Of course the women that "inspired" Rosie The Riveter were Black. Of. Damn. Course. I was a plum fool to just have taken the imaging of white women as some kind of do it all working class hero. Here is my attempt at redress.

Although I have not seen the Barbie Movie, from clips I’ve been spoiled Allen could easily be a representation of lumping an oppressed group with the oppressor due to their proximity to them along with his clear representation of allyship.
It’s like when the phrase “Kill All Men” or just “All Men” comes around and women point out they include Trans Men in not accounting that trans individuals are equally oppressed by men, trans-men were raised as girls and socialized under the female gender roles in society along with being ostracized in male spaces due to their inherent relation to femininity and womanhood in the eyes of the patriarchy.
Most trans men do not benefit from patriarchal standards unless they pass and are discreet about their identities and thus are barred from the safe space women provide each other as they aren’t one but cannot rely on men cause they often aren’t seen as a complete one like Allen preferred the Barbies but is inherently lumped with Kens, somewhere he doesn’t fully belong or agree with despite a desire to be there.
This also factors in to men of color or queer men who while benefiting from the patriarchy and misogyny to an extent, are still oppressed individuals compare to their straight white counterparts. In the case men of color (especially brown and black men) are often treated worse due to their position in what is considered an ideal patriarchal social hierarchy.
This is no way to diminish struggles of women or the ideals and message of the film but I’ve been seeing KAM go around again and must remind those that the phrase lacks nuance and is pretty bare bones and detrimental in relation to actual feminist ideals.

If you’re making a video about tradwives, why is Nara Smith in the thumbnail? Is she an out and proud conservative who believes in the traditional definition of a Godly American marriage, thereby she is not a trad wife? No? Then, she is not a tradwife. Nara Smith is a thin, conventionally attractive woman who wears sophisticated outfits and has kids and cooks in her big fancy kitchen. She is not a tradwife, she is a professional, likely affluent model who runs the equivalent of an amateur TikTok cooking show. She is not attempting to manipulate you into becoming a submissive, dutiful housewife, she’s making money off of your engagement by maintaining a brand. She is polished and prim, not because she’s trying to portray some sort of natural ease in being a traditional mother, but because she doesn’t want to be clowned for a distracting dirty kitchen. She wears fancy clothes because she’s a model, who gets paid to wear fancy clothes, probably IN the videos. She has three kids because she wants three kids, or however many she has. She’s not perpetuating an unreality, or playing into some deeply insidious narrative about what it means to truly be a woman and a wife and mother, YOU are just poor, and SHE has money, so your lives look different, therefore making her reality inherently different to yours, which isn’t her problem. She doesn’t have to preface every video with an apology or an assurance that you don’t have to go through all of the trouble she does, and she shouldn’t have to. She is a BRAND because she is a BUSINESS. Her work, her videos, make her money! Of course the things she does seem staged and sterile, she is staging and sterilizing her work space to maintain an image online. It’s not her fault you don’t understand branding, and it’s not her fault you failed to learn the message the past decade and the most immediate technological “advancements” have been teaching us: sometimes things online aren’t real. Next are you going to tell me that you think that everyone in every advertisement is genuinely that happy to be wearing/eating/drinking/driving/using the product being advertised?
The elements of Nara Smith’s public persona do not add up to traditionalism, they add up to hyperfemininity at most, and at the very least, a minuscule injection of traditionalism from a Mormon upbringing. Tradwifery isn’t when women wear fancy clothes and cook, it’s when women DON’T work outside the house as successful models who wear crop tops to show off their pregnant bellies. It’s when women follow a traditional, Godly plan for marriage, birth control and childrearing. It when a man works outside of the home as something that isn’t “model”, and his wife (who also isn’t a model) stays home to raise and homeschool 2+ children, and cook and clean and maybe tend to a garden and read her Bible by candlelight and shut her mouth. It’s a woman who is jobless, uneducated, diminished according to “God’s” will. The tradwife isn’t just some lady you don’t like, she’s molded physically and mentally by her upbringing and shaped by the hands of the men around her. She is quiet, she is private, she follows her husband like a lost puppy. The pillars her identity rests upon are repression, conservatism and religious femininity, the kind that makes you wear skirts that go below the knees, and tops with collars to the neck. The most modern tradwife MAYBE has social media, and every video, every post is meant to perpetuate the myth that she is happy and that other women will be at their happiest if they follow her lead. The most important part of “trad” wifery, is the TRAD part, which stands for TRADITION. Miu miu is not traditional. Exposed belly bumps are not traditional. These “commentary” videos like the one I’m referring to do half of the work of investigating the perils of femininity and hyperfemininity, and traditionalism and only succeed in confusing themselves even more because it’s more important to them to pretend to be a journalist than sit with and analyze what they’re saying. This is coming from someone who has a finely tuned radar for subtly anti-feminist propaganda. I can and will scrutinize every aspect of a performance of femininity. I will squint and roll my eyes at every makeup tutorial and GRWM. I will question shaving and waxing and high heels and skirts and bras and porn. One thing I WON’T do, is use a term I KNOW doesn’t fit to make money on a YouTube video.
If Nara Smith bothers you, she just bothers you. If her inaccessible cooking style bothers you, it just bothers you. If the way she dresses bothers you, it just bothers you. That’s it. It JUST bothers you. You’are allowed to feel bothered, and annoyed, so what’s the point of lying? Are your personal feelings so under attack that you have to resort to making up a reason? That you have to resort to making yourself look stupid to justify a half-assed thinkpiece about her? If you want to discuss her potential plagiarism from smaller creators, discuss that. If you want to discuss her kitchen safety, discuss that. Don’t insult me by making shit up, because I’m on the same internet you are! I can watch her videos too! I can take notes too! And I can easily see that your problem with her is the fact that you are simply tired of being advertised to. You’re tired of seeing rich people, and you’re tired of seeing pretty people. Who cares? Be tired of it proudly, but be tired of it and do your research? Quit using areas of feminist study as a personal kiddy pool and get real!!!!!!!!!!

