AAHHHH THE THEY. THE BABEYBELOVEDS

soo throwing out my pmd au designs for the trio, and also their levels and movesets bc I put way too much thought into this already and I’m gonna yap about all of it under the cut :>

so for why I chose the pokemon I did…David and Hilda’s pokemon were really quick to figure out for me - teddiursa is already orange and literally the son boy pokemon so it was a perfect match imo, and shinx picks up 3/4 of Hilda’s colour palette without even trying. plus the electric type has a reputation for being a bit feisty and impulsive so that fits Hilda p well I think

Frida gave me way more trouble finding a suitable match but I think I’m finally happy w making her an espeon. I think her being a psychic type is a good analogue for magic so it ticks that box, and espeon picks up the purple in frida’s s3 design (her white patches are also meant to relate to her s3 look :> ). alsoo it’s not super obvious here but her inner ears and gem are blue so she can still match both hilda and david’s colour palettes like god intended 😌 OH and also a bit of Frida’s clothing/decor in the show is cat-themed, so I figured if she likes cats so much she can be one. as a treat 😌

so in this AU Hilda takes the place of the player character, so she’s the one randomly waking up in the pokemon world with amnesia and the vague recollection of being human before whereas David and Frida are just regular pokemon (something something parallel to Hilda moving to the city and having no idea how anything works vs David and Frida already having it figured out etc)

at the start, Frida is already evolved and a bit higher level than the others. I was thinking of that drive to overachieve & live up to expectations that she has at the start of the show, and how in a pokemon au evolving a little early would probably be a point of pride for her (and her parents). david and hilda on the other hand don’t have much expertise battling yet (Hilda is literally fresh into being a pokemon so doesn’t have battles figured out and David is actively scared of them) so they’re low-level and their movesets are basic, though I tried to tailor them to their personalities a little bit. I wanted to make Frida’s moveset more tactical and thought-out since she’s the one planning and strategising to keep the team on track. (a moment of silence for her hanging on to Baton Pass when she’s in a team with two pokemon who are too scared/inexperienced in battle to be any help at all…) plus she has the odd TM bc I figure if her parents had such high hopes for her, they’d try to make sure she had a good start and got the best moves money could buy. at the point where Hilda comes in, Frida and David both want to become explorers but for their own reasons can’t quite work up the nerve to make it happen yet..we’ll get to that in the next post :>

I HAVE LORE FOR THE PROTAGS FOR NOBLE'S WILL AU.

My silly brain cant decide of wether I wanted Rei or Akari to be the protags for this, so SCREW IT.

ITS BOTH.

In this Au, instead of Akari and Rei being sent to Hisui from some other timeline like in canon, they were made from Arceus THEMSELVES, a pair of clones made to resemble a protag from other timelines past, tasked to fix the rifts affecting the region, who other word but just "SEEK OUT ALL POKEMON" , as soon as they were brought to life.

They have NO memories of who they were based by, just have their faces. They dont know they were created at first, just knowing the other kid beside them is their sibling and they are a pair. They know they arent a part of this region, but wanted to know where they come from.

Akari claimed herself as the older one of the pair (by a mircosecond), and is very passionate for exploring and battling, only amplied by her twin being there. A wild child at heart, adores her sibling dearly. Tends to run into trouble, but always looks for the bright side of things.

Rei on the other hand is the younger twin, is a lot more shy and quiet then his sister, but is very creative with his hands. Loves gift giving, and exploring with his twin. Considers himself to be a scaredy skitty, but his heart is as brave as a Luxray.

Along being gifted their affinity to catch pokemon with ease and underdtanding of their types and weakness, Arceus gifted them with a "blessing" of their own.

The twins have this glowing " halo" effect on their heads, allowing them to communicate with pokemon. This halo causes a calming effect to any pokemon they encounter, making it easier for them to befriend and catch pokemon to join their team. It also helps them sense danger is nearby.

Also, they were given the ability to copy pokemon types and features (similar to the wardens), and can switch between them. But its only the ones matching the missing plates they collect. Catch Akari and Rei swimming in the ocean with Iscan, while having little fins and gills to match.

