Finally finished sweet tooth s3. Having incredibly mixed feelings

#love the show. love it a lot. about to be a bitch in the tags anyways #it was. so so messy. they needed another season so bad. the alaska trip took up so much of the comics #and that was with the previously established cast #in the show they introduced a million new characters. gave us no time to get to know them before they were thrown head first into the plot #and condensed an arc that was almost half of the comics into the span of like 5 episodes #my boy singh. oh how they massacred by boy #i mean. okay. in the context of the show the arc wasn't horrible for him.#but i think his survival in the comic and his dedication of his life to making up for the mistakes of his past by helping people and hybrids #would've been so much more powerful than his random self sacrifice at the end of the show.#bc honestly it just seems like another impulsive act in his moral flip flop he'd been having for the last few episodes #rather than active choice to be better #and honestly i wanted to see his delusional paranoid religious breakdown from the comics put to screen so bad #it would've been great #i do like that he turned against zhang the second she started trying to talk about rani. that shit slapped #the several fake outs about Jepp's death were so stupid and unnecessary and repetitive #why are you baiting everyone. you're going to piss off the hardcore comic fans waiting for his death and confuse the show fans #either commit to killing him or stop pretending like you're brave enough to do it #why did they flip back so hard into the mystical vaguely eco fascist backstory and outcome of the comic #after spending two seasons trying to build a more scientific and less 'humanity must end' story for two seasons straight #they tried to make it seem less 'humanity must die' again at the end by ending the virus #which i guess might've been the best outcome available considering the source material and the limitations of it's ending #but idk. it felt weird #the writing this season was so much less subtle. it felt like the characters were constantly monologing directly at the camera #nothing could be left unsaid everyone had to say exactly what they meant #and it was all moral lessons the writers were trying to feed directly to the audience #i feel like they wrote themselves into a corner at the end of the last season #and they expected to have at least one more season to write themselves out of it before the ending #and if not. if this was the plan since the beginning. literally what. WHAT.#can not imagine the people who wrote the last two seasons sitting down and writing this #it won't let me add more tags but i have more thoughts. many more. tumblr is silencing me for speaking the truth /j

Just finished my first playthrough of BG3. Romanced Lae'zel, but ending up turning into an Illithid because the idea of making Orpheus or Karlach do it didn't sit well with me (or my character).

I told Lae'zel to leave with Orpheus in the end (I heard she wouldn't stay with a ghaik anyway, which she's valid for, but also, it doesn't feel right to ask her to stay when I know how much her people mean to her). And like-

I know that, if I was in yttd (or Danganronpa) I wouldn’t survive one minute. If Shin has a 0.0% chance of surviving, I would have a -100.0% chance of surviving.

First of all, I’m not smart. I’m considerably stupid, actually. I’m too trusting, I’ve realized, and also too considerate. Even when picking choices in the games, I make sure to pick choices that wouldn’t hurt the other characters feelings and also choices that shows trust to them. Yes, the fictional characters. It hurts my heart to see them sad shut up

I’m also indecisive as shit (if that wasn’t obvious by the numerous amount of polls on this blog), to the point that just choosing options in the games, even if they won’t affect the story that much, would make me have to lean back in my chair for a moment and think about it. Mainly because I don’t want any characters to react badly to my choice

I’m a pushover too, if someone even slightly expressed that they would want one outcome, I would immediately go for that single outcome, even if it isn’t what I want. Because someone else wanted it. If someone asked me to do something I would do it with very little questions, and the questions would be about HOW TO DO THE ACTION. Like. If someone I liked asked me to steal from someone else (like their tokens or smth), I’d ask them how they expect me to do that. And maybe why. But if they don’t answer, I won’t push.

And then there’s my mindset. My first thought for surviving any kind of extreme disaster is: ‘Well. I wouldn’t’. Literally. It goes like this. Friend: “How would you survive the zombie apocalypse?” Me: “Hmm… I’d kill myself before a zombie could get to me” Friend: “oh.”

SO IMAGINE WHAT I’LL BE LIKE IF IT WAS REAL.

I’d be dead.

So dead.

And so embarrassingly fast too.

one thing that's always been so confusing to me for years now is the way people like overexaggerate how deku was treated in middle school and their whole middle school experience in general it's so ... 😭 like in order for them to push their own perception of bakugou (unapologetic villainous sadistic cruel bully who shows no sign of remorse and will never own up for or change his behaviour AKA people incapable of deducing what a character arc looks like and a pretty simple one at that) and sort of like i guess be like SEE... deku is a VICTIMMMM!!! and must be Saved and Nurtured or something. i would say it's woobifying him if he weren't the like protagonist lol.

like this isn't even about he and bakugou's relationship as is bc that's a whole other thing i just mean like. the other kids at their school poked fun at bakugou and didn't take him that seriously EITHER, no one was trembling in fear or letting him do whatever ... he wasn't Top Dog just because he was generally "popular" and to be honest from my perception i don't even think he was popular considering the way people reacted to him i think they all knew he was well. bakugou. they all also called him by his first name and willingly yelled at him and junk which is indicative of a more casual relationship lol not whatever it is ... fanon says. the two friends that were there even made a point to be like "well that was harsh weren't you childhood friends" when he told deku to jump off a roof.

i dunno it's just funny at this point when people act like it was this horrific particularly cruel school full of people who would beat deku every day and make him eat dirt when the whole point is it was kind of an incredibly average school where they all have known each other their whole lives and the casual cruelty of kids words and actions still having an affect on someone and their general self esteem and perception. "kids make fun of me [for being quirkless & wanting to be a hero]" like you don't need to exagerate or just plain make up harsher bullying scenarios just to get people to take deku as a protagonist seriously or something let alone if you're just doing it because you hate bakugou which is just like what the hell ever man. the notion that in order for him to overcome something bakugou needs to have ruined his life from when they were babies (categorically untrue and you don't understand anything going on w their friendship and the way it affects the narrative at ALL!) AND his mom neglects him or something (insane and you're all actually evil) and all might told him to kill himself as well (would have been funny as fuck to be honest but obviously not what happened) is so dumb and offensive to the actual story being told. and i mean above all else at the end of the day this is a shounen and they're a bunch of kids who are meant to be kids And kids act ... childishly. crazy. everyone needs to stop taking it so seriouslyyyyyy can we just be silly please...
