Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I'd be remiss if I didn't combine it with SGU, my current hyperfixation. 😂 I did try posting this on Halloween, but my phone didn't want to cooperate with me. I'm glad that when they were writing Lt Matthew Scott they decided he needed the most generic name ever, a big dose of catholic guilt, and the most obvious daddy issues ever. Really, a hallucination where his CO is his dad?

We've just finished the first season of SGU (what an ending it was, though, what an ending, with half of main character's lives in immediate danger 😂) and I'm so torn rn because at first I really got it why people ship Rushbelle (because he honestly needs a Belle who would care about him and for him and make sure he eats and sleeps and be on his side when literally everyone are against him for no reason at all - I mean, he did send them to this ship, but they were mean to him even before that - and, most importantly, since she would be a linguist in this universe, Belle would be able to share his scientific curiosity and his amazement and desire to learn more about Destiny as opposed to everyone else just wanting to go home - she would want to go home, too, probably, but that desire would be secondary at best to the desire to explore Destiny and the universe with its help...), then, around "Space" and "Divided" I realized that Rush and Chloe could actually make a good couple (I know, I know, the age difference, but does anyone even care about it these days? besides, both same-age candidates for a partner - Scott and Eli - don't really suit Chloe? because she's smart and independent and has a good moral compass and is the one to stand up to anyone she thinks is wrong and wants to do something, be someone and Scott is a little... too plain for her? plus he's a mindless follower and that cannot possibly sit well with her - no wonder she's never in the scene when Scott does something stupid / wrong just because he's following an order without thinking for himself - and Eli is not mature enough for her but Rush? he would be just right) and then they introduced Mandy and she and Nick are so cute together I can't 🥺🥺🥺