Mostly everything in game happens in this Au, but with a few tweaks:

Akari and Rei tend to hide their abilities when living in Jubilife Village, having been told it makes the villagers "uneasy" and unsettled. Having been told it makes them stand out a bit too much. Both of them are VERY naive and being so, so young (Chronologically, theyre mentally and physically between 12-14), they believe it.

Instead of starters from Captain Cyllene, they collect their first pokemon when exploring.

Rei found a Shinx runt in an abandoned hunter's camp, saving it from the cold night. He named it Bolt.

Akari found a Shiny Zorua sneaking around their home in Jubilife, living off scraps and hiding from guards. She fed it her mushroom cakes daily until it just decided to follow her around. She named them Blackberry.

Both Clans recognize the twins as "blessings" from Sinnoh, seeing their shared abilities to with their wardens and as a way to help comfort the frenized nobles, they all see them as found family.

Only one warden has a true claim to them (Imma let y'all guess the obvious...)

Of course, not everything is easy for the duo. Along with fighting frenzied pokemon, dodging terrifying alphas, and nasty people, they have to deal with the idea that they are different.

They see a lot of kids their age or even younger than them running and playing, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying their lives. Which.. makes them question why they were here in the first place. Did they have family? Friends they left behind? They didnt know.

One day, they asked Arceus after the rifts turned for the worst, causing them to be blamed and cast out my Commqnder Kamado himself, being seen as "monsters" than actual children by most if the villagers

They begged the Alpha pokemon for an answer, only to be given a sad but honest message:

"My chosen pair, I afraid you have no previous home or origin. No kin besides each other. I had created you both to help this fix this stained region, yet witheld this information from you, for not to weigh you down. I have no hand in the fate that had fallen upon you, my vessels. And for that, I am sorry."

And that's the basics of it so far.

Saki: I think both Sun and Moon and XY work but if I had to choose one, it would be XY!! She would LOVE Lumiose City and the botiques as well! Based on the anime, I think she would either perform in the Pokemon Showcase and/or Pokevision videos

Honami: Sword and Shield !! She would probably get freaked out with all of the scary pokemon in the wild area, but she would love playing with her pokemon and camping :3 plus there’s appletun too cmon chat

Shiho: Black and White. I can’t explain but I think she would the pokemon, it’s gym leaders, and the legendaries. I just think that the whole region matches her vibes, that’s the best I got..

Kohane: Sun and Moon! She loves all the pretty spots in the game and the camera option and the Photo Booth in the ultra games. Also the island scan!! She definitely spent a long time scanning all the QR codes to get all of the pokemon! She also caught a shinx and named it after An. SHE WOULD ALSO PLAY THE NEW POKEMON SNAP TOO PLEASEE SHES A PHOTOGRAPHER IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE !!

An: Platnium. she has a luxray on her team btw. That’s very important!! She likes the legendaries and sees shaymin as Kohane! She likes the cities and the pokemon that came with the gen. Since shaymin is an event exclusive, she caught a furret and named it after Kohane :D she also adores Cynthia.

Akito: Legends Arceus.. he likes the “difficulty” (he lost to Volo 100+ times btw) I don’t think I have to explain anything else. He never trusted volo anyways smh.

Toya: Sapphire/Alpha Sapphire (both could work). He likes the lore around it and the map :3.. kyogre is his favorite and he likes to compare groudon to Akito :3 (just ignore the rivalry the two legendaries have). It makes sense to him and him only. He probably also uses spectile too.

Wonderlands x Showtime:

Tsukasa: I think he’d enjoy Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee. He would love to communicate with his starter and dressing up with them! He cried when he walked into viridian forest and saw all of the bug type pokemon

Emu: SUN AND MOON!!! SHE LOVES ALOLA!! the trials, the islands, the pokemon, the totems, EVERYTHING!! It’s so beautiful and fun to her :3 she definitely chose popplio, has an alolan raichu, and a slurpuff!! trust me!!! please!! She ran around looking for all the crystals but asked Rui for help (He looked up the answers online before giving it to her).

Rui: AND IF I SAID MYSTERY DUNGEON.. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?! I think he would definitely play the mystery dungeon games, but I also see him playing Sword and Shield. He would enjoy dynamax so much and would try to collect all of the forms to have a full crazy team of gmax pokemon.

