When I hear that the Greens are better rulers, I just gag.

Are we to forget how they stole all the gold from the treasury to finance their war and impoverished the Realm?

Otto and Alicent Hightower are both politically incompetent, whose main priority is the advancement of their own House.

You have Otto, the only Hand in history who managed to get fired twice.

You have Alicent, a greedy upstart, who only cares about herself.

You have Helaena just standing there.

And then you have the two “stars”, Aegon and Aemond, who share one brain cell. Aegon, an inadequate ruler (and that’s me being nice), clueless, gorging himself in fine wine and women. Aemond, a totally unstable psychopath, who believes that owning the biggest dragon in the world makes you invincible (he’s going to find out the hard way).

Oh, and let’s not leave out Ser Crispy Cole, the most shameless Kingsguard who has ever lived. For a man whose word is supposed to mean everything, it means literally nothing. Take a moment to compare him to Ser Erryk Cargyll. Yeah…

If Aemond was born a girl, he would never lost an eye

If Aemond were a girl and raised by the same people, he would never lost his eye, this I’m sure. He would even granted the chance not to faced the humiliating pink dread or mocked over for being dragonless by the Strong boys. I know this for a fact. Here’s why.

Started with Rhaena. She’s a Targaryen whose egg didn’t hatched. but the Strong boys never jest her for that, they even seem considerate for her. Even Helaena, she started off being dragonless just like Rhaena and Aemond, but she never is a topic among the boys. They might jest her before she bonded with Dreamfyre considered Aegon’s shite. But the Strong boys? I doubt they would even agree to Aegon bullying girls. Especially Jace. Luke might be too young to be considerate but Jace, I think at the very young age, Jace is a good and kind kid at heart. Plus he’s raised by Rhaenyra. For the very least Jace would talked Aegon out of it like ‘man, don’t bully a lady like that, tis not what a proper gentleman would dooo’

How about Aegon? Sure he’s the bully of the kids and often encourage the jests. But if Aemond were a girl, I bet Alicent would never allow her daughters to go practice sword, lest practice in dragonpit with Aegon and the boys. Least Aegon can do is call her a book-freak or a nerd. Or if there’s a situation where he can jest his youngest sister for being dragonless, Alicent would slap him real hard for sure. (given her being especially softhearted towards Helaena and fellow women.)

Alicent is not Ned Stark or Jon Snow who would let a lady do as she liked. And Aemond is definitely not Arya. First he’s a Targaryen, and dragons are the biggest part that lift up Targaryen from common lords. Cannon Aemond very much obsessed with that. (I think one thing Rhaena and Aemond have in similarity is that they craved acceptance. Rhaena wished Daemon looked and favored her like he did Baela. Aemond wished Viserys looked and acknowledged him as his son. As both of them didn’t have dragons as a Targaryen should.) So I think, even if Aemond were a girl, growing up with Alicent as it is, his core personality would still be a low self-esteem dragonless lonely Targaryen princess who’s not only a dutiful and a people-pleaser but also seeks great acceptance, seeks somewhere to belong.

Given Helaena being dragonless, I think femAemond would strongly bonds with Helaena since she’s also a dragonless Targaryen(before Dreamfyre), fem!Aemond wouldn’t be so lonely as he is a boy. Given (s)he would have an older sister to sympathize with. They would go to dragonpit together and practice with Dreamfyre instead of with Aegon. Fem!Aemond might study history and philosophy and Targaryen lores all day. So I think fem!Aemond might not so familiar with Aegon as she did Helaena, less chance for the pink dread joke. (But still, we never know what could’ve happened and Aegon might finally find a way to pinkdread her anyway)

And fem!Aemond has no one to do anything as so pleased, given Viserys never care for any of Alicent’s kids and Ser Crispy Creme is loyal to Alicent that he would also not allowed the princess to act out of her mom’s words. Swordsmanship is a no for sure. But given his(her) Targaryen traits, Aemond might find a way to practice swordsmanship or do as she like, but more discreetly than openly do so. (But I doubt she would even try to do that since she must be heavily influenced by the Seven(from Alicent) and swordsmanship is not for a woman anyway. But she’s descendant of Visenya so it’s not like it’s impossible.) Although I still believed fem!Aemond would still be dutiful, with or without fighting skills. Since his canon core personality is that he wants to belong, princess Aemond would still try to please her mom anyway. And given Ewan latest interview, Aemond felt any love towards him comes with conditions.