I wanna take the term white feminism from all liberal crackers until they learn how to use it properly.
White feminism is not:
Trans/gender critical feminism (implying white trans people are somehow "less white" than their "cis" counterparts)
Prostitution/porn critical feminism (implying women of melanin need these dangerous industries more than other women)
What JK Rowling is doing (just because she happens to be white, also the great Alice Walker agrees with her, so)
What "pick mes" are doing (demeaning oneself for the approval of men is a multicultural activity)
Something white women can speak with any real authority on, because the term was invented by women of melanin intended to observe y'all from over here (freaks claiming it's racist to deny a white person's trans identity because historical third genders existed in a culture they don't belong to)
It is:
Feminism that prioritizes the wants of white females over the needs of all other females
Feminism that worships beauty trends that are often inaccessible to women of melanin
The current state of liberal feminism which confidently claims that I as a non trans black gender critical female hold both racial and gender privilege over white trans people

Can you do a dom Tashi fic with a female reader? Need her! Lol
cw: went kind of wild with this, blindfolds, orgasm delay/denial, puppy play, mommy kink, slight bdsm, implied masochistic reader, stoplight system, shirt used as bondage, mentions of ropes/gags/fucking machines, infidelity, pain play, you can decide if the bonus implied poly part is canon to the story, feminization (one good girl bc i couldn’t hold it back), patrick catching strays 💀, canon typical mind games, extreme spanking mention, tashi being a good dom (+ off screen aftercare, trust), mention of cleaning her strap with your tongue, slight degradation, unedited, afab reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Mmfh- Tashi, slow down…” You whine, pausing your makeout session to her immediate disapproval. “I don’t think we should be doing this anymore.”
She rolls her eyes but she humors you and pulls back to sit on her heels. Tashi wonders what’s got you so worked up this time, but she knows she can take care of it and you’ll be back on her strap where you belong. Regardless of any “boyfriend.”
“What are you talking about?” She coos, rubbing your cheekbones with the sides of her thumbs and admiring how your eyes clearly want to flutter shut. “You’re not doing anything wrong, don’t worry about it.”
You bite your lip, stuffing your hands in between your thighs so you won’t want to chew on your nails, “But what about Patrick? Isn’t this cheating? I thought you guys were together.”
She doesn’t immediately say that you had your tongue all up in her pussy even when you apparently had that idea in your head. You’ve been fucking for months, so it’s kind of silly to be getting your panties in a twist over morals this late in the game. But you just don’t get it yet, that’s all. You don’t have the mindset for these kinds of things, not like Tashi does.
“How can we be together if he’s not here? What we had is as limp as his dick. Not like us, you’re so much better than him, babe.” She whispers, sliding her hands down to massage your shoulders “If he hasn’t gotten the hint by now, then that’s his own fuckin’ fault, you got that?”
The venom in her little speech by the end wasn’t directed at you, it could never be, but you’re taken aback by it all the same. You’re not the kind of person who’d take pleasure from knowingly helping someone cheat, but Tashi Duncan doesn’t need help to do anything. And at least you’re worth something to her, unlike Patrick who at least deserves a lazyily written instagram dm.
You decide to chalk it all up to whatever the fuck seems to be in the college air, “Yeah, Tash’ , I got it.”
Tashi bucks her hips and rubs the tip of her strap against the sheets, pulling you into her lap to straddle it. She captures your lips in a second, sloppier, kiss and smooths her palms over your ass. You keen at the sharp smacks she gives you as you grind on the fake cock, sucking on her tongue and clutching onto the back of her neck.
It’s Tashi who interrupts the kiss this time, to grab the nearby silk blindfold and slip it around your eyes. After a reassurance from you that you can’t see anything at all, she tugs your button up shirt down to tie your wrists behind your back. Not anything too tight, but the fancy ropes, toys, and gags are back at her place.
You give her the okay to keep going after wiggling around to test your restraints, rolling your eyes behind your blindfold when you rattle off the stoplight system like she asks you to. You’re grateful that she can’t see it, you would be bent over her lap and your ass would be black and blue if she did. Sometimes you ask for that type of play outside of you being a brat.
Tashi tells you that you did a good job and your pussy jumps at the praise. She laughs meanly at the sight and digs her nails into your ass cheeks, moving your hips into a slow grind.
She pats you on the ass, “Up, puppy. Time for your treat.”
You obediently lift your hips, hearing her move around so she can position the head of her cock at your entrance. Despite how much you want to just absoutely slam your hips down on her length and feel your ass jiggle around it, you know she wants you to go slow even though she prepped you with her fingers earlier. Your pussy’s genuinely so tight and has trouble with penetration, you need to take your time for Tashi’s peace of mind at least. Especially since your cock slut hole likes the more monster looking dildos.
“You’ve got this puppy, just relax for me. That’s it.-” Tashi says, keeping a firm grip on your hips and eyeing the inches of her strap being slowly devoured by your greedy cunt.
Not being able to see your surroundings hightens the feeling of Tashi’s cock spreading you open. You whine when you’ve finally taken all of her, thanks to your determination and her fingers playing with your nipples. You accept the quick kiss she lays on you and start bouncing without her go ahead, earning you a slap across your heaving tits that gets you wetter than when she had you go on a fucking machine.