Nene: I’d go with Johto for her too. I think she would like to around collecting both badges and fighting double the trainers! She’d crush the gym leaders and the elite 4 too!

Nightcord at 25:00:

Kanade: Legends Arceus. She likes the beauty of the game and the nobles. She likes to imagine which pokemon she’d be the warden of. She also likes the many areas and the story :D

Mafuyu: She doesn’t really play Pokemon. She plays her friends favorite games when they let her and she couldn’t tell you which one was her favorite. Though if she did, she would probably like Sinnoh and would play Platinum. I don’t have any explanation, just a feeling.

Mizuki: Any game with customization could work tbh, so Gen 6 - Gen 9!! I would choose Scarlet and Violet though :3 it allows customization and i think she would love terastallization and how your pokemon gets all crystaly and shiny during it!! Though she would definitely travel to Kalos to perform in the showcases

Ena: She would also play Scarlet and Violet too. She would enjoy the school and the terastallization. She would plan her team and see what Tera type they would have, and if it would work good. Though it’s important to know that she has the version that Mizuki DOES NOT have. They play and trade the version exclusives with each other, BUT FOR FUN, they like to debate which one is better. They’ll pull up everything down to the legendaries to basically everything, trying to prove which is one better. Thats it ty.

I love the PokemonxVrains au! I was looking through Pokemon to see what could match, and I came to the discovery that no Pokemon has a three or even two stage evolution that is pure flying type. So for Windy's partner he could have a Rookidee that never evolved into it's final form.

As for Jin, their are a ton of pure electric evolutions, but I think Shinx is a good choice, as I could see that bubbly personality having a hard time controlling their electricity.

I think the idea (as a Datastormshipper) of Yusaku giving Ryoken or vise versa and it just hasn't happened yet a Applain is adorable!

(Deep sigh) you know. When I came up with the ��the lost kids received one pokemon that was purely their Ignis type idea” I thought ‘this will be fun and thematic, it can’t possible cause me any problems :D’

The dark type easy best boy Absol one of my faves and a great pull thematically from Yusaku.

Then on to Specter (the 2nd lost child we meet, yes we learn about Jim first but we don’t meet him or learn more than fellow victim so I’m waiting on him) Cubone. Again it’s a ground type and great thematically for him as a character.

And you know both of them has small pools to pull from especially the ground type likes to double as rock. But I was like this is okay fire, water, and electric should be okay. I checked them to see my options and I got a lot of them.

You know who I didn’t check? Flying. Until this very moment.

Why is Windy and his original giving me all the problems? Paradox pokemon, there’s only one flying type and it’s also the only dark type so it goes to Yusaku. Meaning they don’t fit the theme… I have a plan for that and a way to explain it in cannon but come on! And now my only options are a Rookidee that can’t evolve past its second stage or Tornadus who’s a legendary. Thats it! Those are the only pure flying types.

Is this why the writers ignored Windy’s origin in the show? I feel like every time the lost kids are brought up we can talk about the other 5 with ease and then we go and this one exists…. Moving on.

I’m going to have to strategize here. Cause I already gave Ryoken the Rookidee line. Ya I can remove it or double up…. Maybe give one of them a shiner to visually distinguish their birds. The shiny has a silver coloration, does that fit Ryoken better than Windy’s origin? I’m going to say yes.

Must think on this….

But let’s talk about the other three who I have way more options for!

Takeru has so many options but I think I’m settling on Growlithe for his Lost Incident partner. Growlithes are known for their loyalty and I think that’s a big this for Takeru. It’s also a full fire type. I honestly have his team fully picked out based on his cards I just need to figure out when he gets them/evolves them. Gowlithe is also filling in the role of Sunlight wolf. I thought about giving him Hisuian Growlithe cause I love that design but that one is fire/rock and alas does not match my rules.

Miyu has a lot of options as well hand I haven’t met her in cannon yet so I need to see her personality and how the Marincess play and fiction. Since Aoi doesn’t get these cards until she becomes Blue Maiden, I can only assume she got them from Aqua. (I could be wrong about this) my assumption is that these cards were originally intended for Miyu, but Aoi gets to use them since she’s filling in as Aqua’s partner. Maybe in this au it Miyu’s team that Aoi uses as Blue Maiden or at least she has access to them. Again these are ideas I’m playing with.

