
Dawn Powell infiltrated the writing world by hanging out in bars and taverns around New York's Greenwich Village in the 1920s, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Ernest Hemingway and Edmund Wilson.
"She came from nowhere, she was no one," writer Fran Lebowitz told Radio Diaries.
But Powell had a voice. She had style. And she rose from obscurity by turning her gaze on the city of New York itself and its cast of characters. Over the coming decades, Powell wrote novels, diaries and more than a dozen plays — earning her renown, and even a National Book Award nomination.
Then, in 1965, she died. What happened next didn't go according to script.
A voice lost to the world
Powell had been clear in her will: she wanted her body to be donated to the Weill Cornell Medical Center for research. Yet five years after her death, when Cornell asked her executor, Jacqueline Rice, what to do with her remains, Rice left the decision up to the center.
So, unbeknownst to her family and friends, Powell was buried on New York's Hart Island — America's largest public cemetery. Then, all of her work went out of print.
A generational talent of New York was buried in its heart, but lost to the world and those who knew her.
Powell circa 1930, and an entry in her diary circa 1914.
Tim Page, the Estate of Dawn Powell
Hart Island, located off the coast of the Bronx, has no headstones and no plaques. It's often seen as a place for those who went unrecognized in their lifetime — not for well-known writers.
Powell had been writing stories since she was a child. Growing up in Ohio, she endured considerable emotional abuse from her stepmother and often used writing as an escape. In 1918, she left Ohio for New York City, with dreams of being a writer.
"She knew that she was smart enough, good enough to be very good in New York, which is the most competitive place in the world," Lebowitz said.
Powell's humble beginnings in the bars of Greenwich Village turned into a career. In the coming years, she wrote witty pieces on New York life for magazines like The New Yorker and Esquire. Her career picked up steam when she began writing novels about New York: satirical, risque fiction about people who'd come to the city from a small town and indulged in its joys and vices. Her most well known novels include A Time to Be Born (1942) and The Wicked Pavilion (1954).
"She was a very smart, tough, sarcastic, woman who put all of that into her books," said Tim Page, a critic and author of Dawn Powell: A Biography. "She made fun of millionaires and communists. She basically thought human beings were silly and frivolous, but she loved them."
Powell's writing reflected her personal life. Her characters were often young people who ached for success and recognition, but rarely got it. Though her work was in the public eye (her last novel, The Golden Spur, was a finalist for the 1963 National Book Award), she did not reach the level of fame of other writers, male or female, in her era.
"Some critics thought she was mean," Page said. "All the very famous women writers were usually ending their stories with a man and a woman falling in love and living happily thereafter. Dawn had seen enough of life to realize, well, sometimes that's the case but it's not what usually happens in the world."
Powell's diary, December 1932.
Tim Page, the Estate of Dawn Powell
Powell struggled with money for much of her life. She and her husband, Joseph Gousha, had a disabled son who needed costly medical care. By the end of her life, she also needed medical care of her own. She developed intestinal cancer, which led to her death.
While her will was specific about her body going to the Weill Cornell Medical Center, it didn't specify what to do with her body after its donation. In addition to being Powell's general executor, Jacqueline Rice was also her literary co-executor, largely responsible for her literary estate. When her client died, Rice simply stopped responding to inquiries from publishers and filmmakers. It was some time before Rice told Powell's family about where she had ended up.
Years later, Powell's great-niece Vicki Johnson was told by her mother about the burial on Hart Island, also known as a Potter's Field.
"My mom told me it was a Potter's Field, and it was just a place where people are buried who didn't have any money or no family to take care of them," Johnson said. "My grandparents would have certainly found a better resting place for her than where she was buried."
The effort to bring Powell's work back
Powell isn't the only well-known person buried on Hart Island. There's former child actor Bobby Driscoll, who starred in some of the most iconic Disney films of the time, like Treasure Island and Peter Pan — and even won a Juvenile Oscar by the age of 13.
Driscol fell into a pattern of substance abuse and run-ins with the law in his teenage years, ranging from drug smuggling to assault. He was found dead in his Greenwich Village apartment at 31. When no one claimed his body, he ended up on Hart Island.
The cemetery is also home to Rachel Humphreys — the muse and lover to Lou Reed, and the inspiration for several songs on his album Coney Island Baby. Though her official cause of death remains unknown, Humphreys died at the age of 37 at St. Clare's hospital, known for housing AIDS patients. Hers was among the many bodies sent to Hart Island during the AIDS epidemic.