You enjoy being able to moan freely, shrieking like a porn star as Tashi alternates between playing with your tits and your ass. She doesn’t even have to move, you need her so bad that your pure instinct is driving you to cream on the thick cock inside you. You’re slicking it up already, so when Tashi rubs furious circles into your clit and she knows you’re clenching, she harshly grabs your face.
“No cumming until I say so, you remember the last time you were a bad puppy don’t you?”
You do, she made you orgasm so much that by the time it was over, gun to your head you would’ve sworn that your clit fell off.
“I-i’ll be good, fuck! I can hold it, mommy, promise!” You babble, feeling tired already but keeping up your unsustainable jackhammer pace.
Tashi leans back on her hands and enjoys the show. Your eyes covered and your arms held behind your back, basically being unable to do anything but fuck yourself on her huge fake cock. She reverntly rubs your thighs up and down, hitting you when you need it and soothing the sting afterward. She keeps you dangling over the edge for what feels like hours to you before you’re tempted to embrace whatever punishment she’ll dish out after you cum.
Just when you think that you’re to fall apart beyond repair and all recognition, Tashi squeezes each of your tits and takes them into her mouth. She brings her fingers back to your clit and you could cry in relief because she only pulls out all the stops when she wants you to give her a nice long orgasm.
“Good puppy, you can do it, cum for me. Gush all over mommy’s cock, make her proud- just like that… oh, good girl, that’s it, let it all out. I want you to make a big mess for me, I know how much you like to clean mommy’s strap.” She coos, talking you through it while you meet God.
You fall asleep giving Tashi’s cock a tongue bath.
Bonus:
The latest texts between Tashi and Patrick are pages and pages of entire essays about what you look and sound like when you cum. They’d knew you’d feel too guilty about coming in between them to go after you together, so they’re working on a sort of trial run. But what Patrick doesn’t know is that Tashi could care less if you warm up to him like you have to her, she ‘saw you across the room and loved your vibe’ first. She’d still have you if you succumbed to Patrick’s eventual “I can’t believe she dumped me” sobbed story anyway.
She does love you, you’re her baby. Patrick’s a fun experiment in how desperate a man can get.

If there was one thing that you liked to do, it was party. You liked dancing, listening to, most of the time, shit music and hanging out with your friends. A good, any kind of party could always lift your mood. But, if there was one party you’d always try to avoid– it was frat parties. Especially the ones that were hosted at Lee Heeseung’s so-called notorious fraternity house.
Lee Heeseung and the rest of the frat he belonged to were the embodiment of the classic frayboy archetype. And they didn’t have the best reputation. They were the self-proclaimed rulers of campus who liked to party way too much and break many hearts, especially the hearts of freshmen’s.
So, you were understandably less than thrilled when Dayeon and Shana insisted we pay a visit to their den of debauchery this Friday night.
Everyone who belonged in the frat were bad, but Lee Heeseung was definitely the most popular and the worst. He was all you heard about during the your freshmen year as all your friends were trying, or had hooked up with him. Now during your junior year, you hear about a new Lee Heeseung escapade at least once a week from either your friend, or overhearing it from some crying freshman in the library.
Heeseung did not care about or who he hooked up with. As long as they were alive and had tits, he was into it. And although he had a long reputation about being a womanizer, he also had a reputation of being amazing at sex.
Mixed along with all the broken-hearted-tears shed, there were constant rumours being spread about how easily he could make a girl cum. Which is a rare occurence with college frat boys. But everyone knew, that if you wanted to cum, go to Lee Heeseung.
He intrigued you during the first half of your freshman year, the idea that a sophomore could make any girl cum. You fed into the rumours about his sex life, and all the kinks the fratboy allegedly took fancy of. One of those kinks being a daddy kink. Yes, a cliche one, but now, three years later, and it seems to be the only kink of his that everyone is aware of. Even your wide-eyed, almost innocent freshman friends come up to you and ask if it is true that the senior, Lee Heeseung has a daddy kink.
You don’t know if it’s true, and you don’t want to know. You make an effort to stay away from the frat house of womanizing, except for tonight.
“Y/n, you’ve gotta give this party a chance,” Dayeon says when she hears you sigh from your bed again. “I heard they’ve got an actual, killer DJ lined up for tonight!”
You roll your eyes at your friend’s attempt to persuade you to want to enjoy the frat party tonight. “I don’t care about the DJ.”
“Right, you just care about the guys who hired the DJ.” Shana smirks from her reflection in the mirror as she finishes her makeup.
You roll over onto your stomach to look at your friend in the mirror, “I do not care about those awful frat boys, I care about the drama that seems to always follow them around. Drama, that is just not worth it.”
Shana rolls her eyes playfully, starting to fix her black hair for the night.
“Don’t be such a party pooper,” Dayeon nudges your leg with hers, “We’ll stick together, and if Heeseung or any of the other frat guys try anything, I’ll smack them with my feminism 101 textbook.”
You chuckle, appreciating Dayeon, “Fine, I’ll go and attempt to have fun. But if Heeseung or any of his minions come near me, I’m unleashing you, D.”
With a grin, Dayeon jumps ontop of you, squeezing you into a bone-crushing hug. “Deal, this is gonna be a night to remember!”

silly little idea i had where dally didn’t get shot, and just ran away to nyc. this will not become a series. this was just me trying to get ideas down.
he wasn’t exactly sure how he ended up in this situation. he kind of blacked out years ago, knowing he had to get away—knowing he could never go back. he was about to throw himself off of this roof, some miserable, 50-years-old-looking woman with awful eyeshadow yelling at him over the work he was doing.
“how many times do i have to tell you,” she whined, her voice like nails on a chalkboard. dally was kind of surprised she even had a husband, and kids. “those aren’t the same colours as i had before!”