For Jin I think you’re so right with the Shinx line. It’s bubbly and as a baby would have problems controlling its power. Also Legends of Arceus has taught me that line is viscous. And a shiny Shinx line fights lightings ascetic to a T.

I’m playing with the idea of the ignis having “digital copies” of Pokemon. Think about the first Pokemon movie/3rd Pokemon movie where Mewtwo and the Unknown had clone/dream Pokemon to fight for them.

Maybe Jin’s Shinx is shiny and all the copies aren’t or reverse Jin’s is the regular color but lighting uses a copy that’s shiny because he changed it to fit his wants like he changes and manipulates Jin.

Also on the last note. I still don’t know what ship I’m going to sail with. Datastorm can be cute or very possessive depending on how you spin it. A don’t dislike it, I’m actually a fan but I also like in multishipping hell.

Firestormshipping is actually what convinced me to give Vrains a go. (I saw them interact in duel links and then learned about the character arcs and my mind went is Soulburner a Jesse Anderson or a Crow? Both joined the cast late to mixed reviews. I adore Jesse and love spiritshipping, but I always saw Crow as a brother to Yusei. So I wasn’t sure which route they went with Soulburner. I’m still getting to know him so we will see what camp I end up in)

All that being said Ryoken or Yusaku giving each other an Applain is one of the best ideas I’ve had for this au.

(It also works for specter and Ryoken. Really any Ryoken ship works here)

I think it is something Ryoken would love as a dragon expert and also something he would pull just because he thinks it’s romantic. I’m very much looking forward to playing with this idea more in the future.

assigning a Pokemon to every Doctor Who

Because I Want To(TM)

Gonna do this within the specific Pokemon/Doctor Who crossover AU framework of: 1. Pokemon exist everywhere in the universe and 2. The Doctor's partner Pokemon is actually connected to the TARDIS. It's like a little part of her personality that she sounds out to accompany the Doctor and help them out.

Also, I'm choosing first-stage Pokemon, mainly so that there isn't imbalances in strength between choices. Let's just say that this TARDIS partner Pokemon can evolve on the fly when needed but prefers to be small and cute.

Okay, with that out of the way, let's go!

First Doctor: Eevee It's a classic that's full of potential, not quite done cooking but already iconic.

Second Doctor: Zorua Crafty yet adorable. I can just picture Jamie and Zoe cooing over it and lapping up all the adoration. Illusions are very, very handy in a pinch!

Third Doctor: Pichu It can power his gadgets! It can nibble on wires to foil villains' plans! It matches the color scheme of his sonic screwdriver!

Four Doctor: Cottonee Extremely fluffy- I like to think it hides in his hair. Insert grass-type-weed joke here.

Fifth Doctor: Fomantis It rides around on his lapel instead of the celery! Also, its evolution Lurantis has matching baconpants.

Sixth Doctor: Litten It's a cat, it's a fire type, I shouldn't really need to explain this one. (It uses Sunny Day to help give Peri's plants sunlight!)

Seventh Doctor: Murkrow Clever, shady, and has a nice hat. (I also headcanon Ace with a Combusken, so Seven & Ace both have birds.)

Eighth Doctor: Litwick Ghostly candle matches his gothic edgelord vibes. Probably won't steal your soul.

War Doctor: Lucario Making an exemption to the first-stage rule because the Warrior doesn't have time to mess around. Despite joining the Warrior in full-on combat, Lucarios have an in-built sense of right and wrong. Proof, perhaps, that the Warrior hasn't entirely lost his way...

Ninth Doctor: Houndour A bit intimidating, a bit prickly, but deep down, it's still a good dog at the end of the day.

Tenth Doctor: Shinx Keeping with the canine themeing but this time upping the cuddly. Don't think too hard about how dangerous electricity can be.

Eleventh Doctor: Rowlet Okay, this one's just cuz it has a bowtie.

Twelfth Doctor: Noibat It's a living boombox! I like to think that the Noibat holds a guitar sound cord in its mouth to amplify the Doctor's guitar playing through its ears.