Johnson and others insist Powell wouldn't have minded being buried at Hart Island.
"I think she'd be a little amused by the fact that she's buried with a Disney star and a rock and roller," Page said. "She loved New York. She told the truth about New York and I'm not sure she'd want to be anywhere else."
Dawn Powell circa late 1940s, early 1950s.
Tim Page, the Estate of Dawn Powell
Though Powell's descendants have chosen not to remove her body from Hart Island, there has been a considerable effort to unbury her work. In 1987, her writer and friend, Gore Vidal, published an article in The New York Review of Books, praising Powell as one of American literature's lost greats. The article ignited interest in Powell in the writing world.
Steerforth Press also published a volume of Powell's diaries, edited by Page, in 1998. The Library of America put nine of her novels back in print in 2001.
These days, Powell has gained a cult-like following. Celebrities like Julia Roberts and Anjelica Huston have tried turning her books into films, and she's gotten a shout-out on the TV show Gilmore Girls.
"There will come a time when people will realize that she's one of America's greatest writers," Page said.
This story was produced by Mycah Hazel of Radio Diaries. It was edited by Deborah George, Ben Shapiro and Joe Richman. Thanks also to Nellie Gilles, Alissa Escarce, and Lena Engelstein of Radio Diaries.
This story is the third in a series called The Unmarked Graveyard: Stories from Hart Island. You can find other stories from Hart Island on the Radio Diaries Podcast.

Black Cat
Goodbye Poetries Side A: The Black Crow
by Bobby Yusuf
Small bed, your room, it sounds like a fit Twin-eared, bad vision, it's funny I can see that big face grabbed by small hands Not yours, in my touch, you're squared
While you touch my back cheeks, I know your purpose, I can't stand myself It's spiraled, like a script reader I said this boy's gonna know how
Once my bleeding stops, I'm gonna bleed it again And I'll make you feel sorry I can make you think you're mine
Once my bleeding stops, I'm gonna bleed yours for no reason Still, I'll make you feel bad as hell Boy, here I’m talking to this small ear
Acting up with good shit One time, honey, it's game over But I can just say I'll play it again Just wait a minute
Once you propose to me, I'm gonna say yes, baby And I'll make you feel happy I can make your head and hands be cuffed
Once you propose to me, I'm gonna say yes for no reason And I'll make you feel so sad I can make your lips bite this metal chain
I can read your mind and say it all But I'm afraid I'll impress you so much For the first game, I may not get the first But baby, I say I got precious gold, it's you
Our familiarity, I don't understand Signed black cat, black crow, he's a blue man How you're such a good executor And I'm that narrator
One minute and I'm gonna stitch my bleed One chance, and you’re gonna marry me But I'm afraid you'll be too in love And I’ll win something I wanted hard.

Mass Effect 2 replay, part 1 of the Citadel:
-As others have noted, it’s odd Shepard is even allowed to dock a Cerberus ship. Let’s put that down as Anderson’s influence.
-Even Kasumi is insisting this must be the real Shepard. She can tell by Shepard’s presence.
The game is really pushing that Shepard is real; was this in the original script or did play testers assume Shepard would turn out to be a clone or the like and these scattered insistences about Shepard were attempts at damage control?
-Femshep’s voice acting at the start of ME2 is much weaker than it was in ME1. I always notice this. It gets better at some point, but the difference between the end of ME1 and the start of ME2 is jarring.
-Paraphrased:
C-Sec guard: sorry, but I can’t let you a board a shuttle with that
Turian: But this is a ceremonial item of my people!
C-Sec guard; Sir, it’s a 15 centimeter serrated blade.
That probably is a ceremonial item for turians. Which is still regularly used as a weapon.
-Increased security, and C-Sec still lets the dead in. Because no one’s ever tried to pass themself off as a dead person before.
-I’m not fond of Bailey. Odd because I love Garrus and they’re both corrupt cops, but Bailey feels higher on the sleaze factor.
Maybe it’s because Garrus is introduced investigating Saren and saving Dr. Michel and Bailey is introduced encouraging fellow cops to beat up prisoners.
Pretty sure Executor Pallin wouldn’t approve of Bailey.