“listen, woman,” dally said, wiping his forehead with his sleeve. he hated this job, but what other options did he have? “i’m just using the materials my boss gave me.”
the woman, ugly thing she was, narrowed her eyes. dally climbed down the fire escape, ignoring her complaints and cries, saying some bullshit like, “i’m the landlord!” and blasting some feminism in his ears. he got it, it was the 1970s, but it wasn’t anything personal!
“i’m doing my job,” he deadpanned, wiping the grease from his hands onto his uniform once he was back on the ground.
the woman scoffed, crossing her arms. “well, it’s not good enough!” she sneered, and it took everything in dallas not to punch her right then and there. instead, he managed to stay silent, packing up his toolbox.
“i’m out,” he muttered.
“excuse me?”
“i said i’m out!” he snapped. “hire someone else for this, i can’t deal with your bullshit.”
Tumblr media
you let out a shaky breath. you recently moved into a new life—new city, new you—and while a fresh start seemed like a great idea at first, now it’s turned out to be awful. you don’t know anyone, all of the people in the complex are rude, and they treat you like you’re some vile dirt left under their shoe that they can’t scrape off.
so, here you stand, desperate for some sort of communication, about to rap your knuckles against the splintered door that belongs to your neighbour’s apartment.
he keeps to himself, and you rarely see him, but the walls are thin, and sometimes you’ll wake up early in the morning because some bang sounded from his apartment. you glance down at the small tray in your hands, carrying some foods. hopefully, he won’t be offended.
you exhale shakily, your brain working this up to be more than it actually is. you replay in your head what you plan to say, swallowing dryly before knocking on the door.

The WORST swifties are white gay men. 9 times out of 10 they are pretenious. The way they use white feminism to defend Taylor from criticism. But then you also see them attacking other female artists. It's like to them, Taylor is the only woman feminism counts for. In that they can pretend to be an ally for womens rights. When in reality, they are not. Then they use their own opression, being part of the LGBTQ etc. to be shady. I'm sorry but as a gay man you do not have the right to act all sort of types of ways towards black women or men!
What is this?
https://x.com/lustforlifestan/status/1772294821077475622
The tweet in question, for anyone who doesn't want to copy and paste the link (obviously TW for gross blatant racism):
Tumblr media
Honestly, I've had the most toxic experiences with bitchy little pick me princesses who see themselves in Taylor WAY too much. Because they see an attack on her shitty behavior as an attack on THEIR shitty behavior that's exactly the same as hers (which it is - if you act like Taylor Swift then all my same criticisms apply and frankly you should be embarrassed that you act that way).
But yeah, there's a special kind of...something...that draws swifties of minorities to defend Taylor until they're blue in the face, all while weaponizing their minority status just like their pop priss taught them to. Because if you're a minority in ANY way, you can't be a bigot, right? (Hint: that was sarcasm. You absolutely can be, and her seeming belief that being a woman makes her untouchable is bullshit.)
As a PSA, NOTHING excuses the following:
Racism
Sexism
Homophobia
Transphobia
Ableism
Antisemitism
Zionism
Doxxing
Harassment
Sending people death threats/suicide bait
I don't care what minority group you belong to, these things are not okay. I don't care what your religion is, what music you like, what you ate for breakfast. These things are never acceptable. Ever. For any reason. Full stop. End of discussion.
Anyway, swifties continue to show what shit people they are as a collective, and Taylor Swift shows what a shit person she is by never speaking out about this vile behavior from her minions.

PARALLEL BODY
Tumblr media
Your boyfriend was fat, unfit and overweight.
The spell you cast was supposed to open an interdimensional rift and replace his current physical form with a fitter parallel version of himself. He would be given a copy of this parallel body as if he had always been that way. You imagined him with ripped muscles, a perfect toned physique and a big cock...
Something went badly wrong.
When the pink light faded you saw he'd been replaced by a female version of himself instead of a male one. She was certainly fit. A hot busty blonde version with a toned body and perfect ass. She had big tits and a bitchy face with sexy brown eyes. Every inch of her screamed hot, high-maintenance bimbo.
Now calling himself Amber - your boyfriend rapidly adapted to life as a girl. His new body seemed to have inspired a few life style changes, or maybe the spell was also affecting his personality. He seemed to be enjoying being a hot woman and learning all about feminity. At first it was cute, but as he began to surpass you in every way, it began to become strangely intimidating.
Amber became an early riser and a gymaholic. She seemed to have boundless energy and a desire to try all the experiences of being a woman. She moved with natural feminine grace and had the balance and strength of an athlete.
Amber was soon a more stylish dresser than you. She made friends quickly and started hanging out with the hyper competitive gym-bunnies she now effortlessly belonged with. They went out shopping together and her wardrobe began to incorporate lingerie, short skirts, bodystockings and blouses.
Amber got her nails done - three inch pink acyrlic claws on each finger. She got her tongue and belly button pierced and a tattoo of a heart on her perfect ass. She began to shop at sex shops... soon she had her own collection of butt plugs and dildos.
She'd fuck her pussy - lying on your bed as she squirted and screamed in pleasure. It was only a matter of time before she begged you to join her.
The lesbian sex was fun at first - only you didn't see why you shouldn't get to use the strap-on as well. Being dominated by Amber did feel good though.
"Fucking take it you fat bitch, your cunt belongs to Mommy now," she'd hiss as she smacked your ass and pounded you deep with the strap on.
"Yessss Mommy, I'm your slut," you'd whimper thinking it was just role-play but cumming harder than you ever had when he'd fucked you as a man.
Amber had insisted you try the nine inch strap on. You'd objected at first, but soon you were addicted as you bottomed out for her time and time again. She made you feel so weak and needy.