Thirteenth Doctor: Swablu Similar typing and evolution line to the previous, but this one takes the joyful exterior to the max. It even matches her color scheme!

Why do you guys Luxray? Seriously, why do you like it? It's not a fairy/ghost/plant pokémon. It's not cute. Do you find it badass? Or is it nostalgia, because you captured a Shinx early and won the league with a Luxray?

For me it's a very nice design the whole way through, I love the blue/black combo and they do it nicely!! Also my first encounter with it was the new Snap (which has some adorable and awesome interactions) and then in Arceus where she was a huge help! So yeah I tend to sway more that way!

I understand the frustration though! I've felt a little the same when some of my favorites lost throughout this competition! Just remember everyone has favorites :)

But anyways what about you guys? Why do you love Luxray over their opponents?

My family has been taking care and raising Shinx's for a long time and I adore them more than anything, but I think it's time to introduce some other pokemon to our shinx, luxio, luxray family. Got any suggestions for other pokemon that get along with shinx?

The Shinx live in packs, so any other same-sized 'mons with similar pack structures can work well with 'em! The Meowth line grows approximately at the same rate as a Shinx, and they share the same leader-based pack structure, so they're good choices! Electrike and Jolteon can also work well with 'em, plus they have a natural resistance to the natural static electricity in their hair.

What I wouldn't recommend is getting a canid or "dog" 'mon (even though there is still debate about what a "dog" is), like Growltihe or Rockruff as they tend to not do well in those types of packs and are, unfortunately, usually rejected by the group.

OOOOOH I LOVE THIS QUESTION oki so, I have a shitload of favorite pokemon but I have 6 that I really love n those r Sceptile, Hypno, Azumarill, Quagsire, Voltorb n Alolan Raichu :33

Hypno because I have a pokemon universe I made up w ocs n such and he's a MAJOR major character in it (all my favs r in it actually) , but I originally started loving him because of SoulSilver n HeartGold. It was the first pokemon game where your pokemon could follow u around n I would always have Hypno follow me because his text lines were very silly n that's when he started growing on me, but the creepypasta n the fnf mod also boosted my love for him

Sceptile has been my favorite pokemon ever since I was a toddler n if I really had to choose a fav from the 6 I mentioned it would be Sceptile. The anime is what made me start loving the entire evolution line, the angst w him was craaazy. I genuinely cannot express in words how much I adore Sceptile he means a lot 2 me

Azumarill became one of my favs during lockdown. I did a pkmn ruby nuzlocke n she together w Sceptile were absolutely carrying my team and obv I grew attached + rabbits r one or my fav animals so that's a bonus

Quagsire is just Quagsire. It's awesome it's amazing I love him. No idea how or why I started loving him as much as I do today but I do and I would die for him.

Voltorb is silly. I have my pokesona who's partner is a Voltorb n it just follows her around n it's so kyoot, Voltorb is underrated

Alolan Raichu I kinda have a history with. When gen 7 first released n I looked through the Pokedex I just saw it n went "THAT'S THE ONE." n immediately became a fan. The first ever box of Pokemon cards I ever got was Alolan Raichu themed, my mascot on instagram was Alolan Raichu before I changed it to Randy, my first ever alolan pokemon I got (if we don't count the starters) was Alolan Raichu in pokemon ultra moon, it's just been present in my life in one way or another ever since it was first presented n I love it dearly

I wanna talk about the classmates of the school where Miru the Oshawott goes to a school called The Floral School. And his class name is Normalium (Yes, Z crystal references.) In his classroom, there are 24 students including Miru. Those 24 students are divided into a team of 6. And I'm gonna show them here, starting with ⭐Team Dream Runners⭐

This team is made of: Miru the Oshawott Scarlet the Fennekin Leaf the Chespin Ruby the Zorua Rio the Riolu Star the Kirlia -------------------------------------------------------------- Miru the Oshawott is a 13 years old boy who is energetic. He always dreams about being the strongest hero of all. Even if he acts childish sometimes, he gets serious if the moment requires it. Scarlet the Fennekin is a 12 years old girl. She is a cute girl and sometimes makes silly moves. Sadly, her past was very tough on her. She is Miru's best friend. Leaf the Chespin is a 13 years old boy. He is very kind and peaceful, he loves to hangout with his friends. Ruby the Zorua is a 12 years old prankster girl. She always love to make harmless prank on anyone if she can, thanks to this, she became a troublemaker. Rio the Riolu is a 13 years old boy. He takes his training seriously because he wanna be as strong as his older brother. (He is also a friendly version of Sasuke from Naruto lol) Star the Kirlia is a smart 13 years old girl who acts cool on her way. Akira and Morgana "play" one pokemon fangame each.