-And here is Bailey also insisting that Shepard is real. Because the DNA scanners say so. Because cloning hasn’t been established to be real in Mass Effect.
Did the writers just forget about Dr. Saleon? And how he cloned organs inside of living people?
All this insistence that Shepard is real just feels very out of place when nothing comes of it. I’d have preferred if the game just glossed over it completely, instead of reassurances with no weight behind them.
-And Bailey has zero concern about Shepard because they’re hero. And as we know, heroes are above suspicion and never need to be investigated.
Let’s just ignore Saren, who was one of the council’s most trusted agents and recently tried to murder them.
Was Bailey seriously the only choice available for captain?
-Hmm. Renegade Shepard complains that the Council made no effort to confirm their death.
Shepard, you were spaced. Assuming you were dead is reasonable. One of the few points the game is consistent on is that you were, for all practical, purposes dead when Cerberus got their hands on you. There’s a reason the project was called the Lazarus project.
-Bailey, paraphrased: I’m with them [formalities] until they keep people from doing their jobs.
Bailey, formalities normally exist for good reasons. Like, for example, ensuring that cops don’t torture people. Or to verify that a person who comes back from the “dead” is really that person.
-And he calls the Council “scaly asses”. Let’s just add racism to the bingo board.
-Bailey, paraphrased: Policing a ward is like policing New York City. Sometimes you have to work outside the Council’s rulebook.
Did the writers not know the reputation of New York City police? Or the police in most major cities, for that matter?
It’s not hard to understand why a turian politician later runs on an anti-human platform in the Zakera ward. Bailey, and by extension his force, is not a shining example of humanity.
-Zakera ward is the minority ward. The other wards are dominated by asari, turians, and salarians. Interesting. Good justification for the all the humans seen in it and why Shepard docked there.
-There are human captains in C-Sec because of the Battle of the Citadel.
Bailey, paraphrased: We had the most experienced bodies.
Humans have been in the galactic community for less than 30 years, but they have the most experienced C-Sec personnel to promote? Really?
Not the asari that live a millennia, the turians who created C-Sec, the salarians that have been here near the start, or the hanar or volus that have been around for much longer than humanity?
That humans were promoted after the officers lost in the Battle of the Citadel and their role in stopping Saren, I can believe. That they were promoted because they were the most experienced I doubt.
-The transient dialogue on the Citadel is a joy. ME2’s and ME3’s writing tends to shine in these kind of conversations.
Love the krogans debating if there are fish on the presidium, and how they should kill turians for believing that all krogans are dangerous.
And the turian refusing to have the lifespan talk with his asari partner.
-The Zakara Cafe turian shopkeeper knows about Ardat-Yakshi. They’re not as much of a secret as the asari like to believable – and that’s to be expected, considering the asari have been part of a multi species society for over a millennia. You’re not going to keep something like that a secret for that long.
-I enjoy the News Reports by Emily Wong and the Galactic News, and I’m happy I can now cycle through all of them. No more RNG based on elevator rides.
However, I wish I could either read them or listen to them as I move. Needing to stay nearby as they play is annoying.
-The Galactic News mentions Toombs, the Cerberus scientist that he wanted to kill, and that Cerberus may have been involved in killing Admiral Kohaku. Good to see this at least mentioned, after all off Cerberus’ activities in ME1 have been downplayed so far.
-The Galactic News says that the combai VI on Luna was not intentionally upgraded to full AI status, so the Alliance will not likely be prosecuted. Interesting – Hackett insisted in ME1 that it was just a VI. When was it determined that it was a full AI?
-The Galactic News says that Kate Bowman – rescued in Bring Down the Sky – will read a thank you for the Alliance soldiers who rescued her.
No mention that it was Shepard who rescued her? And interesting that it specifies Alliance soldiers, when Shepard is a spectre.
-Rachni vessels have been spotted. Where did these go in ME3?
I suppose they could be the ships the rachni used to get to the Crucible, but the Breeder gets there too and couldn’t have built the ships mentioned here.
-Interesting how ads list key words to find a website by, rather than provide a URL
-I want to see the awful movie made about the Battle of the Citadel.
-Avina says the only shop on the dock level is the souvenir shop. So much for Zakera Cafe, which has the high quality ingredients you need for a side quest.
-The Council might not like Udina, but they prefer him to Anderson. Not surprising – Udina understands how to play the game.