I also believe fem!Aemond would try to bond a dragon anyway,(again, given her Targaryen traits) she might even aimed for Vhagar just as canon, (consider Vhagar is more than just the biggest dragon but also the loneliest and too big to fit in, just like the lonely canon Aemond anyway.) But I think Luke and Jace would never hurt her or at the very least seriously injured her. (given they were raised by The Rhaenyra and The gentleman Ser Harwin cmon).

If she still lost an eye, I think it would be by non of Rhaenyra’s sons. I bet they would even have a crush on her even.🥴 (yes I’m too shippy to let it slide given any chances i can ship bby aemond with the strong boys🤭)

But yep, Aemond was born a boy. Not a girl. So he has the pink dread and has to lost an eye! Uwu >;3

The way the show handled helaegon irritates the life out of me! I’m will admit I’m not really a fan of the greens (mainly ser crispy/Otto/Aemond) and favour the blacks but sweet Helaena and Aegon are such wasted potential!!!

Below is just my personal opinion on it, not that I believe anyone will greatly care but I’m still sharing them 😂 major spoilers if you haven’t read the book! So please ignore if you don’t know what happens in fire and blood

So I absolutely adore Jace, Luke and Joff who are victims in the dance of dragons, but my problem is the show writers have completely ignored the fact Alicent’s children are victims too!! Helaena and Aegon are BOTH forced into marriage at a young age while he being groomed to usurp his sister

The show kept out ser crispy putting the fear of god into Aegon when he tries to refuse the throne, like I didn’t feel as if the show fully showed how forced into it he was

Aegon is an asshole in the books, he cheats on his wife and acts like a drunken fool but the show made him a rapist to make it more biased so the viewers who haven’t read the books favour the blacks

Who even is Helaena in the show? We get about three minutes of her as a side character rather than the sweet princess who’s a dragon dreamer

Now noodle boy Caraxes is my favourite dragon but their is no dismissing that Aegon and Sunfyre have the best bond, but yet the show failed to highlight it!

I could write a essay on how much I love book Rhaenyra and how I think she is a victim in her own right, but I completely understand why Aegon does what he does… spoiler… after Luke’s death blood and cheese (despite it being Daemon and Aemond’s doing) there is no going back, one of them needs to die, however I know the show will butcher the whole scene and make it seem like Aegon has done it for power

The show has made it seem like Aegon doesn’t give a fuck about his wife or children, when everything he does is for them! He accepts the crown to protect his family because he truly believes Rhaenyra will kill them all if she is queen, he seeks justice after blood and cheese! Aegon does not give a shit about the crown, he just wants to protect his family

Neither Rhaenyra or Aegon had a chance because of Viserys! He is the soul reason for the dance happening in the first place, he desperately wanted a son to be heir which Aemma died trying to give him, then when he finally had one he ignores him. Also when he crowned Rhaenyra he should have continually reminded all the other houses who swore to her that she was to be Queen, if he had done that then Aegon wouldn’t have been brain washed and groomed for king and house Targaryen wouldn’t have torn themselves apart

Yeah, they handled Aegon and Helaena so badly. Even Criston, he was smart and a great warrior but in the show he’s just a rage machine, which considering the fact they made him Dornish was a choice.

They didn’t developed Aegon and Helaena or their relationship at all. I ranted way too much about that lmao.

You’re right, Viserys was the villain. The fact that TB thinks that he didn’t set Rhaenyra to fail by marrying is beyond me.

The only thing that really bothers me about HOTD is how they handled Aegon ii - they made it seem like he didn’t care at all about anything aside from drinking and whores!

Aegon did not give a single feck about politics or the crown until Otto, Alicent and Cole dragged him in, and Ser crispy brain washed him into think Nyra would kill them all - I really wished they focused more on that part! I think it would help people who haven’t read the books understand better as well

Yeah, I definitely agree with this. Honestly I wish they hadn’t rushed through the story so much in the first season. I understand why they did, but you run into that issue of certain characters not being fleshed out enough to truly understand their motives. I mean, they never even acknowledged that Alicent and Viserys had a whole other child. That child just kinda exists in the background and is forgotten.

Without the background knowledge of the books, the show is a little frustrating to watch. I ended up doing a whole bunch of research into the books after the first few episodes for that reason.