Okay cool you reading? I played one game, Pokemon Rejuvenation, making decisions and naming pokemon how I thought Akira might. I did the same thing with a different fangame, Pokemon Z, but making decisions and naming pokemon as Morgana. The best way to describe this entire thing was method acting. I didn't complete either game.

Q: Why did you do this?

A: Writer's block. This was a characterization exercise. I also happen to like pokemon but don't like paying 60 bucks to play a new game .

(This was convenient because it was free to download both fangames, since due to legal reasons, any fangame that slaps a price on itself is guranteed to get fucked by Nintendo.)

Q: Why didn't you finish either game?

A: Poor commitment. Pokemon Rejuvenation was also bone breakingly difficult because I underestimated its Normal Mode. This is in no way an insult to the game, as it made triumphs all the sweeter and somehow worked out for "playing as Akira".

Q: How far did you get in either game?

A: I got through a little under half of each game (Roughly a week spent on each game)

Q: Will you spoil either game?

A: A tiny bit, but not mid or late game shit.

PLAYTHROUGH AKIRA (Pokemon Rejuvenation)

God this game is dark. Like, many characters die in a way that leaves you staring at the screen in the pitch of your room at 2AM kind of dark.

The Akira that I'm writing in a fic looks at this shit, looks at the game giving him the option to be nice to others, and fucking runs with it. He doesn't care about what his little character lost. Even though he separates himself from the game by pointing out all sorts of tropes and shit that happens to his character, at times laughing or celebrating when he ends up predicting how badly things are going to go through, he sits in silence when he sees the hearts of those other little characters on the screen get broken.

He's gone out of his way countless fucking times just to complete different quests for other characters. Once, there was a pokemon that was abandoned by a trainer who thought it was worthless. Akira immediately set everything aside to follow and defend this pokemon from its trainer after they came back, giving it false promises of being worthy of their love if only it got its act together and stopped being useless in battle. Akira claimed it after defeating them. He named it Victory. Through fights against gym leaders, warped horrors, and corrupted people, he kept Victory on his team like a good luck charm.

Needless to say, he connected to many of the main characters intended to be the protagonist's friends. He only caught a small number of Pokemon, going off of what he resonated with, needed, or thought was cool. He had a rotating set of pokemon he'd use the most, and made sure that each of them were all similar levels with each other because it felt fair. Despite this, here are the pokemon he ended up using the most:

Jokerson (Samurott, and his starter. He chose it because in the lab, it was the only pokemon that kept glitching out and spinning uncontrollably whenever he walked.)

Ouppy :) (Mightyena. He didn't expect it to be so trusty, but after it landed many, many, many killing blows, he saw that he created a monster. The stronger it gets, the more he adores its name.)

Victory (Floatzel. Yup, that pokemon that got abandoned! He's cheered it on in many a battle.)

Ryuji (Luxray. It reminded him of Ryuji as a Shinx and has turned out to be a straight up amazing pokemon who was tanked a lot of impossible-seeming stuff)

Akechi (Scolipede. Its posture and overall attitude reminds him of Akechi, and it ended up becoming scarily good in battle.)

Pipe Bomb (Jumpluff. Horrible pokemon he needed to cheese his way through tough battles.)

Fried Shrimp (Skrelp. He loves its name, and for some reason it kept coming in clutch.)

Haru and Haru^2 (Sawsbuck and Galarian Ponyta, respectively. He saw a Deerling and thought, "holy shit... that's Haru!" and then hatched a ponyta egg and thought, in horror, "Why are there two pokemon that fit Haru so well?! It turns out that both are terrifying forces in battle, which he unfortunately underestimated multiple times.)