Being Amber's subby girlfriend was starting to feel so good. She was taking control of more and more of your life and becoming meaner and bitchier by the day.
She picked up mannersims and expressions from the mean girls she was hanging around with. 'OMG, totes, like and bitch' were soon part of her regular vocabularly.
Amber then talked you into a threesome with a hot black guy from the gym she had been flirting with.
She made you rim him whilst she sucked his cock and then spreading her pussy wide you watched him fuck her. It was supposed to be a threesome, but the only role you played was to eat the cum out of her sticky pussy when they were done.
"OMG - from now on you don't mind if I like bring more guys back from the gym do you bitch?"
She didn't even wait for your response.
Amber got a new tattoo to go with her heart. A black QoS mark on her ankle. Now she got even more attention and she was soon bringing home black guys every night. Wet slaps, screams of pleasure and the scent of pussy filled the house as she fucked and sucked every guy she brought home.
Listening to her bouncing up and down on big dick made you so wet. Your former boyfriend was now a snowbunny whore and it was hot.
Then one day Amber came into the room wearing boots and dressed in latex carrying the spellbook you'd used to give her a parallel body. She laughed as she read the words and you groaned as you felt the dimensional shift envelope you and give you a new body.
When the pink light faded you looked down in horror to see you were now a cute femboy. You no longer had tits and a tiny little cock hung between your legs, but you were still dressed like a girl in slutty lingerie and every inch of your body was shaven.
"Like... you look soooo much better than this," she hissed stroking your hair and making you whimper. "You're my little fuck-slut forever now. Mine and my lovers."
Looking down you saw your body was covered in tattoos like hers. Black spades and BBC only tattoos. Your little cock was caged in blue plastic, a princess butt plug was deep in your ass.
Amber snapped her fingers and three black guys walked into the room. Ripped black muscles gleamed as they grinned down.
"Now suck off these boys and make them nice and hard for me. You're my new fluffer. Ohhhh and lets burn this page of the spellbook. There's no going back now bitch. Enjoy your new parallel body as it's the only one you're ever going to need."

*reblog without tags please
update #1: i just finished reading Letting An@ Go by anonymous. the teenage drama and romance is gross and annoying. the protagonist has a lot of strong opinions about peoples weight, especially her mother’s, which is very triggering. plenty of m3an $pO if that’s your thing. rampant fatphobia. i give it 3 out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
5 star tier ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
• hunger: a memoir of (my) body by roxane gay. one of the best edsheeran books ive read. it’s about sa, food addiction, boolimia, feminism, fatphobia, the struggles of just trying to exist black woman in a large body. would recommend
• i’m glad my mom died by jennette mccurdy. it’s so good. i think i finished it in a day. it’s about a lot more than edsheeran. highly recommend. go read it right now
• unbearable lightness: a story of loss and gain by portia de rossi. a gay actor’s struggles with edsheeran. one of the few i’ve read more than once. would recommend
• wasted: a memoir of an0rex!a and boolimia by marya hornbacher. really deserves to be in a class of its own. it’s the best written edsheeran book out there. it’s sad, hilarious, intelligent, perfectly captures the internal voice of mania. highly tr!ggering, so proceed with caution. after wasted was published she relapsed, which she speaks about in madness: a bipolar life. it’s also a very good book but edsheeran is not the focus
4 star tier ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
• insatiable: a young mother’s struggle with an0rexia by erica rivera. if you wanna read about someone who takes fistfuls of bisacodyl and exercises intensely, you might like this book. it’s very good. would recommend
• dying to be th!n by nikki grahame. imagine being so severely malnourished as a child that you never go through puberty. thats how serious her illness was. she basically grew up in treatment facilities, managed to recover against all odds, went on big brother (the reality show), published a book, relapsed, and tragically passed away in 2021. the covid lockdowns were hard on her mental health. would recommend
• the girls at 17 swann street by yara zgheib. semi-autobiographical work of fiction. what sets this one apart is the protagonist isn’t a teenage girl. she’s, like, 28 i think? something like that. would definitely recommend if you get tired of reading about teens and preteens all the time
• elena vanishing by elena dunkle. at a certain point, all these books can be summarized in one sentence: she had to choose between recovery or death. it’s a very good memoir. would recommend
• born round: the secret history of a full-time eater by frank bruni. we love to see male representation in the edsheeran community. he was a chubby kid, turned to unhealthy means to achieve we!ght loss, eventually learns to heal his relationship with food and becomes restaurant critic for the new york times (ever heard of it?). would recommend
• sure, i’ll join your cult: a memoir of mental illness and the quest to belong anywhere by maria bamford. if you don’t know who maria bamford is, she’s one of the best stand up comics, period. that’s not even my opinion, it’s just an agreed upon fact within the stand up community. she’s brilliant. the book is about her mental illnesses and all the different self help groups she joins (so many!). she does go into her struggle with exercise boolimia, though that’s not the primary subject. it gets 5 stars as a book, but 4 stars as an edsheeran book because there just isn’t a lot of dis0rder talk
3 star and below ⭐️⭐️⭐️
• stick figure: a diary of my former self by lori gottlieb. good but i had trouble relating to the protagonist because was quite young and immature
• the art of st4rving by sam j. miller. some much needed male representation in edsheeran literature. and some lgbtq representation. it’s YA (young adult) fiction, not really my taste. would recommend for those who like YA. great cover art!