-Anderson says there’s no evidence for the Reapers outside of Shepard’s reports. Good to see someone acknowledge eyewitness reports aren’t the most reliable evidence.
-If you go paragon, Sparatus points out that the Terminus systems are beyond the Council’s authority and humanity colonizes it at their own risk.
Again: When did humanity start colonizing the Terminus systems?
I’m just going to assume this started after Shepard died.
Regardless, Sparatus is right here. And this is consistent with ME1 – the Council wants nothing to do with the Terminus Systems.
-Shepard says the geth would never have followed Saren, since Saren is organic.
I’m not certain about that. The geth don’t do emotions the way other species do; they may follow an organic if they believe it to be logical. They’re just extremely skeptical that it would ever be in their interests to do so.
However, this is a reasonable assumption for Shepard to make at this point.
-Tevos: You are working with Cerberus – an avowed enemy of the Council. This treason, a capitol offense.
She’s not wrong. The Council offering to reinstate Shepard as a spectre is quite an olive branch, considering – and one made by Sparatus. Usually it would be Tevos offering such a compromise.
-Anderson is very quick to defend Shepard. He’s definitely the reason why the Normandy could even dock.
-Everyone’s very blunt that the title is just ceremonial, however. No need for Shepard to even bother filing reports. Ah, well. Still get the privileges of the title.
-Udina’s right that Shepard is a political nightmare, especially if Shepard went renegade in the conversation with the Council.
The first human spectre working for a human supremacist group cannot be good for pr.
-From what Anderson says, Udina is doing the real work. Probably why the Council wants to work with him. Udina knows who to speak to to get things done, Udina’s attending the various functions…
-The Citadel is still dependent on the keepers for rebuilding. Please tell me someone is now officially researching them, at least.
-Sovereign’s wreckage is everywhere, and you just know people made off with as much of it as they could.
No wonder Cerberus was able to make a coup attempt in ME3. There must be so many indoctrinated people on the Citadel by that point, and destabilizing the central government is part of the Reaper’s modus operandi.
-And when asked about Kaidan, Anderson says that while Shepard is with Cerberus they can’t be told everything.
And warns Shepard not to trust Cerberus when the conversation ends.
After the Cerberus apologism through the first part of the game, hearing them treated with suspicion on the Citadel is a huge relief.
-Hmm. On a surface level, the Council does appear to not believe in the Reapers at this point.
And I’m not certain they do – the Reapers are quite a lot to swallow without hard evidence.
However, I do think it’s reasonable to take away from the meeting that the Council was stonewalling Shepard due to their Cerberus connections. They were never going to trust Shepard with anything they considered important while they were with Cerberus.
The Council very reasonably could be preparing for a war and not disclose any of that to Shepard. After all – the geth came from the Perseus Veil. If they really believe the geth created Sovereign, what’s to say there aren’t more Sovereigns beyond the Veil?
They could be quietly moving to get on war footing to prepare to go to war with the geth. I find it very odd that there are no mentions of the Veil – no mentions if ships have been coming or going from it, no mentions of sending in a survey team to confirm if there are more geth there. You expect me to believe that after the geth attacked the Citadel the STG did not scramble to gather every scrap of information possible on the geth?
And as we confirm in this game, there are a shitton of geth behind the veil. If they were hostile and capable of creating Sovereigns, C-Space would be fucked. Assuming the STG confirmed their existence, the Council is probably preparing to take them on.
From their perspective, the human colonies in the Terminus systems aren’t their problem. That’s out of their jurisdiction. If Shepard wants to pursue them, fine – it gets them out of C-Space. If Shepard saves them while being a spectre, even better; good publicity for the Council.
So if Shepard’s reinstated as a spectre, I think the conversation with the Council went about as well as it could at this point. Both sides are annoyed at each other for ignoring the real issue at hand, and want the other out of their hair while they focus on the important problems.