The greens all being pathetic embarrassing disappointments in the eyes of everbody? check! No Rhaenyra and Leanor bs? Check! No goddamn dragon seeds? Check! No Strong x Rhaenyra children? Check! Prefect domestic Daemon and Rhaenyra children fluff? Check! No Rhaenyra being bedridden at the beginning of The Dance? Yess queen! Alicent already getting a reality check where her pathetic son and her scheming is concerned despite being just like 3 chapters into the Dance? Check! Alyn and Addam getting the pagetime they deserve? Check! – and *actually* having  the talent, skills and dedication to bring it all onto paper. My Savior 😩🙏

While we all wait for you to continue blessing us with your masterpiece, I will lose myself in my HCs how your story continues on; Such as i) Aemond attacks BB Aegon -> everbody believes Aegon died -> Daemon let's Jaehaerys be assassinated alla "a son for a son" after all -> Heleana commits suicide -> Daemon kills Aemond alla canon, but Daemon survives (mabye Rhaenys is here to save the day) -> Maelor is sent to Oldtown as precaution, but gets killed on the road similar as to canon -> The Gold Cloaks assassinate Aegon the Pig when he visites The Street of Silk, cause they are the loyal bitches of Daddy D and the pigking is an idiot -> Rhaenyra takes The Capital and has Alicent arrested -> Viserys is about to head up with Daeron near Oldtown when Aegon III reappears with the Winter Wolves, after they murdered Ser Incel -> With them on their doorstep, the men turn on Daeron and murder him to prevent the battle -> the Blacks take Oldtown -> Idk if Otto is in KL or Oldtown, doesn't matter that bitch is dragged there to watch as the Blacks turn Hightower into Harrenhall 2.0 -> Otto and Alicent are kept in the Red Keep for the rest of their lifes and have to see the Blacks thrive as punishment 😎

And somebody kill Lord Baratheon and Veamond!

I cannot tell you how touched I was when I read your ask, and how emotional I was as well...

I say it all the time and it's true. I don't have any particular talent. I have no formal education in literature or any of the sort. English is not my native language. My imagination sucks. The only thing that is special about me (but in my opinion shouldn't be because most people should do this) is that I give a sh:t. That's it. I give a sh:t. That’s it. That’s all.

My fics are very far from perfect, but I always strive to do my best. To keep things consistent. To fix things where I can. To make people feel like these are the characters they read about (not watched, read, it will forever only be the characters they read about) and that they live in the asoiaf universe. Because I love this story, these characters, this world, and every time I think about the mockery that is being made of them and of how many people turn a blind eye to this and support it it really leaves me angry. But no more of this talk because I am NOT going there or getting anywhere near that poorly pathetic excuse for a fanfiction which has less of canon in it than ANY fanfiction I have ever seen.

Back to "The Blacks & the Greens". Thank you so much <3 don't be too impressed (if any) though. When I first started I was not as good at... anything really. I had a lot of trouble in world building, action scenes, getting how the characters should talk right... I had a real learning curve and there is a huge difference between some earlier chapters and the new ones - hence why I am currently finishing revamping part 1 and then will move on to part 2; part 3 I am super happy with though so I will just do minor corrections on typos. Heck! I even struggled to write smut! Me! The person who gets something happening in between the smut scenes! Can you imagine? *shudders* I am kidding there's not that much porn in my fanfiction 🙂

I cannot tell you how happy your words make me. 2022 has been THE cursed year for tv shows (yes, I know how privileged I sound), and it is people like you and writing that help keep me sane and keep my love for this story and characters alive. 

I hope to be here for long, giving justice to the number 1 chaotic OTP of Fire and Blood Daemon and Rhaenyra Targaryen! And encouraging others to piss on people who make a mockery of the universe we love, and help to give these characters justice!

Daemon in Part 1: Literally you are a bag of d_cks and people are like “Prince Daemon, step away from the underaged girl!” but then they realize everyone around is so much worse 😐 and you’re kind of funny (and hot, k like super hot) so they stan you.

Daemon in Part 2: No one: Absolutely no one: Not a single soul: Not even one person: Constantly reminding everyone you are tapping Rhaenyra for a living and that your sons are the future kings. You also do scary things every once and a while and you might (MIGHT) be developing some uncomfortable things other people call “feelings”. 

Daemon in Part 3: Walking around with one or two children with him constantly and saying and doing cool things and cashing checks no one can afford while your babies eat your hair. Also getting really tired of a lot of sh:t. 

Daemon in Part 4: Good. I don’t have to hold back anymore 😠 Everyone: You were holding back?!!!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭

Thank you for all the faith you have in me <3 I hope I am worthy it. And I can say that next chapter is either from Daemon or Aegon II’s POV.