CONCLUSION:

Akira took a world full of hurt and betrayal, tough as nails, and forcibly carved a place for the little characters on the other side of the screen to be happy. Many silly times were found because of his in-game actions, and he was rewarded by the game for his efforts.

PLAYTHROUGH MORGANA (Pokemon Z)

This is Kalos during the revolution (similar to France) with levels of darkness close to Pokemon Black and White and its normal difficulty close to Pokemon X and Y.

Morgana was so fucking down for all of this. He found the story and world to be fascinating, taking both very seriously. He ended up really liking a handful of pokemon, but for a long while caught as many new pokemon as he could find because the professor, a beautiful and talanted woman of alchemy, told him to.

There were times where the story made Morgana feel... conflicted as he played. This game was taking place during a revolution, after all, and it shows plainly that no side is perfect. As much as he wants to side with the revolution... the movement is being puppeted, and those apart of it don't know the entire story. Still, be believes that the majority of those in power need to be taught a lesson, and reveled whenever an officer or notable figure challenged him to battle after wrongly accusing him or his rivals. Since the game was relatively easy, it was absolutely a power fantasy for him.

Morgana was able to keep a handful of pokemon to fight with, and for the ones he used, he put a little work into optimizing their stats, moves, and abilities so that he could depend on them no matter the situation. He chose his pokemon based on if they looked cool to him, which usually meant looking some version of classy. Some of the main ones are:

Zorro (Chesnaught. His starter! He just ended up resonating with that one and decided that it would be his signature pokemon.)

Reynard (Thievul. Morgana saw its cool mustache and posture and whole demeanor and thought it was coolest thing ever. No, he didn't care if it wasn't the best pokemon for actual battles.)

Pandora (Umbreon. He spent a shit ton of time boosting that Eevee's friendship to get the coolest evolution and he's going to make it count, damn it!)

Kitsune (Ninetales. It 100% reminds him of Yusuke, but he won't admit it.)

Moonbit (Nidoking. He took one look at a male Nidoran and thought it was the coolest thing ever, so he made it a point to be one of the pokemon he kept on his team most.)

Delphi (Absol. It's so cool and badass and WOAH it critical hits everything! Hell yeah!)

Medusa (Arbok. Not only does he love the design, but its move Glare helps So much when it comes to catching pokemon.)

Bakeneko (Persian. It may be a cat... but... just look at it! And it also knows Pay Day, which gives you money, so of course he'd keep a pokemon that's fast and strong and gives you money!)

CONCLUSION:

It was an accidental galaxy brain move to method act play a game based on a revolution in history. Morgana was able to have a power fantasy that left him unprepared when hit with messy moral problems regarding the corruption of institutions, not just individuals.

1: what's your favorite pokemon?

I have a few and they're not for any real "logical" reasons so much as a mix of pure sentimentality and looks (aka, how cute they are). So shinx (the entire line), piplup (again, entire line, though piplup is obviously the cutest of them), and eevee and their eeveelutions (vaporeon/umbreon/jolteon best but all of them honestly). My very first starter was piplup and I had a shinx in that same team so yeah, definitely biased there. Oh! Also got a soft spot for rowlet because owls (and also Edgeworth comparisons). I'd say pikachu as well (when I played mystery dungeon I kept rerolling until I got pikachu ngl) but that's got to be considered default, surely?

7: favorite type(s)?

Electric and water. I know it probably leaves blindspots but they synergise so well together when it comes to moves and some of my faves are electric and/or water so

Any facts in particular about Luxray, or the Shinx line?

Of course, I'm always happy to share Pokémon facts!

The Shinx line is one of the many Pokémon living here in Paldea. They're all adorable electric types! Something I like about this line is that they gain a yellow ring on their forelegs with each evolution! Their forelegs are also used for communication - Luxio rest them on others to communicate! They use electric pulses from their claws to do so. However, I do NOT advise communicating with them like that! Seriously, it's dangerous! Even a light scratch can seriously harm you, so please approach these Pokémon with caution!!! Especially considering how when they're fully evolved, they can even see you through walls! But they also use that ability to look for their lost young. How sweet!
