Top 10 kpop songs of September

오늘 조금 취해서 그래 - Youha. Coming in at #21 (wow I really did not listen to kpop this month) is a synth masterpiece!

有吗炒面 (ALGTR) - Lexie Liu. At #25 is a cpop synth masterpiece which I can now tell has the character you (3rd tone) meaning 'to have' and since there are no conjugations, subject is unknown (to me) as the first word, and ma (neutral tone) as the second which makes no sense (to me) cause I thought that the question particle had to be at the end of a sentence. But maybe not? Anyways.

MAGICIAN - Lexie Liu. At #27 another cpop synth piece with a magnificent opening. Chorus is okay.

Go Getter - VCHA. At #40 is a pre-release from JYP's new American girl group. I. I don't know what to say.

Illusion - aespa. At #46 is a great girl crush song with some killer sirens and a killer beat but some unfortunate lyrics.

That's it! Spotify doesn't show past top 50 and this is the first time that I couldn't get 10 kpop songs out of the top 50, so it ends here. Actual top 10 songs are a mix of Olivia Rodrigo (1, 2, 3, 5), Lorde (4, 7, 8, 9, 10) and Taylor Swift (6).

SEPTEMBER RECAP

I am very very happy! Busy month, but overall September was nice to me. And the Gods know I needed it.

Of course I had a few problems, but nothing is ever perfect, right?

MAJOR GOALS

Wake and get up at 5 am ✅

No screen time right after waking up and before bed (1h)

Gym✅

Buy new glasses

Be seen

IELTS prep ✅

Create posts for my Art History page

Buy gym clothing ✅

The screen time is a problem for me; in the morning not so much, but before bed.... that's when I mess up.

I didn't buy my new glasses yet, but I will next month. Since April I know I need to see a doctor in October to check if everything is okay, so I am gonna make appointments to the same place and day, in order to save money.

Be seen was a major goal, but I didn't do anything to accomplish it. Very disappointed.

As for my Art History page, here it is: analisesculturais. No posts yet, but coming soon.

SECTIONS

I am happy with my healthy section, cause I finally started the gym. But you guys know how hard it is in the first week, so during the first days I decided to have more time to rest. In the last week of the month I was able to go there 3 times and workout at home once. I saw a dietitian and now I am eating better. I am very, very proud of myself.

As I said, I worked a bit on my instagram page, but I also took a bit of time to keep working on my project. I know I can't apply right now, but I won't give this up.

I didn't plan anything for my vacations. Sad.

I was way better this month than I was in August when it comes to my productivity section. I need to pay attention to my habit tracker and meal planner, though.

I need to work more on my glow up section. The self care activities were partially done, but I can do more, so that's what I am going to focus on.

The witch in me is happy, cause I was able to follow my devotional routine for most days. I also celebrated Mabon, in a very simple way, but I did it.

As I said before, be seen was a major goal and I didn't move a finger to accomplish it. Work to do.

I also didn't have much time for hobbies, which is very very sad. I mean I had time, but I decided to stay in bed and do nothing. More work to do.

I finished Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. Great book.

IELTS prep was done. I didn't want to, for most part, but I did it anyways.

Here’s my art recap for the year! Tbh my art didn’t improve overtime as much imo this year as compared to others, but tbh I’ve been super happy with my art. I included some printmaking projects even though I planned on posting them by themselves later.

I won’t say much about my year bc frankly I don’t. Want to. But I’m halfway though my second year of art school! Frankly this has been more fun than the first year lol.

September 2023 Reading Recap

September felt like it was over in the blink of an eye! I didn't get as much reading done as I wanted, but I still managed to read 6 books. See what they were here:

Happy October!

I have been SO busy this past month, but it's been really fun! To start off, I actually lost my job after they spent TWO MONTHS telling me they were "working on it". Somehow, I got lucky and I managed to get a contract to a new job less than a week later, so I'm putting it behind me.

I've also switched to a Light Phone II as my new phone. It's been helpful to reduce my distractions and increase my focus in my daily life. It's also been a great conversation starter, both from people who ask me about it and anyone who's willing to listen to me talk about it. My only trouble is the lack of camera, but I started this blog as a way to get out more, so now my photos can be more intentional.