• wintergirls by laurie halse anderson. a lot of people love this book. i thought it was ok. it’s a work of fiction by an author who isn’t really part of the edsheeran or recovery community. it’s another YA book. i will always prefer memoirs and non-fiction
• fat chance by lesléa newman. this was the first edsheeran book i read. it was assigned reading for my high school health class. it’s a YA novel about a 13 year old girl who wants to lose we!ght. she re$tricts, she b;nges, she poorges, she becomes boolimic. i can trace my edsheeran back to this book. i started d;eting, b;ngeing, and abusing lax4tives as a direct result of reading this material. it did the exact opposite of its purpose, trying to steer young people away from toxic d!et culture. my take away was, i’m overweight, therefore i should be willing to do anything to get th!nner. it’s not very good tbh. maybe if you like YA you’d like it but otherwise, would not recommend

Woobifying Aegon was bad enough, but choosing to make megalomaniac rapist war criminal Hugh Hammer some sympathetic little meow meow and champion of the smallfolk absolutely disgusts me. How could anyone read what he did and go "gee, what if this guy was actually a victim?" And how can this show unironically claim to be a feminist retelling of the Dance?
I suspect that it's like Katy Perry's "Woman's World" where it is a man thinking of how women could/should conform themselves to a male's idea of feminism in order to survive or flourish within a male-centered and run world.
In other words...male gaze.
That being said, idk if Hugh is "champion" of the smallfolk; it's more that he's given a story people can easily sympathesize with and without the writers investing anymore in him. The punching the guy for food immediately invalidates the "champion of the smallfolk" purpose. and for some it also removed a bit of sympathy, which is ironic bc I though it actually humanized him, with all this talk about how nobles' actions affect stavation, privation, death onto smalfolk where their riots were all totally justified in F&B? What happened to Rhaenyra-is-responsible-for-her-feast/party-&-allocating-funds-foodstuffs-away-from-those-who-need-it? Now people don't like when it's on the green side where we see smallfolk deprivation and desperation?
Anyway, yeah we see him steal food from a man he punches and yes he reduces his own mother, but these are both things some people will and can just brush off as things he "understandably" "had" to do. The food stuff bc he has the sick child (this one is valid, which makes it all the more worse bc it's so manipulative on the writer's parts). The mother comment bc sex work has a stigma on it, and many people in the fandom and real life don't like disobedient young girls or looking at shit from their PoV. Or they like Jaehaerys a little too much and justify his violence behind his feelings...as if he's not the older one and her parent as well as the dude who apparently never noticed how his own daughter was feeling about her life at court and ignored his own wife when she at least tried to tell him her flawed but close-to-the-truth feelings about Saera? Sure.
What Hugh is is chosen perspective and access to how the smallfolk in KL or anywhere react and are affected by the blacks & greens' actions. Something that really should have belonged to Nettles, Essie/Sylvenna, or really just any random OC.

Deconstructing the sissy in you (extra)
Let’s go back to the beginning of the tutorial. However, let’s amplify it a little more. You always had a thing for this thing called “feminization”, which involved forcing men into wearing feminine clothing or adopting feminine roles in an embarrassing manner. That kind of thing was your kink/fetish for a good while and imagined what would it be like if it happened for real. Little did you know it was a gateway to explore your sexuality.
You browse the web for TG captions and transformations as a way to spend some “me time”. All of a sudden, you see this post:
Tumblr media
“Damn, she’s sexy!” you say out loud. You obviously want to be inside her body, but deep in your mind, you secretly want to be in her body. As in, you want to feel her soft skin, her boobs, her skirt, hair, you want to be her!
In no time, you start to see more pics like this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eventually, your feed begins to fill with captions like these...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
...while some daring strangers fill your inbox with captions like these...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Soon enough, you start to get into female fashion, changed your way of words, became interested in men, and slowly incorporated your feminization in your public life. Those hypnos and captions have changed your thinking! It got to the point where you opened a Tumblr, started to make "sissy besties", and asked for tips on how to become more "feminine". It felt mutual, it felt exclusive, it felt like becoming a part of the Mean Girls!
Tumblr media
But you wanted more. You wanted hypnosis that can destroy your "manhood". You wanted captions that affirmed your "sissy identity". You wanted hormones to grow boobs and ass. You wanted to become a woman at an instant!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But how? Desperately wanting to view more captions, you decide to find more of them on your search bar. You type "feminization captions" and the results are abundant! But as you scroll all the way down to a dead end, you find a picture of a sexy, blonde woman in red that catches your attention:
Tumblr media
"OMG! She's so gorgeous! She's the type I want to become! I need to find out who she is!" Just as you click to the image, you're sent to a blog that you're somehow familiar and/or following. You try to find the image and as you keep on scrolling, you found it belongs to a certain blog: @befemininenow. ""Be feminine now?" This is it! This is what I need! Someone who can instantly change me into a feminine woman!"
But as you read the pinned post and the introduction greeting, you feel a little conflicted. You like feminization, but the blog doesn't cater to sissies. Yet, the captions feel so persuasive and alluring, you don't know where to start. You decide to go all the way back and finally found the one that seems the sexiest.
What was the caption that caught your attention?:
Of course the one with Lilly Roma and her tight, revealing, black suit! But instead of being a sissy caption, it's a caption that tells you to be a fellow sister! "Sister? Mmm... I... I like that. Better than sissy!"
You browse the blog and find more than enough caption to your taste:
Some were a dream, some were so sexual, some were unbelievable, and some... hit right at home.
Very few captions mention the word "sissy" and when they do, it's usually not as you expected it to be. That's because the blog is about embracing femininity instead of treating it as humiliating. You try to find if there are more blogs like hers and luckily for you, there's a bunch more...
Joanna's Journey, A Miss Inside, Every Alice, Gym Bunny Candie Hart, GGS-Trans-Inspo, and so much more!