lore accurate classic hd mod where using/giving someone a shmowder will either a) heal them! yay! b) do nothing or c) actually kill them fr this time
I'M WORKING ON THIS I've had half eaten scraps of assembly for Risky Shmowders (variable percentage chance for different outcomes when the player consumes a shmowder) laying around for a bit... dealing with NPCs, especially Actually Killing them, is harder for many reasons (variables + events have to be handled to set someone as "dead", and the randomness would need to be implanted into the existing Executor item-handoff script). but the player version is the relatively simple "learn to write p1 assembly from scratch" task I've been putting off for ages
#finally starting to have time for patho again but this mod's by far secondary to other projects I have in mind... if you want to do it I'll#give you tips#asks#anonymous#modding

Delta Executor: Everything You Need to Know About This Roblox Script Executor
Introduction: If you’re an avid Roblox player looking to enhance your gaming experience, you may have come across Delta Executor. This popular tool allows players to execute scripts in Roblox, providing a way to unlock hidden features, customize gameplay, and perform actions that are typically restricted. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced user, this guide will cover everything you need to know about Delta Executor, from what it is to how you can use it safely.
What is Delta Executor? Delta Executor is a Roblox script executor, meaning it lets you run custom Lua scripts in Roblox games. These scripts can be used for a variety of purposes, such as automating actions, customizing your avatar, or even exploiting certain game mechanics. It’s important to note that script executors like Delta are often used to alter the way games function, which can give players advantages but also may violate Roblox’s terms of service if used improperly.
While Delta Executor is not officially supported by Roblox, it remains a popular tool among many users for its ability to unlock new possibilities in the game.
How to Download and Install Delta Executor:
Step 1: Find a Trusted Source
The first thing you need to do is download Delta Executor from a legitimate source https://deltaexecutor.com.br/delta-exploit/. Avoid third-party websites that seem suspicious or poorly maintained, as they might distribute malicious files. It’s crucial to find a reliable and trustworthy website to ensure the safety of your device.
Step 2: Disable Antivirus Temporarily
Some antivirus programs may flag Delta Executor as a potential threat because it allows code injection into Roblox. You may need to temporarily disable your antivirus software during the installation process.
Step 3: Download and Extract the Files
Once you’ve found a trustworthy source, download the Delta Executor file (typically in a zip format). After downloading, extract the contents of the zip file to a folder on your computer.
Step 4: Launch Delta Executor
Open the extracted folder and double-click the Delta Executor application. The tool should launch, and you’ll be presented with a user interface that allows you to input and execute your scripts.
Step 5: Execute Scripts
Once Delta Executor is up and running, you can paste or upload any custom Lua script you want to run in Roblox. After pasting the script, click on the “Execute” button, and the script will be executed within the Roblox game.
Features of Delta Executor: Delta Executor offers several notable features that make it popular among Roblox players:
User-Friendly Interface: Delta Executor provides an intuitive and easy-to-use interface, making it accessible for both beginners and advanced users.
Fast Execution: Scripts are executed quickly, allowing you to modify Roblox games with minimal lag.
Compatibility with Most Scripts: Delta Executor supports most Roblox Lua scripts, providing flexibility and a wide range of customization options.
Free to Use: Unlike some other script executors, Delta Executor is free, allowing players to access its features without spending any money.
Risks and Precautions: While Delta Executor can enhance your Roblox experience, it’s important to be aware of the risks:
Violation of Roblox’s Terms of Service: Roblox has strict rules against exploiting and using third-party software that alters game functionality. Using Delta Executor to cheat or exploit in games can result in your account being banned or suspended.
Security Risks: Downloading executors from untrustworthy sources can expose your device to malware or other security threats. Always ensure that you're downloading the tool from a reputable website.
Account Suspension: If you use Delta Executor in games that violate Roblox’s rules, your account may be at risk. To avoid this, it’s a good idea to use Delta Executor for educational purposes or to test scripts in private games, not in public servers.
Tips for Safe Usage:
Use in Private Games: To avoid potential issues with your account, consider using Delta Executor in private games or testing environments rather than public Roblox servers.
Stick to Trusted Sources: Always download Delta Executor from official or well-known sites to ensure you're not downloading malicious software.
Be Aware of Legal Consequences: Understand that using Delta Executor to exploit games or cheat in Roblox could have consequences. Play responsibly and respect other players' experiences.
Conclusion: Delta Executor is a powerful tool that allows Roblox players to run custom scripts and enhance their gaming experience. However, it’s important to use it responsibly and be aware of the risks involved, especially in terms of violating Roblox’s terms of service. Always make sure to download from trusted sources, and consider using it in private settings to avoid potential penalties. With the right precautions, Delta Executor can provide endless fun and creativity within the Roblox universe.