It took a while for you to realize that some of those feminization blogs aren't like the rest, including sissy blogs like Sissypinkfashionfun. They may seem a bit unrealistic at times, maybe a little overboard with the "wipe masculinity" posts. But what you love about those blogs the most is that all of them have something in common: they are not ashamed of femininity, but rather embrace it as their own.
It all makes sense: as a kid, you wanted to be a ballerina:
Tumblr media
Later on in life, you wanted to become a princess:
Tumblr media
But now...
Tumblr media
You just wish you can come out as your true self! Why be ashamed of being feminine? Why do you need to be punished for showing weakness? Why be subject to bullying for behaving a certain way? You don't really want to be a "sissy", but you want to be a girl. You love your feminine side.
Tumblr media
But in order to move on from your "sissy phase", there is one step you would have to do:
Tumblr media
That's right, girl! It means you have to come out. Whether you like it or not, it's the next step to your change. You can keep hiding in the closet, experiment with the "sissy lifestyle", and reblog feminization captions all you want. But as much as you hate to face reality, she is you. You're transgender. You're a woman inside, even if your current anatomy doesn't match it.
Tumblr media
The latter sentence didn't discourage Mikaela Ville nor Angelick Poleth (girl in the next pic) from postponing transition. Look at them now. Don't you wish to want to be like them?
But to be sure of the change, to be sure of what you really want, how far will you go into your life change? Do you want just dress feminine, but still identify as a man? Maybe you identify as a different gender? Or do you want to go further and take hormones to turn into a woman?
Tumblr media
Whatever you end up identifying as, know your identity and femininity are valid. Find your nearest gender support group, talk to doctors and therapists who can assist your gender change, and be very safe in today's environment. Remember, you are not a sissy, but a brave woman! Unlock the cages and let the lioness inside out!
(End of guides. Thank you for reading 'till the end!)

Anyways what grinds my gears specifically about the Barbie movie is the same thing that ground my gears during the feminist courses I took in college. Fundamentally, feminism is an analysis of gender. You cannot examine what a woman is or how women are positioned in society without also examining what gender is and how gender is created, maintained, and replicated on a societal level. This is an unavoidable part of the larger feminist project. And yet. In many cases. Feminist analysis focuses solely on the gender binary. Gender is analyzed through the lens of binary gender. You have men, and you have women. Furthermore, much of feminist analysis (particularly older analysis) focuses on heteronormative expressions of gender, because this is the driving force behind misogyny.
The problem with this occurs when feminists treat binary gender as a natural and normalized thing, as opposed to the artificial creation it actually is. Once you start looking at gender solely through the lens of “woman experience” and “man experience,” you can very easily fall into the trap of gender essentialism, where you take one specific group of women’s (and men’s) experiences, and you treat those lived experiences as a rubric by which all other women (and men) should be measured. This is how the white feminism we all love to dunk on was created; 2nd wave white middle class feminists began speaking to one another and formulating a list of Common Experiences that later became the Universal Woman Experience, to the detriment of woc, lgbtq+ women, disabled women, etc., who often found that their experiences with womanhood didn’t make the list.
And like. This is my problem with the Barbie movie. It falls into this same trap of gender essentialism. In the Barbie movie, there are two genders: Barbie and Ken. These categories are immutable and unchangable, and have very specific, rigid rules that must be followed. All the Barbies are femininity idealized; some Barbies are allowed to be fat, or black, or visibly disabled, but all of the Barbies are hyperfeminine. Every Barbie wears heels. Every Barbie has perfectly styled hair and perfectly matching outfits. Every Barbie has perfect makeup at all times. Every Barbie always looks runway-ready, no matter what her circumstances are. Likewise, every Ken is a study in idealized masculinity. While the Kens do wear colorful outfits that match the movie’s glitzy, saturated aesthetics, the Kens all have chiseled six packs and flawless skin. There is no fat Ken, or ugly ken, or feminine ken, and there is no Barbie who wears a crew cut and work boots. Weird Barbie comes the closest to gender nonconformity, but her nonconformity is mocked at every turn; the rest of the barbies treat her as though she’s diseased, and weird barbie herself treats her short hair, messy makeup, and baggy clothes like a curse she’s gotten used to bearing, as opposed to a source of joy or comfort.
And like. The movie is so allergic to showing any visible deviation from this gender binary that it fundamentally destroys its own premise. We’re meant to believe that Stereotypical Barbie is becoming less perfect, and that this is a good thing, but we’re only ever shown this imperfection once; as a disembodied 1-second shot of cellulite that could belong to anyone. You never see the cellulite on Margot Robbie’s body. You never see Barbie’s imperfection manifest physically; instead, it remains in the abstract realm of imperfect thoughts. Likewise, the movie spends a long time critiquing toxic masculinity, but never extends that critique to masculinity itself. Ken’s moral lesson is that he’s just Ken, as in he’s just a man, but the movie doesn’t bother presenting an alternate version of what it means to be a man beyond vaguely gesturing towards the abstract notion of Masculine Man, But Good This Time, Because He Is Nice To Women Somewhat. So while the movie might’ve had some salient points with regards to gender and feminism, it gets lost in the simple fact that, just like mainstream feminism, it offers a shallow critique of women’s position in society without critiquing the underlying binary structure that constitutes women’s oppression. In essence, it decries patriarchy while continuing to uphold the gendered norms that reinforce patriarchy in our day-to-day lives.
And like. I’ve been seeing a bunch of posts about how it’s bad, morally, to critique the Barbie movie for [insert women’s solidarity reasons here]. But like. The thing is. Why the fuck should I care about solidarity with the fucking Barbie movie. According to the Barbie movie, my butchness is undepictable. I am a shameful exile from womanhood just like weird Barbie; doomed to helping other women realize their full feminine potential without ever reaching it myself, cursed with butchness because of some latent trauma. The Barbie movie doesn’t care about my lived experience as a woman, just like the Barbie movie doesn’t care about weird Barbie’s lived experience as a Barbie. The movie doesn’t care about racism, or classism, or about anything other than a universalized hashtag Woman Experience. If you liked the Barbie movie, fine. If you saw yourself in it, good for you! But don’t try and tell me that the only reason I don’t like the Barbie movie all that much is because Im allergic to fun, or haven’t read enough feminist theory, or just need to practice solidarity better. Feminism isn’t a cudgel you can use to silence people who disagree with you.

Today We Honor bell hooks
Trailblazing author, poet, feminist, cultural critic and professor bell hooks preferring to spell her name with no capital letters as a way of de-emphasizing her individual identity, was born Gloria Jean Watkins as the fourth of seven children in Hopkinsville, Ky. Her pen name was a tribute to her maternal great-grandmother, Bell Blair Hooks.
The author of more than three dozen wide-ranging books, hooks published her first title, the poetry collection And There We Wept, in 1978. Her influential book Ain’t I a Woman: Black Women and Feminism followed in 1981. Three years later, her Feminist Theory: From Margin to Center explored and criticized the feminist movement’s propensity to center and privilege white women’s experiences.
Frequently, hooks’ work addressed the deep intersections of race, gender, class, sexuality and geographic place. She wrote about her native Appalachia and growing up there as a Black girl in the critical-essay collection Belonging: A Culture of Place and in the poetry collection Appalachian Elegy: Poetry and Place. - via Anastasia Tsioulcas, NPR

Snow Not White and the Seven Not Dwarfs
Tumblr media
How to push feminism too far? Simple. Make a female protagonist odious pretending „she’s a leader now“.
Apparently, Disney’s new Snow White is meant to be brave, fearless and true. She just doesn’t seem to care about anything but herself.
First, we have a princess whose main characteristic, even before she develops a personality (she’s just a baby), is her snow-white skin. The role goes to a brown-skinned actress because apparently that’s not illogical but progressive. In my personal opinion it’s racism the other way around.
“It was the middle of winter, and the snow-flakes were falling like feathers from the sky, and a queen sat at her window working, and her embroidery-frame was of ebony. And as she worked, gazing at times out on the snow, she pricked her finger, and there fell from it three drops of blood on the snow. And when she saw how bright and red it looked, she said to herself, ‘Oh, that I had a child as white as snow, as red as blood, and as black as the wood of the embroidery frame!’ Not very long after she had a daughter, with a skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and hair as black as ebony, and she was named Snow White.”
(1812, Brothers Grimm)
Then, we see pictures of said heroine surrounded not by dwarfs but by seven „magical creatures“ who she apparently leads (leads to what?)
Rachel Zegler, in interviews, comes across as everything the original Snow White was not, e.g. narcissistic, selfish, unkind and narrow-minded. The movie is even called „Snow White“ to make clear that her relationship to the seven dwarfs (?) creatures (?) is not important.
Zegler, who already earns millions for every role she plays, says she wants to be paid for every minute she works.
She says she didn’t like the original film. Shouldn’t an actress playing a role watch the original over and over, to get into it? She couldn’t make it clearer that she wants to play herself, not a role.
She pretends that the prince, who approaches Snow White chastely singing under her balcony, is actually a weird stalker.
She says that the original story was too old-fashioned because there apparently is a big focus on her love story. (The lovers spend about three minutes together.)
And the Disney studios just let her talk.
Maybe I got things wrong and the new Snow White is actually meant to be a parody. Or a travesty. Whatever.
We don’t need this. No one does.
The 1937 Snow White was a motherly figure, not a girlboss. And she didn’t mind getting her hands dirty even if she was of royal blood. She loved chastely until her prince came with the intent of marrying her. Please tell me what’s wrong with that. Not everybody can or should be a girlboss, the world needs nice, gentle women too. (Apart from the fact that a girlboss is not the same as heartless bitch.)
The original German fairy tale was a parable on puberty: Snow White runs away from her stepmother when she’s still a child, falls under the spell and is protected by the dwarfs in her coffin until she’s grown up. Meeting the prince and marrying him is her sexual awakening. Now that would have been an interesting story to tell, if they really wanted to make something new; but I guess it would have been too sexual, shocking.
Or maybe they wanted to tell the story of a princess who reunites her kingdom after her stepmother usurped her throne, and enlists seven “magical creatures”, all belonging to a different species (likes dwarfs or elves)? Nothing wrong with that. It could be an interesting story if told right. But it’s no longer Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. If you want to write a story that has nothing to do with the one that inspired it, find it another title and another name for the protagonist. It shouldn’t be that difficult.
Who pretends that the original Snow White is a bad character example should not prevent their children from watching the movie, or have a new „girlboss“ version shoved down their throats, but explain to their children that it’s actually a film and not reality. And maybe encourage them to have a life of their own instead of spending their entire time in front of a screen until they can’t discern a story from real life.
It’s this that is digging their grave right now, not the Star Wars controversy. What could you possibly do wrong with a film that’s beloved by generations and that was almost flawless? Exactly, turn it upside down, i.e. make it awful.
And after the backlash following the first trailer, things didn’t get better but worse.
Snow White is now surrounded by dwarfs, but instead of doing any menial task she teaches them how to clean the house. She’s living in their house, eating their bread and refusing to do as much as touch a broom.
Great. Then go digging in the mines tomorrow, you entitled brat.
And make the Queen the heroine. After all, she’s the queen, so she’s a girlboss, right?
Sheesh.
